Nice place, accommodating and gives you that 1970’s feel. Nice pool, clean rooms, game room and outdoor benches. Very family oriented. They even have the attacking room doors.

I loved my stay here. My room was very clean and appears to have been updated. The staff was very nice. I enjoyed the pool, picnic area with charcoal grills and a nice complimentary breakfast. It’s close to so much! For the price it was well worth it. I’d give a 5 star but they could use an upgrade on the cable. Looking forward to next year.

It’s in a great location. The place does need upgrading. Bathroom had no electrical outlets. The room had a musty smell & determined it came from the mattresses & the carpet. Spider webs all over curtains & I cleaned some of them up before I could sleep. The framed pics on wall appear to not have been dusted/cleaned for years. The bathtub had soft spots so they need to replace those soon. The faucet on sink was lose & about to break. They do offer a nice breakfast in the am, so I gave them a 3, instead of a 2.

We stayed here for 3 nights and and overall were well pleased. The only issue we had was the curtains were a little short. You could see both beds looking inside. Nothing a towel couldn't fix. The room was nice and very clean. The cleaning staff was very nice and did a great job. We were very pleased. We were able to bring our almost 16 year old Jack Russell chiwauwa so we didn't have to worry about her at a kennel for fear that something could happen while we're away. All in all it was a nice stay.

Governor Prence Inn is close to restaurants and downtown Orleans. They are pet friendly and the staff is very professional. I would recommend staying there to anyone visiting the area.

Really lovely hosts, and Manager: darling staff, young International college students, very attentive; family friendly ambiance, for young families with children. A very extensive continental breakfast, you can sit outside by the pool, or enjoy a cafe atmosphere in air-conditioned comfort. The rooms are recessed away from the roadway, very quiet, surrounded by trees and Lawn, both in front and back of the Inn. It was clean and comfortable, mattresses of good quality and support (important to us senior citizens). The AC was an effective wall unit, which I prefer to the baseboard units under the window, which tend to be noisy and difficult to adjust. With free Wi-Fi and full TV viewing options we could watch the Sunday morning talking heads (or not), but with so much to do on the Cape, one really doesn't need an entertainment center. I would give them a very good rating, with reasonable rates: Not fancy, but very fine.

Not impressed. Smells were bad and lots of water damage in the room. Cleaning staff didn't do a good job on our toilet before we got there.

Pretty miserable. VERY thin walls and our neighbors radio alarm clock woke us up at midnight. Unfortunately, our neighbors were out until 1:30am. No one at the front desk after 11pm. Told the reception on the way out — "oh, we'll check it out. " Not even an apology. Also, very run down rooms, not enough blankets and don't bother with the "breakfast. "

The room was a good size, not massive, but larger than other places of the same price. Pool was nice, but not perfectly clean. Service was good.

Very friendly and clean rooms. It's our second time here with our dog. Reasonable prices and great location.

A clean place to rest your head for a night or two. Nice staff and continental breakfast offered. Dated and could use some maintenance but clean.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient. Great price, with a decent breakfast available (poor coffee, though. ) and a wonderful pool. Bike path access for a 7 mile ride to Coast Guard Beach.

All of the reviews with one star are completely accurate. I don't know how this place is getting more than 2 stars. Maybe because those people always stay in motels. But if you always stay in a Marriot or other name hotel you will absolutely hate it here. Stayed there 4 days and will never come back. Very old. Looks like it is right out of the 70's. Desperately needs updating both inside and out. Key doesn't work to lock the door so you have to do it manually. Which is worrisome when your door leads to outside rather than a hallway in a hotel. The bolt on the door doesn't work. Couldn't turn off the outside light by our door because it was broken so we had to sleep with the light shining in our face every night. Screws were broken on the closet door. There is no GIANT pool like advertised. There is one but it is small and very old. The walkway to the rest rooms from the pool is very dangerous and held together by a cinder block. Toilet didn't flush well. No water pressure. We were there 4 days and service only came in once and when they did they only made up one bed. Didn't refresh our towels and it didn't seem like they gave us fresh sheets. Smells extremely musty. No fan in shower so you can't cool off or dry off. Air conditioning didn't work well. Carpet was frayed. Paint chipping everywhere. Someone's hair was hanging off the shelf where our towels were. The cleaning staff is made up of college kids that barely speaks English.

Oldfashioned rooms, I like that! Big pool.

Great location and affordable! Ideal for an overnight stay. The breakfast was a bonus, not the best, but it's free!

The Inn is in need of updating. It is stuck in the 70's right down to a actual key to enter. Also there is at least a half foot or more step up to enter the room, (requested a wooden ramp be placed at my door. When you leave you push the button on the door knob to lock your room. L The. TV in my room was a big bulky. One and I had too use two remotes to operate it. No ironing board or iron in room. You had to get it from office. I would never stay there again.

If you want to visit Cape Cod This motel is located about half of the peninsula and allows you to reach the same location both north of Orleans and south. Certainly the most beautiful real things are collacate north of Orleans to Provincetown. Beware that to visit the beaches from about mid June you have to park your car at a cost of $15 per day. In low season (until about mid June) you only pay on weekends. The motel has an outdoor pool (in preparation when we stayed on 12 and 13 June). The rooms are not very spacious even with a view of the pool. The cost is acceptable especially in low season. Decent breakfast.

Drove 2 hours for daughters wedding got there Fri night — a/c didn't work room musty behind bed had enough spider webs and hair and trash it was awful left to go eat came back and there was hair on the mirror and holes in the tube loaded with little nats or flies the worst hotel I have ever been too check out a night early and drove 2 1/2 hrs home after wedding but not before I took pictures for the board of health… called joe who said he was going to take care of issue still havn't heard fro him. So tomorrow the board of health will get calls and pictures. stat away>>>>>>>>>>>>>the dirty old hotel ever>>> people in office could care less either… oh and there is no giant pool…

Stayed there last night and HATED it! The workers there (except for Joe) were not helpful at all and did not address our needs such as a BROKEN AC in August! After suffering in the hot room for most of the day and practically begging for help with the AC — they FINALLY gave us another room at 9:11PM — so we had to gather all of our belongings that we had already put away and cart them about 6 rooms over! The rooms were set up so foolishly where you couldn't even see the TV from the bed — Poor was "Gigantic" as advertised, but filthy! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT RECOMMEND and will Never go back! Oh, the did have a decent Continental breakfast except for the horrid coffee and the broken "toaster" ~ Dirty rooms — rude staff, etc… We'll take our money elsewhere!

The Governor Prence Inn is wonderful — with complimentary breakfast, great price and superb location — truly is a fantastic deal.

I had a great stay at the Inn; Staff extremely helpful/respectful David was the best, felt like I had known him for years:) Slept like a log and I don't sleep. One more thing I had no hand cream with me and I am sure I used 3 bottles of it:) :) :) One more thing… tried to do a trip advisor and I could not complete it?

Comfortable beds, but chairs are not good for a bad back. They need to invest in some updated furniture. Location nice in relation to my favorite town on the Cape, Brewster.

In bad need up updating, and there are peep holes in some of the walls.

The location of gov prence is great! The hotel was nothing spectacular, but did the job. It was pleasant, clean, friendly staff, no complaints. Standard economy hotel, but the location made it worth it and the price was awesome for the area. We brought our bikes, tons to do in biking distance. Drive in movie just down 6. Skaket beach is awesome-you can walk out for miles and its only knee high water.
