Review of Super 8 by Wyndham Augusta 3*

I just needed a clean, comfortable room for the night. This motel exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable and a great value for the money. I was able to get a small discount for being an AARP member. The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. They put me a room with a king-size bed towards the back of the property, away from the street noise. When I entered my room, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was much larger than I expected, and tastefully appointed. Not your typical, run-down furniture. The room was very clean. I have no complaints, and I do a lot of traveling and am hard to please. The bathroom is nearly twice the size of typical economy motel bathrooms. A shower instead of a bathtub (who uses a bathtub these days? ). No crud or mildew — exceptionally clean. The towels were fresh and clean, and looked like they were new. The room had a refrigerator and a coffee maker. I went up to the front desk and asked for some extra coffee, which the desk clerk happily provided. I wanted to work on my laptop for a few hours before going to bed, so I appreciated the extra coffee. There was a large flat-screen TV in the room, but no remote control. I informed the front desk and they took care of it. The bed was very comfortable. I like a firm bed and this was very nice. The free hot breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and fresh waffles (plus cereal, juice, bagels, etc. ). Good coffee! I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area, and I wholeheartedly recommend this motel. It's everything a person should expect for the price, and more.
