Overpriced has a lot of live in residents and I was almost attacked da dog that belonged to resident of hotel while walking my dog. Had to scream and yell till someone came outside. There was no toilet paper or toiletries like shampoo and soap. Also it was 64 bucks! however they didnt charge a pet deposit for my dog. But I wouldn't stay here again. From deak lady nice but also has roaches.

Nasty rooms loud music unsafe environment.

My stay at the Motel 6 in Vicksburg was one of the best expierences I have had. The staff was awesome 'p professional and outgoing they would go out of their way to make sure you were you were taking care of Southern half of hospitality look here I would recommend this Motel 6 anytime you stay in Warren County or the city of Vicksburg thank you very much Jamie Alpert Martinez Long Beach California USA.

This hotel is so run down it's not funny.

Room smelled clean however the ice bucket had hair on the bottom of it. The toilet seat was loose and I ended up tightening it myself. The shower curtain had a hole in it. The hot water knob was broken and when I went to call the front desk the phone doesn't work. So I had to walk down to the front desk to report it. I asked about a refund upon checking out, manager said call Expedia. Expedia said call motel. I called motel back, manager said she'd call corporate and call me back, that's been a week so now they get a bad review on everything I can find them on. We'll never be back!

Get rid of drug dealers. Fix the mold problems. Get rid of crappy staff. A man was shot when I showed up. No towels for the rooms. No shower curtain in the room. Crack motel at its finest. Drugs run that motel. Dont stay there.

Very nice clerk at the front desk… HUGE room… close to freeway/dining… only a short drive to historic downtown… great price with free pet policy!

Got there. Had a reservation thru booking. Com for 2 rooms. They did 2 different transactions. There was no hot water. They had one room at the door while my other room was at the other end. Cards won't work if it was near your phone.

Got there, checked in with our reservations we made over a week in advance, to start our rooms were on the complete opposite side of each other, then 2 hours after checking in, we discover there NO hot water! We ask; and their boilers are out and have been for a day or so, and they did NOT tell ANY of the guests. I told every person I saw about it as we left, and also it takes 3-5 business days to get the money back, which ruined our triP and the staff is RUDE. A formal complaint has been filed against that hotel.

Your motel was close to my intended visit. The price was more than fair and the room was quite comfy. This hotel was perfect for the night with no noise nor bothers. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I couldn't pass it up for less than 51.00 after taxes! Thank you for making my stay cheap and pleasant.

The hotel was convenient, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was offered with the typical menu items and tasted good so there was no need to spend even more money dining out. It was also a pet friendly facility which made it the choice for us since we had our Boston Terrier accompanying us. Most hotels in the area were charging up to $175 per pet! Here we weren't charged any additional for our four-legged family member. Overall this was a nice and affordable stay for the family.

Recently took a road trip across the US. San Diego to Florida, South Carolina and back. We stayed at several Motel 6 locations along the way and were satisfied with them until we got to Vicksburg. We pulled in about 10 pm. Went in hoping we could get a room with 2 queens. Apparently this location only had doubles. No worries we could make it work. Was told they had 1 double non smoking room. When we entered the room it reeked of cigarette smoke. Room was less than clean, building showed signs of age… unfortunately for us we were very tired after having driven 16 hours that day. During the night there were cars driving by playing loud music. We got up early the next morning to get back on the road and out of there as soon as possible. Walking out the door at 7am there are 4 men sitting outside the room next door drinking. Must say it was our worst motel 6 experience. Considering the location so close to The Battlefield some upgrades and cleanliness would make this a much better stay. On a positive note front desk people were very nice. Won't be stopping in Vicksburg next time.

Ask for my money back once I walked in room smelled like mold and sure enough there mold on wall! We had rented 2 rooms and ask for them to he beside each other which they was not the other room was ok but had to get money back on both rooms bc they claim they had no other rooms! Then they told us it take 5days to get our money back!

Very unpleasant front desk staff.

Lovely aging building with clean rooms. No air conditioning in hallway was odd. Online info said there was continental breakfast included but instead was just coffee. It would have been nice to have a table with some chairs to sit at. Price was great though for an overnight stay. Courteous ladies at the desk.

Good place to stay. The bed was comfortable. Good size room. The staff was friendly. And it was quiet. The toilet was very short, so if you are old and can't get up and down easy this won't work. And I think the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Overall I pleasant place to stay. I would stay there again.

From a concern customer. My husband and I stay at Motel 6 a couple of times a year for business, my husband and I have seen a lot. Unfortunately, this time will be our last stay. This is concerning the general manager Felicia Smith. The way she speaks to her staff is very disturbing. If this is the way she talks to them in front of the guest, I can only imagine how she talks to them behind close doors. I am a general manager myself and I have and never would talk to my employees the way she does. The desk clerks are always so friendly and helpful. I have personally witness how she treats them and it made my husband and I very uncomfortable. In all the motels I have stayed in the most expensive and the most cheapest, I have never seen a desk clerk clean a guest room. I have seen plenty of desk clerks come and go and now I understand why. This is why you have housekeepers. The two young men that are working there are gentlemen and I have witness how she speaks to them. My husband and I stayed last month and she was the same way. Motel 6, I never written a review before good or bad. I just wanted to let you know how your staff is being treated. From a concern customer.

We checked in and went upstairs to our room. The upstairs hallway appeared to be over a hundred degrees. (it was sweltering) There was a huge fan blowing the heat toward a door that was opened going outside. When we expressed concern for where the heat was coming from we were told they did not know. We decided to ask for a refund for fear of a fire. (there was no sprinkler system) My mother-in-law was in a different room and they refused refund the full amount of the room. We checked out due to safety concerns and they did not seem to care. Beware!

Although the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Other guests were yelling in the hall dogs were barking and doors were being slammed. Hated it there. Left early no coffee in room no shampoo. Just a really bad choice.

I stayed for a little over a month for work. My room was nice, got a good price and the staff working the front desk was courteous and helpful. However, I received room service only three times. I had to dispose of my garbage and exchange towels. Wash clothes were scarce so I reused and washed the ones I had.

I have stayed here multiple times but this time was so bad I'll be finding a new place to stay when I pass through Vicksburg. Strange guy standing in tree line on cell phone watching back parking lot when I checked in at 1 am. Garbage everywhere outside. Nasty puddle of something, actually looked like diarrhea, on 2nd floor walkway near my room entrance. Toilet seat only secured by one bolt. Mold on wall behind toilet. Large area of black mold on shower wall near shower head. This place seems to be falling apart and does not in any way feel like a safe or clean place to stay any more. Sad to lose one of my regular places to stop off and rest.

The staff was very courteous and friendly. Staff asked of we needed anything during our stay during the holidays. I will use this hotel all the time during my frequent trips to Vicksburg. Many restaurants nearby.

Today while checking in MOTEL6 Vicksburg, Mississippi was horrible. I had gotten there around 5 p. M. I am giving it one star, because Motel 6 needs to do better. The desk clerk was asboulety delightful and courteous but she was by herself. They need to start having more than one desk clerk there. And the bath tub had mold around it and there was mold around the window. The smoke alarm kept beeping all night. Do better Motel 6.

They put us in an upstairs room in the back of the complex. We didn't feel safe. The chain lock had screws that were almost falling out. There was too much light at night coming around the closed drapes that did not shut out all the light. Disappointed that there was not even a coffeemaker/coffee in our room! I didn't get much sleep. About the only plus was channel selections on the tv.

Great hotel, very clean and great rooms. Nearby (you have to go by car) There are several places to have breakfast. Recommended, yes, to go downtown you have to drive.

The best part of the stay was walking out to our car in the morning and discovering it was still there. The room was filthy and smelled like a bar. You'd think they could at least use some air freshener to alleviate some of the smoke smell. There was feces on the wall and someone smeared their boogers on the bathroom wall, something you'd think housekeeping would've taken care of… The lock looks like someone seriously tried to break in. Stay away from here if you can!

Our check in was made ready by your wonderful front desk staff. At the time of us checking in the housekeeping crew was leaving. Every one of them politely spoke to us. It was very clean and we truly enjoyed our short stay. Thank you.

Staff very cordial, friendly. I would rate this as your best for your money, clean rooms, comfy beds,. The staff were amazing,,, just ask what ya might need… totally on board… I will personally be back. These peeps are great and care to your needs.

Made online reservation, went to hotel w/2 poodles and spouse in horrible storm only to find out they were booked up. No vacancies. Every hotel was full because of storm, and locals having to leave homes due to power outage. This happened a second time a few days later. Was able to stay there one night out of 3. Ridiculous! We slept in car, not by choice the first time. Understand. We MADE reservations online. Every time. No compensation or apologies offered either time.

The water was so HOT it scalded my fingers, when checking the temperature. Luckily, it only affected me for a couple of days. The staff knew of this problem yet didn’t notify me. The shower diverted didn’t work properly so you either get scalding hot water or cold water with a very fine adjustment for somewhat warm water. Very quick shower it was!

The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great and the TV was awesome! I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this motel to anyone that is looking for great nights rest at a very reasonable price! I was pleasantly surprised! My little Pomeranian and chihuahua even enjoyed the stay! The bed was also extremely comfortable!

This is the first time staying at a Motel Six in several years. I was impressed with the "new look". The room was nice, except for the shower did not work. I had to use the ice bucket to dose myself with water from the bathtub faucet. What really bothers me is that this probably means that the housekeeping staff did not bother to clean the bathtub after the last guest. If they did, they would have noted that the shower did not work and reported it.

I'm very low maintenance and don't expect much. Just a clean room to sleep and a shower to bathe. The hot water was so messed up making it impossible to regulate. It either scalded or froze you so we pretty much took sponge baths. They knew the issue existed but failed to correct it. The room wasn't cleaned the whole time and we had to share 1 rag because that's all the front desk had. We were in town for a funeral of a loved one so we didn't have time to move to another hotel. I typically stay at Motel 6's, but I doubt I will again and certainly not this one. It should be shut down. Very disappointed, 1 star is 1 too many.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and for the cost and very comfortable bed, adequate amount of cable channels (even more than most Choice Hotel Chains), I would definitely advise someone to stay here. However, theres’s much improvements that need to be done about the housekeeping. One morning I tipped the housekeeper very nicely and asked her to please change the sheets. Well, that’s absolutely all she did. The garbage cans were not emptied, the dirty towels were still on the floor, no clean towels, wash cloths, hand towels or bath mat were left. The bathtub had not been cleaned at all. I thought that was completely strange especially since I had personally handed her a generous tip. The next day, there was a different housekeeper who, in my opinion, could have turned her friendliness button up a lot because when she asked if I needed service that day, I said nothing but clean towels and garbage emptied. The expression on her face came across as I had just asked for a full cleaning experience. She also said, when she brought the two towels to me that I’d have to wait on washcloths and hand towels because they were all dirty. I never did get the additional items. Also the faucet in the tub really needs to be replaced. It drips a fairly fast drip 24/7. Maybe if management would make some serious changes with housekeeping and a few minor plumbing repairs, this hotel would no doubt get better reviews.

Only real problems that I had was the fact that the room wasn’t vacuumed prior to us getting there. I know this because there was toe nail clippings in the floor. Also, we had to have our key cards reprogrammed everyday and no one could tell us why. Other than that, everything else was great. The room was surprisingly nice. Great location.

This was the worst motel 6 experience ever. They were unable to accommodate my handicap mother with first floor room even with advanced notice of the need. The non-smoking was saturated in cigarette smell. They want to charge even more money to move us. Then there was a mysterious alarm that went of in our room in the middle of the night. The staff was very dismissive when these things were brought to their attention. We will skip Vicksburg, MS altogether in our future travels.

Very pleasantly surprised. We needed clean soft beds and a nice hot shower. We got that and more. The place was well kept, friendly staff, and nice thick walls. We slept great, hardly any noise, and felt safe. We will definitely stay again.

We would return to this hotel because it is a very good value. Courteous personnel. Good bed. Quiet room. The only things that needs improvement are the plumbing fixtures: a noisy filler valve in the toilet bowl and a shower/bath diverter handle that fell of when I touched it. But I liked the hotel.

This hotel was conveniently located near major roads. I've not stayed in a Motel 6 in many years. This one was better than I expected. The hostess switched us to a downstairs room. I appreciated that since the upstairs crowd seemed to hang out, talking loudly on the balcony. Our room was quiet. It was a little dated but our room was acceptable. One thing that was odd was the way the water in the shower kept cycling between warm and cold. No long, luxurious hot shower for us! Overall, the room served our purpose and our budget for this short trip.

I've come to the US for 10 days of vacation. I've travelled through 6 states and almost every night I stayed at a different motel 6. The one here in Vicksburg was by far the most luxurious. The staff was friendly and helpful, I could use the washing machine/ dryer, got directions to the nearest supermarket and restaurants by the friendly staff. Furniture and appliances in the room were top notch. It's obvious that somebody takes good care of this establishment.

My brother stayed here for work reason. They moved him from one room to another while my brother was at work so he wasn’t aware. He knew the day he was going to be moved just not the time so an employee moved his things. Well that employee processed to go through all he’s belongings Arthur Waston the employees name. In the process of going through he’s things he stole my brothers gun out of he’s backpack and his iPad out of he’s suitcase. This all stared Oct 13, 2017. Nothing was done and still nothing is been done by the hotel. My brother had to contact the cops on he’s own the receptionist said she couldn’t really do anything. No one question the employee that took the stuff. The receptionist also claim she would report the incident and she did not. We had to report to corporate and then we found out we have to the deal with the owner and I’m sure he’s not even aware yet because the hotel never report anything. I understand hotels are not responsible for certain things. But this was hotel negligence an employee went into he’s room and went through he’s belonging. And I’m also sure they don’t do background checks on employees since that employee also has a criminal record (sex offender) and now is running around with a gun that he stole. The hotel didn’t even apologize. I would most definitely not recommend this place to anyone employees steal and will go through your belongings.

We needed a clean, quiet place to get a good night's sleep at an affordable price. Motel 6 provided that. The sheets were clean. The floor was vacuumed. The air conditioner worked. I would have liked my bedside light to work. I would have liked the bathtub to be cleaner. (Didn't use it due to that) I would have liked the bathroom sink valves to work correctly. (The right one had to be at just the right place to turn off. ) It's fine if you are just seeing how long you can drive before you need to crash.

This is the second time we were there with the VFW & VFW Auxiliary. Again, I was disappointed. We asked for a handicap room and there was no place to put the soap in the shower area. To keep our toiletries in the bathroom, I had to put the desk chair in the bathroom. The last time with the VFW our rate was $45 and discovered it was jacked up. In additional last time I put our name on a room reservation list, the Thursday before this weekend I called and discovered while our name was still on the list, no room had been reserved for us. The sleeping portion of the room was very dimly lit while one needed sunglasses in the bathroom! We needed a light at the desk area for using computer. The staff was very accommodating and the new maintenance guy was extremely helpful and understanding. I know the VFW has a contract; however, many of the attendees are telling me they are going to stay at the Hampton Inn or other place preferring to pay a high night's rate than stay in rooms that smelled musty, etc.

Overall my stay was satisfactory for the price paid. My room was basically clean. What I did not like was the bed pillows which while clean, were so lumpy that they were useless and uncomfortable. I had a two night stay. On the second day my key would not work and others were in the lobby for the same reason. I experienced a long wait for someone to come to the desk to help me with the key. Refrigerator had to be unplugged in order to plug in the microwave for use. No coffee maker in the room. On the plus side they did allow me to have my dog in the room. We were there because we were fleeing Hurricane Nate. Price was reasonable.

Hotel was very clean and front desk was friendly and helpful. Rooms were large, bed was nice. The area around the hotel was well kept. Only negative comment would be that the shower went hot and cold randomly. Appreciate the fact you accept pets without extra charges — please don’t change.

I was their on the 4th of Oct 2017 it very nice and clean and friendly staff. But only bad part was no Shampoo or Conditioner to wash your hair, they do have a pack you can buy in the vendor machine cost way to much for what you get. But over over all was a great place.

Clean and quiet. Newly renovated. Price is Right. Friendly helpful staff. Would have been 5 stars but ice machine was broken. Would certainly recommend​ for those on a budget or that just need a few hours sleep while travelling.

Very accommodating. I booked a king room, but found out they were all on the top floor and there was no elevator. They changed me to a room on the bottom floor with no problem. Not a lot of amenities, but the room was comfortable and clean. The location is great for the history buff since it backs up to the military grounds.

The price was good but the room was not what I expected. The bathroom was not clean and the toilet had a dried spot of diarrhea stuck to the inside of the toilet. The bathroom tub was dirty to the point that I didn't wanna bathe in it especially after looking at the toilet. Going in to the lobby to get a room here you expect it to look as nice and clean as the lobby is but the rooms are nothing like that.

Staff did their best to accommodate our needs. The first night our room was stuffy and didn't have the amenities we needed. And no room could be found on the first floor as we needed. The second night the staff found us a room on the first floor which was much more to our liking. However they were unable to send maintenance when the toilet stopped flushing. I've seen worse places, but I won't go to Motel 6 again if I can avoid it.

Upon arrival, I checked in rather quickly and headed toward my room for the evening. The key didn't work, so I headed back to the front desk. They re-programmed the key and I headed back to the room again. Key still didn't work. I headed back to the desk and this time I asked, "Is it normal for the light in the room to be on? " They desk staff seemed to be unconcerned about the light but still escorted me to the room on the third trip. When we arrived at the room, the employee tried to peek in the curtain and then knocked on the door to see if anyone was inside. No one ever answered the door, but the curtain began to move and I looked in to see paws on the floor. There was a dog in the room. So we headed back to the front desk and a quick computer search revealed that the room was occupied. I was assigned to a different room and went on my way. The new room was not occupied, but I was a little paranoid that someone was going to try to open the door on me. The room was clean and comfortable.

I was there 7/15/17. I had arrived early to check in and was told that they didn't have any rooms ready which I didn't mind, I was 3 hours early, so I said no problem that I just needed a ground floor smoking. The wait staff was very nice and told me it would be ready. I came back about 4:30 and they had gave my room away and had 1 on the 2nd floor she apologized and gave me a $10 credit for my inconvenience. I changed and left there was no hot water in my room but I thought it was because of a large group of men. I arrived back at 10:30 and still no hot water, so I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't have any wires on it and none behind the night stands so I waited until morning to take my shower and still no hot water. I walked down to the front desk and he said no one else complained. He came and checked my water to see if it was hot and said he would have to call the maintenance man. The toilet seat was revolving as a screw was striped. This motel looked amazing and clean but was terrible on maintenance in my room anyway.

We traveled with our kids from Memphis to New Orleans. The stay at motel 6 was a pleasant one. Plenty space for us, a pool and clean rooms. All employees were very friendly and the check inn / out was very positive. Location perfect from the highway, a short drive to Vicksburg center. Thanks.

I needed an overnight stay and didn't want or need to spend a fortune. When I walked into the lobby, I was immediately impressed with the appearance and the antebellum-like staircase, very high ceiling with beautiful chandelier was so appealing. I was greeted by Jasmine who handled my reservation and was so accommodating. She asked if I had any preferences (up or downstairs, poolside, etc) and I told her "just somewhere quiet". With a friendly smile, she responded "inside". She placed me very conveniently upstairs just at the top of the stairs from the lobby and my room was across from ice and vending. When entering the room, I found it to be very up-to-date with colors, carpeting, bedding, etc. And the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable as well. The only downfalls I noticed was the bathtub could use an uplift or even stand to be replaced, but it did work well and was clean. And the Wi-Fi was very slow. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and the price can't be beat.

They have recently been bought out by Super 8… The halls and more importantly my room smelled horrible… old, musty nastiness. The bed was uncomfortable — every time my wife moved, I was awake. The only saving grace was the staff seemed genuinely interested in fixing the issues and the bedding was clean.

Getting to the hotel is a small pain but the rooms were nice, internet was ok, service is great.

It's good price the room I had was clean staff and manager / owners were friendly everything work in room fridge microwave Ect as far as bed bugs other people were saying they had I haven't seen none or been bit by any only thing they don't have is a continental breakfast but if your looking for a good price motel that's pet friendly this is a good place.

It's a good value for how much the room cost us. Easily accessible from I-20

I will never stay there again even if my life depended on it, they had bed bugs so bad that me and my husband was a meal for them feeding off our blood making very big red bites on our body which we had to go to the MEA clinic to get treated. The room was filty rugs were awful we was scared to put our foot down on the floor and the towels was very dingy like they wasnt being washed so I rate it a 0 and should be closed down.

I stayed here primarily because it was pet friendly, I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms cleanliness. The Wi-Fi was also free and fast. My room had a microwave and fridge which were nice. All this for at a Motel 6 price. The room had a flat screen TV. The only problem I had during a 4 day stay was that one evening the TV kept losing signal on the news channels.

BED BUGS! We were just stopping through after going to the battlefield… Well we should have kept going… There were bed bugs everywhere in the room. The beds were infested, my bag was up on the carriage and still got infested. We did not realize this till the AM unfortunately. As for we were so tired we came in and fell fast asleep. We all have huge welts and bites everywhere! When we informed the front desk, Dumass came in and collected all the bugs claiming they were NOT bed bugs. They did not want to give a refund, they were none to help other than gave us a trash bag. DO NOT STAY HERE! The only reason we got a refund was because we insisted he call his supervisor, whom then came to the hotel. Ive never packed up and left somewhere fast enough.
