I had a terrible visit. Sheets were dirty. Staff was rude. I will not stay again.

Very nice rooms and the front desk staff was very friendly!

Tv didn't work in the bedroom. Needed towels, a blanket, and toilet paper. Only asked for them to be dropped in the room at 7am when we left for the day. Never got them. Tried to speak to the manager several times and she was never available. Never made contact with me. I took the stuff I needed from house keeping cart as they passed over my room. I was told they had 2 house keepers and were cleaning rooms for new guests. This place can't handle the amount of rooms they have. Beds are awful and it's filthy here. Parking is a nightmare and its EXPENSIVE here.

It was a beautiful place to stay the rooms were nice, nice view looking out your window. And the breakfast in the morning was awesome everything was hot That was supposed to be hot, everything cold that was supposed to be cold, and they didn't run out of anything.

Hotel was modern a generally clean. Pool and hot tub was cloudy and no towels. Room requests we're not fullfilled (crib, extra blankets and pillows). What's the point of putting in your special requests while booking online when they don't get fulfilled?

I never stayed at a holiday inn personally, but my experience was phenomenal. Mak the guy at the front desk was a great help. He got me where I needed to be and went above and beyond to meet my standards.

This place was awesome! Great breakfast, nice clean rooms and great staff. I wish we could have stayed here longer.

Clean. Newly renovated. Good service. Free breakfast with large selection. Ask for a room away from the street. Pool and jacuzzi bring your bathing suits.

I was very pleased with my stay. The rooms are updated, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast offered was very nice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay there when I visit family in Avenal.

The hotel itself is fine, breakfast is included and as expected from this type of hotel. However, there was a funny smell in our room, I do not know if it was the mix of their cleaning product or something else…

This is a new, fresh hotel with great staff and clean modern rooms. My only complaint is the noise from the road/highway especially as there were construction crews out at 2am resurfacing the road with a lot of noise.

The hotel is very clean, modern looking, and free breakfast. The location isnt great, as it is right next to a busy highway, and the trucks engine braking in the middle of the night can be very loud. Across the highway is an "Adult Variety Store" which can make for akward conversation if traveling with business associates or family. There's also nowhere really to walk to, including for food and drinks. Overall, it's a nice, serviceable hotel if you're just looking for somewhere to stay in the area. Just don't expect the area to be friendly for out-of-towners.

Loved the room. Clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice. The staff was great. Gave us a late checkout. Woll definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is ahead not really great at Holiday inn Express, but overall a good experience. There is a bit of road nose on the west side of the hotel.

Have stayed at this particular HI Express at least 7 times in the last two years. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and has the conveniences I like such as in room coffee, mini fridge and microwave. Location is great… close to many restaurants and the office. Beds are comfortable and have both soft and firm pillows to choose from. Breakfast is also very good with lots of options including hot foods. Will continue to stay here whenever I'm in the area on business.

Best Customer Service and hotel! Barbara from the front desk was such a great person with me after we had a very bad experience at a hotel down the road! The room was so clean and fresh. Brandon the manager was a gem too! Everything was perfect after a family weekend trip to NY city. Thank you again for everything!

Free parking. Free Wi-Fi. Free Breakfast. Indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Gym 24 hrs. Free coffee at all hours. Fridge, microwave and coffee and tea in the rooms. Guest laundry room available too. Our family felt SO comfortable here. The staff is really welcoming and assisted with every inquiry.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and truck parking make this Holiday Inn Express a great choice when in Northern New Jersey! Also wanted to say thank you to Rob on the night shift for the smooth check in process!

Pretty good hotel to stay, very neat and clean. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Good and friendly front desk, good breakfast. Is there any negative point — yes only one, it is located right on the highway 1&9, getting out of the hotel during busy hour is a bit tricky.

Stayed on the 4th floor. The place is BRAND NEW. Amenities are abundant and very clean! The rooms are stylish and modern. Location on 1-9 is a little noisey but easy to get any where on the shore to Manhattan, highly recommend!

Great location for where I was visiting! Clean & bright entrance, common areas and room. All the staff was great to work with… Very helpful and courteous and super friendly.

Clean room. We requested 2 cribs to our room, when we arrived to the room they were there. They weren't assembled though. But good to know they care about it. Modern furnitures they have USB charging ports all over the room. I would stay here again.

Room was clean and comfy. No issues. Good breakfast with pancakes and scrambled eggs.

Nice hotel. First time staying. Upgraded to a suite so the rooms a nice size. Clean and quite so far. If that changes I'll update. All new furnishings and bathroom is updated. I'd stay again. Typical Holiday Inn free breakfast but it's fresh.

It's like pretty much every other Holiday inn Express that you could imagine. The rooms seem a little more updated and everything was clean. The breakfast is literally the same as everywhere else… Still sucks.

Loved my stay here… rooms are modern and comfortable. I loved that they had actual weights in their fitness center. It helped me to workout during my stay. I will be coming back for my next visit.

Our room was very clean, and the hotel had great amenities. The only real negative I have is the road noise for passing cars was so loud I had a difficult time getting to sleep. Overall still a good experience.

Two weeks ago my family decided that a group of 10 would spend the weekend together for my daughters birthday. We booked 3 rooms and had the most amazing time ever. The front desk manager Michelle is a God send. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. One of our children is disabled and the accommodations were AMAZING. This place felt like a home away from home… clean rooms, pool was immaculate and breakfast delicious. PLEASE stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed. Special thanks to Michelle, Nick and Justin for going above and beyond. Your efforts did not go unnoticed.

I was greeted by a new employee getting trained by a manager and the service was excellent. The newly renovated rooms are perfect … Great hotel and staff.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was kept clean and nothing went missing while I was gone. I am not used to the hustle and bustle so I will say, my first night I stayed up a bit late due to traffic noise. Otherwise I do recommend this hotel.

Do not stay at this hotel. Granted they were doing renovations but it did not say that when I searched and paid for this hotel online. Pool and gym closed. Everything smelt like paint/ plastic etc that it gave me a headache within 5 minutes of arrival. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again and I will be sure to call and make sure of arrangements before ever staying at a holiday Inn again. Very poor customer service about the situation at hand and the rooms weren't even that nice even though they were brand new. Mediocre. 3/10.

Nice hotel. Newly remodeled, however, the remodeling is still going on. The pool, spa and business center are all closed.

Toilets are SO loud and the doors are heavy! You can hear someone close their door down the hall. Would not suggest if you have young children.

Hotel itself was like any other holiday Inn express, and the staff was nice enough, which should land it around 4 stars. However, we were put in a room with no sound isolation whatsoever, located about 20 ft. From the heavily trafficked expressway. Needless to say, we got very little quality sleep.

Everything in hotel seemed old and broken furniture was beat up in room and the thermostat was broken i always stay at holiday inn express this one was a disappointment and management didn't care.

Well appointed except it is very painful these days to have to watch SD television on an hd-ready, high end flat screen tv. Don't have a clue why some HI Expresses are so slow to step up to HD. Especially when they are charging $149 a night.

Meh, typical, breakfast wasn't the largest selection but had the essentials. internet is amazingly slow. they don't have FOX. What the heck is that, I couldn't watch most football games. they clean the rooms daily and the staff is friendly. the rooms seemed clean to me and very livable. i'd go back again if I stay in the area again.

This is a great hotel, excellent condition and a very attentive staff, when in this area this is where I stay. Awesome free breakfast in the morning and affordable rates.

I generally use Holiday Inn Express whether on business or visiting friends. I like the breakfast and the rooms are clean. I stayed at the Woodbridge HIE in April of 2012. It was generally a positive experience, but there are some basic improvements that need to me made. The pool was ice cold, one of the exit doors was broken, and the air conditioning unit was loud (almost like a washing machine).
