I was staying at this hotel for work. Front desk insisted that I wasn’t allowed to go up to my room that my boss already booked, and that I needed to use my personal card for “incidentals”. So I swiped my card and was told, that I must reinsert because it didn’t go through. Checked my Bank acct on my phone, I was already charged. I stupidly enough swiped a second time, to receive another charge. Told me I would get my money back after a few business days. Weeks later, one of the charges remains. When I call the front desk to explain my issue. They say the manager will be in at 3:00 and I will get a call back. I call them at 6:30 and the guy has the nerve to tell me oh I was just about to call you! Sure enough it’s the SAME guy who made all of these issues. Then goes on about how he has to communicate with his team about the problem meanwhile it was his fault in the first place. Then he explains how there’s nothing he can do to assist me and that I have to try to get my money back from my Boss. I asked to speak with a manager and he forwarded the call that said it’ll be 30 minute wait, 50 minutes later still nobody answered. What kind of service is this? I know where I won’t be staying next time from here on out. And sure enough I planned on booking a 1 night stay at a Hampton Inn this weekend, and based on this terrible customer service we will be staying at another different hotel chain.

We just held a convention here and I could not have asked for a better accommodations, food or staff. I love the renovations and everyone was just lovely to us.

I wanted to love this place bc the rooms are nice and it’s close enough to where I needed to be. I get back from an exhausting day to music blasting. I take the elevator to the 4th floor and I can still hear the music blasting! You couldn’t pay me to ever stay here again… I am sitting on my hotel bed listening to the loud music and wishing I had booked the hotel across the street!

Great place to stay, wonderful people and the rooms are enormous.

Overall good experience, rooms were accommodating but a little smaller than expected. Hotel staff respectful and provided us with info for my buddy's wedding. Spacious throughout the lobby and eating areas, and great food to order during breakfast. Parking in the rear isn't party of their property for a heads up.

I was in town for a job interview, and I forgot to print out documents I needed. The business center printer was not working, but the front desk people were beyond accommodating! Julian, Lucy, and Demetroula all worked with me to get my documents printed. Along with that, I asked them many questions about the area (likes, dislikes, good places to live, bad places to live, etc. ), and they were happy to talk to me about it. They were excellent employees, and the entire staff that I interacted with was very professional and friendly. Along with the staff, the hotel was very clean and orderly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Waltham.

Still waiting for a refund. Booked a king size HANDICAPPED accessible room. We arrived and they did not have a room available. Said we would be refunded and given a complementary room. Still waiting on both to be fulfilled. I'm also a hilton member and still nothing … shame on you for advertising accessible rooms then not having it available or doing anything to accommodate us … 3 rooms later and 1 am we found a place. All after my medical procedure…

I've stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels. This was my least favorite. Weird things with design, like the front door didn't have automatic doors but the inner ones are. I imagine a lot of people walking out of the hotel walk right into the butter doors. Served some drinks that were not made properly. Rooms with two queens were so cramped because the furniture was too big. Staff was ok but definitely not friendly. Wouldn't come back to this hotel.

Good location, resonable rates. This is a slightly older HGI so the carpet and rooms are dated. Overall a fairly nice property for business travel but not somewhere I would stay while on a leisure trip.

Service was good and rooms were comfortable. The location was convenient off the highway, and downtown Waltham was nearby for good restaurants. I wish there had been a free continental breakfast included, but instead you had to pay $15 for a buffet breakfast. Otherwise, the lobby was nice for lounging around and there was ample seating. The parking lot seemed a bit small though.

The staff is very pleasant. They allowed us to check in extremely early. The room was perfect. My concern is with the pool. My husband and I were looking forward to using it however, after seeing the not so blue water more like green water we quickly changed our minds.

Very nice hotel The front desk general manager let me borrow his neck tie, because I didn't have mine. I didn't even ask a second time and he took the tie off of his neck and let me borrow it. I went to my meeting and I was successful in winning the deal. Thank you for your help is not enough.

I have had great experiences with events at this venue. We held our holiday party here in 2016 and a training event in 2017. Barbara Sesskin makes planning so simple and is always willing to work within our budget.

I'm so disappointed. The room was decent, however, I was dependent on the shuttle service to get to work and my second day, the shuttle was off limits to all hotel guest because one company reserved the service strictly for their group. I guess not all guest matter. Had to pay a cab for what was in Monday, a hotel amenity.

Staff is amazing. Front desk clerk was so helpful. Breakfast people are so generous. Food was hot and on point.

Excellent hotel for business trip. The room are decent sized with all amenities. They also provide microwave and coffee machine. Hot breakfast is available and they have all day restaurant also.

Really nice hotel experience, just wish it was in a little more walkable area. There is a restaurant in the same parking lot area and a few other hotels around, but it isn't in a super area for shops or walking. The room was comfortable and reasonably clean, there were enough plugs and the TV worked. Had a fridge/microwave which I expect and appreciate. Staff were very friendly the little I interacted with them and I liked the hot water/coffee in the lobby in the AM (I wish this was an all day thing as I don't use in room ones and would have loved hot water when I checked in). Nice and responsive shuttle driver for local needs. It was a very quick stay for me, but if I can get a decent rate I would certainly be back when in the Waltham area.

Good place to stay for a couple nights. Place was pretty clean besides the mold on the shower curtain and the shower head was pretty dirty. But all around good stay.

My Family and I have a long history with many different Hilton locations throughout the United States and the customer service at this certain location this past weekend was incredible, I mean incredibly professional, friendly and caring of all our needs. The front worker/Desk named Kayla was the incredible part of the stay, from the moment we arrived until we left. She took care of check in, eating arrangements, touring/sightseeing suggests to even running up to our room to help with our frozen shower knob! Kayla was the face and voice of Hilton that weekend and hopefully she's recognized for it because our family will definitely return and recommend to many others due to our experiences! I'm a tour bus driver and I brought a group up to Boston for the weekend. They stayed at a hotel in the city and they got me a room without realizing that I could not park a bus in the city, so I had to find my own accommodations. I looked for hotels just outside Boston and close to the Mass Pike and found the Hilton. They were quick to accommodate me with a room and a place for me to park the bus. It snowed that night and I couldn't go anywhere because I only had the bus. Kayla and the rest of the staff was extremely friendly and it seemed everyone knew about my situation and made an extra effort for me. I also liked the breakfast for a buck option. The only down side was there is not much within walking distance regardless of the weather, so more menu choices in the cafe would have been nice.

Customer service in front desk were very friendly and helpful. We had 2 queen beds, comfortable beds and pillows, clean room. Breakfast was great and also we can order fresh cooked items, we had omelette with Bacon, broccoli, peppers, onion, sausage, Yummy! We had group meeting here for 3 days, only wished that we have better choices of lunch. Convenient location, Parking is free!

The rooms are very clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a tad pricey but convenient-location was perfect for what we needed. Would certainly come back.

The hotel has a family-friendly atmosphere. The room was comfortable and there is a 0 noise level. Extremely quiet. I would stay there again and would recommend the facility to others.

The hotel was very well maintained and the rooms were nice. Breakfast was somewhat underwhelming, though there was a cook making omelettes. Overall a nice place to stay in a convenient location, but a tad pricy.

For a national hotel line, there’s an expected level of service. This hotel meets nearly all of those. Customer service at the reception area is warm and yet professional, any needs are addressed quickly and they are utilizing the various technology enhancements Hilton is rolling out across their family of hotels, so they had my information already pulled and waiting for me when I checked in. However, the breakfast wait staff is matter-of-fact and lacks any charm. For those interactions with guests prior to them having coffee, a little grace and patience would go a long way. Location is good, interior seems is not brand new but in good shape and doesn’t appear to be aged at all.

Hotel staff very friendly. Rooms are comfortable with nice beds and pillow choices. Room was clean modern and looked great. Ate in small restaurant and the food was excellent.

Pretty decent service, nothing exceptional. Good access to nearby highways with about 15 minutes drive to Somerville or the Alewife T stop, and plenty of food nearby, though as usual for greater Boston things tend to close around 10. Room service kitchen closes at 11, and with the package we got the breakfast was not complementary.

Has the digital key system which is great when flights into Boston get delayed 5 hours so you don't get in until 2 am. AC was quiet, bed was comfortable, had a fridge and hope Wi-Fi. No complaints.

Staff was amazingly friendly. Room was very clean, Keurig was stocked with 2 regular coffee pods, one decaf, and one tea. There was also creamer and sweeteners.
Location was good. There was Ruth Chris steakhouse in the next building over. I ate at the Naked Fish across the Street. This is my first time eating at this restaurant and let me assure you, if you enjoy fish, this is the place to eat. Martini I had was excellent, the tuna tartare was absolutely amazing. And my salmon was cooked to perfection.
Wish I had had an opportunity to eat in the restaurant at the hotel, it looks like it was pretty bustling that night with people having a really good time.
Check in was just like you do with the airlines. I got an email the day prior to my check in, and I was actually able to check in online. I was even able to go through the all of the available rooms in the hotel, and pick my room online. I selected a room that. Didn't have anybody else around it. They even have mobile keys, which I couldn't quite figure out how to access prior to my visit. But the staff at the hotel when I arrived said they do offer mobile keys. The whole process was very easy. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Horrible bathroom, the tub is old, peeling, unclean. So is the floor of the bathroom. Small, dingy carpet. No coffee in the foyer, as one would expect in a HGI. The staff is well behaved but clueless, promised me they would fix a peeling bathtub while we were eating dinner. No real apologies for providing us this horrible stay in a Hilton. We visit Boston area several times a month. It's clear to me that this establishment is not for providing a clean, comfortable night's sleep for the Honors members. The front-desk staff told us that many of their bathrooms are like the ones that we had. A shame that this is a Hilton!

An easy check in process, friendly staff and comfortable bed. The hot breakfast was good. The hotel looks a bit older but if I came back to the area I would stay here again. Easy access off highway.

These accommodations were excellent! The hotel was reasonably priced and in a great location just minutes from the T. Our room was in perfect condition and our needs (which were very few) were met by all staff. Thanks to this fabulous stay, we are now Hilton Honors members.

Really nice place … but the restaurant really too cold for breakfast!

Location is excellent, 10 minutes from the Carter street T stop makes getting into and out of Boston a total breeze. Unfortunately that's about where the good ends. The walls are paper thin the first night a manager had to be sent up to the adjacent room full of preteens to get them to turn their music off at 11 at night. While I understand that this could happen anywhere the fact that I could hear the discussion that led to the decision to turn the music on was the bigger problem. I will day however the front desk was quite responsive and handles the situation quickly. The hotel bar is struggling they have no beer on tap and the bar tender is also the person running room service. It's clear the hotel restaurant and bar were an after thought. Within 5 minutes walking though you have 3 great options for food. Naked fish for sea food, Ruth Chris steakhouse for an upscale (read:$$$$$) dinner, or located in the best western the copper house tavern which does brunch, lunch, and dinner all very well.

A+! We had a meeting planned in advance, and our attendance estimate kept rising as the date of our meeting got closer. In addition we needed to move the time of our breakfast up by half an hour in order to accommodate the two VIPs (two Members of Congress) who were keynoting the agenda. The Hotel staff handled both changes with friendly courtesy, and 100% efficiency. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn in Waltham! See you next year!

Great rooms. Great service. Very accomodating and comfortable.

Normal Garden Inn. Was great for me and my friend coming in from Boston each night at midnight. The only problem was the cleaning services knocked and tried to open the door at 9:30AM! Why? Good thing we had the door latch locked because the main deadbolt was broken. I am sure Waltham is a fun little city, but we took the train into Boston each day — a great deal if you plan on riding the subway everywhere.

Nothing special, however clean and with everything you need.

The interior was very well kept and up to date. The staff was very polite and attentive. I was here for a work meeting so I am unaware of the rooms but the meeting room was very nice. They offered coffee and a variety of teas for us. There was plenty of parking and the grounds were kept well. I would reccomened the hotel for upcoming work functions.

Decent hotel. Would stay again for the right price. Good gym on location. And pool.

I room was already paid for online and when I got there they didnt take my card type and wouldn't help in anyway I asked to talk to a manager or anyone that could help me ans she wouldnt do that! I will never stay here!

Very comfortable. The staff is wonderful… especially Kevin and Daniel… I had surgery recently the wheelchair help was quite helpful… the room could use some updating but we enjoyed our stay.

Facility is nice and well taken care of. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Only complaint is the walls felt paper thin. It sounded as though my neighbors were in my room every time they spoke, flushed the toilet or turned on the TV.

Location is fine, right off I95 in Waltham. The restaurant is decent, with a middling bar and standard breakfast in the morning (except no waffles… I really wanted a waffle). The room itself isn't great… It smells bad, the pillows aren't comfortable, it feels… Grungy. But, there's a mini fridge, microwave and pretty good flat screen TV so that's a plus.

Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn in Waltham, MA for work. I travel to Waltham relatively frequently and have stayed at several hotels in the area. HGI is fairly middle-of-the-road. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, which I was able to connect to with no issues, a 24-hour fitness room, and a restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast is not included, unlike some of the other hotels, so that was disappointing but not a big deal. I'm not as satisfied with my room: one of the lights doesn't turn on and my shower doesn't drain. Granted, I have not yet asked the hotel to fix these issues so they haven't had the opportunity to fix them, but I think that things like this should be checked by the hotel before letting a guest check in to a room.

Connecting to Wi-Fi was a pain, very comfy beds, clean, good breakfast. Couldn't ask for more.

I have been at numerous professional conferences in the meeting space area of this Hilton Garden Inn. The conference area has ample parking, great service and good catering. Easy to get to from 128 so it is a great location for business travelers.

Friendly staff, comfortable & clean room. However, their lobby restaurant food could use a quality boost.

Very nice accommodations. Stayed here recently for a wedding. Kid friendly and there is a huge playground just behind the hotel.

Friend in another room had bed bugs. I saw cockroaches running across baseboard in lobby, and the noise level of the other guests was absolutely ridiculous. You can hear nearly every toilet flush and every door slam from rooms above and around you. When the room next door flushed their toilette, it caused a huge air bubble to come up in our toilette causing water to splash up as you sit. Do not come here if you want to get any kind of rest.

Pleasant staff, internet works but is not very fast (1 Mb/s). Free parking. Breakfast is not free but it is good. Bar and dinner. Nice beds. Close to the Waltham stuff. Naked Fish across the street. Lots of price elasticity, look at travel sites.

Absolutely awful reservation experience. My company booked a 3 night stay with them, and they wouldn't let me modify my reservation to remove a night because it was booked. Absolutely absurd and no way to run a business. I canceled and made a reservation at another hotel and they didn't seem to even care to lose business. Thanks Hilton Garden for such a great experience. Our travel agents are now looking at other hotel options as we've had some other bad experiences with this hotel.

The location is great. The room is a little compact but for the price a wonderful deal. The microwave, fridge, coffee maker were all functional. Internet was through att. Bathroom Immaculate excellent showhead that delivers variable waterflow. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is one of the more comfortable in the local area. The public areas of the hotel and clean and comfortable. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast and food choices are very good. Getting a taxi organised for my departure was no problem. I will stay here again.

3/4 Stars: Great until check-out. Initially, I gave this hotel 4 Stars but I have to rewrite my review due to the incredibly rude and immature front desk clerk the morning we left. I stopped to ask what my reward points balance was and before I could finish speaking, the male clerk blurted out, "You booked through a discount travel site. You don't get points for that! " He was loud and obnoxious and, in the mirror across the lobby, I watched as he aped and pantomimed some rude gestures at my back. We will not stay here again, regardless of convenience or amenities. As a well-traveled, well-mannered individual, this treatment was unacceptable and not worth the convenience. Hilton, you should be ashamed of such (lack of) service, and the clerk — who shall remain nameless — should be redirected to the unemployment line.
