I rarely write reviews but I'm compelled to do so in this case because for the life of me, I do not understand where all the positive reviews for this place are coming from. Yes, the location is great, but that's all that's great. First of all, the pictures on the website in no way, shape or form represent the current condition of this property. My wife and I stayed in room 5, which had an overwhelming odor to it, not necessarily bad, but way too powerful. It was dingy and barely updated for a real hotel or bed and breakfast experience. There was a bathroom in the room, but you had to step up about a foot up to get into it, which meant you had to bend way down to grab the door handle to close the door. That was both amusing, and sad. At check in, I was put in a parking space in an alley behind the building, and then was asked to leave my car keys in a lock box. That was an outrageous request which I certainly did not abide by. The desk person left at 3 pm and I was informed the desk would not be manned until 8 am the following morning. Also very weird. I was given a phone number to call if anything came up, but the strong feeling was we were on our own, which was unsettling considering security was at a bare minimum. The lock to the room was a joke, and the one secure door out to the street was so shaky that it seemed like an open invitation to crime. The experience was so creepy that my wife and I woke up before 5 am the next morning just to get the heck out of there. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

Nightly rates from $179
