I want to give this place 0 stars — this has been the worse stay we have had and we have been traveling a lot this spring/summer. I called on Friday morning and inquired about paying cash for the room. The person I talked to was rude and condescending. A little while later another person called me back and she was just as bad. I called another hotel in the city who must manage this hotel as well and talked to someone who must be a manager. Against my better judgement I kept my reservation, but things only got worse! We were in Room 103 and it reeked of stale smoke. We knew we wouldn't be there much so we kept the room and left to visit friends. We came back and our daughter wanted us to make her a bed on the floor since the beds were really small. I asked my husband to go get 2 extra blankets and 2 extra pillows. When he asked at the front desk, they told him no he didn't need them. After some bickering with them they finally gave us 2 blankets but no pillows. We were gone the whole day the 2nd day and came back and asked for extra towels. There was discussion as to why we needed them — really? There are 4 of us and you gave us 3 small, old, paper thin towels. We have been in a lake all day and we all need to take showers. We checked out Sunday morning and while at our event that we were in town for, I get a call from the hotel that there is a pillow missing from the room and I would need to bring it back.

Awful customer service. Was quoted $67 for a one night stay. I ended up getting charged double that amount. When I tried contacting the owner about this, he called me a liar (even though I have the confirmation email that proved it) and he hung up on me. Ultimately they refused to honor the quoted amount. The hotel itself was mediocre. I’ve stayed at a lot nicer places for less than what this place charges.

My boyfriend and his family stay every year at the 8 for the Jefferson swap meet for the spring and fall meet. When we walked into the lobby with the 6 people that were staying a new attendant was at the desk and he checked us in and gave us a lower price than what it was supposed to be nevertheless the pricing was on the website for Thursday-Sunday pricing. When the owner (I think) got to the hotel the next day he must have noticed that apparently it was wrong and the price he booked us for was supposed to be higher. My boyfriend had to either pay him more money or he was going to just keep the $100 security deposit. He ended up keeping the security deposit minus $9. I’ve noticed it seems like they are money hungry. Wouldn’t suggest staying there at all, especially since the desk people can’t get things straight. Seems like they scam other people too from looking at he reviews. Breakfast is gross and has no choices other than cereal, waffles, toast juice and some over ripe fruit. The rooms are cramped and should only have a single bed in the room because that’s how small the rooms are. Needless to say we were absolutely not impressed by our stay at all. They were also super rude.

First room was smoky (Room 103) but front desk was courteous and prompt in getting me another room. Smaller hotel without a pool but beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, the place is quiet, the rates are reasonable, and the breakfast gets the job done.

The lady at the desk was very kind and the rooms were nice and clean.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions. Always clean and quiet. The breakfast won't knock your socks off but for the price its all good.

It was a pleasant place to stay for a night. I wish it had a pool but it's not a big deal. The rooms were clean and the customer service were kind.

Pleasantly surprised. This Super 8 was better than some Holiday Inn Expresses that I've stayed at. Remember that this is in Whitewater, WI and there is only one other hotel. Have an open mind.

The hotel was clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. I wish yogurt was provided at breakfast.

No food here. It's across the lot — nothing to do with the Super 8. Room was moldy, said they were full and couldn't offer a better room that night. Guy across the hall said they were all like that. Yuck!

Super8 is great value. Our room was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The coffee pot malfunctioned, and the breakfast was minimal but adequate. For these reasons, I'm withholding a 5th star. We had a nice overnight stay.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, but on the firm side for me. (Sleep Number 25 here) Super-soft sheets. Decoration was oldish, but who cares, really? One of our 3 towels was the coarse type, but I don't care about that either. They dry me and they don't scratch my skin or anything. If you're willing to pay an extra $30 — $70 per night for soft towels and more recent decoration, that's up to you, but the sleeping experience won't be any better. The breakfast, I considered pretty good. They have a Malted Golden waffle maker; I love these things. Fresh apples and bananas, cold cereal, pre-packaged cinnamon rolls and a couple types of bread. Yogurt and apple and orange juices, as well as coffee and tea. You really have to have fancy taste to not be satisfied by this. I won't hesitate to stay here again.

I understand that this is a 2 star hotel and you get what you pay for, but that doesn't mean the customer service has to be 2 star! Hardly any smiles, the receptionist during the daytime barely even LOOKS at me when I walk through the lobby or talk to her, and if I do talk to her, she can't even bother to make eye contact! Very impersonal! I feel like as a guest I shouldn't be the one greeting the person WHOSE JOB IT IS TO GREET PEOPLE AND HELP THEM CHECK IN! Very disappointed.

Rooms are a bit small, and a bit expensive for the area and for what they are, but the room is nice enough. Staff is friendly. Designed for going out downtown and staying out late.

Absolutely terrible service. Our remote control was busted and the girl working the front desk did not want to bring us a new remote to the room. When she finally agreed, she then asked our friend who walked through the lobby to bring it to us instead of doing her job herself.

Clean room, comfortable firm mattress, good price. Would recommend.

For a budget hotel it was nice with a decent breakfast selection and the Wi-Fi was spoty at some times… Was just fine for a one night stay.

Absolutely friendly staff the girl at the front desk when I checked in was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. I reserved the room over the internet through Expedia. Did not know I could do it straight through super 8 the young girl at the front desk also informed me of that I have stayed at other super 8s and no-one has ever mentioned it. I will use their web site from now on.
