Very efficient and very nice,, clean.

I attempted to check in for 3:30 and being told I had to wait until 4:00 only to find out at 8:30, because the hostess said it would be ok to check in late, the hotel flooded and I have no where to stay. All the hotels in Lake Charles are booked and not only was I here for the game but also my anniversary. When I spoke with the representative a second time she chuckled at my situation.

Deshawn is amazing! We checked in very late, coming in from Corpus Christi Texas. And even when I called ahead, to let her know we were on our way but wouldn’t be there until 1:30am. Me, my husband and son show up at 1:45, and at first my husbands cards wasn’t going through, so I tell her to swipe my card, and that didn’t go through which was odd, and I get a text from Wells Fargo requesting permission for the purchase, so I approved it (obviously), because our bank thought fraud because we don’t travel out of state often, she was so patent and helpful, And we stayed for two nights and I’m a smoker/drinker so I go out to the front to talk to her a little more and she is amazing, she is honestly the nicest hotel employee I’ve ever met! she helps and accommodates your needs with no hesitation. Thank You Deshawn! ❤️❤️

They couldn’t even manage to do the simple things, like have shampoo or soap, in the room (luckily Target was close by). A/C units sound like freight trains and the breakfast was stone cold. The staff was friendly enough but management couldn’t be bothered to discuss my experiences. I’ll find somewhere else to stay next tine I’m in town. Very disappointing.

Let me preface by saying we stay at Springhill Suites every time we come to Lake Charles to visit family. I booked the room over a month and a half ago through my company's travel agency. We show up around 9pm and there are at least eight people standing in the parking lot drinking beer, the lobby is packed with people sitting on the floor and in nearly all the chairs with about a dozen little Caesars pizzas. We waited about fifteen minutes before getting spoken to by hotel receptionist Donnie. He tells me the hotel is full and he doesn't know what to do. After continued speaking he tells me he has a room being cleaned and verified that I asked for a room with two queen beds as I'm travelling with my two young children ages 4 and 2. I'm told it will be twenty or so minutes for the room to be cleaned. Keep in mind check in time is 3pm and here I am after 9pm and can't get into a room. We make our way to some of the only available chairs, my kids getting increasingly antsy because they don't understand. About twenty five minutes go by and I'm told by another hotel staff member that my room is ready so I go to get keys and we head upstairs. Upon arrival at the room, housekeeping is still cleaning the room so we're forced to stand in the hallway for another ten to fifteen minutes. Once we finally get into the room, we find that it's a single bed with one twin trundle bed beneath the couch.

They didn’t warn us that construction was going to be past 10 pm and wake us up at 6 am. Waste of money because we couldn’t even sleep and the fourth floor smells awful. Never have I had had such a bad experience with a Marriott but I guess they don’t respect their customers here like they do back home. It never occurred to me to read the reviews first because I truly thought they all had a good reputation but I definitely will read them first next time.

The suites are comfortable and clean. The Staff makes you feel welcome and are there to serve our needs.

Prepaid room, unwillingness to change reservation. Someone removed my body wash from my room. Room key not working prior to check out. Only to check out and a credit balance noted on my account, however was told it was a credit that would be corrected, we will see if it happens. Good room. Decent breakfast. Very poor experience will never stay At Springhill again.

This was our last stay on an 1800 mile motorcycle trip. It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at. The entire staff was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Part of this trip we stayed at the Marriott Evergreen Resort. The room here at Spring Hill Suites in Lake Charles far outclassed even the Evergreen. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Lake Charles, I promise you can't go wrong here.

Staff was nice. Rooms not very clean mold or mildew in shower. Stains on floors and couch. Breakfast was re stocked very slowly due to the fact only 1 person was responsible for the waves of guests. Yet lots of staff around not helping them.

We had a less than clean room. There were several stains on our carpet and nothing to hold the toilet paper. We did use the pool and it was nice. The hotel as a whole seemed fine but our room was seriously lacking for a Marriott hotel.

HORRIBLE experience! Our room (along with 3 others) were paid together in advance. When our room was cleaned after the first day, our dirty towels were taken but not replaced, leaving us with no towels. All of the 4 rooms' key cards randomly quit working and we had to go down to the front desk 3 times to get it fixed. One of the employees even questioned my co-worker as to whether their room was paid for when trying to get their key card fixed like it was their fault. Then my credit card was charged for the full balance of the room that was already paid for. And to top it off, the General Manager won't return my call to fix this. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews as there are too many negative complainers in this world, but this was NOT a good experience.

This hotel was very clean and well put-together. The room was very spacious and convenient. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious.

The room was not up to standard. I stay on May27 and May 31. Each room was in bad shape. The door to bathroom had no handle to open it. On May 31 the door to shower had no handle to get in. The room was dirty, the shower had used soap on the bench and had a smell like backup sewer. Thr lamp (on bed) was broken. The toaster was broken on the first day and on second day it was taped and it might catch on fire.

Great price. Near awesome restaurants. Very clean rooms.

Stayed overnight for a family reunion in an accessible room. The room itself was very spacious. The bathroom had separate sections for the shower and toilet, which was great so that the tile in the toilet area were not slick after a shower. The bed could have been a bit better, but it was expected for a hotel room. Overall, a pleasant stay.

I like the hotel room but the pool had a little too much cloren in it but the room was big and had a good desk for people on an company trip.

Nice place. Just make sure you stay on the north side (not on the Hiway side). Really POOR job was done with sound deadining insulation. I've stayed in 3 different rooms… ALL are traffic noisy even above the air conditioner.

Its a beautifully appointed facility but poorly managed. Although new many 5jings look worn and or don't work and its not very clean. Finally the traffic noise is very bad will not stay agsin.

This is my second time in two years staying here rooms always clean plenty of towels, and a good breakfast. Front desk was also extremely helpful.

Friendly Staff Easy and Quick Check-in Nice Spacious Rooms Love the layout of the loving area with the sofa, mini fridge and microwave, separate shower room from restroom, huge closet… very very very nice. Comfortable Beds and the AC was cold (good thing to have in South Louisiana). Would highly recommend this hotel!

Only negative at this location is… the location. Directly between the interstate and a major city street. The traffic noise never really died down. The rooms were clean though and the staff service was pretty good. Apparently they run a regular shuttle out to the casinos so if that's your thing it's convenient.

Best customer service. Best Housekeeping. Best Rates. Great Location. 1000% Excellent Breakfast in the morning. I will keep booking with Marriott Hotels. Had everything in the room me and my family needed. Thanks Marriott.

Beds were comfy. Free breakfast not bad. Clean facility with little noise. Just little annoying things: only 1 towel in room, with no staff to deliver more; coffee cup that leaked; shower door that would not close all the way; shower head that needed cleaned or replaced. O'Charley's was a good place to eat, right down the street.

No handicap parking. Lighting in parking lot poor. Door handle to bathroom not there and door would not stay closed. In the evening it was messy around the coffee and coffee was cold. At breakfast at 7:30 they were out of many items. We will not stay here again.

Great place to stay. Clean and the employees are very caring. Thanks for taking care of my family needs on Christmas eve and Christmas.

Staff was great, our reservation hadnt gone through like we thought but they were still able to get us a room and for cheaper than we origibally booked. Room was clean and everything worked. Overall everything was good.

Great place, room was nice, bathroom separate from the shower, gym over seeing the pool and hot tub through glass, so the kids can play while we work out. Free breakfast was great.

Nice clean room. Loved the sliding doors for bathroom, shower, and closets. Beautiful bathroom with circle of light for the mirror. Great stay!

I visited this hotel while on a work trip for a week or two. It was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast food was always delicious. I would stay here again.

Room was nice. Front desk clerk was very rude and appeared not to be knowledgeable on the check in procedure. My fiance reserved a room with his card but when I got there to check in they told me he never signed the reservation form in order to pay for the room so I had to use my card to get the room due to him not being there at the time of check in. My card was charged 3 TIMES by this hotel. My fiance card also had a pending charge for the same amount which they told me his card would have the funds deposited back onto his card. However my card has 3 pending charges of $240.00! I'm sure all of this confusion started with the front desk clerk not knowing what she was doing at the time of making the reservation. I will never stay here again nor recommend this hotel.

What a sh**show of a place. We checked in and no more than an hour or so later we discover that our credit card had been scammed out of a huge sum of money. Coupled with the fact that prior to discovering this and filing a police report, there had been several individuals that had came in with odd requests (asking about an ATM which was later a part of a scam call we got while in this very same hotel). Either an employee had some involvement in this or this location was being used to run an active scam but either way it was a very unsettling experience. Later discovered that somehow one of my folks had their voicemail hacked after being harassed by the individual whom had been posing as from the hotel. During the police report filing encounter, there had been someone calling the same front desk requesting specific information with the manager advising them that they needed to stop calling.

Room was great, typical for Springhill suites. Front desk worker seemed to pay more attention to some pilots who walked in after me and approached the desk after me. Whatever… one crappy front desk worker didn't ruin my experience. Gym and breakfast were pretty nice too.

Our stay at this hotel has been nothing short of a nightmare! Not only was this hotel in dire need of having all items in the hotel room working properly, hotel management lacked in professionalism and didn't seem to make the extra effort to ensure we had a comfortable stay. What made it even worst was the double charge for our stay, which we had to "research" and correct. We do "not recommend" staying at this hotel.

The SpringHill suites is very close to the main lake Charles casinos. There is a shuttle that travels between the hotel and the casinos, which was very convenient except that the shuttle ended at 1am. Overall the rooms were very spacious and with the pull out couch, provided more than enough places to sleep for a group.

Decent hotel and location overall. Needs some basic maintenance. For example, bathroom fixture was extremely loose and soap 2 out of 3 sinks in the lobby restroom weren't filled throughout our stay. I was twice told we were getting a 10% discount and the rate never changed. The 2nd clerk I asked about it told me the $109 rate was a 10% discount but it was the walk-in rate I initially received.

Hotel has well lit for a late night arrival. Conveniently located off the freeway. Everything would have been great, but I found makeup on my pillow. Pulled the sheets back, and the bed hadn't been changed either. Second double bed's sheets were nicely tucked. For what ever reason, the bed was made but not changed. The desk was short staffed, so I had to change my own bedsheets. That pretty much tainted my visit.

Went for a baseball trip. The room I was put in the first night had mold around the light switch and outlets next to the bed. I was moved the next day because I was told the hotel was sold out. Two other people in my group also had rooms with mold. I tried for days while I was there to reach the General Manager Glenn Knight and the Manager Jamie Simon. Neither was available to speak to me during my one week stay. I have since sent several emails requesting a refund for my one night stay in a room containing mold. Completely unacceptable.
PS if you go, request an even number room. The odd rooms are directly next to the interstate and extremely noisy.

Really nice hotel! Very clean, rooms nice and cold, indoor pool and whirlpool were great! Staff very friendly & pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place! Great location also!

Very awesome stay! The stay were incredible and kind. The room was perfect and I loved the set up. I'm an avid traveller and admit I usually stick to what I know but this was a great room and price and we will stay in Springhill again!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I needed an affordable room for a single night and found this hotel. The interior is beautiful, with modern decor. The room was designed like a suite, with separate sleeping and sitting areas. Down side was that most of the TV channels didn't work, there wasn't a clock in the room and the pool was way too hot to enjoy.

Very nice hotel. Great staff from the time you enter to the time you exit. Clean and well kept pool and exercise rooms! Clean just needs a few things fixed in the room (hanger by toilet & enterance door to shower station). Loved the layout of the double bed rooms with the petition for the living room which has the sleeper sofa. Breakfast was nice and hot… I would prefer real eggs and well cooked sausages but besides yes… I would stay again.

Bad mad service and to be a new place It needs a good cleaning. The bar was service was great.

Needed a last minute room and all the casinos were booked. Called this hotel and was greeted by a very friendly front desk person. The room was very nice and we sat at the small bar and had a couple of drinks while talking to the cool bartender and watching TV. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in the area!

Hotel was well-decorated — fresh, clean and modern. Bedding was comfortable, loved separate rooms for toilet and shower. Room appointments were thorough and thoughtfully placed. Lacked full set of bedding for sofa bed and had to go to front desk to get missing pieces. Filth and trash that was in the elevator upon our mid-afternoon arrival was still present at the time of our mid-morning departure. Juice machine was out of order for breakfast, leaving the only beverage options to be water, coffee or milk. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice and clean hotel near casinos in Lake Charles with friendly staff. Noisy due to lots of kids. Has a modern decore. Pricey rates on weekends due to volume.

This hotel wasn't so bad. My stay here was nice. That staff were also helpful.

Decent enough hotel for the area I guess, but my stay was so-so. Staff were very friendly, but first room I got was musty smelling and after getting unpacked and ready to shower, I found that there was no hot water. Had to be moved to another room. I was having a bad day anyway and that didn't make it great. The breakfast was OK, nice space, but food options were standard, nothing stellar. I wouldn't NOT stay there, but I wouldn't push to go either.

Wow, what a jerk! We stayed there after our house burned, locally. Most of the staff was amazing! But the manager is a huge jerk! I had a good bit of stuff there, because I was practically homeless otherwise. It was all very neatly organized. Apparently, I had too much stuff there. My kids spilled tea, and I had to clean it up with their towels. And my 4 year old that had just been through a horribly traumatic experience, wet the bed. Nothing I could really control, we were living there, not on vacation. The manager chewed me out, and has completely banned me from the hotel because of these things! Way to kick me while I was down, jerk! I did the best I could, and tipped the housekeeper very well. I offered to change the sheets, as well. I am not nasty, just hit a hard time. Hope that manager never goes through what I have been through, and meets a manager like him!

Great room, awesome bed, and a great staff! The night desk girl was especially great! Would recommend it to anyone.
