My kids and I stayed here two summers ago. Love it! Everyone was great, from check in to last day! Will definitely be coming back, HIGHLY recommend. The night guy even threw my clothes in dryers for me! Didn’t even ask. Met Manager and assistant, lovely Ladies and sincerely nice.

This place is terrible. Worst customer service I have seen. They made us wait for hours to clean a room. Go else where. This place sucks. The owner obviously doesn’t care about it.

Amazing staff, super clean!

The staff here is amazing. I’m greeted by name and that makes the customer service connection A1. Jermaine who works at the front desk always knows me by name, and he knows my room preferences so I don’t have to ask. Jermaine calls 10 minutes after I’m in my room to make sure my room is up to standard. Tay also gives great hospitality and if I need to add a night she makes it easy for me. They have great amenities as well. I love my experience here at Courtyard Marriot! I highly recommend it.

I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at this hotel, it is very nice and very helpful and amazing staff. Thank you all for making me feel welcomed and right at home. :)

Our stay was short lived but we definitely enjoyed our time here! Friendly staff, clean rooms with the most comfortable bed, nice big walk-in shower. Free shuttle to and from both casinos that runs every hour and half hour, nice pool/lounge area! They even serve Starbucks coffee We will definitely be back ❤

If you don't have time to read my entire review, let me help you by just saying stay at this hotel if you are willing to spend $140 per night to get horrible service, and be treated unprofessionally and rude by the staff. Sleep on uncomfortable beds and have horrible breakfast experience. We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Lake Charles over the labor day long weekend. We had great experience at check in. We were impressed by the look and cleanliness of overal lobby. Our room was nice and clean. We did notice a few things but didn't bother to mention it to front desk as they weren't big deal. (dirty mirror in the bathroom, hair on the towel and dirty shower floor). The gentleman working night shift on Sunday night was super nice and professional as well. Now our experience with morning front desk staff and the breakfast was horrible. So here is my advice if you book the hotel hoping you get $20 credit for breakfast save your money and go elsewhere. I mean $140 per night is not cheap and you expect to get a decent service. So basically they charge you $140 per night and give you the service of $16 motels. First day of our breakfast (Monday morning) we waited over 35 minutes for our breakfast while noone else was there for them to serve. I wen and asked them about our order after 30 minutes. They noticed that they had totally forgotten about it and just started working on it.

Very clean and modern. Comfortable bed (so much so, I slept in! ). Great water pressure and excellent coffee in Lobby! I love this hotel and wish I could stay longer!

Good alternative to the casinos, with a shuttle service that runs about once an hour. The room was better than expected, with a pullout couch and a fridge. TV cables we all over the place, cable box was hanging in the air with nowhere to go! The shower was unique, pluses and minuses.

Very nice place to stay. Ok Breakfast. Close enough to the casinos and free shuttle that runs til 1:30. Great staff.

Nice. I'm familiar with other Courtyards, and this one holds its own. It's also relatively new, which is good. They do have the funkiest built-ins I've seen in a Marriott — — kind of Pee-Wee's Playhouse meets Jetson's. Bonuses … very close to the Casino (you could walk if you wanted, but I believe there's a shuttle), and you can walk down to the bayou where you can catch some nice views and wildlife in the morning.

Wow, this is one nice hotel! This Marriott looks brand new. It has tons of electrical outlets around the room to charge all of your devices in convenient locations. Everything was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly.

The room had all 3 of the requirements. Clean, Cold and Comfortable. We really only needed to arrive, change clothes and head to a concert. Come back, sleep and shower to hit the road. The bed was very comfy, no lumpy mattress etc. Pillows were just as nice as Hotel Zaza. The big roomy shower was a bonus! ;)

Quality service, quiet rooms. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfy, I can honestly say I slept like a baby! Will definitely return here when I come back for business again.

90 degrees in room & no AC. Hotel booked so no chance of another room.

Attractive decor with Marriott's super comfortable bed! Free shuttle to Golden Nugget and L'auberge casinos. Small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker in room.

Clean, quiet. A great place to rest and relax after your day. Everyone working there was very friendly. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable.

Coming from a Home2 Suites by Hilton, where we stayed the night before while in Gonzales, LA, we were shocked at the size of this room and the attitude of the staff. The room here was probably 1/3 the size of the Home2 Suite. 2 people could not be in the kitchen area at the same time, and the bathroom was 1/3 the size. It was like they put the furniture in, then built around it so there was hardly any space to turn around. It would have been okay, except that the staff's attitude clearly indicated that that this was not where they wanted to be, nor did they take pride in serving people. The kitchen help had just closed the door where the oranges were and when we asked of it was to late to grab an orange we were told "Your to late, breakfast is over. " Wow! Guess this is the last tome well be staying here. Teach us to stray from Hilton!

We were visiting family in Lake Charles for Christmas and stayed in the hotel for eight nights. My in-laws graciously booked the room and were charged $119 per night. I know they don't negotiate prices, but for an eight night stay, they could and should have gotten a better rate, especially since the hotel had low occupancy during the time we were there. That said, we really liked the hotel. It is new, fresh, and clean. No institutionalized cleaning odor hitting you in the face when you walk into the lobby or through the halls. Even though the hotel has been open for about 14-months, the hotel still looks brand new. When we were checking in, I asked that the clerk not assign us to a room that was near the elevator and ice machine. Since the place was empty and we pretty much had the pick of the litter, I was surprised when we went to our room and found it right next to both the ice machine and elevator. The desk clerk moved us to another room that was as far from the elevator and ice machine as possible. Wonder why she didn't do that initially? I'm surprised the owners haven't had the installers of the elevator in to take care of the noise the elevators make. They are some of the noisiest elevators I've heard. The hallways and room were clean and well appointed. The decor in the room is modern. Air conditioning and heat are individually controlled by an in-room thermostat. One thing I found curious is this hotel has zero folding luggage racks in the hotel.

It was absolutely gorgeous and so clean and spacious. The beds were fluffy and so comfortable. Slept like a baby. Will definitely stay here everytime I come to LA.

I have to say the best thing about this hotel is the awesome service we received from Cindi in the bistro… She is definitely an asset to your company!

It's pretty good, but the shower handle was so loose it couldn't stay at the three or nine position… Only straight up or straight down… Uncomfortable temperature. The road outside is tricky to get around, one way and such. Overall it's ok, but had some issues.

It is a pet resort where human companions are allowed. The staff are fairly friendly, and the newness of the property makes it a nice stay. On my 2nd room change and still not really clean.

The Courtyard is relatively new, clean and modern. If three rooms rented, one had an AC unit that would not respond to the thermostat control. ; a bit chilly. Breakst was of good quality, fast service with the exception there is no ice tea available.

I am a very unhappy guest that stayed at this hotel. First of all my husband and I made a note on our account TO NOT HAVE ANY CHARGES ON OUR ROOM! Later on that night we gave permission to only have two fountain sodas and that is all. This was our honeymoon and driving from Maine. We went out to the casino and the kids stayed at our room with my mother in law. Also when we checked in they told my husband and I that there was FREE BREAKFAST! When we went to check out we got a 75 dollar bill for our 4 kids to eat breakfast AFTER WE HAD STATED TO HAVE NO CHARGES TO OUR ROOM. The manager was very rude when I had complained about it and told me to call the 1800 number and complain. Well I'm calling the BBB and I will never stay at another Marriot in my life. This is the second bad experience I have had with the marriot. I highly do not suggest to stay here. Find another hotel cause they will lie and rob you!

Wonderful staff that took care of my mistake in the scheduling of my stay, to begin with. I was too tired to go out to dinner and just went down to the Bistro, where Cindy served me a wonderful flatbread and a glass of wine and hot chocolate chip cookies, which made my day even better! After supper, I was able log in to NETFLIX and watch great movies… what more could you want away from home? I'll be staying here when I'm in Lake Charles if there's a vacancy! Highly recommend!

New and looks nice. The room was very damp and humid the whole time. They said an engineer would go up and see if there was a water source causing it but when I came down the hall I saw housekeeping coming out of my room with a squirt bottle. Their solution was to deodorize the HELL out of the room which made the situation much worse! Smell was never a complaint but now I cannot breathe for the deodorizer is so overwhelming. Had to open the door and partially open the window to let it air out. Nice people, but won't be staying there again. We left and found a better place.

I was completely delighted with the service provided at the Bistro but very annoyed with the availability of items listed on both the food menu as well as the drink menu. I visited the Bistro on 3 separate occasions and each time I was told "I am sorry, we are out of that". The server was very apologetic and embarrassed. She did recommend the few options that were available. I have always enjoyed the Courtyard in other cities & never had this experience. The manager was not helpful and very rude! The female server is very delightful & friendly (Cindy) however, the young man has no personality at all and extremely slow.

A very clean new hotel located next to the 210 loop, golf, casinos, shopping and several food choices.

I was at this location to simply speak with concierge about my account and ask about marriott points program as I was curious to how they work/had a missing night to submit to my records. I was considerinf staying the night as well but decided to move onwards and not due to the place or anything negative but that I realized I'd need to travel a few more hours to make it to my final destination by day and time desired.

Rooms were clean, new and very swanky. Price was very fair and reasonable. As with most Courtyards the breakfast is not free, unless you do the included breakfast rate (A few more dollars per night)

The bistro is terrible! I had to repeat my breakfast request 2 times when ordering. There were no fresh eggs only eggbeaters, nor hash browns available. If this was a continental breakfast, I could understand but this is a PAID breakfast! Several of their menu selections included hash browns and your choice of eggs (fried or scrambled). I had to ask about a substitute for the potatoes for the attendant to tell me there was a fruit substitute. Lack of people helping contributed to the fiasco, as there was only one person taking orders and preparing Starbucks coffee. Poor management as he appeared to check the orders and then walked away and out of the bistro! Seems he might carry out his duties similar to how he dresses, as his shirt was untucked and his suit looked disheveled.

The service is terrible the staff is incompetent, the breakfast we paid for was ice cold and they forgot half the order. They were nice enough to comp it but when you have to microwave your eggs you know it's not your typical Marriott.
