Needs updating to match online pictures. Can not get rid of VERY MUSKY SMELL, room STINKS! Waste of our hard earned $$$

Nice people! Great rooms! Love coming here while we are in Branson.

The Grand Plaza Hotel quoted a block of rooms for a school trip and sent a contract for the agreed upon rate. After I had setup cost of trip and communicated with parents, I received an email cancelling my reservations because they didn’t sell only 1 night. This is a problem because I now have the impossible task of finding rooms for a comparable rate. The excuse I was given was “I’m new. ” They were unwilling to fulfill their contract or make an exception to their rule given the mistake on their end. I do not recommend doing any honest business with this hotel as they have proven to be dishonest in their communications.

Then set up is very nice the rooms are very comfortable Even the grab and go breakfast is good, except could have better Orange juice The only problem I have is with the hot tub. The water temperature is not bat recommended temperature for a hot tub and the jets do not work as they should and they have too much chlorine In both hot tub and the pool.

We booked a room here and will never do it again. The smell of bug spray was so overwhelming it made us nauseous. The hot tub was cold and nasty. There was a horrible gas smell by the maintenance room. The guy delivering Coke could also smell it. When we told Hope at the desk, she hatefully stated she didn't know why we smelled gas because they have no gas to their building. Well Hope, what are those 2 gas meters doing outside then? 0 Stars from us.

We stayed at this hotel this past week… for the second time… the first time (a few years ago) was great… this time, the restaurant was closed, the breakfast was a grab and go which wasn't that great. Our room had hair in the tub when we checked in… we asked during mid stay that our bedding be changed and it wasn't until the next day after asking twice. Back in January, we had booked our rooms and asked for adjoining rooms (with my in-laws). When we checked in we were told we can't have adjoining rooms. Also, during our stay, we were on the 8th floor, every morning at 630am (if not earlier) we were woken up by carts being pushed back and forth on the 9th floor. When we mentioned this to the front desk, we were told no one was on the 9th floor. We will not be back at this hotel. Very disappointed in our treatment as Veteran's.

Not worth the money dirty floor along wall on carpet in the room. Must not vacuum all the way around. Tile falling off the wall. Bed us uncomfortable. Website says there was a restaurant there was not using the covid excuse to charge people the same but not have breakfast. Room smelled so bad of mold. Bed was so uncomfortable. Not worth over $100 per the room.

Very quiet rooms, great beds, pretty property. The rooms are large and very clean. Nothing fancy but nice enough. Breakfast was to go boxes due to covid but good (included a muffin, cinnamon roll, apple and apple juice. Hotel rooms cleaned daily and the other staff were super nice! I would definitely stay here again, for the price I think I got a great deal!

This hotel is very quiet and conveniently located to attractions. Could use a renovation no usb outlets available. The bed was like sleeping on a board. The phone rang intermittently throughout the day and night! BUT there’s FREE coffee!

I like the valet parking they are having while they are working on their A/C. The staff is super friendly and rooms are nice and clean.

High priced for the small room we had a King Suite. Humidity in the room even with Ac on floors felt damp and smelt like mildew. Bathroom has fan that doesn't work so your stuff gets wet if it's on the counter. Clean rooms they did have ant hotels in the room. I highly dont recommend Grand Plaza Hotel.

We stayed here with 12 different families this past weekend. Several families had ants in their rooms. Several others rooms smelled of mold. They only had one elevator that worked. The guest laundry service was out of order, we had tons of uniforms to wash so very inconvenient. Upon check in one family was told there was a sex offender staying on site. Lastly on Saturday night the maintenance man shocked the pool while several of our children were swimming. Not once but twice in less than an hour. Many children became sick and had to be taken to the hospital. This hotel should’ve even be allowed to be open at this point. I understand Branson hotels might be a little outdated but these issues were completely unacceptable and disturbing.

Very clean hotel with an amazing view of the city! jacuzi room is amazing… will definitely be my new hotel when I come to Branson… with the kids or just him and I.

Our room is clean and quiet. Staff is friendly. The coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave are nice amenities.

The rooms are so nice and they have a lot to offer!

Very clean and nice especially for covid-19 they are very clean and staff is so nice, their breakfast buffet was closed but they gave us grab and go bags which were great and we are greatful they have that. Our room was very clean and you can smell that the hotel is very clean and your room smells the same very clean. We also love that they have Bible scriptures posted all over the hotel very Beautiful. One of the also great things is at their swimming pool does not close until midnight so it does give you time to swim.

Room was dirty had food in the couch /bed. They didn’t clean the fridge or bath To expensive for 2 dirty rooms.

Paid extra for a jacuzzi room, the jacuzzi didn’t even work. It was too late in the evening to have people in to fix so I didn’t report until next morning at check out. The clerk asked if I reported, told her no due to time of night. She said ok I will put in maintenance work order. Never offered to refund difference in room since tub was not in working order. Will not stay here again or recommend.

The Hotel was clean, the day staff was excellent, the evening desk staff not very client friendly. Our room and actually the floor itself had a very bad smell, the floor in our room felt wet. The day shift really tried to fix the problem, but we just accepted that it was not a quick fix. Our pp that was assigned to our room, never cleaned the bathroom, I left the mirror for two days to see if they would clean it, never happened. So I questioned them, only then did it get cleaned, we left tips also so not sure if the hotel knows but they need pp to do a good job for them. The gal on the 9th floor who works the bar is awesome, a very kind, and good worker. I think if they fix these things it would be five stars.

Nice hotel. Beds are not as comfortable as I like, but they were ok. Breakfast was awesome and well stocked. Good quality soaps and shampoo were very conveniently in pump containers mounted on wall.

Love love love the Jacuzzi rooms here. We stayed for an anniversary early in our marriage, and have returned for another anniversary. Always a pleasure to stay here. Friendly staff, comfy rooms, Great location. Would highly recommend, and plan to stay here again for another special occasion. ;)

Nice hotel, convenient to everything. The breakfast was very well attended to. I appreciate the Shampoo etc dispensers. Also sugar dispensers etc reducing the use of single serve items and waste. Friendly staff.

Centrally located, friendly staff. The rooms are a little run down and there was a dirty splatter on the wall. The bathroom had a cut out for a vent fan but no ducting ran to it or an exhaust fan (there was also no window in the bathroom so it's like they cut the hole to show the inspector they intended to put one in to pass inspection but never did, so it's not to code even). All the caulk around the fixtures in the bathroom has been removed or was never there and theres a water leak in the ceiling. After the first night our room smelt musty and like cat urine, so that was great. Pool is not heated either. Buffet breakfast was great though.

Very nice hotel, albeit a bit shabby around the edges. Not updated but still quite clean, customer service was good from everyone I met and the free breakfast was very generous and delicious. The rooms and beds were comfy, the TV large and there was a mini fridge. One star lost for the funky parking. I know that's not something you can change at this point but if you check in late, know that decent parking, close to the hotel will be scarce.

Terrible stay, don't waste your time with big fancy hotels. Had this place reserved for 5 of my 6 nights in Branson. Room service never came my first full day, came the second day but didn't leave any toilet paper. Shower curtain was way too tall for the shower, layed about 5 inches into the bathtub creating a slip hazard. Biggest problem was everything in the room was damp, nothing would dry. So much moisture in the air with no air movement. 4 of us showering with no exhaust fan then coming back to the room wet from swimming and wet from doing things on the strip could not get anything dry. Had a beach towel hanging up for 72 hours and still wasn't dry entire room was musty every piece of paper in the room was full of moisture. Checked out 2 days early and went back to the $57/night motel I stayed in my first night here.

We basically liked the hotel including breakfast, although the food, etc. Was packed up by 9:40, so go to eat with plenty of extra time. I would have preferred a larger refrigerator and freezer. Work needs to be done to the surface of the indoor pool. We liked the size of the pool, but more than one of us got cut by the sharp surface edges. I have a scrape on my foot from 6 days ago that is still healing. I probably would have given the hotel a 4 except for the sharp pool surface and the tiny refrigerator. However I was grateful for at least that and help with the rollaway.

The Grand Plaza was well worth the money we spent. Well located near tons of shows and other attractions. A nice restaurant with breakfast buffet included with our stay. My only complaint was although we had a non-smoking room, it smelled of cigarettes to me. I felt as if the smoke was being sucked in through the air conditioning, as smokers stand at the entrances. Not sure why it smelled that way. I loved the convenience of the dispensers located in the shower. Shampoo, conditioner and even the Dial body wash I use at home. Overall very nice.

While the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was very good, I have never been to a hotel less deserving of the title “Grand Plaza”. The amenities were absolute trash. The workout room had one treadmill, one stair stepper, and a broken stationary bike. The pool was two hours late to open for routine cleaning, and the whole place had ants. The staff was happy to provide any traps, but nonetheless, the place was entirely lackluster.

Comfortable beds. Clean room. Only complaint is the hot water goes from warm to really hot while your showering. Great breakfast. Nice staff.

Hotel smells musty upon entry. Our shower had mold. Staff were attentive. Pool and hot tub are worth going to hot tub jets don't work properly. Quite at night which was a plus.

My only complaint is the room the pool sits in is unbelievably hot. I know it's a little petty but sitting in that room while the kids swam was unbearable. Other than that the trip was amazing. The breakfast was way better than we expected. The rooms were very clean. Love the fact that they have a 2 room suite. One of the restrooms had a jetted tub. The staff was super friendly.

Me and my wife stayed here on our honeymoon. The room was fantastic and they have the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Also they gave us a discount on our room for our honeymoon. Thank you for making our visit a memorable one.

I'm sure there are way worse places to stay but I haven't stayed in one yet. The beds are hard the comforter is basically a quilted sheet and the pillows are some rare breed of flat couch pillow. The air conditioner sounds like its driving down train tracks. The breakfast buffet is 3 waffle makers, powdered eggs and biscuits. The indoor pool is nice as long as there aren't more than 5 people in that ridiculous echo chamber. It does have a great view though… as long as you're on the 9th floor at the garbage breakfast buffet or the overpriced bar.

We try to always book this hotel when coming to Branson. They are very clean and the breakfast is always fresh and so yummy. The service is great and the people are nice. If you need help they don't hesitate to make your stay easier. If you need directions they point you the right way and if they don't know an answer to something they find a way to get your questions answered and get back with you as soon as possible. The pool and hot tub are kept very nice and stocked with towels as well.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at the Grand Plaza. It proved to be a super convenient location for us — the back entrance helps you get around Branson without having to take Hwy 76. It's less than 10 minutes to just about anywhere you'd want to go. We found ourselves able to stop in to change clothes or grab something in between shows and outings. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is a huge plus! Be sure to bring a power strip and/or extension cord as there were hardly any electric outlets in our room. Outside of that, I have only good things to say about this hotel!

It's clean and the breakfast was good. Friendly staff and maintenance personnel. The beds were a little hard for my taste, but you have to expect that for a commercial mattress application. Pillows were soft though.

Hot breakfast. Not just the regularmake your own waffle and bland stuff. But biscuits and gravy and fresh eggs and sausage. The hotel rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms are spacious. The pool and hot tub are nice, the pool is just the right temperature.

The room was clean but very very small & dated. Weird smells throughout hotel. Bed seems like a full size not queen at all. The staff were courteous (best part) and helpful except at breakfast they started packing up breakfast earlier than it said. Feeling rushed. Food was good. Not crazy about 100 people using 5 waffle makers. Breakfast was hot and was included and that was a bonus. Elevators are slow and again you have to take the stairs if your tired of waiting. That was horrible when everyone goes to breakfast in the morning. That would be the reason I would not return.

This hotel was pretty great the staff was so friendly and amazing! The room and bathroom were Very clean. View was amazing from our hotel room. The breakfast was simply amazing and keep good hot food!

My experience was wonderful! I highly recommend a jacuzzi suite. Comfy beds. The free breakfast is really good! My husband and I said we will definitely be going back. We usually opt for higher end hotels, but since this place had a jacuzzi, we decided to try. Definitely worth it! Central location to everything Branson.

This was a VERY nice Hotel. The rooms were standard but nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was off the hook! Never have I stayed at a hotel that had this kind of buffet for breakfast. Unfortunately, my husband and I were not able to enjoy all the accommodations at while staying here but what we did use was very nice. The pool and hot tub was nice. We peeked in on the weight room and a game room. They have a full service restaurant and a bar. They are located in a central location. A great place to stay. If you can't do stairs or hills, park on backside of hotel.

We almost canceled our booking because of some of the bad reviews, I am glad we didn't. First the motel was very clean and the staff was friendly at the front desk and all the housekeeping. They have several luggage carts right at the door to help get all your luggage to your room which was a huge help. There is parking on a big hill, but they also have free valet parking so if you can't walk up you could use that. They have a nice indoor pool with a cardio room, bathrooms, vending and hot tub all right there also. They have pool towels which helps and they kept all this stocked and cleaned. They also have vending machines on all the floors. We loved the breakfast buffet. It has eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles and many more items, my husband is very picky about breakfast and he loved it. Our rooms were nice and clean and the only bad thing I can say is the bed was to hard for me. I could feel the springs with my hand but upon laying on it I did not feel them, but the plus side the pillow were very nice. I def would give this motel a try for yourself as we did, because we def was not disappointed and are planning on staying here again. Only advice to motel is maybe get a softer mattress.

Awful customer service. Got hung up on when I questioned the extra $150 charge for "smoke in the room". Returned & was told the room had been deep cleaned in 20 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous for a over night get away.

Nice hotel. Pool stayed open until 12 which was nice most close at 9 or 10. Room was smaller than I thought it would be. Bed was suppose to be queen more like a double though. Great breakfast!

The indoor pool was a plus, but it was highly chlorinated. The hotel offers a lot of on-site amenities including a restaurant and a nice bar. We'd definitely go back.

Incredibly helpful conference center. They completely went the extra mile to help out for our wedding reception. I've worked with multiple event venues and it stands in stark contrast to the other venue's customer service. I've helped plan 23 weddings, but I've never planned my own. All I know is in all my experiences dealing with multiple venues in multiple states, these guy were great!

Rooms were nice. Staff was friendly for the most part. Our room was near the service elevator and things got very noisy about 4 am when the staff started working on breakfast. Breakfast was great! This is a good place to stay, but ask for a room away from the service elevator unless you like to wake early.

Very nice beds & super pool. Staff could be a little more knowledgeable & friendlier. No real problems tho. 3 stars only because there could be some improvement. Breakfast was OK since it was included.

From the very beginning the experience was great. We typically ONLY stay in the Hilton on the Landing but decided to switch it up this time. Parking could be a challenge, but the hotel was more than willing to Valet your vehicle free of charge. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a centrally located, well priced hotel!

Thought the hotel was very clean and nice. All the employees courteous and helpful. Breakfast setup and buffet well done and kept replenished with hot fresh food. Tables were promptly cleaned so others could sit and eat. Thank you to all for an enjoyable visit.

Very good hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast, and a great staff. Fantastic location. Only downside is parking, especially the lower lot. The hill and steps are a killer especially in the heat. I would stay here again.

I would not recommend this hotel parking is terrible and the rooms are some what cleaned the peop;le at the desk are very helpful but we had my wallet stolen from the room w we asked at the desk if somebody turned it in and was told no so I had to cancel all of our cards and driver license went back two days later still it wasn't turned in now we have to get all new medical cards too and I have cancer so all my health records are in it they where no help when ask to call the police had to do it all our selves.

Called ahead to say we would be arriving late and was told it was no problem. Get there and parking lot is horrible. Have to wait 15 minutes for the person at the front desk to appear. He was then rude and made my wife feel uncomfortable. We get up to our room and none of the keys work. Had to wait another 15 minutes to see the worker again who proceeded to try and make me feel like an idiot for "not knowing how to open the door. " We were offered NO reimbursement or help or even apologies. Will not stay here again.

Housekeeper (male) walked in our room when we hadn't checked out, 3 hours before our checkout time, while my significant other was nude in the room. Need better system for identifying rooms where they know the difference between rooms that are empty versus rooms that have customers still inside.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was really good and the staff was so on top of there game, keeping everything fresh and filled with so many people to feed they really had everything filled and clean. They had plenty of workers to clear off your table or help you. Rooms were nice a little small for four women lol but still nice. (they saved me a lot of money being able to eat breakfast here). Beds were fine. The only thing you can even complain about is the major hill you have to walk up from the parking but they can't help that:) I would stay again!

I would not recommend this hotel. Parking is a mess and our experience has been since we arrived last night. When we arrived at our hotel and checked into our room it had not been serviced. The top blanket was simply placed over two dirty beds that have been slept in. One of the beds even contain blood on the sheets. The staff immediately came up and gave us new bedding one of the staff was upset that she had to do it since it wasn't her job and the other was very kind and helpful. She did bring a new sheet with her however it was stained so she went and got another one even though I told her I didn't mind I could tell it was a clean sheet that simply contained stains. Anyway, she brought a third sheet and this sheet contained a bunch of holes in it she insisted on going and getting another one but I would not allow it since it was perfectly fine and I didn't care if a clean sheet had holes in it. After explaining the situation in detail to the general manager he simply responded with an apology email. Since I've worked in the hospitality industry for eight years now I'm truly surprised that no type of service recovery was even offered. It wouldn't have mattered what it was, but it would have prevented me from writing these reviews and I will continue to write them on several sites I truly can't believe that he didn't try to make the situation right by simply offering us a complimentary lunch or dinner.

I was really pleased with my stay at the Grand Plaza. Everything seems very nice and we'll taken care of. We did not use the pool and hot tub or the workout room but we did go look at them and everything was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was great, close to everything and easy to get to. We will definitely stay again.

Parking was difficult since the hotel is on a hill. The shower water fluctuated between hot and cold. Elevators too slow and full. Unable to sleep well because of some kind of rolling noise. Food was fair (powdered eggs? ). We will not return. Bought this hotel as a package. We will continue to use another hotel chain.

We got the King Jacuzzi Room. Every thing would have been perfect. But we had a problem with ants in our room. The ants were all over the desk, end tables, walls, bath and jacuzzi tub, and even in our bed. A maintaince came to spray but It did not help at all. The food on the 9th floor was good. Also. We had a problem with the elevators. We usually had to wait 10-15 min to get on one because they were so full. The 2 elevators need to be bigger for the size of the hotel.

Service was poor. The hot tub was green with floating particles. They were all out of towels and never replenished them while we were there.

First impression was okay. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. But my second day staying here, I found ants in my bed. Called up to the front desk and they were EXTREMELY rude, but allowed me to switch rooms. Took a shower and laid down and I found another ant in my bed! I am discussed. Ruined my whole trip.

The location was perfect. Rooms were clean and the description of the rooms was on point. Staff was nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back again.

The service, location, and quality of this hotel are great. What puts it over the top to being absolutely fantastic is the breakfast buffet on the 9th floor overlooking Branson.

We actually rented some cabins affiliated with the hotel. So we have access to the pool at the hotel. We went to swim a few times. And the front desk was polite and quick with any questions I had. Also it was christmad eve!, very nice.

Room was clean, bed was firm — we liked it. Not high quality bedding. Older hotel, 90s feel, we expect a nicer hotel. The bar at the top was nothing spectacular, bare minimum.

Hard beds, thin blankets and terrible breakfast. The staff here was very friendly and helpful and gave us extra blankets that we could pile them on the bed for extra comfort. I must repeat, the staff here was really awesome and great. We had a Jacuzzi suite with a king bed so maybe the queen beds are softer but I don't know. The king beds were so horrible and you could feel the springs on your body as you slept. There was 0 water pressure on the 8th floor and you could barely get any hot water. The jacuzzi suites look out to the south which is the top of a building and some street lights and the north side is the beautiful countryside so that was kind of a bummer when we were spending extra money for a jacuzzi suite. The internet here was decent enough to hook up my Roku and stream some netflix while in the jacuzzi so that was nice at least. If you can sleep anywhere then maybe this is the hotel for you, but if you have a sensitive back might want to look elsewhere.
