Wow… the Mandarin really has what hotel luxury truly is all figured out. The customer service sets this hotel apart, and the Mandarin is giving the well-known, “historically Boston” hotels a run for their money. It was upscale yet not stuffy one bit. Relaxed, easy-going vibe with modern, upscale amenities that most well-known Boston hotels sometimes seem out of touch with. I was blown away by the customer service of each person I encountered… truly refreshing to meet people who take pride in their jobs. Absolutely a wonderful overnight that I can’t wait to repeat… it was my first time staying there, and I can’t believe It has taken me so long to check out everything this hotel has got going on. Between the customer service, the food, and the AMAZING spa, I don’t see the point of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much for such an excellent stay!

We have travelled to spas all over New England and throughout the Boston area. This one is the BEST! It is a true luxury experience. Hands down the most experienced, talented, and friendly therapists. We are welcomed like family every time we come. The amenities in the locker room are unmatched.

Easily one of my favorite places in the city. Definitely one of the nicer places in the city but you don't need to be dressed up to go, t-shirt and shorts are acceptable. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. I have never had anything bad from the menu and their bar is great. The bartenders are fun to hang with when you are alone or with a group. Brian and Ricky are the two bartenders that I remember. Both make a great cocktail.

We had great drinks at the bar. Nice restrooms. Small perk but interesting. If you're a fan of them, you can get free Wi-Fi.

Great hotel. From the time I arrived to the time I checked out everything was first class. My only wish was that I was staying here longer. Located in the heart of Boston and steps from everything.

Perfect place to grab drinks. The bar and lounge is very chic and not too loud. They often have a 3-person band as entertainment in the evenings. The bartender was very sweet and knew exactly what she was doing; our drinks were delicious! the drinks were very creative and most included elements I hadn't ever had in cocktails before. Although pricey, the drinks were high quality and not outrageous, especially for such a nice hotel.

I have attended a number of events at the Mandarin Oriental. The decor is very well done and attractive. The lighting is quite beautiful. The service has always been excellent and the food very very good. It's got a great location in the center of Boston next to the Prudential Center.

A very luxurious hotel but very pricey. Visited Boston during First Night 2013-2014 and had a great time. What an amazing time to visit! In room dining was delicious and a treat, the only thing that wasn't so great was the fresh squeezed orange juice, but they get a pass because oranges were certainly not in season. Would consider coming back for a short stay for a special occasion/ anniversary.

Doorman looks miserable. Some of the front-end staff look like they do not want to be there or are severely overworked… They need to make a culture where the guests would likely come back for service not just for arrogance and or "prestige". Lets step it up!

Tasting menu was hit and miss. Ceviche drastically needed seasoning. Octopus was very good. Rice that accompanied fish was cold and dry, tasted like leftover from lunch.

Luxury hotel with exceptional amenities. The hotel features a spa and many upgrades to the normal hotel experience. It is a trendy upscale hotel with large rooms and many meetings spaces. The grounds are clean and pleasant. Come and see why this luxury hotel is rated so highly.

The place was very nice the staff were incredibly friendly even though we looked severely underdressed compared to the other patrons. This has to be one of the cleanest places we visited in Boston. And we were given an umbrella when we left because it was raining.

I came to this hotel during Christmas time, they had tea time hr. You would have to make a reservation before you arriving. I am not sure if they still serve tea time hr since holiday is over. It's a set of price like $65 person so it's kinda pricey. When I walked into lobby, the staffs greet me with a smile and even pulled my chair out for me. The waiter was amazing even she is the only that serve all the table and she is very knowledge with the food that's on the menu. No matter how busy she is, she would come back to check on us to make sure we are all set. Since it was set of price, it came with champagne, apple cider, top place was scones with jams. Second plate was different type of finger sandwiches and variety types of deserts.

Staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston was one of my most pleasurable experiences. Besides being a true luxury hotel, the staff is beyond belief amazing and just like at 'Cheers' they all know your name! Can't recommend highly enough!

Very nice ambience with good atmosphere. The place is cozy and the place wasn't too packed for celebrating new year. The drinks were good but expensive. The server also didn't mention they charged an extra 18$ fee when my friend ordered a special drink. Other than that the place was not overcrowded but still lively and fun.

Only visited the spa for a massage on a girls day with my mom and sister — Did not stay overnight. The spa is very clean and relaxing. The blankets in the waiting room are so nice. I don't recommend going as a couple though since there are no coed amenities.

Amazing staff! Beautiful hotel! Delicious food. But, the SERVICE is remarkable! The entire staff gets an A+! The Concierge Team were unbelievably professional, courteous, and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and perfect! Corey Lopez and the whole team behind the front desk to the staff we encountered just passing through the hallways were so friendly and professional. The Concierge Team was the best I've ever encountered throughout our worldwide travels! Can't wait to come back!

I went to the hotel for Bar Boudon; a delicious brunch place. However, I did get to wander the premises. They certainly know how to decorate! Wonderful art and jewerly on the premises. The bathrooms were also spectacular and clean! And of course, the brunch was exquisite. I recommend the sole on the brunch menu.

Went there for a sponsored event. Everything was perfect there. From the moment the door man open the door for us, to the food, and the hotel staff. It was perfect.

The projector setup was good as was the food spread was good. Hopefully the golden retrievers in the lobby are an all the time thing.

Excellent service with the perfect location. Big comfortable rooms. However I do miss the welcome cookies. They used to serve tea/coffee and a delicious cookie when you first check into your room.

I always enjoy Mandarin Oriental properties, and this one happens to be around the corner from where I live! The spa is hands down the best in Boston, and the restaurant, Bar Boulud is quite tasty as well.

Spacious and Luxurious Art Deco — We had chosen this for a long weekend in Boston, looking for a high quality stay. The hotel comes highly recommended as per US News and TripAdvisor, so it was a safe bet. Compared to other establishments in Boston, this was centrally located near the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) and the Isabella Gardner, and far away enough from Fenway Park that we wouldn't be bothered by noise and crowds. We have paid more for rooms, but the one provided had to be one of the most luxurious we have stayed in. The very large bathroom contained a jacuzzi tub, shower with multiple heads, and an enclosed toilet. The bedroom contained a desk, couch, a walk-in closet and very comfortable king bed. The furniture was plentiful, in an art deco style, and overall the hotel was distinctive and quite beautiful. As for electronics, there was free Wi-Fi, lighting that was handled remotely through wall switches, and USB outlets on one side of the bed. Both sides had electrical outlets. Room cleaning was excellent and unobtrusive. Its location was important, with a 25 minute walk to either the MFA or Gardner, 10 minutes from Back Bay Station, and located near wonderful restaurants, in particular L'Espalier.

Had a wonderful lunch. The hotel is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The meeting rooms are great, lots of options and sizes.

Went to eat at Bar Boulud. The service, food, and service we're all outstanding. The chocolate mousse dessert was one of the best I've ever had.

I did not have a room, however the staff was very hospitable. The location was very warm and blissful.

We had a lovely dinner there for Dine Out Boston. Food and service were great. Valet parking at a discount is a plus.

The best spa in Boston, hands down! Everything from check in to check out was top notch. It was our 2nd time there and we plan to make it an annual trip. Definitely the best massage I've ever had, couldn't be happier with the service and amenities!

The finest in luxury hotels. But don't walk in looking out of place. You will get the stink eye. But who doesn't like to be surrounded by luxury and beauty.

If I could, I would replace my bedroom and master bath at home with the room & bath that I so enjoyed at the Mandarin Oriental Boston. It was quite elegant and very comfortable. The spa experience is beyond nirvana. A treat that one must experience in one's lifetime. Added niceties were appreciated as well. Loved it!

Simply the Best! I have stayed in about 30 supposed 5 star hotels, this hotel was the best overall experience to date.

In summary — couldn't be better. Service was excellent, location was excellent, and room was superb. The room was very large as was the bathroom. The bed was supreme with pillows galore. Big screen TV and beautiful large couch for lounging. Nice desk with all the utensils you would need to open your own business. Internet connection in the room but you can use the great computers in the business office 24/7. Hotel next to the Prudential center for shopping and sight seeing. Restaurants abound across the street or a block away. For seeing Boston this is one pleasurable place to stay. The bar was extremely friendly with tasty chowder and wonderful drinks. In total I didn't see a flaw in this venue and hope to be back in the future.
