Didnt deserve 1 star… Horrible first impression, drug transactions in front of office. Was offered a preview of room, I was exausted so I just accepted key before looking at it… Cig burns everywhere! Tub, floor, blankets, fine its fine, im just tired and brought my own blanket and pillow, its cheap and I knew that. Has open sockets where things used to be. Microwave, smoke alarm, room stinks, cool ill burn an incense… Went to take a shower at BAM pubic hair stuck on the one towel I was provided, for a two bed two guest room. I politely went to office and requested a fresh set and was DENIED! He said (the manager) u took the room as is, housekeeping is gone and I guess u will have to drip dry or dont shower! I was pissssssed… Luckily I brought my own towels which I had to go get in the pouring rain… Needless to say I will never return, and I knkw the review wont shut them down or change anything… Just wanted to warn u. Staff is rude and place is gross. Cheap tho!

Whatever you do, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We walked into our room and the first thing we notice was about 15-20 cigarettes burn holes in the bed. The carpet smells of water damage and the shower sprayed water everywhere causing the entire bathroom to get wet when we would shower. NOT TO MENTION the HORRIBLE staff! When you check out your responsible for cleaning the whole room, taking linens and trash out? Like what is room service for? I wish I could give them a ZERO star rating but for now I guess a 1 star will do. The staff is absolutely ridiculous. Spend the few extra dollars to go somewhere else more nice with better staff! This place sucks! Can’t ever get ahold of staff or anyone at the front desk.

The price I paid was twice what was on the sign outside but all in all it was a good place room was ok and water does get hot in the shower.

Close to casinos. Clean room. Suspect clientele that rent rooms by the week. Only provide 1 towel. Inexpensive. We stayed because all the casinos were sold out & we had show tickets. Limited office hours.

1 star is too much! This place is a health hazard! We drove up to a parking lot to rough looking drunks! The lady was very nice and told us to look at the room first (red flag). Even though we requested non smoking, upon entering the room, it wreaked of smoke! The comforter had at least 100 cigarette burns on it! There was hair in the toilet, mold on bathtub. The counters hadn't been cleaned. There was blood on the wall and floor around the garbage can. We left nauseated and told the nice lady we couldn't stay there. She happily agreed to cancel our reservation with no charge. The worst hotel I've ever seen!

They lost a star due to only having one wastebasket in the room and bath towels as small as dishtowels. Otherwise, room was very clean, bug free, comfortable, nice size flat screen TV, good water pressure and decent toilet paper. Very adequate lodging and the staff was courteous and friendly. Would stay again.

Recently remodeled, nice for low budget hotel. Staff is nice.

It's located maybe 5 miles from. The beach it's a good hotel and not to pricey.

I check in a 4:29pm they gave me my key so I can look at the room it was nice for the price we paid to stay one night. But there was no cover on the beds so I told the lady that was at the front desk and she told me they was in the washer and they was going to bring them so I said okay we put I'll bags in the room and left out for the day came back still no covers on the bed and they was wet and the brown blanket she gave me at the front desk was wet also We came back at 9:00pm that night with no covers to sleep on the beds and we had I'll children with us.

It's nothing fancy, but for the price it's definitely a good deal.

This place offers you only One incomplete towel set per Room. We paid $194.00 for 3 nights @ this dive. The reason for this was "this is considered apt style lodging, ok so with that being said you supply pots, dishes, etc. What they are doing is representing themselves as a Time Share without supplying you nesscessary means. False representation. Liars! Never again!

Bad service from customer service… got kicked out for to many complaints on one front dest clerk. Was told if u dont like service leave and cops told us to vacate I give it no stars… Unless u are a regular or dont complain but charging 220 and dont want to do their job.

Great place. Rooms clean and comfortable. The employees are great. Price is way beyond others. I will stay nowhere else if possible.

I like the quiet sometimes but also l would like to have a pool close by.

Got off work at 530pm… it is now 548pm and I'm still sitting outside office waiting for someone to come and re register my key… payed for 2mth room and have to get a new key every Tuesday that seems to only start working correctly by Thursday… they don't provide clean towels so I assume they don't wash sheets… worste ever stayed in… n I've stayed n traps.

Toilet doesn't flush, carpet is extremely nasty and sticky, couples fighting, no refunds… other than those issues, it's a roof over your head, refrigerator, range top, microwave oven, dish sink.

Escaping hurricane Irma rented a suite for 3 nights for 3 people. One of us went ahead of us and checked in early Saturday, the rest of us arrived at 2am. What we found was the supposed to be non-smoking room stinking with cigarettes smoke, the carpet between AC and the bed is soaking wet, because AC was dripping water. No dishes or silverware, microwave plate is not spinning, the toilet bowl is loose and moving around, but the last straw was they gave us 1 towel for 3 of us and would not give more without all of us personally register in the office, which was closed until 3pm.

Room smelled like smoke. Bed was dirty. Latch lock on door completely broken. Pieces of tile missing. Wall peeling/missing pieces. Water stains all over ceiling. Dirty toilet. Lights in "kitchen" area don't work at all. Etc. Etc. It was just gross, unsafe feeling, & not comfortable at all. Was told there was no manager & no other rooms available when I saw multiple empty rooms. Just really bad.

After paying the deposit, showing up at the property and trying to check in we were informed our room had been given to someone else. Upon asking for our money back we were told we were not do a refund and that there was no manager we could speak to. The customer service was the worst I've ever seen. As we travel a lot for business no one will ever stay at in town suites from our company ever again. We dealt with a gentleman by the name and I do use the term Gentlemen loosely of Darius Who refuse to call anyone else or give us his last name. He referred us to corporate headquarters which just so happens the complaint mailbox was full. At this time we will be contacting our bank to see that they do not get one red cent. Do yourself a favor spend a couple extra bucks to stay at the suburban extended stay. Intown suites you not only lost a customer but you've also lost all credibility. Do yourself a favor stay anywhere else.

Rooms are nice and the front desk is very courteous. They have a front desk employee named Darius that is just simply amazing and the nicest person I've met at this hotel. Prices aren't bad at all and everything seems to new and updates.

Decent hotel with really nice rooms. They expect you to take care of your own soap, toilet paper and towels. Crazy. The towels are really small.

Never again. AC SUCKS, Take some febreze! Room was so nasty. My granddaughter got out of shower and with in 6 mins here feet were black. Take your own toilet paper. No room service bring your own towels! NEVER AGAIN.

It has been bought out by intown suites. The hired all new staff even a new gm. The remodel some of the rooms and have bettee security on site. It was nice for only $206.55 for one week.

If there was an option to not choose a star — I'd give it that one… Extremely rude staff and behavior of other people staying there was downright shocking. We found a cockroach in our room, no refund until DAYS later when we paid in cash THAT day. Offered us a new room… NO THANKS! DO NOT STAY HERE. A night here is worth a nickle and your life. I've never seen anything like it. Go down the street to ANYWHERE better.

It's a very nice place it's quiet place to stay grate room so you should come and stay it's lovely so everyone have a grate Day God Bless each & Everyone…

I strongly recommend do not bring your family to this place, A lot of drug activities. I just remember when I went to jail for one night, same exact place except less security. I was afraid to get out my room to go eat dinner. No one is at the office either. You can not check out before 10:00 watch what you sign they always over charge you.

I remember staying here a couple years ago, it was horrible. But since Intown Suites have taking over and all new management I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. The cleanliness is awesome. The staff is very friendly. Even the guest makes you feel welcome. The previous reviews were describing the former Sun Suites. INTOWN suites is 20 times better.

I only stopped by the Sun in Gulfport to visit a buddy. The rooms there are set up for extended stays (fridge, stove, etc. ) They have nice flat screen televisions, too. Not to shabby. There is a large gas station with cold beer right next door, too.

The service was extremely friendly. Rooms were cheap and clean. They need a little updating but other than that, no complaints. Very well lit area. 20 minutes from casinos.

The manager and staff had messed up personalities. Once they get your money in their hands their attitude completely changed. But enjoyed Gulfport.

The hotel used to be Sun Suites and has since then been taken over by a new company Intown Suites and new management. Thank god! This is the best thing to happen to this place. No more drugs, prostitution, rule breaking. Nothing. The team there has been cracking down and the place is starting to come together. Stayed at Sun Suites about a year ago and it was awful, stayed at Intown with a family member the other day and it was WONDERFUL. We will be back! The manager Shonda was very professional and friendly. The rooms were SOOO much nicer. I acquired my weekly housekeeping during my stay and I wanted to also leave a good review for our housekeeper we had, Becca. She was very professional, clean, and quick. I didn't feel she hated her job like most housekeepers (sorry no harm meant). She asked us if we were enjoying our stay, inquired about any problems we may be having, and even went as far as swapping out some of the furniture in my room to improve our stay! All in all with the environment, staff, and rooms we were very satisfied with our stay. I will be back & I will be spreading the word. Please give INTOWN SUITES a try. And they lowered their rates! a+++++++++++++++++

They're distrusting and rude attitude! They only issue out one set of towels and the rooms are nasty. The provide no soap etc or nothing. 07/21/2015 I recommend nobody to there rooms.

This hotel needs to be closed. It is infested with ROACHES, ROACHES and more ROACHES! My room had an awful and disgusting smell and not very well cleaned. After six hours of this unpleasant experience, I checked out and demanded a refund.

Awful. Disgusting. If the volume to the type of person I saw there suggests anything, it's essentially an extended-stay rathole for prostitutes.

Worst motel I have ever stayed at. The fresh towels are disgusting with filth still on them, the maid takes a long time to do her job and the lady at the office sits all day long on Facebook and listening to ghetto music. If you need new towels you will need to bring your old ones down.

I hate it here. Its dirty, noisy, and the first time we came here, we haven't had new sheets in a month.

I faced really a worst experience for just a night stay. When I was away from my room and wasn't back by the vacating time, with out any contact, house keeping guys entered into my room put my stuff out. When I was back, was shocked seeing my luggage lying down in the front office and I found many of my personal belongings missing including few bucks and my bus tickets. Which made me to purchase them again. It was a worst situation I ever faced and I would never recommend this motel to anyone.

I was there two weeks before cruzin the coast n they made me leave I was paying weekly due to work here told me I had to leave are pay $369 for 3 nights. Thats insane besides microwave didn't work n I had roaches. Never again ill give them my business.

Hello world if you ever go to gulfport, please do not go there, it was awful experience that I have ever had me and my family an friends went there an when I tell you that we paid for our rooms in a month in advance, an still had to wait over 2 hours to get to thr rooms, after all that no towels no toliet paper the lamps dont work or the telephones didnt work either it didnt even matter what color you were they were all complaing to its sad that whens you go out town and you get treated like — — — — — — — — — — — — — — you feel in the blanks, how can you rate that but its the truth sun suites is just a dam name thats all forgot to mention no refrigerators a hot mess.

The worst hotel of all time. We had four people in a room, with plans to go the beach the majority of the time, so right away I went down to request two more towels (we only had two in the room), an extra pillow for my dad's bad neck, and an ashtray for him since he is a smoker (we were in a smoking room). Guess what we got? NOTHING. They refused to give us any extra towels, pillows, or an ashtray because "too many people have taken them home". I'm pretty sure if that happens you're supposed to charge the guest, and not take it out on every future guest. Not only this, but the air conditioning was leaking water into the carpet and literally the whole front half of the room near it was SOAKED, like walking on a ice cold sponge. We complained and got no support or a switch of rooms. It was a "too bad, go somewhere else" attitude. The air conditioning also made an extremely annoying dripping noise all night. No, that's not all. When we went down to get new towels (they said we could switch two dirty ones for two more), there was no one there! Only a sign on the door that said "Out of the office". No one was there for hours. What if there was an emergency? The only reason i'm giving this place one star is because I have to, but I guess for the cheap price. I still would have rather gone camping for free than stay in this place. For a traveler that doesn't spend more than $80 on a room ever, I know what to expect when getting a cheap room, and it is usually not too bad.

First of all, when I arrived at 3:30 for check-in the front door was locked and I could not check-in. Something about a shift change ok. Once I got checked in and got to my room with was suppose to be non smoking, all you could smell was smoke in the room. The room was horrible, the front door of one of the drawers was pulled off and lying in the floor. There where no towels in the room. I called the front desk for towels but I got no answer. I walk to the front desk and the clerk was outside in the parking lot with about 10 other folks partying they were drinking beer and eating crawfish. The clerk gave me two towels and when I got back to the room one towel was dirty had something all over it. The rooms are very old and out of date. Cheapest hotel down there but I guess you get what you pay for. I will not stay here every again.

Hotel is great! Especially since the new company and manager has taken it over! Rooms are nicely renovated, new internet service so your Wi-Fi never gets disconnected, front desk clerks are faboulous! They helped us with every little question we had! Only reason didn't give them a 5 star status their ice machine was broken during our last stay; (WOULD TOTALLY STAYED THERE AGAIN.
