We asked for a non smoking room and the room reeked of smoke. Half of the lights didn't work and there was a blood like stain on the door (picture included). When I asked to have it fixed they had us more to the door next door but were pushy about it. I wish I did not book a second night, or else I would have changed hotels. The bed appeared clean and was comfortable.

No lobby restroom, bath tub was disgusting and the smelled. We spent $140 for the room which was down the street from MetLife so that was the only positive part. The drain in the shower had never been cleaned and had stuff growing from it.

I really enjoy it stayed. The Staff are great such as Ms Edith Maintenance Supervisor, Mr Victor Front Desk made our stay MORE PLEASED! THANK U SO MUCH. Great place!

We decided to stay here because of the low price. Do. Not. The room smelled like pee when we walked in. There were tiny hairs on the towels and they were damp. There were red stains on the shower mat. The tap water smelled like chlorine. Very rude staff. We asked to change room but we’re told there were no other rooms available, but as we can see in the hallway there were many rooms that were unoccupied. The “free breakfast” is a scam. There is no breakfast. Only coffee, which they don’t even provide you with milk. Do not recommend.

Rooms are beauriful, didnt really talk to any of the staff accept for front desk, and he seems to have a attitude problem other than that enjoyed.

The receptionist needs to do an intensive customer service course. Too sarcastic and unkind.

It was okay. The room was large and clean enough, but definitely dated. Hot water was in short supply and water pressure was weak at best. Breakfast? Seriously? Not really. We had booked 2 nights but only stayed one. Wouldn't stay here again.

My experience was not good. The guy at the front desk was very rude. Now you have to leave a deposit if you want the jacuzzi room at its 127.00. Then you don't get it back for 4 to 5 days later. They advertise that they have breakfast and they don't have anything only coffee. Also I had 2 rooms one of them was a queen size room it was not very clean it had stains on the wall. They was hardly any hot water. I guess you really get what you pay for. And one more thing they had police looking for fugitives.

I like this place for the Jaccuzis.
They are spectacular!

I like the rooms, like the service, no one really bothers you and the parking has cameras. The only thing is that the complementary breakfast isn't much and they could do better.

My family and I stayed in this Econo Lodge Hotel for 2 nights, booked 2 non-smoke rooms, one for me and another for my aunt and uncle. My room was good non-smoke room but the another room definitely smells smoke, even thought it says the room is non-smoke. I tried to change the room but one of the staff told me that the system will not let them to make a change, and the only solution they gave me is to spray the air fresher, which didn't really erase the smoke smell. Also the heater wasn't functioning good enough when the outside degree was about 10 degree. Price is good, but I wish they have provided us better service. I have stayed in different Econo Lodge location, or different hotels but I never had this kind of issues…

A place with good rooms, comfortable and clean. But with many remarks in my opinion.
The staff, mostly the receptionist, is not particularly friendly or welcoming, just get to the edge of the "right" and one as a guest, always expect a cordial treatment and some "regalon. " The hotel, in winter, is a refrigerator and it is obligatory to have the heating on all day, although sometimes it is not enough.
The location of the hotel is a very important point to consider. If the purpose is to visit new York, it is not the most advisable place, since it is in new Jersey, even though the hotel pages show it as an option. The transport is expensive and although there is the possibility of moving by public transport and the bus passes in front of the hotel; The stop is about a hundred meters away and there is no sidewalk to get there. If we add to that the winter, with an intense cold, rain or snow, plus a heavy suitcase to carry, the simple fact of getting to the stop, is a very unpleasant problem; You should also consider the danger of walking those hundred meters on a road where many vehicles pass at high speed. The daily cost of round trip on the public bus, it is from us $9, 00 from the hotel to the terminal in New York (it is transport from new Jersey), to move in the city, I recommend to buy a "Metro Card" of us $32, 00 for the unlimited use of the public transport of New York by Seven days.

This was the most unenjoyable experience of my life. Me and 3 of my friends stayed here for one night and I called the front desk to ask for 2 extra blankets and towels and the manage, Raj, started to yell at me and accuse me of having more people in the room that was allowed. On the website it clearly states that 2 queen beds can hold up to 4-5 people. He said he was going to charge us extra per person and he also said he was going to watch the cameras to make sure we weren't lying. He was very unprofessional about the situation and was basically yelling at me on the phone. I am a paying customer and we did not do anything wrong and he made it seem as though we were. I have NEVER been treated that way by a manager and been disrespected so much. The room was okay but the Wi-Fi sucked, there was barely any lighting and apparently you're only allowed to have 2 people for 2 queen beds with no extra towels or extra blankets. Overall, I am NEVER going back to any Econo Lodge because of Raj.

I work about 7 minutes from here so this is a local hotel I stayed at. Weird location off of a busy interstate road; easy to miss when you are getting there. The reception desk area is very tiny and this is where the breakfast is served in the morning. It's basically a little hallway to enter and then the desk, and then a small table with a coffee machine on it. The room I had was a smoking room and I stayed for two nights. Clean and cute. Wifi was horrible. The hotel's setup is a bit strange as well but there's nothing inherently wrong about it. My door handle broke off during my stay and me and my friends had to put it back together. Best things? clean and quiet. Very quiet. Nobody will bother you here. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Decent place to stay. Not the best but will work for the price. The manager was kind enough and offered us advise about places to visit in New York.

Great value for the money. Clean. Nice rooms. Breakfast is not great. Did I saw great value? Comfy. We would come back.

It was the best value for money around. Great location. From the outside it does not look great, but from the inside it's good. From here to NYC just on 30 Minutes with public transport. 4.5 dollar ride.

Nice rooms. It's located on an industrial road with not much else on it. The bus to New York picks up and drops off right near the hotel. The pastries for the continental breakfast were hard and the yogurt was expired.

A good choice to stay if you want to visit New York city without spending big dollars. A bit noisy due to the through traffic, and the nearby airport, but you get what you pay for. BTW, the hotel offers self laundry. For about 5 dollars, both washing and drying, you can get a load of laundry done. After a week in US, it is nice to have your laundry done before you catch a plan at EWR to go home.

I was disappointed because they had good reviews. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But the staff was not friendly, broken items in the room and a smell in the hallway. Won't stay there again.

Feel very at home here. The room is great. AC works amazingly. Shower has great water pressure. Love that you can park your vehicle out of the weather. Parking under the motel. Employees are very friendly. Beds and pillows are VERY comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Most employees above and beyond helpful with tips for NYC. Have list for you on how to get in and back by bus. Room nice. Quiet stay. Allowed us to leave car while in city, even though we had checked out.

Room was worth what we paid, bathroom small but adequate. Heating was broken in hallway — felt like a sauna! The one entrance was inconvenient, and small doors and turn to get in were not great to navigate with arms full of things plus a dog.

Wow the beds are comfortable! We slept well and the shuttle bus to New York is around the corner! Very convenient.

Nice rooms the staff is really nice. Literally right next to metlife stadium. Really nice outdoor/indoor room with a lounge like setup right outside the room. Love it. I will definitely come back.

For cleaning housekeeping service it's good, but don't even think about to bring your family here. Ever. Nooo Customer service attendant he is the worst brown skin guy "like Latin" or "Indian" at night shift or early morning sometimes, so don't bother yourself to argue with them, if you ever need a thing.

Very good for the money. The room was clean and there were no unexpected surprises. It's about a one minute walk from a bus that takes you right into Manhattan, which is very convenient if that's the reason you're going.

Surprisingly good hotel for its decent cost. One of the best places to stay near the city, if you are looking for a good deal.

Awful will not be interacting with again. When I rented room it looked horrible and incredibly unsafe and when I asked to switch rooms I was met with an attitude and the guy seemed pretty annoyed so I just left that dump of a hotel.

Good to visit new york bus 161 vs brings in 25 min to $3.50 if you want to avoid tolls and exorbitant parking.

I rarely write reviews but this accommodation did not meet even the lowest standards one can set for an Econolodge. Unfortunately the bathroom cleanliness could have been improved, the fridge was dirty and the floor needed a vacuum. First of all you have to pay for ice, that is a first, the hot water comes and goes and there is no seating place for breakfast. It is sad to say that I will not be a returning customer.

Good breakfast, the hotel neat enough. Hotel close to the MetLife Stadium, you can go on foot.

The location was convenient for going to the football game.

They double bill your debit/credit card if you prepaid online! beware! you will be charged twice! clean. Better than expected. Good renovations. Could use better choices in the vending machines. Nice beds sealed in bed bug covers. USA channel on cable had no sound. Better continental breakfast than most.

We stayed in this Hotel last year for our yearly girls trip, so we decided to stay again. I called to ask about a 5th person staying with us and Raj at the front desk wanted to Charge us from $125.00 a night to $145.00 a night. It clearly states on their website that the room sleeps 5 at the $125.00 price. He wouldn't budge. I felt like as a returning customer he would have been a little more accommodating but he wasn't. I cancelled my reservation and made a new one at the Clarion where we will be staying. They were very accommodating and gave us the roll away bed for our 5th person for free. That's what I call customer service. Econo lodge has no customer service skills at all. I am will never be returning there again.

Single king bed was $103 no tax after a week at 100 a night I asked to switch to a single smoking room which was a room that had NOT BEEN renovated. And he wants to charge $10 more for a nastier room. I offered him $85 a night and he refused even though, the same rooms are $60 a night when u get a week. No common sense at all. Damn red dots! Stay anywhere but here.

I usually never write negative reviews but everything about this hotel was a total dissapointment. The elevators weren't functioning so we had to hike up the stairs with all of our luggage. When I walked into the room everything was very outdated and my room had a very bad smell. I walk into the bathroom and it smells like someone stacked 100 wet towels on top of eachother and just left them there for daysssss. The following morning I woke up to my boyfriends eye shut close and had huge bites all over his legs. My nephew had over 20 bites all over his body: nose, ears, arms, and legs. That same night he even got a fever! When I contacted the front desk they told they had to conduct an investigation eventhough they were clearly bed bugs! Sorry, but I would never stay here again even if they paid me to.

Absolutely outstanding. I don't have any complaints! Went to an NFL game and wanted somewhere nearby and affordable to stay. We were able to walk to the game which meant avoiding game time traffic! The room was really nice and very clean. The little things made this place one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, like having the heat already on and at a comfortable temperature on a 20 degree day and having great water pressure despite the hotel being filled! I would recommend it highly to anyone.

The hotel smells like piss and all night we were scratching us we believe tracking which were moscos, morning found bed bugs in the bed, the worst hotel in my life.
