In the last three weeks, we have travelled from Idaho to the Oregon Coast, to CO, OK, TX, TN and back to TX and stayed in 9 different hotels. This one is by far the best priced, well-accommodating, pet friendly hotel we’ve encountered. The staff was friendly, and the room was extremely clean & well furnished. Wish we would’ve been able to stay in a Candlewood at all our destinations along the way. 10/10

Like how well the room is cleaned and the air conditions is really cold and they have the little kitchen area.

Very great place to stay, quiet, and clean. Was there for LIL ladies motorcycle rally. Great customer service from desk help. Enjoyed my three night stay.

Absolutely the most amazing staff here in Texarkana and at the Candlewood in Springfield, IL. They were all over-the-top kind! Rooms were very clean. Rates are fantastic and you get your own kitchen!
I usually stay at Hilton properties where prices keep going up while service, upkeep and friendliness are dropping.

Front desk was horrible! I called the front desk twice around 12AM to make a reservation there was no answer so I called the main reservation line, made a reservation gave them my credit card and got a confirmation number. We arrived at the hotel about 2 a. M. The hotel doors were locked so I had to pick up the phone and call… There was no answer at the front desk so then I was starting to get irritated the guy finally came to the door. (We believe he was sleeping) and proceeded to tell me I had to wait 30 minutes before I could get checked in because he did not see our reservation and he was doing a night audit at this point I was beyond pissed. Other than that the hotel was great nice rooms the double beds felt more like twin beds. Check out went great, but my initial thought was I will never go back to ANY IGH hotels.

Stayed 8 17 18 room was great but they never said anything at all about an authorization charge that we were not planning on and didn't come out until 2 DAYS LATER! AFTER WE HAD ALREADY LEFT! SOMETHING SHADY ABOUT THIS PLACE!

We had an amazing visit from beginning to end! The front desk staff was so warm and welcoming throughout our visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Texarkana area.

Amazing place and an amazing deal. Since it's an extended stay, plan ahead and bring your own food and hygiene items (although they do have shampoo, body soap, and conditioner). This is one of the most well kept and comfortable hotel rooms I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in some expensive hotel rooms.

Great, prompt service. Fixed minor problems immediately. Friendly staff.

Love the hotel the room was beautiful, high ceilings. Love the fact they are pet friendly but the need more parking for trailers. We had to park across the street at the Hilton garden inn. Other than the parking we had no complaints.

An older look, smell, and feel, at this one management was sorely lacking. Our refrigerator did not give ice, the room phone didn't work and the light were supposedly on automated that didn't function No hot breakfast…

Nice basic suites. This hotel is best for a longer stay than one or two nights. Setup of the suite with kitchenette is perfect for a week long stay.

I love visiting here especially when in need of a Spiritual Sabbatical. Such a peaceful environment. And most of all, I love Ms. JO!

Decent place for the price. Guest services were very polite. The building felt older, and the room could have been cleaner (found a giant spider while trying to close the curtains, stains on the bedspread and bathroom walls, etc).

Loved it. Check in was quick. The only problem I had was limited parking. We were hauling a uhaul trailer and had to park across the street. But the room was great.

The room was really nice and super comfortable. I was suprised they provided cooking utensils such as pots, pans, tea making, blender, pretty much any cooking utensil you would need. Even glass bowls, plates, and forks and spoons. Staff was extremely friendly. Was absolutely surprised they had a huge selection of snacks and other accommodations, very reasonable prices. They even had a shelf in the main lobby full of different board games, card games, puzzles, more kitchen electronics for any guest to come and borrow for entertainment. They also had a nice workout room with a laundry room at no charge.

When booking we asked for a room on first floor that was handicap and were told they could accommodate our needs. Upon chexk ok ng in we were given a handicap room on the top (4th) floor at the end of the hall as far away from the elevator and front door as you could possible get. Our loved one struggled greatly to get to the room. The bathroom was also supposed to be handicapped, but had a regular tub instead.

This was the worst hotel that I have ever been to. The bed was not made there were linens piled in a chair. There were no towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo. Nothing was in the bathroom. The bathroom had not been cleaned. No coffee. There were electronic boxes laying on table, along with extra phone. The place was a mess. I will never stay at this hotel again and could never recommend it to anyone.

The room was very clean, but the toilet took forever to flush. Wish they had complimentary breakfast but for the price, I can't really complain. At least there was Wi-Fi.

I evacuated from Houston with my dog and my a baby. My husband called ahead and double checked they had a room ready when I got there before 3. When I got there I had to wait for a room. My room was no longer available and not what my husband reserved. Room was musty and also there were people banging on doors in the hallway every night and loud TVs. My dog kept finding cockroaches in the room. When I brought it up to management they brushed it off. I then asked to borrow a vaccumm, they told me housekeeping would be there in a free minutes. 3 hours later nothing and housekeeping never came in. They say they want to take care of your every need, that's not true, if you ask for something or tell them something you dislike that you're paying for, you're being an inconvenience to them. I'll never go back and I'll probably never go back to a candle wood suites ever. That experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Very kind and quiet people. You never have to go tell them that you need something because the room has like everything you need. They have like a mini store, laundry room and a exercise room. There was a kitchen in the room with the things you may need. Restroom is so clean and nice. Also Wi-Fi, a nice comfy seat, desk with a comfy wheelie chair, the pillows are squishy and its just good here.

The worst hotel stay I have had in a long time. The bed was hard as a rock and is obviously made for a elf. I'm only 5'5" and my feet are hanging off the end. It's not a queen or a twin. It's like those beds in Dillards showroom. The recliner was torn to pieces. They had to bring me a new chair. The air conditioner rattled all night. As I was watching TV all the lights just turned off. I stood up and they came back on. Did this every 20 minutes. I tried to figure out how to stop it but to no avail it kept happening. At 11pm I went or the desk to ask how to fix the problem but the same employee that wouldn't move me was still there. I just went back to my room. This morning I woke up to ants all over the desk. Bates Motel had more to offer.

When we entered our room there was a pizza left behind from the people before us. The hotel is pet-friendly which is a nice amenity. The beds are also decently sized for the price.

The staff here was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room was clean and we slept comfortably. Thank you for making our stay here enjoyable.

Amazing rooms, phenomenal service-oriented hotel! Workers were extremely helpful and there were plenty of amenities. I have never stayed at such a high-quality hotel for the price. Very impressed.

Loved this place! The rooms were very clean and the beds were so soft… the check easy and the lady at the front desk was friendly and efficient! Will stay here again! I highly recommend this place.

We made reservations for there yesterday to stay. The two young ladies that were there greeted us an made us feel right at home,, they were very polite,, friendly an fell in love with our baby whitch is a Shi Shu. Just letting you know that they were excellent…

We were in town to be with my dad who was departing this life in St. Michael's hospital across the way and the staff bent over backwards to take very good care of us! Wish we hadn't spent the first two nights at a competitor! Thanks and God bless.

Had a meeting in Texarkana! When I got here I didn't think the outside was as nice as the others, so I drove around and got prices from the other 3! They where all over 100 dollars for why night. So since on a budget I decided to take the one room with the queen bed! For 70.00 and I'm glad I did! The room was perfect super clean! The Guy who checked me in was super easy to deal with and very respectful! The rooms where updated! The bed was comfy for being a hotel bed! To sum it up I had a great stay! Will deffenty choose this one again when I'm In the area! The only probably I encountered was the elevator being slow! This is probably just me being impatient! Thank you candlewood for the great stay!

I stayed here for two months. It's a really nice place. The staff is not people oriented. Keep an eye on your billing…

This has to be the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to the room I stayed in had red bugs & flees crawling all over the mattress & pillows I woke up at 2 am with bite marks from head to toe I went down stairs with a pillow in my hand to show the gentleman working the night shift he politely apologized & gave me a new room!

Clean bright lobby with really friendly staff. The rooms were also very clean and accommodating.

My husband daughter & I have been staying here for the past 7 months & will continue to be here another 3 months or so, the rooms are perfect, they do a full clean once a week & another semi clean later on in the week, some house keeping people need to improve thier cleaning efforts, & keeping clean the washing machine well (which sometimes are not) & the owner needs to stop being so cheap with all the money he gets & buy his house keepers actually pads meant for the swiffer not just a dirty old rag looking thing to clean floors, free dinner every Wednesday, need extra towels toliet paper etc just ask the front office everyone is really nice, also the owner needs to have extra comforters available so when guest who's been here a while wants to change them out can, Maintenance has always came to my room if needed never told ever they would not send them, stove didn't work they switched us rooms, rooms do not smell bad, its a nice homey feeling hotel, (trust me we travel alot, construction family) beside house keeping that slacks which I personally can clean my own room & owners cheap on cleaning supply, everything else is fine!

The allure of this place is cook at home. If stove top doesn't work what good is it. Told Monday it didn't work. Thursday no stove top.

Very nice hotel for extended stay. Everything you need is there. Needs longer shower curtain though.

Pleasant staff. Serve a complimentary dinner every Wednesday with is awesome.

This place is awful. The staff could give two craps about you or anything to do with you. My first night was supposed to be a double and I was left outside for an hour because the system was down to only get another hour wait while the kid at thr desk figured out how to give us a room key. By the way it was to a single… I went down to get another room and was told that was the only room left… Now ive since gotten a new room been here 3 days with no room service or working tv. I keep telling the front desk and they tell me I need to change the channel and that mantinence wont be coming by to fix it.

I love staying here, its roomy clean and if you have a long stay its like a minnie apt. Nice refrigerator and stove top and eating area. The only draw back for us was there was no pool and my granddaughter travels with us and she loves to stay where there is a pool. If it wasn't for that this is where I would stay every time! They also have a small grocery area and a place to get things like games, videos for the kids to use for free.

I was lodged here for 3 months or so and I really did enjoy my stay. You honestly couldn't ask for a better set up. Nice rooms, nice staff, free laundry and Wi-Fi. What more could you ask for?

Called to see about a pet friendly room. This place want $50 a night per pet. Everywhere I have stayed has been $10 this is a rip off.

Stayed there under a company reservation. They billed my card (which they insisted on having) instead of the company. One month later and the billing error is still not resolved even though both the company and myself have made multiple attempts to get them to fix their error.

When I first checked in, even though I had paid for rhe room in full in advance, they demanded my credit card and immediately placed a $25 charge on it for "incidentals", they said. Then they made a photocopy of my drivers license and credit card, saying that it was "in case of damage or further incidentals"! When I finally arrived at the room, it stank terribly of moldy carpet and stale alcohol. I complained, and they moved me to a room which didn't smell quite so bad, but the bed spread was still very damp. I strongly advise anyone against staying at this hotel! My grade: D minus.

I stayed there for 3 months in 2011, and it was one of the best places I ever stayed, the staff is exceptional, we were treated like family, I highly recommend this hotel.
