Reviews of Hilton Boston Back Bay 4*
This place is unique for domestic and for tourists as well.
Convenient location to both Fenway Park and Logan. Staff is friendly and intelligent. Room was very clean. Modern design and appearance. Would stay again.
This is one of our favorite hotels in Boston! Excellent staff… nice atmosphere. All around great experience when we go here.
If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! Newly renovated room and if you’re into that dark-coloured modern look, you’ll love this room. Amazing view of the city. Bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. TV was huge! Bathroom was small but still reasonable for only two people (didn’t love that Vegas showgirl mirror lighting though). We had one of those rooms with a connecting door which I usually hate but I didn’t hear a peep from the other room. Housekeeping kept our room spotless. My only qualm was that the location wasn’t ideal because we liked spending our time closer to the north end. But if you are staying mostly around back bay, I would 100000% recommend this hotel. We got an amazing deal with Hotwire so we have no complaints, really!
Myself and my wife have just returned home in the UK after spending 7 nights st the Holton Back Bay. The room was on the 22th floor and offered a good clean and comfortable stay. We did not use the restaurant at all but the bar area although small was well run by the staff. We asked for a late checkout due to our flight late at night and agreed to us havi g the room for a full daily rate or give us access to the gym for a shower, we did not take any of these offers. There is a new hotel getting built across the road but did not affect our stay or sleep. The Hotel is well situated to get around.
This is the best Hilton hotel I have stated at thus far. It has a convenient location to the MIT campus. I really like the modern decor in the hotel and the hotel smells as good as it looks. The bathroom has a super big mirror with a light surrounding it which is excellent for getting your face in order. I will definitely stay again the next time I am in Boston.

Excellent Location, staff was friendly and helpful, view from the room amazing.
I stayed here last night, top notch hotel, good luck finding one nicer with a better staff.
Rooms are efficient and clean. Check-in/checkout is efficient. The location is fine, but there are other better placed hotels near Copley Square. Minor issue in that the iron in the room didn't work well, a hassle in the morning.
Very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Every staff person we encountered was great. From check in to check out. Close to the train and to shopping. Will stay again when we return to Boston.
The pool is awesome and as it should, also has a hot tub (Sheraton next door does not! ). I am generally cautious about public pools (hotel pools) however at this Hilton I would drink the water (not quite). The hot tub was no lie 110° which possibly makes it the hottest I've been in. Took me 10 minutes to ease on in but once acclimated, exceptional! As you'd expect from any flagship Hilton, super comfy beds and tasteful decor. Overall a very stylish comfortable and well appointed hotel. I never ate at the bar /restaurant so no review but I could guess it above average in content and price. Overall the location is great with 24 hour shopping nearby (7-11 within a 5 minute stroll past Berkeley School of Music (420! ) Would prefer Hilton to the Sheraton (no hot tub smh) next door.
The decor on the fifth floor is very dark. There is no light in the closest, which makes finding dark clothes nearly impossible. Forget about dropping a black clothing item on the floor. It's as good as lost. The shower is ok, the bathtub is fairly short. The T. V. Placement is off center a from the bed. I'd really like this room more of it wasn't so dark. It's like a man cave… very industrial.
There is a hotel is very expensive. The beds are comfortable.
The hotel was under construction in the main lobby so it was a little cramped, but the usually expected Hilton amenities were there. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are nice but really, really dark… Like black carpets, black and grey wall paper. Kind of weird. Also the light in the bathroom was so so bright. Blindingly bright.
Very comfortable and at the same time cheap place.
Very elegant, spacious and with all the comforts. Also very well located and with a beautiful view to the Bay.
Fantastic hotel. I'm a Hilton girl for sure. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It's a lovely hotel. The view from the 26th floor that I stayed on was awesome. Will continue to stay at this Hilton on my trips to Boston.
The Hilton in Back Bay is conveniently located near the Prudential Center, the Hynes Convention Center and Copley Square. It's close to the Green Line, and the Orange Line/Amtrak is a short walk away. The hotel itself is pretty nice, with clean and comfortable rooms. The service is typically excellent, with staff willing to help out with luggage and other needs. There is self-parking on-site, but you may have to park far from the elevator. The only real problem with the hotel is that the elevators are quite slow. If you are staying during a big event, you may want to consider getting a room on a lower floor. That said, the rooms are quite comfortable, with a desk for working and a comfortable couch near the window.
Very good hotel, although during my visit was in remodeling the Loby and all there was a narrow corridor where to wait for the vehicle or someone.
This hotel was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect proximity to Newbury, the Prudential Center and the Berkeley School of Music. More importantly, the staff was wonderful and helpful. I arrived later in the evening and, at the front desk, was given a room upgrade and free continental breakfast which was shockingly NOT disappointing. I ended up ordering a few things (toothbrush, menus for take out) and the staff was friendly and very quick. The diamond lounge for honors members is well stocked and spacious. Id definitely stay here again.
I stayed for two weeks and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently close to downtown locations and activities. Shopping is close and public transportation a short walk a way. It could do with a better restaurant which I believe they were working while I was there.
Room was comfortable clean and modern especially for a downtown location. Lounge was good and it had a very good breakfast at the executive lounge. Renovations are still not completed and there is a section of the lobby closed off to complete them, but it wasn’t a nuisance for a business trip. The staff was very friendly. At a rate of under 200 a night it was a very good value and I would recommend it.
As of the end of January this hotel is currently undergoing construction so be prepared for a few inconveniences. Overall, it's in a great location with The Garden only a few miles away. Staff is very courteous, even the valet guys were extremely helpful with our many questions. We'll definitely come back once the renovations are complete.
Comfortable and excellent location.
First Class Hotel. I spent many nights in this hotel during my move from Washington State to Massachusetts. The staff was attentive and responsive. The management team went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They definitely live up to Hilton's Values and Make it Right Promise.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The Hilton Back Bay is accessibly tucked into the Prudential Center District between Mass Ave and I-90. Location makes the hotel a solid choice for folks working in multiple Boston neighborhoods. The T is nearby and parking is self-park on-site or hotel valet. Unfortunately, parking is expensive ($43/night). I received a complimentary upgrade to a King Executive Suite for my stay and thoroughly enjoyed the room. Plentiful space, wonderful view, and access to the executive lounge. The lounge is a wonderful way to start and end the work day. Enough breakfast food to get you going and a super courteous staff (Hint: Pick the points bonus when you stay here and need to get out quickly in the morning). Evening food is ample, too, but not quite a full meal like breakfast. All in all, would absolutely stay here again if provided the opportunity!
Exceptional hotel with terrific staff. Rooms overlooking the Charles are amazing. Great little health club and always being updated. Good breakfast and terrific front desk staff make it wonderful.
The refurbished rooms appealing, the not yet refurbished mediocre standard. Restaurant and bar far below average in terms of ambience and style. Some staff quite friendly.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Modern building with masculine features. Centrally located. Quick (cheap) access to transportation if needed and plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Great shopping opportunities and great places to brunch after an evening out.
The room was an odd shape — mostly corridor with a huge, heavy bathroom door that opened itself if you didn't latch it. The hotel staff was okay, but the management was impossible and snooty and heavy-handed. The restaurant was outrageously expensive. There were too many stairs. The handicapped parking area had no curb cut. The street it's on was narrow and I nearly got hit exiting the garage. The function room layout was confusing. We were not informed about construction in advance — the lobby just disappeared overnight. Security is lax, one room's door didn't shut well, and it's easy to sneak in from the street. The catered food was bleh. For your own sake, go to the Sheraton or Westin or Marriott.
Room is very cold. The outside is 30-40F, and the first night the room temperature is below 70. I called twice the second day and the room temperature ended up with 74 and never go up even though I set the thermostat to the highest. Plus, the Internet is VERY slow, slow like a snail, and it is not stable. Sometimes I have to wait 10 seconds to just open a Google search page. Thanks to the hotel, I decided to completely give up my work and enjoyed a day off without communication to the outside world. While the hardware is good, room is spacious and relatively new. Come live here if what you care is just to find a place to sleep. OK… this is my second attempt to submit the review, because the first attempt to post is TIME OUT!

Nice basic business traveller's choice. Swimming pool and a relatively well equipped gym. Room cleaning does not score very well. Good location for shopping and restaurants.
Great location. Close to a lot of stores and restaurants. Very clean. Professional staff. Pool and jacuzzi we're better than expected.
Modern building with masculine features. Centrally located. Quick (cheap) access to transportation if needed and plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Great shopping opportunities and great places to brunch after an evening out.
Room is nice but slightly humid, a little bit larger than most downtown rooms I have stayed in. The room service food selection is, well, challenged. Staff is helpful and courteous. One odd thing, the Executive Lounge requires a coupon for breakfast, I've never seen that at any other Hilton. It's not a problem, just different.
Excellent accommodation and beautiful hotel. We had the Diamond breakfast and it was excellent. The staff are excellent.
Good location. Clean hotel, friendly staff. There is no possibility of an internal breakfast except at the Starbuck present at the lobby.
We don't typically stay in Hilton's hotels but overall this was nice and a good location to walk to everything in Boston. The bed was very hard and pillows weren't the best which did make my wife and I both quite untested on our stay. I can't say that's across all beds there though we may have just had bad luck.
Just okay… Over priced and rooms are tiny for the price. Best thing is location. Staff is to matter-of-fact and can be much kinder. One staff member actually argued with me over what instruction she gave me to get out of the parking garage. Poor sense of customer service causing me undue embarrassment at being told "you did the wrong thing, I told you how to do it" when in fact, the person told me incorrectly what to do and when I was forced to do otherwise because her directions were flawed, she insisted she told me what to do! What cheek! Almost ruined my day but certainly made me give a lukewarm review as a result. It only takes one bad encounter with bad customer service to run an entire stay! People who go into hospitality service should always remember they must always be courteous and never berate a customer especially when they are right!
My wife, Pamela Miller-Zier, had heard me say that I would love to see a ballgame at Fenway Park. A Bucket List thing. My wife travels for business and always stays at a Hilton property if available. Pammy surprised me with arraignments for me to see my Baltimore Orioles play the Boston Red Sox's on Thursday June 16th and the Sox against Seattle on Friday the 17th. I drove from NY state arriving around 1:30 pm to the Hilton Boston Back Bay. Upon arrival I was in severe need of restroom facilities. The first Hilton associate I met was Kevin. I informed him of my issue and without missing a beat he stated " Inside that door to your left and then right" That was the start of a very good two night stay. Calvin was "Perfection" checking me in. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. After the games I was very well taken care of by the Bartender in Forty Dalton. Every staff personnel that I encountered were very nice and helpful. If you want a great Hotel within walking distance of Fenway Park I would recommend the Hilton Boston Back Bay. I also found the people of Boston to be very nice and kind even to a guy wearing an Orioles cap. Thank You, Steve Zier.
Stayed 3 nights over memorial day weekend, great hotel in a great location. Staff was top notch, Calvin was great! He and the others were very friendly and provided us with great dining and entertainment venues. Will definitely return in the future.
My wife and I spent our anniversary here for the weekend while also attending a Red Sox game. The staff was unbelievable, they really made us feel like they were genuinely happy that we chose them to celebrate our special occasion with. The front desk lady comped our breakfast as a courtesy, which was a wonderful touch that we didn't even expect. All in all, we will be looking to come back here for any Boston related event we have in our future. Thank you to the whole Hilton Back Bay team, tremendous job!
Nice location but a bit outdated with amenities and TV. The air conditioning was also broken in my room so I had to open a window. It was a bit strange to have a window you can open on the fifteenth floor with no protective barrier outside it.
Way overpriced for what you get on top of a 300 plus dollar room don't forget to add 40 dollars just to park for 1 day. Put on a floor with a broken ice maker have to pay for decent use able Wi-Fi. Room was a joke literally a view of construction Porta pottys. You can hear everything happening in the hallway. Staff spent more time talking to each other rather than to the customer. I have stayed in motel 8s that were nicer than this. I would never stay here again you spend thousands of dollars in honor points and this is how you are treated.
Stayed here 2x in the last 6 months. Nice location close to Boston University, Fenway, House of Blues, etc. Nice clean rooms and last time my room had a great view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to McGreevy's too (Let's Go Murphys! ).
We booked online. Checkin took less than 2 minutes and checkout was even faster. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
The Hilton Back Bay is a wonderful hotel and I always enjoy my stay when I'm there for PAX! This time the room temperature was extremely warm, however, to the point that it was hard to get a good night's sleep. Staff said this was because of building-wide "winter thermostat modes, " but since it's in the 60s and 70s this week I would suggest being more flexible about guests being able to control the temperature. Otherwise, thanks for the great service!
We just use the board room for a live board gaming session for anime Boston. It was spacious and comfortable!
Nice rooms, comfy beds, though I didn't realize I had booked double beds and not Queens, which is the normal standard I've seen for four guests. The room was clean and quiet but the showers ran out of hot water and the cleaning staff didn't replace our towels even when we made the request.
This Hilton was fantastic! The place was very clean and the staff friendly. We had an issue with a room the first night, but the fixed it expediently. The location is great to many places in Boston. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted.
The hotel in general was very nice. We had a room on the 21st floor and had an amazing view. The facilities and lounge were very nice. There's really nothing you can do to improve the hotel. The staff were also very friendly. Definitely worth staying there!
Had a amazing weekend here at the Hilton. Dispute the weather being under 10 degrees and wind being painful everything else was spectacular. We were accommodated on the 25th floor with a amazing view. Hotel staff was helpful and very nice. It was our anniversary also Valentine's Day weekend and it was so special. Hotels were clean and updated. Beautiful room him and I shared. King superior with comfortable furnishings. I recommend this hotel for a weekend stay and getaway with someone special. We also stopped by 40 dalton a restaurant inside the Hilton and very reasonable food was great and service was phenomenal. Everything is close by so there is always something to do! Overall great weekend I will be going back.
Spacious, clean room. Overall aesthetic of the hotel was very nice. Only stayed for one night while in town on business, but would definitely stay again on a future trip.
Loved staying here while I visited family in town! It's in the perfect location in the heart of downtown Boston so I could practically walk anywhere I wanted to go from my hotel.
Great location for exploring central Boston. Attending a meeting in the conference centre across the road. Staff are very friendly and helpful, very pleased with the service received.
Room is about what I've come to expect from Hilton. Location is great and having a pool and fitness center is a plus at this price point. Staff has seemed accommodating enough my last couple visits but in a sort of flat, mechanical way.
Room was nice and located near everything we wanted to do. Parking is a bit expensive, but it's probably common. The bathroom was small but it did the job.
Hotel staff and location are excellent. Rooms are pretty basic and not modern, and diamond lounge is lame, but otherwise great hotel.
Nice, clean rooms. Excellent, attentive, and friendly staff. Room service was mediocre, but ok.
Location is nice if you're in town for a conference. My room was comfortable, if kind of oddly shaped. Mini fridge was included, which is always a plus.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room, reasonably priced.
We had the pleasure of staying here from 28th to 30th August, we had a fantastic time, the staff were all polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, especially the front of house. Our room was ready 2 hours before were expecting it too be which was superb as we were able to take all our luggage to our room and freshen up. On our departure day we were able to leave our luggage with reception all day then although we had checked out we were given a key to use their immaculate shower room. Thank you so much and we would recommend this hotel to everybody.
Friday or Saturday Evening. I was in the lobby. A dark-complexioned security guard was extremely rude to me. I felt very disrespected. There were two of us white men (not together) sitting in the lobby area. An attractive white woman walked into the lobby. The dark-complexioned security guard immediately started harassing both of us and attempting to emasculate us. Very unprofessional and completely inappropriate. Actually a form of sexual harassment. Needs to be terminated immediately and told not to bother people. I think his thinking was "I's own white women. These white boyz is @useis" LOL what an idiot. Stand up against this sexual harassment. It's not racist to tell someone to leave you alone. We have that right.
Great location! Very close to shops and restaurants. Room was very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The staff and management provided excellent customer service. Would definitely stay again.
Blah room, blah bed, no honor bar, malfunctioning iron, coffee shop in lobby 50% more expensive than any other coffee shop in town, Wi-Fi $15/night — — in short, a typical underwhelming, gouge-you-for-every-penny Hilton experience.
Stay here for PAX East every year. It's amazing, there's a reason I always come back. Within walking distance of lots of great stores too.
A friend was staying here and it was easier for me to stay with her than go home, so here we are. The lobby was nice and so was the room. Nice view, good temperate control (we were freezing when we got in and soon thought it was too hot when we turned the temperature up because we knowingly put it high thinking it wouldnt go that far), HUGE comfy bed but. The sheets were on backwards? We got in and the opening of the duvet was in our face. And the pillows were impossible to sleep on because they were so big (unless you want a neck cramp).
I stay at the Hilton Boston Back Bay every year for Anime Boston and Pax East. Even with the hotel being crowed and busy, the staff take there time to make sure you have everything you need. The hotel is spotless and the staff are always so nice and quick to bring anything to your room when needed. The diamond lounge is perfect for a quick, quiet, and delicious breakfast to get me and my friends going for the day. The only downside is the wait for the elevators during a convention but that can not be helped when everyone is trying to leave at the same time.
I love Hilton Chain very much so I try to chose in every case Hilton to stay. It makes me feel like home. But not this hotel. Staff are not friendly and I can say rude. Breakfast is very poor so you can have this breakfast outside at this price. They told me that with a extra pay We will give newly furbished room but if this room is new I wonder the what others like. They all charge fees for your personal amazon packages, but Logan Hilton doesn't charge you anything. They don't change blankets so frequently you should follow up. The carpet are old. And looks like dirty. The only good thing is the location of the hotel, not at all. I wish you success with this policy.
I am absolutely not happy with my stay at the Hilton Back Bay. I had booked 3 rooms, two prepaid for the 15-18 July for my guests and one post paid for 15-19 July for myself. I received an email about my bookings and had replied that we will only arrive on the 16th and had asked that the hotel checked us in since we will be arriving early on an overnight flight and needed the room when we arrive. Tommie, the Front Office Manager, acknowledged that they did receive my email but guess what? When we check in on the 16th we were told that there were no rooms for us, and all rooms were sold out the night before. Huh? Sold the two rooms that were pre-paid? Why? It was an embarrassing moment as my guests had to wait while I deal with the reservations. Tommie did offer us complimentary breakfast, but really that is not as important as getting into our rooms to refresh ourselves, after the overnight flight. 30 minutes later we were given keys to our rooms. Finally I thought we had the bad situation settled and was looking forward to better times ahead. But no, another disappointment awaits. We were not given the rooms that we had reserved. The reservations were for 3 Panoramic rooms, but we were given Standard rooms instead! I went to the Front Desk to clarify, and was told that they will switch our rooms when the rooms are available. I can’t understand why the staff can’t be upfront from the beginning and explain clearly what was planned?
Calm, serene and professional. These are the words I associate with the Hilton Boston Back Bay which may seem fairly normal/expected but really, was a nice experience all-in-all if you're in Boston and looking for a nice experience. The staff was very friendly from the concierge to the front staff. The rooms were comfy and nice as well with prompt heater/AC controls, a nice shower area that had a nice water pressure and the beds were all made out well. The room was spacious too — can't complain about the size of the venue (unless you're expecting a king's suite which you won't be getting here). You can also get Wi-Fi if you're either a Hilton member or you can pay (you might be able to get it for free too but ask the front staff about it). The location isn't too bad either. You're near the Downtown section of Boston as well as some nice venues/malls/restaurants. The gym here was pretty nice as well with a pool and regular fitness equipment available (and even a small outdoor section as well). The only small downsides mainly come in that you'll be in a neighborhood that's a little mixed with college kids and some stranger parts and that for the price you're paying, you may not completely feel that everything is as high class as the price. Again, you can't go too wrong in my opinion with the Hilton — they won me over and maybe will win you over too.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton earlier this month, as well as photographing a wedding there as well. The service we received was out of this world amazing, from the staff to the accommodations. Highly recommended.

RespondWake up every morning at 8:00 a. M. By the housekeeper.
Room not very clean.
Money gone in the room.
Tiny gym, ditto pool, mansongeres photos.
Little choice of Starbuck's breakfast food.
I'm not going back to a HILTON hotel!
Too expensive for the quality of service.
