Nice new chair lifts do NOT accomodate adaptive skiers, and this sucks! Great mountain, greedy owners! 🤬

My fiancée and I recently did the Adventure Zipline tour and are stoked we did! Everything was phenomenal — pre-activity communication and the tour itself. After getting kitted up and going through the safety talk, our driver, Dillon, masterfully got the van up the slopes to the first Zipline platform. Our guides — Drew and Dalton — were great and make sure we had fun (safely of course). Luckily we were the only two on the tour and it had just snowed the night before, adding a cool element to the Zipline views. 10/10 recommend, especially with the crew we had.

A beautiful place, very nice and knowledgeable staff and helpful to give us idea what to do and see in such a short time. We took lift to summit and we had a wonderful time. I have to get back here to stay and play in winter.

Definitely not worth the hype. Very crowded lift lines especially on weekends. Many restaurants not open due to Covid but this only creates even more congestion at the restaurants that are open. The parking lot attendants are complete jerks. Way overpriced all around. Won’t be back.

Montana Jacks is delicious just got in and first place we ate the food was awsome and our server Nick took great care of us definitely will be coming back.

We visited here the week of Christmas and had such a wonderful experience. Every employee and staff member is super nice and helpful. They made sure you felt safe and the resort was clean. Everyone from the bellmen to the restaurant employees to the gift shop workers were amazingly kind. The Summit hotel penthouses are amazing and worth every dime. I highly recommend this resort and they will make sure you are well taken care of.

Big Sky is a fantastic ski resort! Staff were super courteous and helpful. We will visit again! Mark this destination on your travel list!

Was just at the resort for a quick day trip in September. Couldn't go up the tram but went up both chair lifts. Views were incredible all around. If you want to go to the top of Lone Peak you have to reserve ahead of time and the last one leaves at 2:45. Chairlifts are open until 4:30.

Never fails to amaze us! One of our favorite happy places considering we got married there in the Huntley Lodge! 12-10-16 The summer mtb trails have terrain for all skill levels and are totally rad! The skiing most definitely offers some of the best skiing in the world! A must see place to visit!

Definitely a Hidden Gem. But it is getting more and more known. Beautiful area and lots of good restaurants and lodging options in the area. We stayed right at the resort and the accommodations were great staff was great. Did the tour to the stop top of Lone Peak well worth the money to be able to take that experience and see those views. We did have some smoke move in on us from the wildfires but the views are amazing when there's no Haze in the air.

Big Sky resort is a nice hotel. Resort is accurate. We stayed here for a commercial shoot. The staff here are very helpful and a delighted to greet you in passing. The layout of the three different hotels can be a bit of a maze but after the first nights stay gets easier to find your way around. They offer plenty to do when it's not snow season. They have a rock climbing wall for different ages and difficulties. The bike trails are among some of the best.

This trip has been tremendous. This is based solely on a summer time visit. The staff at Big Sky and the affiliated locations are great. There is more here to do than you can do in a couple weeks. I highly recommend getting a guided tour of Yellowstone. Yellowstone is a bit of a haul from here and they can get you a taste of what you might want to go back and explore. There is more to do here than we were able to scratch in our 5 days. Be prepared to spend some cash, but it is cash well spent.

I did not stay at this resort. I walked up to the resort from my lodging to see what shops were available since my last visit. The Mountain Mall now has a patisserie/coffee shop, which is a nice addition. Other new shops I noticed included a place that has ice cream and another billed as a candy store. I think these shops are great additions to the mountain top. I stopped in at The Hungry Moose convenience store and bought 2 bananas. They were everything I wanted from a banana. There are a number of new, outdoor activities, mostly for small children: mini-golf, panning for gold, bungee trampoline, a short climbing wall, and more. I did not try any of these but I bet kids would get a kick out of them. Again, I've not stayed here, but it's a fine resource for those on the mountain.

I can't speak to the accommodations, but the runs were amazing! Definitely take the gondola to the peak if you want to test your skills or just enjoy the view (you can ride the gondola back down). This was one of the few places that had a ton of snow last season and having the majority of lifts open made the ticket price worth it. They also serve excellent coffee in the main lodge.

Had a blast here with the kids. A lot of terrain, nice woods trails. The kids also loved the ski school instructors. It's hard to get lunch mid mountain but the base restaurants never had a wait. We'll definitely be back.

We were there late March and early April. The snow condition were great. Almost all lifts and runs were open. It's less than one hour of drive to Yellowstone national park's west entrance. One can book a day trip into the park on snowmobile or snowcoach if you get there before March 15. Our ski vacation was wonderful there. Beautiful view and great snow with little or no wait for lifts!

Beautiful place. Not much of a skier but I did get two days in. Would recommend it in a minute too anyone because of the size of the area. So much variety in terrain and runs for different ability levels.

This past week, my husband and I skied for the first time in over ten years. I want to tell you what a fantastic time we had! It has been so long, I am back to being a beginner skier. All of the lift operators, ski instructors, guides, and every person I interacted with was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The accessibility has changed since I was last on the slopes. The group of physically handicapped skiers that I saw impressed me. I also appreciated how much fun an apparently mentally handicapped person was having – with two side-skier guides, and a support person behind. It took three people to get him down the hill, but he was clearly overjoyed with the experience. I also want to tell you how much I appreciate how safety has changed. Last time I skied, there were about three adults with helmets. This time, there were only a few without helmets. I recognize that this is not unique to Big Sky, but I appreciate the culture change, and it must be supported by the resorts in order to have occurred. Most of all, the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff I had interactions with was excellent. Keep up the good work!

Arguably some of the best terrain we've skied as a family. No lines and so much open terrain. Tree skiing was amazing. But, no ski town to speak of. This is a mountain for families who want to ski together and then spend most of their time back at the hotel in the hot tub together :) we did just that and had a great time. The staff on the mountain were great! Everyone in a very good mood :)

Pretty good layout of the mountain. Given the bitterly cold temps, it would be nice to have the "bubble" or covered lifts on the swift current and the six pack given their length. (Obviously a luxury but would be a nice consideration). Also, been there three times and twice there have been break downs of the lift, once requiring evacuation of the six pack! Point of stating that is to remind us all is to be prepared while out on the mountain (any where, any time). Big Sky is really a skier's and boarders mountain, meaning do not go there for a lot of night life. Food options are very good. In fact, I feel that the food is much better in quality compared to Park City (which I visited earlier this year). Yellowstone is an easy trip and an excellent way to take a break, mid vacation. Also lots of good food options in West Yellowstone.

Huge, huge, huge! Also see: massive. Big and impressive with incredibly varied terrain for all levels including extreme expert. The bowls and glades are endless and the powder is deep! The runs are incredibly long but lifts can be found throughout to break it up if needed. There were no lines on Friday except for the tram. The whole feel of the mountain is very relaxed and welcoming. Love the yurt grill/bar on the backside. My only recommendation would be to replace the backside lifts as they are ancient and very slow with no safety bars. Love this mountain!

Short lift lines and nearly empty runs, especially at Moonlight Basin. Really enjoyed the long blue groomers. Must take the tram to the top even if just for the view. Thoroughly enjoyed Liberty Bowl run from the top — no bumps, just steep powder. Only downside is the plentiful supply of small rocks on many upper runs even mid season with above-average snowfall.

I was there mid-January 2018 for three days. Very steep mountain, a delight for advanced skier. Nice soft snow, I even found some powder leftovers, nice groomers. Beware of hidden rocks on the top side, it is hard to see them from above. Large rock faces are clearly marked. Lifts are fast, almost no waiting in line, except the Tram to the Lone mountain peak, where wait is about 20-30 min mid-day. Friendly staff. Adult tickets are expensive, cost $140. Senior discount starts from 70+ (!? ), which is ridiculously high considering very challenging terrain. Good restaurants on the mountain and nearby within 30 min ride, I recommend Bucks T4 and Riverhouse Grill. Drive to airport on a good day takes 1h10. Mobile connection is provided by AT&T towers, beware of data roaming. Highly recommend to visit if you like steep challenging terrain.

First time snowboarding out west and I was not disappointed… Huge mountain, great snow, and very friendly staff… Special thanks to Don a resort guide who helped show us around to the Madison area where it was allot less crowded… Simply amazing place with breathtaking views from every slope.

Went to the Big Sky Dinner Yurt and it was fantastic. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Offered seconds which was nice. Out of hot chocolate was my only complaint. Offered and then told they were out. For the price they should have everything available. Other than that minor flaw it was a great experience!

Spent 5 days there between Christmas and New Year. Out of 5 five days, none of them was the resort fully open. The electronic lift status do not work, the website is not updated on time, so you don’t know that the lifts are closed until you arrive at the top of the first run. Lack of snow first, but no lack of rocks on the few runs open… My son's new skis are dead. Then lack of maintenance. The main lift at the base was closed for a full half day (more than 1hr waiting time on the remaining two other lifts). Then wind. Nobody can do anything about that, too bad. But when the wind calms down, the lifts don't open? This is not a cheap place, and for the price they charge, you expect way more. They hide under the “early season conditions”, then give us an early season price! Two days of OK ski out of 5, 2 * out of 5.

Visited for a Sumner conference. Enjoyed the grounds, scenery. A lot to do if you want to be busy. If not, relax by the pool, lay in the hammock, sit and read. Several restaurants on site. Wonderful deli in the small grocery. Shopping available as well. Rooms were standard. Well kept. Nice balcony for view. Staff was friendly and attentive. Conference rooms were all well equipped. Will definitely return.

We keep returning to BS every 2 years for week vacations usually around Christmas or New year. This is where 5 stars comes. While this place is spectacular about snow I really want to focus my opinion on other items Seems every year there is less to do at Resort for adults and kids after skiing. This year we discover that little coffee shop located in lobby is gone! And not replaced with anything similar. Few years ago there was outside little shop with food set up in central courtyard. gone again As far as I remember it was always busy at lunch times and offered international foods items Also seems like there is very limited or less functions for kids to have fun after outside activities. It’s a joke to set up one event for kids ages from 4-16 (like there is one now) Whoever is in charge of entertainment events is definitely blind. Maybe he or she should pay a visit to Other resorts where they have great kids/ teenagers programs. For after hrs — Big Sky resorts gets zero stars Bonus stars (I am being cynical) — in cinema they removed all custom chairs and temporary put restaurant chairs. And all this magically happen right at hottest season of the year! Why they did not swap them overnight with ones being custom made — great planning BS! In room we had slight problem with toilet — after 30 min trying to call front desk and housekeeping I went down to verbally report it — done. Would you imagine it took them 6 hrs to send someone to fix it!

This place is truly one of a kind after just one trip here I know I'm coming back. The terrain is amazing having something for everyone. From beginner slopes to expert hikes to some of the steepest terrain in the country this place doesn't fail to amaze. And the lift lines are non existent even on a Saturday at noon. Can't wait to return soon.

Obviously Big Sky is a Ski resort, so summer activities are a bit limited. If you're looking for something to do, the staff in the office is very helpful. I was looking to book a helicopter flight over the region and a climbing excursion, and the staff was able to help with everything I needed, even on such a short notice. Parking is a bit limited near the resort and fills up by mid-morning, so if you're planning on going you can either arrive early or just walk, the city isn't that large.

This place was incredible! All these years I thought it was just for skiing, but there so much more in the summer time! Definately going back soon.

The mountain bike trails at Big Sky were phenomenal. The staff was helpful, pointing out routes I might take and helping setup the rental bike. Perhaps most impressive was the fact that they run THREE lifts in the summer to access the network of trails.

Awesome place for skiing and summer fun. Bike riding, Zip lining, and lots of kids stuff. Can ride 3 chair lifts in summer with awesome views. 30 chairs in winter. On website it claims that you can get to lone peak for the chair lift price. This is not true though, you have to buy and explorer pass that takes you by open 4x4 to last gondola style lift. The price for excursion was $79 for adults and $49 for kids. I think this is to much. The rate for lifts was $37 for adults and kids under 10 free, witch was fare. So only complaint is misleading website and hi price on an excursion.

A hidden gem that is becoming more and more recognized by skiers and snowboarders. Come check it out, but don't tell your friends. As good as the winter is, my favorite time to be in Big Sky is the summer. Biking trails are amazing, and fishing is some of the best you'll find. Touring the mountain in the summer is awesome by the true meaning of the word. Being next door to Yellowstone National Park makes a nice tour of some fascinating geological features and wildlife viewing as well.

The village center is perfect for an active family looking to enjoy activities year round.

Very nice and convienent rooms. Right on the hill in the middle of everything. Great place to stay and great value.
