We found this quickly as we were leaving Manhattan very late and wanted a place just down the turnpike. When we arrived, there was a young man with a black eye sitting on the curb in front of the door smoking. The couple checking in ahead of me were being rude to the man at the desk, questioning the higher price (Taxes, he explained) and threatening him if there weren’t enough towels in their jacuzzi room. The man from the curb came in as I was checking in to ask for a toothbrush. Aside from the other guests, this hotel was nice and comfortable. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, even offering to help us carry our luggage up the stairs to our second floor room. The room was large and clean. The TV and fridge worked well, and the water pressure in the shower was very strong. The decor, however, was terribly outdated and didn’t match at all (See someone else’s seashell bedspread picture, not the nicely renovated pictures someone else has posted). Overall, this hotel is a reasonably priced, clean place for a night’s sleep on the way elsewhere.

SUPER CLEAN rooms! Very well priced and EXCELLENT service from the older people… Not so much the younger lady, she was rude and NOT helpful. The room has NO openable windows and the fire department closed it down before we even checked in due to unsafe amounts of C02! I was afraid I would not wake up the next morning. We had no other choices because the other hotels were maxed full.

Truly a Hidden Gem in a small town. The owners were outstanding and kind and helpful in every way possible! They helped us with our luggage up and down the stairs, they helped us bring our laundry downstairs to wash and dry. They took the clothes from the washer and placed them in the dryer for us and called us in a room and told us when they were ready. They actually brought the clothes up to our room for us! They went above and beyond any place I've ever stayed including five star hotels! Very pretty, remodeled rooms lovely bathroom. I would stay there again in a heartbeat… highly recommend!

Hot tub Jacuzzi is pretty damn good. It has lights if you like that sort of thing. Clean place and nostaglic 1980's open room look and feel.

Best place to crash ever. This place would will accommodate your needs. Nice and quiet. Also very clean. Guy from the front desk at check in was very polite and made it very quick and easy. Really would visit again.

I compare with a lot of motel I will definitely come back to this one is clean in comfortable.

The room was big and roomy, very clean n quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. Parking a little tight but right in front of the front desk. Would definitely recommend this and will be coming back as well.

Moderately priced. Nice, clean rooms with large bathrooms. Staff courteous. Free Keurig coffee. Fairly priced vending machines.

Always clean and easy, fast check in. 4 stars because the rooms definitely could use an update on decor.

They have everything you need in the room to set up a romantic atmosphere. And it's clean too!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT Worst customer service ever! False information online about the room prices. Front desk person was sooo rude after I had a few questions about it. I didn’t appreciate his bad attitude. I did the mistake of not calling first since they had “good reviews. ” I regret that my husband and I left our contact information there too! I was soo upset with his rudeness. That I just handed everything back to the guy. I hope to God they just throw it away!

Very clean. Great staff. I usually stay away from non corporate hotels, but this one camed highly recommended. I too highly recommend it. It has the feel of the big hotel chains but at a very good price.

Rooms are always clean and the staff is very friendly! Have come here several times and have never had an issue! The rooms are decently sized and its a very convenient locations!

Went there with my man for a quick getaway. Asked for a non smoking room and was given a room that reeked of smoke. Asked for another room and was given another room just not as strong a smell. Staying the night made my man sick by morning. We left early. Usually a pleasant stay but this time not so happy ending.

You don't see too many rooms with a jacuzzi in them anymore. The fireplace was a nice touch too! Cool place and worth the stay.

We had an issue with checking in. They have more rules than what are listed on the website so be careful. The manger and the two employees we dealt with were extremely rude. I recommend finding somewhere else to stay.

The rooms are good and clean but some things should be fixed. And the service was good. I had a great time and felt comfortable there.

I stayed there about two weeks ago had a great time customer service was great room was very nice and clean the hot tub was awesome the only thing that was a bummer was the TV didn't really have cable but that's okay. I just made another reservation for Saturday. Highly recommended.

Great quiet and clean rooms!

Great hotel for 2-3 days or 1 night. Excellent service. Everything is clean and tidy. There were many hotels, including the same name, but in other States — there is liked the most.

Acceptable. Cheap. Pillows are like bags of cement and the bed is not nice. But. It is all clean. If you are trying to save thirty bucks by not going to one of the name brand hotels in the area I guess I would suggest this one.

Loved it. Their customer service is excellent, and the rooms are very clean and nice. Pricing is and accommodations are wonderful. The most comfortable motel I've ever patronized.

Pillows were horrible and they don't provide any type of soap except bubble bath without an additional charge. I also had to pay an additional 20 bucks just to be able to check out by 12. Any other motel or hotel I've ever been at, the check out time is at least 12. Overall, the jacuzzi was really nice but that's about it.

We stayed Sat night. I made a reservation over the phone, and they were quite casual about it (i. E. No credit card needed to hold the room) and they did have the room for us when we arrived shortly before 11PM. The room was clean, bright, and looked recently renovated (room 200). There was a lightning storm at 3:30AM, which caused a false fire alarm, so we all dressed and exited the building. The fire department came, and couldn't reset the alarm, so they CLOSED THE MOTEL and told us to pack our stuff and leave, and we had "5 minutes". So at 4AM we are in our car, trying to get some sleep in some random parking lot. But this was not the Horizon Inn's fault, and they were gracious enough to refund 1/2 my room charge (that's all I asked for) when I called back the next night. Heartily recommended, especially at the price of $109 for a Saturday night.

My Fiance and I stayed for 8 nights! King size with jacuzzi room was awesome! Staff was above and beyond friendly! Hotel was very clean! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A+++++.

I was nervous about staying at a no-brand hotel at a low price for the area but this was a very good bargain. The building and rooms show signs of wear and tear but everything is very clean and it felt safe. There is no elevator so a bit tough with a lot of luggage but the front desk staff offered to help carry bags. Free parking, free internet and microwave/fridge but no frills in other areas — — our room did not have shampoo, for example. However the location is very convenient to EWR airport and almost every store you can think of is within a few miles (big box, groceries, coffee, movies, etc. ) There is an excellent, authentic Chinese restaurant across the street.

Good motel, reasonable price, no noise from the route 1.2 weeks everything was good, Wi-Fi ok, goog service.
