When I arrived at the hotel, there were two Extended Stay buildings (one in the front and one in the back). I assumed the check in was at the front building. However, after dragging all of my luggage through the doors that did not open automatically and waiting in line for 15 minutes, I was told that I had to go the back building for check in. So, I had to drag all of my luggage back through the doors, put everything back into my car, and drive to the building in the back. After driving for over 4 hours to get to this hotel, this was not a good first impression and was extremely frustrating. The room I was assigned at the Extended Stay in Waltham/Boston was extremely dirty: — Kitchen and bathroom counters and floors were filthy. When I wiped them with a cloth, it turned the cloth brown. — The white cupboards in the kitchen area had brownish/orange drip marks and grease. — The microwave smelled terrible of food from the previous person, had condensation inside, and grease on the glass tray. — The bedding appeared old and warn. When I lifted the sheet to inspect the mattress, I found huge brown stains all over it. — The headboard had splatter marks all over it. Not sure what it was, but it was disgusting. — The television remote control was sticky and covered with dust. When I wiped it with a cloth, the cloth turned black. — The carpeting along the edges of the room was becoming detached from the floor. You could see nails sticking up. — The carpeting had brown stains and lots of dust and crumbs along the edge. And on top of all this (yes, there's more), there were no plates, utensils, or coffee maker in the room. You have to go down to the front desk and ask for everything. Super inconvenient. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't at least have a Keurig/mini coffee maker already in the room. I had to stay here during a week long training that was in the area. It was the most dirty and uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed at. I will never stay at an Extended Stay America again. I will definitely be sharing this information with all of my friends and family.
