By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Upon walking into the hotel I encountered a greasy rude employee who seemed annoyed that I was checking in. There was one employee on her cellphone lounging on a chair, and two other hotel employees were talking loudly about their auto insurance and loitering in the lobby. When I went up to our room, I checked the beds — only to discover disgusting staining that I cannot figure out if it was a crap stain, a spill or bed bug…s… it was right on the seam of the mattress in room 309 and brown. I promptly went to the lobby and asked for new rooms (I had purchased two for the evening). The same employee who seemed bothered by our arrival, was clearly upset that I had requested new rooms. He then said "I will check them! " like I was making it up, and showed us upstairs to our rooms — stating this was the newly remodeled floor (judging by the staining on the carpet in the hall — I'm curious as to when). We entered room 315, he loomed in the doorway — I told him I'd check it out from here, that he could leave. Being a woman alone with a strange man in a hotel room was uncomfortable and I was there with my children. I flipped the sheet up and saw another mattress with red/copper staining, an indicator of bedbugs. I went to the lobby and just asked for a refund. He was very annoyed by this, slamming the computer mouse and then finally shoved a paper at me that was stating that I wasn't charged.

Excellent location. Whole foods and Walmart directly behind hotel with lots of other options in walking distance. Hotel itself is simple but covers all the basic needs. Parking is easy. Check in and checkout is smooth. I recommend it for a cheap and simple hotel.

Nice rooms for a pretty low price. Comfortable, good Wi-Fi, and they even have a small pool! They also serve a better breakfast than most hotels I've visited. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're coming to the area on a budget!

Overall nice experience. Plenty of breakfast options for a continental breakfast. Staff customer service could be a little more polite, friendly and engaging. Nice experience yet not thrilled to return.

The ice machine was not working during my stay. The room (113) 's heat was on full blast (July 26th) when I got to my room. Bath ceiling paint peeling. Managements response was to the effect that I should find a different hotel. Overall very poor management. Plenty of other hotels of comparable prices nearby.

Overnight guests for a wedding in town. Bed was extremely comfortable, our stay was adequate.

Clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy here. You get exactly what you'd expect which is a nice quote room and comfortable bed to spend the night. Breakfast was satisfying and the indoor pool was a treat.

The staff and the service here was excellent! I dealt mostly with assistant manager, Henre, he was always accommodating and pleasant as were ALL the staff that I dealt with. We were there for several weeks. It was exceptional for the price!

EcconoLodge doesn't mean very much, the quality of the Trademark varies. This though is a very nice hotel type lodge. At least as good as a Holiday Inn Express (except the breakfast! ). Right behind the hotel is a strip mall with a Barnes and Noble and Wall Mart in case you need something. Restaurants abound on Russell Street within 15 minutes. A very good pick. This is my second stay here and I will be back again when I need to be in Hadley MA.

This place is a little odd. The third floor wobbles a bit due to traffic. It's in the strip mall area between all the places you'd want to be. Not a fan.

Ice machine is only on tne 1st floor. Sycks if you're lazy.

For the price, this a great hotel. Clean and neat and the location is great — lots of services in walking distance.

We always stay at Hadley EconoLodge when we visit our family in Amherst. The rooms are clean, pleasant and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We'll appointed rooms, plenty of space, indoor pool was chilly, but a great stay. Breakfast is all quick thrown together stuff. No hot breakfast available.

The room needs renovations, the pool was under construction when I came but I did not get any notice of it; the heater/AC part gave off when I tried to turn the AC down. There were stains on the comforter and bed skirt. The free breakfast was 2 items and wasn't getting restocked, even only 30 min until it ended. Disappointed; wouldn't stay again.

Location is solid, right down Route 9 from town, next to the mall. Rooms were clean, only weird thing was how big the door to the bathroom was. I only stayed one night, and arrived late that night at that. Upon arrival, the receptionist was friendly, despite it being almost 1 AM. Overall very solid.

Fall to Amherst is really nice! The pic I took is out side of my room window.

My boyfriend and I had a wedding at the Marriott but forgot to book a room and we absoustley regret that. We ended up booking here due to the Marriott being sold out. For a king size bed it was $189 a night, with his law enforcement discount the room was $170, however they charged us two different taxes totaling $20 and ended up paying $190 for the room. That price was absurd. Especially because we walk in to change prior to the wedding, there was a filthy face towel under the sink with another filthy one inside the shower certain. To top it off, I went to put my purse down on the chair in the room, and there were old rotten chips covering the seat along with dirty plastic silverware on the side of the chair. Gross. When we came back to the room after the wedding, they never cleaned the room for us, and since we were only sleeping there (didn't even use the shower since we weren't sure if that was clean) we didn't complain again. Then we laid down and the bed was as hard as a rock, we were so uncomfortable that we were better off driving 2 hours home at midnight rather than staying in this disgusting hotel. We will not be staying here again.

Front desk staff is very friendly. Hotel was a good place to lay your head. Close to shopping centers and food.

Clean room, well appointed, good Wi-Fi, and nice breakfast. Much better price than surrounding hotels. Stay here.

I booked a night here through priceline. I keep my expectations simple… I want free parking, free Wi-Fi, breakfaat is a bonus. I want a comfortable clean room with a nice hot. Shower. The shower was almost warm with cold thrown in and the mold on the wall didnt impress me. The Wi-Fi was terrible, consistently dropping requiring relogging in multiple times whike attempting a simple internet search. Downloading maps ate most of. My data. But the bed was comfy, the breakfast okay and thr parking was free.

This was a great budget hotel and was within walking distance to Walmart, Whole Foods, Barnes and Noble, Eastern Mountain Sports, and more. It was an eight minute drive to the Emily Dickinson Museum or Amherst College.

It was a quick stay at this hotel, only one night, but my experience was very good. The room was spacious and had a mini fridge. Next to the front desk There is a microwave, I didn't use the indoor pool although I wanted to. They even had shaving cream and razors upon request. I loved my stay here, it was quiet and pleasant. I might choose this hotel again if I'm in the area. — Free parking. — continental Breakfast included. — Indoor pool. — It's Right next to a Walmart & a whole foods.

I had a very pleasant stay during a recent trip to Hadley/Amherst for a conference. The hotel and room were clean, quiet and the AC unit worked very well without being too loud. Breakfast was fresh (no hot items unfortunately, but hard boiled eggs and breads, which were very good). The staff was very friendly and I would definitely return in the future. Overall, an excellent stay!

This is by far my worst experience at this location and when I asked for a refund they charged me more … I hope that they fix it properly if not I will call a corporate office for better treatment.

Booked a night for a concert nearby. Arrived, there was used/old toothpaste splatter on bathroom mirror and full length mirror was just as dirty. Had no hot water for our showers. Went to the manager in the morning to tell him our experience and complain and all he said was "write a review" No apology, no offer for a partial refund or anything. Just "write a review" so here's our review. Your location SUCKS and I will NOT be back again and will tell everyone I know to stay away!

Horrible hotel and overpriced. Hotel manager lies to customers and hotel is loud. Overall this hotel should be one star hotel. Breakfast has mainly bread bagel and already cracked hard boil egg. Unsanitary and disgusting. I almost threw up looking at. Who knows who prepared it and if they used gloves. Juices are not cold enough and coffee are strong side and they sat there too long. Don't go here they will rip you off.

The location is very good. It has access to a lot of local shops, as well as being adjacent to Walmart and Dunkin' Donuts. However, the Wi-Fi in the hotel is absolutely terrible.

This hotel is great for its price point. It does show some age but the rooms are well kept.

It's on a major road, but you can't hear thing while you are inside the room! The beds are comfy, breakfast is alright.

Great location in Hadley, not too far from downtown Amherst. Rooms were surprisingly comfortable — soft and clean beds, nice AC on a hot summer night, and a fair price. The continental breakfast left much to be desired, though.

Honestly this place is not bad. I just cant bring myself to rate any Econolodge higher than a 3. For the most part this Econolodge is much better that ALL I have stayed in which tops off at about 40. Rating as a 3 because I dont want anyone to have the false impression that other Econolodge properties will be the same… This one is a diamond in the ruff. You will enjoy your stay.

The hotel was pretty good. The people at the front desk were very nice. The room had everything needed. There was a pool. There were a few bad parts of the room, like the fan made interesting noises and it was difficult to control the AC. It was a good visit all and all.

Clean and comfortable. Staff is accommodating. While I stayed there the hotel was full, so the Wi-Fi service was not that good. Sufficient breakfast options, especially if you like bread and cereal. Really grateful for the hard-boiled eggs since I'm on a low carb diet.

The location was excellent for our event at umass easy to get to. The bed was comfortable and the rooms quiet. The TV dis not work in my room or my colleagues room and the internet is a little slow but it was a comfortable, cheap place to stay.

Great place. Bright, clean, and fresh. Great breakfast. Front desk staff super nice and accommodating. My daughter forgot her ipod charger in the room, and they located it and sent it to us. Pictures are right on. What you see is what you actually get. (I stayed at a few places on this trip where the Lodges/motels looked NOTHING like in the pictures). I highly recommend this place!

Overpriced considering very old TVs, no sleep timer on TV, no guide function on TV. Continental breakfast minimal. Air conditioner was way too loud. Room was clean.

I recently ended an extended 16 day stay in a handicapped room with my husband who was recuperating from a hospital stay. The hotel was quiet, clean, and the entire staff was very courteous, especially Chris at the front desk who was always asking us how things were going or if we needed anything. The room was spacious, had a refrigerator, roll-in shower, and was near the front desk, ice machine, and pool. Even though this is not a pricey hotel we were surprised and pleased that the pool had a lift for people with disabilities. The extended stay rate was excellent and the breakfast was fine given the fact that many hotels that charge more offer no free breakfast whatsoever. We are very pleased that we chose EconoLodge in Hadley, MA. Until we could return home.

I stayed here with my son right after labor day 2013 to tour the university of mass at amherst. I found our room clean and we did a bed bug check and found our mattresses to be almost new. We got in kind of late the night before but they gave good directions for food. The breakfast was just so so but the area where the food was displayed was constantly being cleaned. My son was accepted to the school and is going to attend so I will be staying here again.
