The room was okay. Not very clean, but reasonable for being on the cheaper side. Mirrors and headboards were covered in handprints. The coffee was pretty decent and the breakfast bar had waffles. That was almost all I really cared about anyway. Staff were pleasant.

Keys that don't work, Nats on the breakfast, dirty floors and unmade beds. Over inflated price.

This hotel was pretty nice. The room was large, dark, and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was larger and better quality than most hotels I've been to. There are several places close enough to walk for food and drinks.

Last minute reservation on 8/7/18 at the Freeport Econo Lodge, young gentleman at the check-in desk, was swarmed with a large group of people. As I was waiting my turn, I observed that he handled all their questions and added discounts with ease even though they seemed impatient (he was the sole staff at the front desk). He kept his cool and remained professional and smiled. I spoke with him after the group left to their rooms. He checked me in with the same quality of service, and I complemented him on his professional skills handling that stressful situation. Rooms are clean, tidy, and simple. Very happy and will be coming back here again!

Stayed here for two nights prepaying $340.00 which was a (discount). Upon checking in at 3:30pm we went to our room which was unlocked to find tools laying around and the bathroom door knob completely removed and placed on the desk as well. We went back to the front desk to address this problem we simply got a shrug of the shoulders and were told there are no other clean rooms and that we can wait here or in our car, mind you it’s 90 degrees outside. We decided to go back to our room where we awkwardly waited for about an hour for the maintenance man to chisel out the bathroom door and put on a new knob. When we just wanted to rest after traveling all day. The next morning we got prank calls all morning starting at 7:00am so we didn’t get to sleep in. We went out for the day and returned to our room to find all of our unopened food and drinks that we just bought the night before as well as my girlfriends brand new razor completely gone! I mean really? It was an overnight stay, why take all of our belongings? Which is basically theft. At night it was loud with doors slamming and people talking and laughing all hours of the night. The breakfast was bland and the juice and coffee was watered down. For $170.00 a night I would have expected some accommodations or something, we got nothing but a shrug of the shoulders. Would not recommend.

Love this place. Clean clean room. Modern amenities and great location for me. Front desk help was pleasant and efficient. I would stay here again. Hope my next trip to Maine they have available rooms.

Service is poor and the rooms are terribly out dated. Not worth the money at all.

Most of the motel has been remodeled. Everything is new in the rooms. Tremendous value. Even soft feeling flooring.

They are still remodeling but the room we got was very nicely decorated. Angel was the night clerk and helped us get settled. We would come here again. Thanks for the great experience.

In the process of Remodeling. There were problems, but It would be unfair to judge the hotel during renovations. The evening front desk receptionist was awesome, and did everything she could to rectify the room problems.

Good clean lodging at a teasonable price & only a few miles away from L. L. Bean.

Staff were friendly check in was easy pulled down my blanket and the blanket had dried tomato sauce all over and hair through out the sheets checked the blanket of the second bed and I'm hoping that was mud also hair between the sheets Went to lobby to request clean bedding was told bedding is changed after every customer I told her the condition of the blankets and went to find some dinner came back all she gave me to replace the bedding on both beds was a single blanket I know those sheets were not changed.

We were able to check in early. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and floor. The chain lock on the door was broken. We won't be staying in any of these hotels again! You get what you pay for!

Loved the convience of the motel it was directly off the highway and was reasonably priced. Had anything we would ever need was quite happy for what we got for price.

The worst customer service by Clair at the front desk, I’ve stand at this location before and never had this experience, I reserved my room as usual and went to pay cash I was told I could and I have before. I’m a choice member I used my choice app. Came back in and said do you accept debit cards she said yea if it works, what kind of response is that, then she told me don’t get an attitude with her like I was a child and I simply answered here question. I’m driving my moving truck and then she said I couldn’t park in the parking lot and like before I stated I did before, the parking lot is no where near full, if could’ve canceled my reservation I would’ve let, unacceptable and I will be going higher management tomorrow.

Nice rooms, clean, staff really nice. Breakfast was pretty sparse but other than that, great.

Nice motel with big rooms, modest sized baths, easy access to rooms, breakfast room is small.

Not top of the line, but you know that. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. There was a table I could work at and a chair. The television was older model and the picture was not crisp.

Our greeting and initial booking in was excellent, with the young asian man a credit to the company. The room was very clean and tidy, and had everything we expected, with eating places nearby. All in all, it was great value for money — so much so it was our intention to stop a second night. However, when we went to breakfast the next morning, the man at the desk (a bearded white man) was the most miserable, unhelpful person we had ever dealt with. It was clear he was not happy to be there, and he was not going to let anyone else be so either. With finger points, or one or two word answers to questions asked by myself and other people, and huffs and puffs when he had to wipe the counter, banging the milk down with this obviously unwelcome to him chore. This made us decide to leave immediately after breakfast. I told him it had been our intention to stay but because he was so miserable we would not. We left!

It's not bad for the price. I slept incredible well. There was a problem with my room keys and the replacement keys but I eventually got in.

The only problem I had was the 2 keys I got when I checked in didn't work. Went back to the desk the night manager got 2 more keys and walked back with me. He couldn't get those keys to work. He looked at me like I could solve this issue… he says I can go get the master key and let you in but you won't be able to leave. I was fine with that since I had my bags with me and it was 11p.

This motel is not kept clean. We stayed here three nights over two weeks with our party using 4 separate rooms. They were tolerable, but I had to keep my mind off the mildew, grossness around the toilets, and drips on walls.

Our hotel room was fairly clean but the bathroom was downright gross. Floor and bath and toilet were dirty with hairs from all parts of the body and toilet was leaking water all over the floor. I do not know how you can rent a room in such a condition. I actually took pictures. Never ever going back there.

Clare was most helpful to our family while visiting Econo Lodge Freeport; recommending a great place to eat. She made a good stay, a great stay. Room was clean and comfortable; free breakfast too. Perfect for our needs.

Upon arrival to the Econo Lodge I was not impressed with the room. First off, it had a really funky smell to it. Very dumb lighting, and everything was very outdated (sheets, lights, wallpaper) The room had holes in the ceiling all over and the carpet was stained and old. I guess I can't complain too much because it was by far the best priced place in town for the nights we are staying. I guess you get what you pay for in this case. There is free Wi-Fi (when it works) free TV, local calls, air conditioner, and free breakfast which wasn't great but there is enough to ear to get you started for the day. All that being said I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again.

I'm uncertain how this received such high reviews on Choice Hotel's website. The bathroom appeared unclean, but unfortunately we arrived very late at night. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the "hot breakfast" had not one bite of protein and had not been restocked, and the man at the front desk snarled at everyone and was making fun of guests while checking in others.

Given the weather conditions it was good. However staff on checkout day was impolite. Yes I would stay here again but expect better manners from the staff.

They have a fridge and microwave in the room. Flat screen tv, but out dated blankets. No bed bugs, but if you lift the covers to check you may find a lot of other people's hair.

It was very clean and the man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. He went above and beyond what's expected from him.

Small room, good proximity to Maine Beer Company and Downtown Freeport, perfectly adequate for a one night stay.

This was the third time I stayed here this year (due to proximity to Maine Beer Company) ; cheap and serviceable. I always receive nice clean rooms and they have one of the better free breakfasts that I've come across in my travels. The only continuing issue is the showers. Twice the hot water handle got stuck, and once a large amount of black particulate came out of the faucet.

It was fine for a one night stay. If it were a longer stay I would stay somewhere where with more to do.

The economy lodge was a clean hotel it was exactly as shown on there website, closer to downtown and the highway. They're continental was very good. The price of the rooms wad excellent I would stay there again.

For the price it's not to bad. I will sleep anywhere though. My wife on the other hand was not a fan of this place.
