Lovely hotel in a very good location, close to large mall, huge supermarket, good restaurants and bars also in local area. Seasonal duck tours situated straight across the road from the hotel. Very good eatery s situated in the Mall, like cheesecake factory.

Reservation team is so impolite. We booked the room through booking. Com. Not only he refused to give me any information about the reservation, the front deck guy hanged up the phone to us after telling us that he will not give us any information. Not acceptable at all. Live here in Boston and will not stay there anymore.

Absolutely avoid on Thursday it is extremely loud because Marriot hires sub par workers who are not properly trained or compensated shame on Marriot and their sub par contractor CRS.

Nice hotel, clean and fantastic staff — but not a great location for exploring Boston, too far from old town/sea front — more buisness style — although the yard house is pretty good! Shame about the protests outside too!

Receptionist it’s rude, making faces on me. I have to request time to enjoy the pool, when they never told me when I’d the reservation. I told to see the manager and told I have to wait 30 minutes why I do not come back to my room. Poor customer services.

I live about 90 minutes from there and decided to go to Boston and support some businesses during Valentine’s Day. I booked 2 nights. I had several problems, which some of them were understandable but some not. Started when we arrived, valet parking was full! No problem, I will park my own car. We went to the room and bathroom was dirty, pee all over the toilet seat. If you want a clean room you may want to look somewhere else. We tried to call front desk several times with no answer. I went to the front desk and the employee blamed Covid for the room being dirty and that a lot of people got fired and he himself just got hired back. (Hellooo… because covid specifically I wanted my room clean! ) I understood and just asked for them to clean the bathroom again. They also credited me some money back. I Went back to the room and then got a call from housekeeping asking us to leave the room so they can clean. No problem, we orded food and have to go pick it up anyway. 30 minutes later I asked the front desk if the room was ready. They told me yes, the housekeeping finished. As I walked in my room the housekeeping was still there! Next morning we went to go grab breakfast and on the way back we got chased down the hallway by housekeeping, she followed us by a few rooms all the way back to our room. I do understand that maybe she was hustling for extra tips but it was too early and we didn’t want to be bothered!

Only a few minutes away walking from pharmacy, restaurants and other wonderful shopping areas. Centrally located in the downtown area close to all other touring places. Indoor and heated pool, spacious elevators and friendly staff.

Highly disappointed… when I entered my room in Marriott I broke down crying. They have the tiniest rooms you can imagine and they are very old fashioned and worn out like from some cheaper hotel in Vegas. I can’t believe we spent quite a lot of money to “treat” myself and my partner with this sad experience… : ( Plus — forcing people to sign up for membership in order to use Wi-Fi is absolutely outrageous…

I stayed for 4 nights in April when I came in to town for the Boston Marathon. Absolutely wonderful, comfortable, clean rooms and friendly staff. The pool and gym area are well kept and easily accessible. I love that the hotel is walking distance to shopping and food. I would absolutely stay there again!

What an amazing experience! We stayed this week at the Boston Marriott Copley Square as we were getting our daughter settled in her apartment here in Boston. After a busy day measuring and shopping for furniture, the three. Of us went downstairs to Champions here at the hotel to eat. We had a great dinner and an incredible welcome from our waiter, Frankie, a transplant from Venezuela 22 years ago and a wonderful ambassador for Boston. He made all of us feel so welcome to Boston and reminded us of how proud we are of our daughter and what a great new ‘home’ this will be for her. About an hour or so later, we get a knock on the door with a gift — a bag with a bottle of La Crema that my wife and daughter shared, two cans of Sam ‘76 that I was drinking, and four chocolate chip cookies. All from Frankie and the hotel with the following hand written note: “Costello Family, Thank you for sharing your new chapter in your lives! Boston is a great city and please accept this as a welcome to our hotel and to our precious city! Best wishes, Frankie! ” What a class act!

The hotel is really well situated. It has a direct skywalk to Copley Square so you don’t need to go outside if weather is bad. The upper floors have great view over city depending on the direction you’re facing.
Rooms are spacious but pretty standard Marriott fair really. Bed comfy. AC was a bit loud and annoying but room stayed cool enough with it off so I could sleep.
Bathroom was clean and tidy.
Didn’t really eat at hotel other than breakfast in the lounge on 28th floor. Lounge is kinda small and got crowded at breakfast but rather smartly they have a Grab-n-Go station set up at the elevator lobby outside the lounge where you can get breakfast to go and coffee and tea. This is a really nice touch and I’d love to see this at other Marriotts.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time this past weekend. The view from our room was beautiful, overlooking the Charles River and Prudential building. We also received an upgrade due to all of my husband's travels with work and for his military service. The food, drinks, and room service was great. The room was incredibly clean. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be staying here again in the future.

We are loyal Marriott clients. This hotel has an excellent location, concierge level was very good. The rooms and hallways need to be completely overhauled. We had a King bed and the sheets did not fit correctly. They kept coming off the bed and it didn’t or make for an easy nights sleep. Also, our son slept on the pull out chair and the mattress was abysmal. The air conditioner unit was extremely loud. We told the front desk about this and they didn’t really seem bothered by it. We used 40, 000 points which to me should be a 5 star quality. This was more 3 star except the location and should have been 20, 000-25, 000 points at best. Very disappointed.

I haven't had the opportunity to experience the full amenities that are available as yet but what I've seen so far is great. I look forward to upgrading my review to five stars in a day or two. I had to upgrade my review to five stars. The amenities, the restaurant and the staff were all first class and extremely enjoyable.

Very good location. It is not convenient to travel by train to the child and I do not have a safety seat, but the walking range is enough for a child of 2 years of age to reach the opposite center through the bridge.

Came here for one night plenty of parking, clean, modern, big bar within the hotel, it is also attached to a mall. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that they will charge you for internet and other little things. My opinion is that a hotel should make people feel comfortable outside their home and this place does feel like they are trying to suck money out of you which can make u feel out of place especially touring an are you aren't familiar with.

This is a very nice hotel when one is in Boston. There is a huge lobby for checking in. A great location to quickly get wherever you want, and you have access to dozens of restaurants and stores with only a five minute walk. If you can afford to spend the money then this is the place to stay.

Friendly staff, perfectly located to many shops, Red Sox Stadium, Celtics garden, and other types of activities. Nice concierge lounge with great views. This hotel is great, I enjoyed it a lot and I plan to stay here again in the future. Also, the views from my room were fantastic (at least on the 31st floor, where I was at).

Great place to stay, liked having the catwalk to the Prudential Center. Kids enjoyed the pool and escalators. Would like to see the signs in the pool area for no jumping and diving lower so everyone can read. Three boys of an age where they should know better than to jump in a pool with other children, making waves and the water spilling over the edge and splashing the people sitting on the side. They should have had parent supervision, but that parent was there but paying very close attention to her phone. Cell phones should not be allowed in the hot tub or around the pool as you don't know what kind of pictures are being taken and shared. Of course it was the three boys yet again. The pool manager was there and kept the place tidy. Beds were great to sleep in and a fantastic view of the city! On checkout day we were able to have the car brought down, load the car, and back it went to parking and we were able to go out for the day.

The rooms were large enough to accommodate our group without any feelings of being squished. Staff was helpful, kind, and well informed. No free Wi-Fi, but it wasn't needed in our case. Very impressed overall!

We recently had a work event there and the staff was wonderful. The Banquet manager was super helpful as well as the entire service team. If you are looking for a good place for a work meeting they are a great option. Parking is a little high but super convenient. Appetizers were excellent.

The hotel is excellent overall. Clean rooms, elegant, friendly staff. Very well located in a main mall in Boston. With skywalk to several conveniences. Restaurants are good. Have stayed there several times. However, the new elevator system is a bit disappointing. You enter the floor that you want to go to and it directs you to the correct elevator which automatically goes where it needs to go. Unfortunately, the implementation is lacking. It takes far too long to arrive and sometimes more than one elevator goes to the same place or departs at the same time from one floor. Please improve the algorithm. It is a basic constraint satisfaction problem.

Great clean environment. Starbucks and nice big restaurant in the lobby. Connected to 2 malls.

Overall nice hotel. The location is amazing between two hotels and across the street from a grocery store. The reservation desk should explain the elevators to people. There were several times when people tried to enter without pressing a button.

Large hotel in a good location in the city. We were given a large room, which seemed to be set up for business purposes including large conference table. Downside being that the bed appeared to fold out of the wall and wasn't as comfortable as we expected. Helpful staff provided additional toiletries and assistance when our bags were lost at the airport. Large bar/restaurant area on the lower levels and great views if you get a room up high!

I stayed at the hotel for a two-day conference. The rooms were very nice. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The pool was a bit deep for my 4 year old to use, but it was a nice pool. All in all, we enjoyed the stay.

Spent four days and three nights in the Boston Marriott Copley Place and it was a wonderful place to be. I was there for a professional event as well and found the site to be well taking care of and very organized. The staff were helpful and also were able to fulfill my request of providing A Room With a View. I look forward to my return to Boston and hope to spend time in the Marriott Copley Place again.

The staff housekeepers were extremely rude and ambivalent about my feelings. As a customer, I expect very positive attitudes, helpful attendants, and common courtesy. Their bathroom attendants don't put paper towels or toilet paper where needed, and if they grumble at the customers then they should be fired. They try to rush you out of there, and fifty people flood the restrooms suddenly. Too much people traffic is a liability if they don't control it enough. The staff won't talk politely; they just won't be nice ever. Don't waste your money once. I was visiting from suburbs and felt this hotel is not worth the price $279 per night. Howard Johnson would have been more fun.

Held my white coat ceremony here in the ballroom. Space was large and the perfect setting. This is a top notch space.

This was a great place to stay. I loved just about everything about it except the rooms seemed a bit dated for a Hotel of this status. You at least expect to see USB charging ports in the room.

Room was comfortable and had a nice view towards the river. Location is close to a T stop. Not too far from airport. Staff could have been friendlier.

Large hotel, but still manages to have a friendly atmosphere. Rooms are large, clean and modern. Some look it over the river. Well equipped gym with an indoor pool. Champions bar had the largest TV screen I've ever seen, as large as a small cinema. Great concierge, very knowledgeable. Hotel is located right in the centre of town, attached to a shipping mall. 24 hour supermarket across the road for those later night munchies.

Not much of anything is complimentary. It's a beautiful hotel and the workers are awesome, but there's a fee associated with EVERYTHING even though you're paying an awful lot for the room. No free food, no free computer usage, no free internet, etc etc.

Location: Located close to many great food options and to the mall right across the street. It is also accessible by the sky bridge one floor above the Lobby area. Rooms: I loved the rooms and it was very comfortable overall. Very clean too. Facilities: The gym and swimming pool facilities are also amazing. The gym is clean and contains a large variety of gym equipment. Service: The front and information desks are very helpful and welcoming. They recommended us to a few very good restaurants and bars around the hotel. OVERALL: Would stay again and definitely enjoyed exploring the local eateries and tourists spots around the hotel!

Checked into the Marriott Copley Place on Sunday and currently still here for the week. So far service has been okay here. Cleaning lady didn't understand the no service needed door hang and insisted I needed the privacy tag as well. Beverage vending machines requires dollar bills which was inconvenient. Also, the elevators aren't the best and I found myself waiting several minutes to catch an elevator to go from the 27th to 33rd floor. Otherwise, the experience has been like any other hotel. Nothing special at this point.

Beautiful, busy hotel. Convenient to everything. Trolley picks up right outside. High end mall attached right to the hotel. Short walk to other stores. Very friendly and helpful. We loved our room the view was to die for. The price was reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

I went to an event with my school.

It's tough for me to give a fair review that factors in costs vs. Amenities since my stay here was paid for. The good: Views here are incredible. Bar has a very wide selection of draft beers and the bartenders are very good at their job. Attentive, friendly, and can tell you all about any of the beers without hesitation. Cleaning staff does a very good job cleaning the rooms. The bad: No microwave in the rooms, and no easily accessible "community" microwave. Inconvenient when you come from out of town and you have leftovers from dining out. This one's very minor, but no eating utensils in the room for consuming said leftovers.

We booked at this hotel due to PAX East being in Boston. The rooms were very nice, both comfortable and clean. The concierge room was nice to relax in and provided great food/snacks. The staff were nice and approachable. Overall great visit!

The Copley Marriott was a truly excellent experience from start to finish. The fourier is good size with plenty of seating and a lovely jar of lemon water for sipping! The bay of elevators sits just past the lobby and while there were enough to get a couple groups up at a time, there were a number of times we had to wait for a few minutes. Nothing huge, but made it more annoying if someone left something in the room. The rooms are good size, the mattresses are excellent as always, the TVs are recently upgraded and the bathrooms were very nice. What we've come to expect from a Marriott and the fact that it's near Back Bay was fantastic. Quick access to tons of restaurants, clubs and other pleasantries made for a great stay and one we hope to repeat in the near future.

Was there for a graduation, avg the staff did a great job setting things up and making it easy for guests to find what we needed to find. Obviously the University Staff and volunteers did most of the work with what to have got the graduation, but the hotel staff was very accommodating to us. Also the food for the reception was really great! :)

I'm here for a convention and we're about a 15 minute drive away from the Convention Center. The location is pretty convenient. It's within walking distance of a lot of food places and not far from Beacon Hill. Only complaint is that our wasn't ready when we arrived, but the staff was friendly and accommodating and made the experience alot better than it could have been. Our room is nice; your average hotel room. Water pressure is pretty good. No fridge or microwave though, but they have a microwave for use on the second floor.

Location is great — rooms are a hit or miss. As a frequent visitor, there are rooms that are much more out dated than others. The service is good, but not great. I travel often for work, and there are hotels with much better service, but this hotel is not bad. The concierge lounge is okay — typical breakfast foods but no meat besides bacon occasionally. Will continue to stay here because it meets my expectations for the most part.

I have spent the past 3 weeks at the Boston Marriott Copley Place and have loved it. I've always had a great encounters with the staff. I have had to change my reservations a couple separate times and have never had a problem with it (thanks Katie! ). The location couldn't be better, connected to the Copley Place Shopping Center, Prudential Center, and right across from the Star Market. Overall, a great experience with clean and comfortable rooms.

I don't understand other reviewers saying that this hotel is so great, maybe they just aren't paying attention. I've stayed at many hotels and this one is easily the worst at this price point, although I will agree with other reviewers that the staff were all friendly. Some of my issues: there was so much condensation on the windows that it dripped down the window, pooled on the sill, and made the room smell; the mattress was so old and/or cheap that the coils poked through; the bathroom door didn't close; the $16/day 'high speed' internet explicitly advertised to enable video streaming couldn't stream even ultra-low-res video (refunded) ;… and I could go on further. Any one of these issues in isolation is not a big deal at all, but taken together is a reflection of neglect and complacence. There are a number of other hotels within one block of this one, I urge you to consider other options.

Friendly and very helpful staff, clean and attractively decorated rooms. The beds are quite soft, which could be a negative for some, but I find it quite comfortable. The elevator system is a little odd and takes some getting used to. I would definitely stay here again.

This review is only because of my experience today. Up until today I would have given them a 5 star. I was treated like a criminal today and I have absolutely no idea why. ZERO idea. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by a business in my life. I am Platinum member. I travel weekly and have been staying at this hotel since November. I am so upset because I have no idea why I was targeted, when all I was doing was getting on the elevator so that I could leave and go to work. Below is the complaint that I have written to the hotel. It just happened this morning so I have not gotten a response yet. But I hope this man gets fired. I never would wish for someone to lose their job but he does not deserve to work with the public. I would like to formally complain about my treatment this morning by one of your staff members. I am assuming he was security but he was in a suit and not a security uniform. As I am getting on the elevator on the 28th floor, this gentlemen, black guy, maybe African or Haitian, not quite sure of his decent. But as I am getting on he was getting off and he turns around and gets back on with me. The entire time he is watching me which makes me uncomfortable but he didn't say anything so we exit on the first floor and as I am walking out of the door, he questions if I stay at this hotel. Clearly he just saw me get on the elevator on a floor that requires key access.

I stay here every week. The employees are always helpful and polite. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Great location near lots of choices for food.

Excellent location, 5mins from Copley Square and Newbury St. Hotel is directly attached to 2 smart shopping malls. It's a large and busy hotel with lots of facilities. Good value considering the location. Well connected for public transport.

Staff was overall very nice and friendly. Had a few issues with an one employee but they we're quickly resolved and not an issue any longer. There isn't a bad view from this hotel so always go for higher floors. But if staying during the week there are many business travelers and the elevators take forever. 7am — 9am and 4pm — 7pm are the worst times and you can expect a 10 — 15 min wait sometimes. I just got comfortable walking the stairs down. Hotel has mall attached and one across street via sky walk. Very convenient.

Great hotel for everybody with excellent staff. Champions bar is a must go to with all the sports on the many TV's.

For the price this Marriott is a very average room. Bathroom is quite small with less than adequate plumbing. No water pressure in shower or toilet. Room was not cleaned until 2 pm the second day. Wi-Fi not easy to use. Great location with walking distance to Fenway, shopping and train station.

Best hotel in Boston! Kind attentive staff. Central, convenient, and clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for 5 nights for a conference. Pleasant experience!. Self contained place for stay conference and also a Catholic church nearby! Will be sad to leave but family is waiting.

Slow elivators and they pupously dont have a way to get clean drinking water without paying. Waited 15 minutes for a elivator and a minimum of 5.

The elevators are slow and annoying. During a conference it took 45 minutes to get to the 15th floor. The elevators took so long that people over filled them since it would take so long anyhow. The elevator locked up and had to call the fire department. The rooms are expensive for what you get. Its nice ish but drafty and the fridges are just so small. The champions restauraunt is okay for price, but service is terrible. She forgot food, was rude when we asked for split checks ans just dropped the 12 black books and told us we knew what we had. It was terrivle. The food looks good the burger was pink inside like I asked but charred outside which makes it almost unedible.

Hotel is very nice and updated. Staff was overall very nice and friendly. Had a few issues with an one employee but they we're quickly resolved and not an issue any longer. There isn't a bad view from this hotel so always go for higher floors. But if staying during the week there are many business travelers and the elevators take forever. 7am — 9am and 4pm — 7pm are the worst times and you can expect a 10 — 15 min wait sometimes. I just got comfortable walking the stairs down. Hotel has mall attached and one across street via sky walk. Very convenient.

Nice location for shopping at the prudential center, room was good and service was nice. Only thing I feel not happy with is the Wi-Fi fee, let's say there was a 100 dollar family inn in a small town and they provide super-fast free Wi-Fi.

Stayed here while attending a conference. It's a nice hotel within walking distance of a lot of nice restaurants, some of which you can access without going outside (great when it's 11 degrees and a negative windchill). The room was nice, clean and had a great view. Walls were a little thin.

Overall a very nice hotel. I gave it only 3 *Is because the TV didn't work properly and the hallways outside of our room were noisy in the wee hours of the morning.

Went here on the same date with my daughter every year for the past 10 years to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra Christmas pops. The rates just went up $140 per night. What that translates into is that we (Marriott) doesn't want your business any longer. All of the surrounding hotels rates are the same as always. Disappointed. Nor I, my company or any of our subsidiaries will be using Marriott going forward. I don't care about the price, but in principle, that's not a good way to keep customers. And they were always nice to my daughter, what a shame.

We stayed there for 4 nights. Group rate was $297 per night, which was raised to $317 at check in, and were charged $337 on the credit card. We had requested two doubles for two adults and two kids. Room was very small, not fit for a family of four. When asked for a little bigger room, were advised that it will cost an additional $150 a night. Location was great, however, customer service was worst.

This is without a doubt the most expensive conference hotel I have ever stayed at. Valet parking was $50.00 per day, sodas at our banquet were $5.00, Beer $10.00 and wine $11.00. There was a one liter bottle of water in my room priced at $7.00! Breakfast buffet was $22.00 a person, not beyond what other hotels charge but nonetheless expensive when added to all of the other costs including what felt like non-stop tipping of the hotel staff. Room was nice but not exceptional, although the view from the 27th floor was great. Really nice gym and swimming pool if you have time to spare. Wi-fi was not provided for the conference or with the rooms and was an additional $12.95 to $18.95 per day depending on the speed you were requesting.

Marriott Copley Place is a quintessential large conf hotel in the heart of the city. With regards to hosting any events in the back bay area best bets are Westin or Marriott Copley Place based on size, price and availability. Westin is a little nicer but Marriott is more cost effective. A major highlight of MCP is the champions sports bar and restaurant. It's got a unique menu and massive TV's — very difficult to get a seat on certain big "game days" otherwise it's fairly empty. There is an additional seating lounge area that serves food, an attached Starbucks, a large check-in area with seating, and a top floor loft meeting space for cocktail events. I typically book this hotel for out of town guests and they are usually happy with the rooms. I did have a few one-off complaints regarding the smell of cigarette smoke or not being able to regulate the temperature in their room, but overall a fine hotel with a wonderful location and many meeting space options. The front desk employees are fairly easy to work with and do make a genuine effort to accommodate guests during their stay.
