“Local” events is what keeps businesses afloat. Without “local” events they’d have no one coming into Sikeston to patronize their hotel … but “local” money isn’t good enough?!
Will never receive my business or my out of town family’s business! 😠

I really appreciate how nice destiny was to us at the front desk when we were checking in. This makes a huge difference in when I'm deciding on which hotel to choose from.

Clean reception area, friendly staff, Covid safety in place, large room that was very clean. A little ways off of main highways but close to Walmart and many restaurants.

It's. Up to date. And the staff is really friendly. Nice place to stay.

It's convenient for shopping and dining. Plenty of shopping opportunity for travelers too and fuel.

I randomly pulled over here on a cross-country road trip. The hotel was very nice. Very clean, awesome staff, and affordable. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stop this is it. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was great.

First room assigned had red stains on carpet plus very strong cologne smell. 2nd room had stained carpets but was able to sleep with kids running upstairs the whole night.

Wi-Fi was super slow and our meeting was interrupted multiple times due to a poor Wi-Fi system. Speed and connectivity were just terrible. Hotel was nice though.

Very clean with helpful staff. Broke a button and they were super quick to find a sewing kit late at night. Breakfast is always good too. Rooms are dependably clean, but our carpet did have a faint red stain.

Would get very it a 5 but what should have been a simple informational exchange with the afternoon manager turned into something quite ugly and confrontational. She was at first " too busy" to talk to my travel weary and sick 81 yr old husband. His original intention was only to let her know how frustrated we were spending 45 min looking for this hotel because they moved 4 years ago and GPS insisted we go to the old location. He didn't want anyone else to go through that. He didn't need lectures, snide remarks and her personal history of her husband's truck and his GPS. Making remarks as he walked away didn't help either. Let's just cut to the chase, I've worked with the public and management for years. The customer, client, guest is always "right", even when you know better. Listening respectfully and taking a couple minutes to do so pays big dividends. We'll never be back and maybe this Lady needs to return to Motel 6 from wince she says she came. If you don't care how you are treated, then it is a lovely place some what difficult to drive into ad it is hidden and you have to look behind a vacant and derelict motel to see it from the highway, then wind your way back and around stores and a restaurant. Sikeston is halfway between home and one of our normal destinations, but we'll choose somewhere else next time. Our room was lovely and clean. It is an updated place. They have a small indoor pool and ice machines work. Linen was clean and fresh.

This was an excellent motel. Super clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend this motel.

Hotel was easy to find. Nice, clean rooms. No problem giving us a late check out. Friendly staff.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express location for a mini vacation and really enjoyed ourselves! The hotel looked new and felt very clean. Our daughter loved the indoor pool! We will definitely stay at this location again.

Very professional service and excellent rooms. In town for business and they make it as comfortable as possible. Great selection for breakfast as well.

Our room was not fully cleaned when we got in there. One of the beds was still unmade. We offered to change the bedsheets ourselves and they went ahead and gave us a 20%+ discount on our rate. Breakfast was good and the kids were happy with some cinnamon rolls.

Not good, which is surprising because I have not had a problem in the past. Bathtub was dirty, floor was dirty, fingernail clippings on the bathroom floor, and stains all over the carpet. For the $160 rate it was a complete rip off. I travel from Michigan to Texas at least 6 times a year and this was the worst Holiday Inn yet. Definitely not worth the rate.

Coming in the young lady at the desk was awesome but the issue came when I got back to the room later that night … got into bed and there was a bug crawling on me … the next morning told the assistant general manager and she sort of brushed me off, told me to go get the bug if there was one and when I found it I found a few bugs in the room… I think I was fairly patient with the hotel considering I didn’t sleep well that night but it took about 2 weeks to get resolved … sorry to say but I will never stay at another Holiday Inn due to this experience at this one … management wasn’t understanding and then the general manager of the place told me if I am back in Sikeston ever again do not stay at her hotel! I am very disappointed in this establishment.

Very nice comfortable rooms! The breakfast was amazing … the attendant Priscilla did such a great job of keeping everything so fresh and presentable… very friendly. This one is a hit for us!

Hotel was very nice but service wasn't as good as other Holiday Inn Expresses that I've been at.

Nice stay overall. First time stay at this property. Not sure what the competition is, but highway billboard advertises it as a new hotel… recently renovated maybe? Rate seems high. Will look elsewhere next trip through due to rate.

Fantastic stay. A great road trip stop. We were a walk-in customer and stayed in room 203 which felt clean and we'll maintained. The breakfast was good as far as express hotels go: eggs, bagels, cereal, and a chobani yogurt bonus. Overall a great experience. While looking for a hotel we called around as we drove. We settled on this hotel and tried calling back — we ended up getting on the phone with the corporate booking office — they felt oddly pushy about the loyalty program and the room. After saying we would just book when we arrived the salesman hung up on us. If you are booking with Holiday Inn Express & Suites I recommend calling the hotel directly.

Clean, nicely decorated, and reasonably priced. Breakfast provided, friendly front desk staff. Zero complaints! Very nice!

Let me preface this by saying that apparently I'm out of touch with what has transpired in the hotel business over the past few years. I've been retired for sometime now and the vast majority of our stays are one night affairs as we're driving cross country to visit family. To make a long story short, I don't normally call for a reservation until I'm one to two hours from where I want to stop for the night based on on traffic, how tired I am and etc. This time I was looking at my preferred route, the weather forecast for that part of the country and decided to make a reservation at the Sikeston, MO property. Traffic and weather conspired to put us ahead of schedule and we were going to arrive about 2:30 pm which in my world is way too early to stop for the day so I called to cancel my reservation. I was told that the policy was that cancellations within 24 hours of the arrival date essentially we're not acceptable and that I would be charged for the room anyway. Not being rich I can't afford to throw away $134+ so decided to stay even if it meant really having to push farther the next day through the bad weather that arrived later than forecast. If you're still reading and haven't gone to sleep yet I guess the point is that hotel reservation policies do little to protect or convenience the traveling public like us who still enjoys driving cross country so we can see the sights and are meant primarily to assure hotel properties don't chance losing a night's room revenue.

Nice and friendly place. Left a few items in room and we called the next day. The service people actually turned them in to front desk and when we called they knew exactly what we were talking about and shipped them back to us the next day.

Clean room. 1st priority. Quiet. Nice breakfast. Wi-Fi was strong. Great nights sleep.

Not a bad hotel at all to say at, the breakfast was delicious. They had a good selection not just one or two items and they were made fresh So they were not sitting out for an hour or two before you got to them if you went to breakfast late. They do not have the latest renovation Style but they are a fairly new hotel only a few years old and are still well kept. The staff will help to solve any issues that may arise with your stay.

Amazing Service, Delicious Food and Abundant Space for cheap!

I ordinarily like staying at HI Express hotels. This one is a little off. The location is fantastic, close to downtown, shopping, food, etc. It's a relatively new hotel, but the fixtures are either cheap, or were installed poorly. The shower is not up to par, The TV stations they list on the little card that comes with the room never match what you actually have, and if you call the front desk you get some story about how the TVs reset themselves. Housekeeping is odd-I can't put my finger on it, but they never seem to do anything other than make your bed, and I'm pretty sure they don't change your linens when you ask (based on the pen marks on the linens) … if you leave a tip, its worse… I've found dust rags and other stuff just left around my room. I just reported an issue with the Wi-Fi to the front desk. I was just told that the problem is on my end. I've been here over a week. I've not had any problems until tonight, even thru the month-end change in security code. I'm done trying to fix anything, now I just put the DND on the door and hope to make it thru my trip. Oh. And breakfast is rarely out at 6 a. M. As advertised, so those of us who work have to go buy it a McDonald's across the street.

Hotel is nice. Location is convenient. Clean and modern. Parking is decent. Gym is small, and treadmill was broke.

The staff was so fun about sharing the eclipse excitement with the guests. The room was perfect. The breakfast was good.

I would recommend this place to anyone I meet! My daughters and I stayed here 4th of July weekend and it was amazing! The front desk staff, the breakfast staff and housekeeping was absolutely professional! The room was super clean, the bathroom was immaculate and I loved the indoor pool! If I could give them 10 stars ✨ I totally would! Can't wait to stay here again.

Internet was middling. Stable, but low-bandwidth. Some of the staff was nice, and the he free breakfast in the morning is great. The temperature controls in the gym did not work, it was very hot. There was no water in the gym, either. The water dispenser needed to be refilled, and the front desk clerks knew nothing about it. I needed a towel and washcloth to shower in the morning, and the maid service working on my floor told me they weren't able to get me any, and directed me to go to the front desk to get it. A big strike against them for that one. There are few other minor things, like the toilet not working well, and some other issues of disrepair in the room. Also, the fitted sheet for the pull-out bed was too small, and we didn't have any pillows.

Excellent experience at Holiday Inn Express, Sikeston MO! Clean, lovely room, excellent breakfast, convenient to shops and restaurants, friendly service; they even provided free shaving cream when I forgot to pack mine. Bravo, H. I. Express!

Did not enjoy this hotel pool heater broken so they closed it, at breakfast food was not good at all turkey bacon and sausage only skim milks, the lady making the food was singing at the top of her lungs and at 8 am do you think I want to hear that, not at all room was not the cleanest for being a newer hotel. Would not recommend at all.

Staff was extremely friendly from the time I checked in to the time I walked out. Helpful with resolving my absentmindedness. Very clean and neat hotel.

I found a bed bug. I'm sure bed bugs are common and hard to manage for a hotel. I left a note for the manager to call me with a bed bug taped to it. She didn't call me I had to call her, when I did talk to her she said she couldn't confirm anything was or wasn't a bed bug but she'd have look at it and call me back… She never called back. I stayed there all week and found it the second to last night there. Trying to be helpful and limit contamination I suggested I stay in the same room. They never did anything for me. Gross!

My stay at the Holiday Inn Sikeston was very enjoyable. The rooms a were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was always good.
