Oakwood at Third Square Apartments Apartment

We lived here for one year, from 2017-2018. We had a generally pleasant experience during our time there (w/some issues around noise and people smoking in neighboring apartments). However, the real problems occurred after we moved out. We moved out a month early and had prepaid for the entire month. We signed a contract that once the new tenant moved in, we would be refunded for that month (standard MA law, landlords can't double-charge tenants). The amount of our refund was credited to our Equity Residential account, so we assumed all was well. It has now been more than 60 days and we still have not received the refund check at our new address. We have contacted the team here (Michelle and Brittany), who have responded with a range of excuses (they sent the check to the wrong address, they have to wait 30 days before they can cancel it, etc. ). The fact remains that we are out almost an entire months rent and currently are not optimistic about getting it back in a timely fashion without suing in small claims court. I would strongly encourage you to stay away from this apartment building unless you too wish to get involved in a protracted struggle to get your money back when you move out. It has also been deeply disappointing seeing the lack of professionalism and sincerity in dealing with staff since we moved out of the apartment building.

Moved in this past summer. Apartment was in great condition and we were provided with a familiarization tour by the staff. We reported a problem with our kitchen faucet which was slightly leaking and it got replaced the very next day! Excellent service. I particularly like the courtyard. A safe and pleasant environment. You can always find families hanging out and kids running around. BBQ racks are well maintained. Front desk staff have been awesome too. Very friendly and helpful and at the same time keeping an eye on who enters and leaves the building.

Stayed at Third Square apartments for a year from June 2017 to June 2018. It was an awesome experience. Very responsive and friendly staff from the leasing office, especially Stephen. He really goes out of the way to answer my queries and assist in my requests. Concierge and maintenance staff also very friendly and helpful. Will never forget Kyle and his amazing smile. Common facilities as well as facilities within the apartment are very new and well maintained. Gym is very well-equipped. Love the courtyard where the kids can play and run around. The management also organized many events to allow the occupants to mingle and enjoy. Nothing but full of praises for the hardworking staff and management team. Have been recommending to my friends who plan to stay at Cambridge to seriously consider Third Square.

All of the staff at Third Square have constantly shown welcoming care, professionalism and have genuinely put forth their best effort to make living at Third Square a wonderful experience. The leasing office staff, maintenance crew, and concierge team are all quickly available to help whenever needed. Love the convenient location in a “quiet” city neighborhood. Great green space for kids to run and play, all of the amenities (parking, pool, bike storage, gym, grills, w/d) make for excellent apartment living. Also have only had great experience with the other residents. Wonderful and respectful people. Also pet-friendly while maintaining very clean, safe and quiet environment. 5 Star.

I've been a tenant in Third Square for about six months now and love it! The apartment is gorgeous and with new amenities. There is an awesome gym, lounge and movie theater. And most of all, the staff go above and beyond to be helpful. For example, when I was moving in, the concierge noticed my roommate and I were struggling to carry our couch and helped us bring it it all the way to our apartment. The staff pays a lot of attention to the small things, and it adds up to a great experience. I highly recommend this apartment!
