The best place to stay! We love BDH!

Clean rooms, friendly staff and location location location!

The rooms were super clean, comfortable, everything in working order but dated. A refresher would be a great asset because of the location of the hotel. It's 5min walk from the beach and in the center of town. Host was super friendly.

I have to say this is probably up there for one of the worst places I've ever stayed. I'm giving one star for it's very convenient location and another because the person at the counter was nice at check-in. Other than that, the place is old and outdated and smells the same. I never felt privacy because rather than having any kind of curtains, they had blinds on the window that didn't fully cover them. Walking by, I could see in the room and stayed in the far back corner when changing in it or in the bathroom. The "TV" was smaller than my computer monitor at work. The toilet in the bathroom was so close to the wall that you had to sit sideways to use it; but even grosser was the fact that the towel bar was right over it. The towels were touching the toilet and every time you lifted the seat, you were brushing your towels with it! I thought the AC didn't work because it was unplugged and when I plugged it in, it didn't come on. Turns out the first two outlets in the power strip next to it that I tried didn't work and it was unplugged because the AC on/off button didn't work so you had to unplug it to shut it off. (BTW, found some dead bugs in the corners while looking for a working plug). They advertise they have alarm clocks in the room but there wasn't one in mine. I figured it wasn't too big of a deal and I'd ask for a wake-up call but low and behold, there wasn't a phone either! Better hope that cell phone is charged if you have an emergency and need to call for help!

Location was great, right in the heart of the shops and restaurants. A very short walk to both the beach and the Marginal Way. Hotel was kind of old and the rooms were not spotless, however the beds are quite comfortable and all rooms have AC.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Great location just about an 8 minute walk from the beach with free parking on site. Easy access to the trolley and downtown Ogunquit.

We came across this hotel last minute right when they were about to close! Super nice guy at the office and it was super affordable and super close the the beach about a 5 min walk right to the beautiful view! The inside is like a cabin feel and the space was more than enough for just the 3 of us there they only had one available room and it had 3 beds we only needed 1 but thats was extra over all it was great and next time we visit we will be staying here again thank you!

This was our first time in Ogunquit, Maine and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. It was my fiance’ Birthday weekend getaway. I booked the room through a third-party website at random. We chose an inexpensive stay so we could have more time over the weekend. The location is perfect. It’s right downtown in the middle of all shops, restaurants and nightlife. It’s a five minute walk to the beach. Staff was very accommodating. Our room was small but quaint. There was free coffee every morning. It was very quiet at night. We had a room in the back right off a shared deck where we layed out in the sun all day. Perfect spot for morning and even sun right outside our door. BBQ grills were available. Again, the best part was the location. We could walk to the beach then go back to the room. Go to lunch/dinner then go back to the room. Walk around town then go back to the room. It was very convenient. Once you park your car it stays there. If you are high maintenance or have high expectations this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for a decent priced getaway in a million-dollar location with great staff this is the place for you. We stayed 3 nights for under 300 dollars, 6/8 — 6/11booked months in advance.

Wonderful location with the beautiful beach just down the street. The downtown is really cozy with lots of nice amenities at hand. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly suggest visitors get your reservations in soon.

I can’t say enough good things about the Betty Doon Hotel. We have been going to the hotel for many years and are never disappointed The location is fantastic, convenient to everything. Rick and Matt are the best. They are extremely accommodating and go out of their way ensure a pleasant stay.

Loved this little hide away right in the middle of everything! My room was old fashion camp cottage style and felt like family camps in nh with their knotty pine walls. Everything was clean and well kept. Their lobby was friendly homie and inviting you to sit. And right in the middle of downtown easy walk to the beach. I'll be back! They could do with some sunny public seat outside.

Had an awesome Fourth of July getaway here. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms and common areas were clean. Location wise, you can't beat it. You are in the middle of town with just a quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The price is well worth it. Why spend astronomical hotel rates when you are hardly there?

My daughter and I have been spending the 4th of July at Betty Doon for many, many years. It is the best place ever. The staff are like family and the rooms are basic but clean and have just what you want for vacay. We are having a 4 generation holiday this year, My mom, me, my daughter and my granddaughter. My former daughter-in-law (mother of granddaughter) is coming too. Can't wait.

Absolutely love the Bettydoon.! The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. About a three minute walk to the beach. This is my favorite place to go in Maine.!

My husband and I have been coming here for the past several years and always enjoy it. Last year, we reserved the entire place for friends and family to attend our wedding party. To this day, our friends and family talk about how much they enjoyed staying at the Betty Doon! Rick and his staff are terrific. You cannot beat the location! I recommend the Betty Doon to anyone looking to get away while not breaking the bank!
