Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking, but the staff were especially helpful and understanding, in these challenging times. No wonder Oasis is so highly rated and sought after. I would happily re book here based on this experience. Great customer service.

So far we've had an excellent stay at The Oasis! The rooms and buildings are very "Old Boston". Super charming! Also very clean, with modern bathroom appliances. Our room is right next to a spacious balcony that doubles as the smoking section, which is very cute. It's only our first night but so far I would definitely return to The Oasis Guest House!

Very small and intimate. A little overpriced for a small room, but overall not bad.

Quality spot when you are on a budget. Close to Berklee, Boylston, and Newbury Street.

My fiance and I stayed here for 1 night and it was very pleasant. We had a shared bathroom, but it was not a problem at all. Service was very friendly. Everything was very clean. They offered a nice breakfast spread as well. Location was great. I will definitely return here, next time I am in Boston.

I messaged them twice letting them know when I'd be in Boston and no response I had to book another hotel even though I paid for the room. I've been trying to get a refund from the hotel and nothing why should I lose money because they can't be bother to get a hold of you great way of doing business. Not impressed 400 dollars I won't see back.

Short distance to subway made it easy to travel all around Boston. Near CVS, whole foods, Starbucks, Dunkin donuts. Very basic in terms of amenities.

Nice clean room (ours was ensuite), good breakfast, would stay again. Note: If you are walking, the front door is on Edgerly St, the numbered alley is just their parking places.

Rooms was great and clean. Staff was nice and informative before and during my visit. Only 2 issues was no lock on door and they need a K-cup coffee maker for the late night coffee drinkers.

The rooms are small but it's clean and comfortable, well located in the Back Bay area. A short walk to the T. Decent price for the area. Option of private bathroom. I've stayed here 2 times.

Rooms are a good size. They try to make it a great place to stay and are very helpful and considerate. The only fuss I have is that the coat rack was furthest away from the door, and an electric kettle would've been great to heat up water for instant coffee/tea/soups.

It'S been one of my favorite trips without a doubt. A beautiful city that I recommend to all the tourists on the east coast. My girlfriend and I stayed for Thanksgiving and it has been wonderful.
I would definitely Recommend coming to Oasis for their cleanliness, their comfort in bed and room. The Breakfast we found was ideal as it had various bagels for breakfast next to Nutella or PeanutButter, a very charming and cosy hotel just 30 mins from the parks area, 20 from a street with a lot of shops and 10 from a bar area with very bue We prices.

This place has the best location for those who want to explore Boston. It’s within walking distance to shopping or if you want to sightsee along the Freedom Trail. Very near the subway too. The room was fine, clean and adequate. A little noisy at night in the alley but not too bad. No coffee until 7:30 am. My one and only complaint. I’m an early riser and it was difficult to wake up, then wait for 7:30. I prefer a coffee maker in the room. Always. Overall it’s a good place to stay. I would recommend it.

If you like charming, this is the place for you! This beautiful old brownstone is perfectly situated in the Back Bay if you're looking to be close to Berklee, Northeastern, or tourist attractions. Our room was on the second floor (in what I believe used to be a living room) and looked out over the street. The window opened so we could get fresh air. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful and held our bags for us while we were out sightseeing. A Continental breakfast was provided in the common room every morning (coffee, orange juice, instant oatmeal, pastries) and we had lively conversations with some international travelers there. The bathroom & shower stall were a little cramped. This place has character — it's definitely not a cookie-cutter hotel. And it was very reasonably priced.

Perfect location for our visit to NorthEastern University and for a Red Sox game. Our room (room 18) was the perfect size for parents with a 16 YO (queen + single bed). The continental breakfast was well stocked and very tasty. Wifi was reliable with good signal and we even had a nice deck on the fire escape to relax outside. The gentlemen at the reception desk were pleasant and helpful. The only drawback was that the bathroom was a little small, but at least it was a private bath. Altogether a great value for a nice room in a city were rooms are very expensive.

Stayed for 5 nights in a room with shared bath and toilet. I chose this place because it's high season and other hotels are expensive, and the stay was quite good. The room was clean and tidy. Wifi works perfectly. Breakfast is nothing gorgeous, but you still have plenty of healthy (and unhealthy) options. I had read some negative reviews about the reception staff, but everyone I met was quite professional and helpful. And the best thing about this place is the location. You can easily walk to Fenway, Symphony, Backbay, Public library, etc etc, and plenty of good places to eat out.

I stayed with my best friend for our annual trip to Fenway. I was a little nervous, as I had never stayed at a "guest house" before. But no fear! I normally fly into Boston Logan and take the T whenever I come to town. I came in from the Mass Ave T stop (just a 10 minute walk), the Oasis is just around the corner from the Boston POPS so the Symphony stop on the Green E line is even closer. (Added bonus, the Boston Science Museum is AWESOME and off the Green E Line so it ends …up being only a 20 minute ride with no transfers and short walk on each end to get there) To get to Fenway though, it was an easy 10 minute walk in the other direction. The area is very quiet, it seems like a family/student location. Berkley School of Music and Northeastern are very close. There was a nice playground right just down the street that was very clean. My friend and I felt very safe walking back from the ballpark after the games — about 11 pm. The hotel itself is a no-frills gem. Don't expect expensive furnishings or tacky decor to jack up the price. Simple rooms, but clean and comfortable. We had a private bath so I can't comment on the shared bath. But our room/bathroom was more than adequate for our purposes. We stayed in room 16 at the main house (there's an additional property a couple of doors down) so the breakfast area was right outside the door in this one.

The Oasis Guest House is the perfect place to stay if you are coming to Boston to see the sites or go to a Red Sox game! It's within safe walking distance of Fenway and the T. It's not fancy to look at but the staff is very accommodating and friendly and the free continental breakfast is very nice. I can't recommend this place enough especially for the price!

Great location, good value for money, nice breakfast.

Our room was somewhat oddly laid out, and the shower had very low water pressure at times. Additionally, parking can be very difficult. However, the man at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and it has a great location.

Warm and friendly and inviting! Very clean. Bathroom down the hall was just fine! Nice breakfast in the morning with really hot coffee! Very near Berklee, museums, great walks to the Commons and trains! Great find. I would recommend to anyone that wants comfort at good cost.

I've stayed at the Oasis on several trips to Boston — both business and pleasure. It's a hidden gem and within walking distance to bars and restaurants in Fenway, Back Bay, Convention Center and several T stations for anywhere else you need to go.

Easily accessible location and close to everything.

Perfect place to spend a few days in Boston. To few meters of the Back Bay. Located in a typical building of the area. Rooms very good and great breakfast. Very kind in his attention.

I was scheduled to exhibit at a trade show in Boston for our company for two days. The conference where I was exhibiting was a three day event, however the exhibition was only 2 days. So I scheduled a room for the three days I needed (the day before and the two days of the conference). A few weeks before the conference, a customer of ours asked to meet with me on the last day of the conference, a day that I had not scheduled for lodging, and of course the hotel I had booked originally did not have any rooms left available for the final day. So I booked a room at the Oasis because they were within walking distance to where the customer was. Two days prior to my reservation, my customer calls me and tells me that he is in the hospital and cannot meet with me. Now usually, a hotel will allow you to cancel as long as you do so within 24 hours of the reservation, but Oasis tells me that they will not allow me to cancel without a 100% penalty because they have a 7-day cancellation policy. They don't even have a cancellation polity for extenuating circumstances. They told me that I would still have to pay for the entire stay even though I had nothing to do with the need for cancellation. I could not turn in an expense report for a stay that I did not use because I would have to pay for that out of my pocket.

Very disappointing. Read the reviews before going and took a chance. When I booked, I was surprised at the awful cancellation policy but it is a great location and reasonably priced. So I took a chance. Egad! I booked two nights. It was so bad, my daughter and I stayed one night and then moved to the Sheraton for the second night. We had to pay for two nights at Oasis : — ( What was awful? We booked the room with two beds and balcony, for extra money. The carpet was old and worn. The bathroom was so tiny it was hard to maneuver. It was creepy. The room was barely clean — the baseboards were filthy and smelled. It seems like it had been a 10 minute cleaning with no thought to real cleaning. The balcony overlooked the parking lot and was also tiny. But we took a chance and lost. Don't make the same mistake and, for a little bit more money, book a real hotel.

The others reviews were pretty accurate (except for the mold part, did not have that in our room). The rooms are tiny and bathroom absolutely the smallest shower I have ever seen. But I did not plan on spending any time in the room, just a place to sleep so it was perfect. It is very central and for the price, it was perfect. Very friendly staff and nice decoration all over.

Exactly what I wanted. Clean, close and relatively inexpensive.

Place was awful. Price was less than hotels in area, because it WAS awful. Bathroom was disgusting. Moldy. Shower was 3X3 — feet. Pillows were like the ones on airplanes, except too firm. Breakfast was a joke. Stale bagels.
