Reviews of Golden Nugget Biloxi 4*
I insist, this is the best hotel in Biloxi and all the restaurants here are fantastic. The best is Michael Patrick's. Always great service and food. However the valet parking staff is a bunch of idiots who don't do their job. One ignored us completely and the other was lecturing us because we didn't park in the right lane (? ). Aren't they supposed to be in their area to tell us what to do? Management, take a note!
Very nice casino! All the staff were awesome to deal with. The room was very nice with a terrific view from the terrace! Parking area was surprisingly accommodating! (accommodates lg trucks with trailers) Had breakfast brought up to the room. It was very good! Had dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. GREAT meal! & Theresa sad it even more worth the visit! I will return as soon as I can.
I’m not one to leave reviews, but our recent trip to Biloxi makes it mandatory! This hotel/stay was absolutely incredible. From the Valet at the front doors, (Don gave us MANY suggestions regarding restaurants) to the staff at registration (Thank you Brenda! ) to the VIP assistance run by Jenny! We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations and Jenny’s efficiency and complete commitment to customer service was, without a doubt, the best service we’ve ever had at AT ANY hotel/casino. Definitely will return very soon.
We recently stayed at this location and was very pleased. The staff was great and check in was quick and simple. Meeche was the lady that checked us in and she was the best! Started our visit out right. Very helpful and offered us to come back with any questions any time. We had room 961 it was a jet tub suite and it was large, clean and very modern. We enjoyed the large flat screen at the end of the day to relax. The property overall is very clean and would recommend.
Food tasted great. Good flavor on everything Prepared well. Would have enjoyed more on a busy night. Wednesday night was slow and food wasn't turning over as much to keep the fresh pans coming. But overall, enjoyed. Will return.
Impressive casino property on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our room was not ready at check-in, but they quickly found and upgraded room at no additional charge. Morton's was a wonderful experience. Breakfast buffet was affordable, but could use more options. Definitely will return to the property.
Took 3.5 hours to get checked in. Room was not ready and we had reservations. They did offer a upgrade but we wanted our room that had a balcony and gulf view. Stayed 3 days and everything else was great. Staff was super nice not just a few but everyone we spoke to. Would recommend to anyone.
The crab was some of the best I've had that night, our waitress was amazing. Always enjoy their buffet. Going to have to downgrade my review since they changed their buffet policy. Now you have to pay extra for the crab and you get it at once instead of when you want. This means instead of getting a couple pieces at a time and eating it hot, you get a bucket that gets cold and nasty before you finish. Haven't gone back.
Everyone was courteous and friendly from the valet, bellman, front desk clerks to security. The hotel is well lit and easy to locate. I love this hotel and all its amenities! Even though the hotel looked full to capacity, there was minimum wait for service when I needed extra towels. The bed was comfortable but the pillows too soft and worn (definitely needs replacing). Also love the children-friendly pool.
It's a nice casino and motel. But if you are going to gamble, it's probably better to take your money elsewhere. Playing. 25,. 30,. 40, &. 50 at a time, I'm usually able to burn through $60 to $100 in no time at all. THE MACHINES DO NOT PAY OUT! It happens frequently, and I have realized that it it better to play elsewhere where at least I get a little playback. Losing is part of the game. But at least in other places I can play for a couple hours and hit more than $2.20 in a slot machine.
Very nice, but missed the mark for great. I was here for a convention so I got to experience a lot the hotel. Hotel room is good. The convention rooms are very nice and the staff was great for us. I found the casino to be on par with most other casinos of this tier. Just skip the buffet and definitely don't get crab legs. If you read the Google break down it sums it up well. But for those that want more details. The hotel room size, design and views are great, but the maintenance hurts the hotel a lot. The showers are as predictable as the roulette wheels downstairs — cold, hot, hot, cold, hot, goodbye skin. Also I found the shower incredibly uncomfortable, meaning it's design was difficult to get started and even actually washing up. While casinos go pretty straight forward, the Golden Nugget was very clean with good dealers. Again they miss the mark with barley any drinks coming to players.
I was surprised how clean and nice the casino was inside. The room was also very nice and had modern conveniences like an iPhone alarm clock that you can plug into and it charges the phone and sets the time and read your alarms from your phone and then you could actually unplug the phone and the clock was still on the right time with you are alarms. I enjoyed that I had a balcony View over the water looking at Deer Island. The staff for any hotel casino employees that I met with or very accommodating and polite and always smiled. So that was nice. No complaints.
Golden Nugget was an awesome Hotel/Casino to stay at with a wonderful bar and pool area, great restaurants, and an excellent staff. I'm knocking off a star because they took the "overpriced" aspect of hotel convenience to a whole new level. Room price was excellent, but I believe the downstairs convenience store 20 oz drinks ran $3.99 each? It may as well be an airport at those rates. Pro tip: Drink water or bring your own sodas with you.
Casino is first class. Lots of slot machines. Places to eat are good especially at Morton's Steak House. Restrooms are spotless and clean and always attended. Garage is easy to get in and out of. Located on Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi. Easy access from Interstate 10
Poor with getting what you book. I booked 2 queen non smoking. Not so on check in. I was told not available. Attitude at check in was poor was told it was not a guarantee with what I booked. Guess I will not stay here again. When they first opened their doors was a much nicer staff and made sure you got what you booked.
The rooms are fabulous, food is always fresh and the service is wonderful. You must go and enjoy the spa… Very relaxing! Bring your swimwear because the H2O pool will spoil you… It has a in pool bar.
We stayed in a room with a 2 queen beds with a terrace. This particular room design was attractive but the bathroom space was not functional. There was not enough counter space. There was no full length mirror, no mini fridge & even though the bottled water was free none was provided. It's not the Casinos fault but Mississippi tap water tastes like fish, It's awful. However if you needed anything the staff was accommodating upon request. The satellite TV had minimal channels but did have many children networks. The beds were clean but very uncomfortable. When I tucked the sheets between the mattress & box spring; I could feel the springs poking through. They only had 3 pillows on each bed so if you live close bring a couple of your own. There were only 4 electric outlets & only 2 worked properly. There was no cell phone charging station. So you were constantly playing musical plugs. The in room coffee maker was nice but if you like your coffee light your constantly scrounging for creamers. We enjoy the buffet especially the snow crab night. MP's 24 hour cafe grill had delicious food. The black & blue steak salad was so good I had it 2 nights in a row. The greens were fresh & the steak was marinated & cooked to perfection. My traveling companion raved about the Cajun Roast Beef PO Boy as well. The pool & hot tub was clean & relaxing. I had my hair washed & trimmed at the spa; it came out soft & silky & the products left my hair smelling great and shining like never before.
I went to take a friend to eat king crab legs. I checked the website it said they still had them. After getting there paying for everything. I found out that they didn't have them anymore and was informed that they were trying something new. Nothing was new it was the same stuff and the buffet was over priced. I was also informed that the website was not theirs. Even though it is their official site. Our waitress was the best part about the whole visit. I was lied to my face. Their are other, better casino's to eat at that are cheaper.
First I want to say my wife and I had a great time at the casino. But the hotel was a different story. When we got there we found pubic hair on the toilet seat. We also found hair in the tub on the walls. There's also a bunch of hair and dirt on the floor in the corners of the bathroom and I also wrote my name in the dust on the shelves in the bathroom. I talk to management and have not heard back. We stayed January 31 and the 1st of February. I notified them first day. I got an apology and they offered me a breakfast buffet. I told him I would come back and see. When I came back the manager wasn't there and I asked for a lunch buffet they told me they could not approve that because the supervisor was not there. My wife and I are very disappointed we flew down from Minnesota. For a week-long vacation and decided to stay at the Golden Nugget for 2 days. Great view great Casino horrible cleaning service. Like I said quite a bit of hair little too gross for me. Thanks Casino management for NOT getting back with me. It shows me how much you care. I don't like asking for much but when I pay some decent money. There's a standard I expect. And the bathroom is a huge deal for me. Just gross.
Beautiful rooms and fun spot! I would suggest not going to the buffet expecting steak since it’s only fried food. For someone who is gluten intolerant paying 32 dollars was not good but the manager thankfully worked it out and refunded the money. The slots were fun but they need more wheel of fortune ones, that was my fav. Ordered room service and it was hot and fresh. Loved it! Friendly staff and smiling faces. You will smell like a cigarette as it’s all smoking in the casino but can find machines away. Only thing I noticed was servers at the casino hitting the high players but not offering drinks to anyone else. So bring your own.
Participated in a 5k run with the local Salvation Army. It was a nice event for a good cause. However, the weather did not cooperate. It was 34 degrees, 21 degrees wind chill, and the run over the bridge, up the hill, had 14MPH wind in your face. It was brutal at the start, but much better on the return. The wind assisted everyone getting back to the start/finish line. Good times.
It's a pretty place to go and stay it's on the Biloxi side of the golf with great views and nice places to eat. The slots seem to be way too tight where you do not get play for your money you would think they would loosen them a little bit so people could enjoy coming and visiting there and you feel like you got your money's worth of enjoyment. It seems to me that a lot of the casinos are running away their Cash Cow tales of the business.
Just checked in. And not satisfied at all. There isn’t a fridge in the room. Unless you pay additional $30/night for the suite. I’ve been to tons of casinos and this is ridiculous. Hotel room is nice I guess. I hate the shower door. Got cheesesteak at The 24 hour Michael Patrick which was awful. Tasted bland and bread falling apart. Cafe had trash on tables and we were sitting for 30 Minutes. What a disaster and I just checked in.
This casino is great! It has a wide variety of places and ways to play and several restaurants available. It was very clean and well tended. I would definitely go there again. I also would stay overnight there as well if I had the opportunity.
The casino/machines were great, I loved playing. New member rewards weren't fantastic. It's hard to get drinks, I'm used to most places you order a drink from your machine, where as here you had to catch a waitress whenever one passes. Service when getting our card since it was our first time there, was absolutely horrible. Got our cards and played some, then returned for a promotion and because my husband and I stood at the counter together she was extremely rude, didn't ask for one to step back or try to resolve her issue, but continued to smart mouth about our entire transaction, so rude I was ready to leave the entire casino, which was unfortunate because it was a great casino otherwise.
The Golden Nugget is a decent casino in Biloxi. There are many different casinos to choose from, and the Golden Nugget provides a good evening of gambling and games. There is a Starbucks in the casino, so you can go meet all of your coffee needs while you play. There are a good amount of slots, but not much variety in table games (mostly poker and blackjack. ) All in all, I'd give it an evening and see if you hit anything.
They serve you well with a lot of respect. I courtesy.
The Golden Nugget Casino is one of the most popular here in Biloxi. The food is good with Morton's being fantastic. Lillies is also a favorite. The rooms are nice, however they do lack in amenities common in today's hotel… like little refrigerator and microwave. All in all I give this casino a B+
I like the Golden Nugget hotel. I like the Golden Nugget casino. It is a nice, comfortable room. In the past the air handlers have been extremely noisy… I didn't notice it so much this time… thank heavens. There is a cigarette smoke and ventilation in the casino… that could be much better. But overall, this is a nice place.
I will be back great place and kid friendly. It was a great vacation since were from Minnesota my kids have never been to the gulf and never get to wear shorts and a t-shirt in the winter. Every time my kids have a day off from school they ask if we can drive to Golden Nugget, I wish!
Always have a wonderful time even when I'm not winning I still enjoy the atmosphere and the wonderful restaurants and other amenities. I only wish that they wouldn't close the 3rd floor swimming pool so early in the season. This is the wonderful south that we are in and can spend christmas on the beach and be very warm and happy with it. sincerely a very satisfied member and frequent guest (usually about 3 to 4 times a month we stay a few days.
The buffet was your average casino fare, tasty and filling. It holds its own against most gulf coast buffets I've eaten at. Also, we visited post hurricane so things were just getting back to normal. All in all, a nice place to stop in and recharge.
Had a great time here. The buffet was awesome. The gaming was second to none. My room was very comfortable. My only issue was the shower. It was a bit tight, other than that, no complaints.
I use to love it here, not so much anymore. The are more rude employees than nice ones. The comp room zone usually has a black out date on it. Takes forever to get deposit back on card and I haven't won much of nothing in the last couple months and I'm in her atleast twice a week. Time to find new casino.
Nice place, servers were attentive. Not as much variety in the games as the Vegas location though. I suppose that's to be expected. Didn't stay the night, just ate, drank and played some games. Buffet was good, but I feel it was a bit overpriced as compared to the other casinos around there.
We wanted to experience the pool here so we left hard rock and come to the nugget because we heard it was awesome. I had my 18 year old daughter with me and it was beyond uncomfortable for her to go from room to pool or room to restaurant. She never attempted to go to casino but the yelling at her from check point to check point was harassing. Even when we walked with her they would stop us and verify she was a minor. We will never go back. Even without a minor. Food was bad and I actually got food poisoning from the oysters on the buffet. I was violently sick for 3 days. Very dated. Go somewhere else.
Excellent location, attention, and very very clean, that fascinated me.
Golden Nugget is my favorite of the casino hotels to stay at. The rates are very reasonable and if you have comp rooms, they allow you to upgrade to a suite of you would like for a very reasonable few. The standard rooms are still very roomy and nice, though. The beds are extremely comfortable. The pool area is very nice. It is designed more for adults than children though. Their is a bar designed to swim up to and a hot tub pod area. It is a very nice pool area though and my kids love it. There is a nice diversity in the restaurants so there is something for everyone. They also have a Starbucks and an ice cream shop. If you're looking for somewhere to relax and be pampered they have a spa located in the hotel that also has its own pool. If you're there for the gaming, the gaming floor is very large and open and also has a small non-smoking section on the 2nd floor. Hope you enjoy your stay here. We always do!
Excellent place, and the Buffet very rich all.
Stopped in for dinner on the way home from a long drive and have to say the buffet was nothing exciting unless you want crab. I did enjoy the King, Snow, and Dungeness all you can eat Crab. They only serve the Dungeness on the weekend. It was good but not fresh. Maybe frozen for too long. Could've been the day we went which was a Friday but I think they could serve more fresh seafood (crab), and provide a wider variety of other foods (seemed less than your average asian buffet), for the cost we paid per adult was not worth the price. But I will give 4 stars because I love crabs, and our server was awesome. She was one of the best buffet servers I've met. If you want unlimited OK crabs this is a good place for that but you might find better crab at a steakhouse. — just saying.
The price is not the best. The selection on the buffet could be better. Service was wonderful 07/28/2016 So I went back today. I had to keep asking for a drink refill. My friend was ignored the whole time. We watch a guy have a pitcher and 3 glasses full of drink spilled on him. Was never offered a towel or any compensation. There were joking but no definite apologies. I wanted some soup but all the soups had crawfish in it. I am allergic to that shellfish. Went to get a plate and there none. When they did get them out there they still had food on them.
The conference/ballroom area is nice and free of to many distractions. The business center is a computer and one printer and no tech support. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is hit or miss. Connected one minute and down the next. This is not an efficient place for a conference vendor to get any work done; it doesn't accommodate for it. Service was great. The front desk, waitresses and dealers are fantastic. Thanks for a fun couple of nights. Good place for a conference but the hotel need to invest in the business area.
We ayate at Bubba Gumps restaurant at the hotel and liloved it. I definitely recommend sitting out on the balcony. You can feel the blast of the air conditioning and enjoy being outside. The hotels pool is amazing and the swim up bar is a blast.
The room are modern with nice bedroom and bathroom, but the rooms weren't quite as clean as I would expect. There were little things like water spots and a chocolate smear o ln the chair in the room. The price was good, just not the quality and cleanliness we expected.
Big fancy casino. Machines are set to make money. I didn't win a penny there. Nice swimming pools and workout room. The food is good but expensive. If you have under aged kid it's a pain. They can't go anywhere without an adult.
First we reserved a room and called ahead of time to make sure it would not be given away. They gave it away anyway, and over charged us on the room as it was not the rate we originally saw. We got a room and booked it for a week. We wanted it to be charged to a certain card, but they ended up double charging us. We thought we would have to leave as they had taken all of our vacation money. It took 4 days to get it figured out. Secondly, I am a vegan and brought microwavable foods with me. This hotel does not provide fridges or microwaves so you are forced to eat at their restaurants. That would be fine if the only option wasn't salad. They did not accommodate my special dietary needs, so I snuck in a microwave. The pools and casino slots are lots of fun, however some of the security guards are unnecessarily harsh as some people look younger than their age. I first arrived and left my purse in the car to be packed with the luggage, I had to use the restroom do to the long drive. The security guard stopped me and I explained I needed to use the restroom. He denied me access. I can understand the rules do to the casino floor, but come on. The lady staff working the front desk was very rude and impatient. The double charging that happened was very frightening for my family and caused a lot of distress. The restaurants are nice and the staff there are extremely attentive, the rooms are clean and the housekeepers do a fantastic job.
I love the Golden Nugget! The staff is always very friendly and the entire hotel is extremely clean. The only problem that I noticed was that the valet service gets extremely crowded on the weekends and sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes for someone to come give you a ticket so that you can leave your car. But that's still a lot less time than some other casino/hotel valet services. The location is amazing within walking distance from the beach and the pool at the hotel is also amazing. Very big and clean. The buffet is decent but there's not a huge variety. However, the foods that they do offer are pretty tasty and presented well.
Wonderful Casino, we went as part of a family vacation, ant it was great. We all had a wonderful time and will be back. Bubba Gump's was a great way to start the night also.
Tried to get a room the night before but they were full up. When I asked about the next night the lady rolled her eyes and said yeah they would have a room. Seem to me like she should have booked the room right then and there. Also saw a lot of eye rolling at the. Cool but not friendly.
I went to bubba Gump restaurant and it was great. A little pricey but the food was good. The waitresses that waited were good. The atmosphere was a party type environment and was fitting for the occasion.
Tight slot machines, Host at the Casino seems to go the other direction when he sees us, how rude, want a new Casino Host, I am firing the one that ur Casino assigned to My husband & I, Stopped getting Complimentary rooms, no more food credits & poorly ran by new a new General Manager that came from Boomtown Casino, why do u think that he is not at Boomtown anymore, makes u wanna go Hummmmm, We stop by only to see the security people & Cocktail waitress as they r the only light of the Casino at Golden Nugget… How sad…
It's very difficult to find handicap parking in the garage. There were very few spots for handicapped guests. I reserved two rooms for our stay. One of our rooms had a tub that was dripping water. Someone left the water stopper in the tub and it was slowing filling the tub. Our second room had a strong chemical smell. This was my parents room. While trying to rest, my dad heard a knock at the door. He asked the person knocking to please hold on. Suddenly, the door opened and a man walked into their room! My dad was caught off guard and yelled at the man. The man apologized and claimed he didn't know someone was in the room. He was there to pick up a fan that was blowing… I'm guessing it was to air out the chemical smell in the room. The whole casino/ hotel set up was very confusing and not a pleasant experience. There were no luggage carts to assist with taking up our luggage, etc. Unfortunately, this Golden Nugget has a long way to go to match the caliber of service and cleanliness as the Lake Charles location. We also paid $30 each to eat at the buffet. The hostess was not very friendly and was a bit rude when my parents asked if they offered an AARP discount. They received the discount at The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. The hostess was short and simply said "no". The food at the buffet was not good and we were very disappointed with our dinner experience. We will not be staying at this Golden Nugget ever again.
There's plenty to do at the Golden Nugget. The only issue we had was the cigarette smoke was so bad that my eyes were burning and nose ran the whole time I was there. I would suggest going to a smoke free Casino if you have allergies or The Hard Rock. The hard Rock is more open and the smoke isn't bad at all.
The price is not the best. The selection on the buffet could be better. Service was wonderful.
I loved the Golden Nugget. It was a wonderful experience, beautiful room with an amazing veiw. The casino was super fun. I've never slept in a bed more comfortable either. The only complaint is Bubba Gump's and my husband didn't like the shower which of course I loved. Can't wait to go back and stay maybe longer next trip.
Quaint atmosphere that is more small in comparison with the rest of the casino and around the city. His section free of smoke is small and there are not offers the best quality of slot machines. The Golden Nugget Casino is not as lively, and doesn't offer many activities as the others.
Not a good experience. Went to bubba gumps for dinner. The food was great, but the service was absolutely awful, maybe they were hurting having a bad night. Food took 2 hours to get, but got it for free at least. The check in staff we had was also vicious. No smiles, only glares that day. Also a terrible place to take children. They can only be in the pool before 6 on weekends, and anyone under 21 isn't allowed to leave the hotel room alone. Have to walk a 20 year old to the pool since you have to go through the middle of the casino to get to it. Terrible design. Great place if you want to sit in cigarette smoke and push a flashing button, not good for much else.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our TV wouldn't work to order movies, I called the front desk to see what was going on and within 10 minutes they had someone up to help us with it. We also didn't do bad at the casino. The room was really nice with digitally controlled thermostat. We got the king balcony room. I have been very pleased doing business with them and for the cheap price, you can't beat it! Everything is an A+ from me!
Staff (check-in, restaurant, casino and bar) extremely friendly and professional. Room was well-appointed and clean. Easy parking and close access to entrances. Buffet was a good balance and reasonably priced. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Inside was good for what it is (tourist, theme chain). All-in-all, would have no hesitation in recommending the Golden Nugget to others for overnight or single event.
I recently stayed at this hotel for the first time with a friend of mine. The stay was amazing when we got there an was in line to check in they young lady greeted us with a pleasant smile like she loved her job! Her words to us was very polite " hello welcome to golden nugget may I see your ID an a method of payment for the deposit? ". She truly gave us a good feeling while she was doing her job she kept a conversation with us that was pleasant an very professional. She made wonderful eye contact. She gave us a free upgrade to a junior suite with two beds an told us it was based availability! We loved it after she gave us the room keys she directed us towards the hotel elevators she was still professional an polite to us. The room was just amazing so we went back down to thank the young lady for the wonderful room an to get her name! When I asked her name she told me it was Kayla an still smiling an making us feel like we a home! This young lady needs to have a better spot than she has because she was more helpful to us than some of the mangers there not the hotel mangers but the casino mangers! So if u stay here an go to check in I hope u get Mrs. Kayla she is the best! Now the food was ok but not worth what we pd for the workers in the buffet was rude an very unpleasant manors. I only gave this a 5star because of the young hotel clerk Mrs Kayla. We will definitely return to golden nugget just where she can check us in.
Worst customer service in the buffet area. The front cashier and manager were very rude to us. We had to wait about 5 minutes before they could get to us because according to their cashier they were handling a "very important problem" that was more important than the customer. There were more registers open and we were the only customers in line. The girl had an attitude for the rest of the check out because she wasn't able to solve her problem. To my knowledge the customer is always first. This was not the case for our situation.
I love the Nugget! They always treat me like VIP and send me all kinds of offers! I just had dinner at Morton's Steakhouse and the staff is amazing, outstanding customer service, sweet smiles and delicious food! We had my best friends birthday there and they let you pick any desert of your choice and there's no charge, it's on the house! It's a great place to be and of the pool is the very best on the coast! Thank you GN.
I liked the rooms very much. The location is beautiful and the restaurant's great (oh yeah the gambling is good to.
The Gold Nugget is a beautiful casino with great customer service. The only negative would be the long walk from the parking lot to the casino front desk then to your hotel room.
Tight slots, boring table games, same old people there, food fair. Although the ladies in the 24/7 grill area were friendly. The managers I met had no customer service. Lady at front desk was very overweight, unfriendly, unattractive, and made me leave the casino. Won't return. Let's be honest. They give u free rooms because nobody visits this casino. Who wants to play on old machines that hardly work? Very few tables? Tip-get ur elevators fixed.
Mediocre, dated, and boring. Bad service in sports bar, refused volume for UFC match though cited as UFC bar. Never again.
3 weeks in a row, we are spending two nights here. My favorite place to stay on the coast. Won a jackpot last week, most I have ever won anywhere ever! Also love the restaurants and breakfast in room is very fast and wonderful. Going to try the spa this week, past due for a massage!
Great place. Affordable, clean, and nice rooms. Good restaurants and friendly atmosphere.
I got to see the Hand of Faith but the security guard didn't know if it was a real golden nugget. In all reality it looked like a spray painted piece of foam. Also my friend waited for over an hour for his food at Bubba Gump restaurant only to aquire no food.
Rooms are very nice! The view from the 12th floor is awesome. Staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy.
1. As expensive as it is to eat at the buffet the food should be way better. Everything tasted so bland. 2. Nobody hits big at this casino. 3. People were smoking in the non smoking area. 4. My machine didnt print out my cash out voucher I waited 20 minutes with my service light on and finally had to ask my husband to find someone who worked there to help me. That also took awhile. This casino has went down hill since it became the golden nugget. Isle of capri was 100 times better.
Was so excited about staying here. I went back and forth between Golden Nugget and Hard Rock. Well, booked it, Golden Nugget immediately took out $368.00 to book the reservation. They boast free cancellation. But, what they don't tell you is you don't get that money back for WEEKS! It's been 2 weeks since my cancellation and still haven't received my $368.00 back! Most people need their money! I called them, and they said it takes 9-15 days to get it back. Well, I'm on day 14 now and still no return of my money. They have no problem getting it immediately when you book! So, that being said… DO NOT BOOK WITH GOLDEN NUGGET BILOXI BECAUSE IF YOU DO HAVE TO CANCEL THEY DONT GET YOUR MONEY BACK TO YOU! They brag free cancellation oh yea, you get to cancel free of charge while they make weeks of interest off of your money and don't give it back! My next call is to the BBB to see if they can help me get my money!
Great experience and good comps. I will definitely go back. The buffet is small but it had everything that we wanted including king and snow crab legs.
Like a fool I decided to give this crappy place a 4th chance (i know… slow learner) … theee bigggest rip-off of any casino we have been to! people… save your money all you are doing is literally "working" while there while they laugh at the poor schmucks making them money through their camera's, and paying for their construction… that's it, plain & simple! hate that I had to give it one star. I'm pretty sure that at least half of the "high praises" that are in these reviews work for the casino.
Fun… but the stale smoke smell that occurred around the clock leaves a lot to be desired. Clean rooms. Pool is awesome and that's the most alluring thing about this place. Most workers were friendly, however, the check-in and check-out women… just RUDE! RUDE! RUDE… but what do you expect… they surely must not get paid enough to greet the public. Maybe furthering their education is in order… Won't be back there.
Booked on our way back from a week in NOLA. Thought we would spend a night in Biloxi. Booked through Book It, room was great, clean, modern and cheap in comparison. Loved it so much stayed an extra day and toured the surrounding area and hung at the awesome pool with swim up bar. The slots are not forgiving, very tight. Best bet is to put money down at tables and try your luck there. If we would have won money it would be a 5 ;).
Stayed at the Nugget in April for a golf outing 16 golfers. This was the third year in a row that we stayed and it will be the last. For the third year in a row our rooms were not ready when we arrived, a few were most were not until between 430pm and 5pm. I asked the check in person if our host was in, she said yes, went in the back and came back with our passes for golf and comp tickets. She never came out to say hello or anything. We spend about 8000.00 dollars not including our gambling each year and all I got was a card saying have a good time. I was upgraded to an junior suite which isn't much different that a regular room. I like the casino and the rooms are clean but that is as far as it goes. We will be staying somewhere next year where our business is appreciated.
I attended the Chrisette Michele concert in the Grand Ballroom and it was very nice. The seats were sat a little too close for my liking, my mother had to sit on half of my seat because the guest next to her took up extra space. After the show we walked through the casino, past the buffet, which smelled awesome! I look forward to staying overnight here next time.
After just walking in and playing all day we got free rooms, free dinner and an upgraded gold room big enough for 4 adults! All the guys and gals were nice. And lillie's was the best and most fresh Asian food I've ever had.
Where to start: The whole location smells like a musky ashtray. Even in the "non-smoking" slots there were smokers and staff didn't ask them to move or to put it out. The food. I ate at The Buffet and it was an overpriced bad Golden Corral-wantabe. I even ordered room service that came from Michael Patrick’s Sports Café and Grille. It was overcooked, missing items, and overpriced for the quality. The rooms were thinly-walled and you'd hear all kinds of stuff all throughout the day and night. There were no microwaves, fridges, or other "standard" amenities that you would find in a normal hotel/motel. Here you pay "resort fees" while getting less. The maid service was abysmal. Dusty everywhere, soap scum on the shower glass, and dirty carpets. The closet door had some kind of oily, greasy smear on it. I am disabled and when I checked in the valet and bellhop was not helpful. Told me I couldn't use a cart to get my luggage to the room, but he would do it only if I tip him. Same with my car and parking. I was told by valet there wasn't really any disabled parking nearby. I don't know how a business like that doesn't follow ADA laws and guidelines. While staying a manager named Chad called me and left his number so that when we checked out at the end of he week the luggage service would be on him. We checked out and tried to get Chad though the front desk said it was okay and they would handle it.
They have really upgraded the casino, hotel, it's amenities, the Wi-Fi and especially the pool. That is were it ends however, the customer service is still desperate for an upgrade and the prices are a little steep. You can have a good time here but in some cases be prepared to do it without the help of the employees. Not very family friendly due to the internal layout of the services offered. Most are inside the 21 and older access points.
The rooms were very nice and clean. But the slots were not at all good. All we could fine was the pennie slots untill the last day of our stay and we found the. 25 cent slots. Hope the next time we come we will win something. I WAS THEIR IN January 2015 and it was the same way play a lot and dont win. It just not like it use to be you would see people win on the slots a lot but not any more. Don"t need all the pennie slots.
Definitely not smoke free, which is disgusting that people still smoke. And inside, for that matter. Trash. Just trash. It smells like a Mississippi trailer park inside. I would give zero stars but that's not an option.
WARNING! If you get promised a king room with a jacuzzi, it isn't gonna happen! Smoke and mirrors. At check in they will then say, "based on availability you aren't getting what you booked". When before was promised in writing. Then the clerks will do nothing at all but have a take it or leave it attitude and you are stuck. And as far as the room itself, really nice except the view is a roof top and a/c units with signs and the sky. So to get my review clear, for the extra money for an upgraded room, you get a nice room but with wrong beds, jacuzzi not placed like photo and a view of the sky and sign lights blaring in your room.
Great Customer Service, Great Amenities, Great Comps.
Quite possibly the worst casino/hotel experience. There are too many great casinos to visit. As they say, you can be put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. It's obvious Human Resources is not a priority here. I actually checked out a day early.
First impressions are lasting, Or in this case my last, I will NEVER step foot on this property again, I visited when they first changed the name and started the make over, I allowed for the normal little inconveniences and lack of detail to customer service and satisfaction thinking the circumstances it was to be expected. Today I visited the property again, My Wife and I had intended to have dinner at the Buffet and then spend some time playing after, Well our experience at the Buffet changed those plans in a hurry, It started with the $27.95 Seafood Buffet, Its better you just skip it and go to Red Lobster or some other little chain restaurant at 1/2 the price, The seating is elbow to elbow, The food is cold, tasteless and in many cases just totally inedible, voicing these issues to the manager on duty got an offer to get some fresh hot fried catfish from the back and the same for the crab legs. When I said that did little to correct anything. After several minutes of expressing my dissatisfaction he offered a comp to come back another night, I ask you would you go back to a place where virtually everything was substandard and that seemed to be the accepted standard by the staff. It cost me $90.00 at the Buffet for the 3 of us to leave hungry and disgusted with the experience, and it will cost me another $60 to $80 somewhere else so we will eat tonight.
The pool party is wonderful had a great time. BUT it should be kid friendly. This is a Casino where the age is 21 years old to drink and party. The staff needs training and they are not very nice. Walls are very thin, heard everyone talking in hallways and the room next door. Overall is it is just okay.
Their rooms are nice but the customer service is terrible. They put us in a room that was by the area where the band plays. All I could hear was the constant booming of the bass. I could not even hear my tv. I called the front desk twice and they couldn't have cared less. They pretty much said "oh well. Deal with it. " If I am paying over $200 a night, that is unacceptable. I don't know if they have thin walls but I could hear every conversation going on in the rooms next to us. The cocktail servers are so rude. I cannot drink alcohol. She came to me and asked if I would like anything to drink, I asked for a water. She had one on her and handed it to me. All drinks are complimentary, but I got a tiny bottle of water and tipped her 2 bucks. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I will NEVER stay here again. This would be such a nice place to stay if they worked on their customer service skills. Oh and the slots do NOT pay. Next time I will try my luck at The Palace.
You will not find a better pool on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. The best things I can say about the staff of H2O is they are CLEAN and follow the rules consistently. This hotel and pool sits on the Point Cadet Marina and indeed the area is ship shape. While the hotel also offers a 2nd spa pool on the 3rd floor, H2O has a new upscale resort atmosphere most welcomed in Biloxi. Bubba Gump is just upstairs and while simple, the pool menu never fails to satisfy all day. Relax in a private bed or island a splurge worth you will not regret or forget.

Parking was very maze like. Once parking space was found finding casino was easy. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Music was way too loud over speakers. The layout was scattered and no real atmosphere for my taste. Servers were abundant and very friendly and quick to return. Offered a variety of slots in many types of denominations. The bar that sat in middle of casino floor seemed quiet and remote from outside gaming noises.
