Beautiful new hotel with fantastic restaurant!

Still in awe with this hotel. Spent two days with my family for a quick ski trip to Granite Peak. It’s literally a 5 min drive to the mountain. The hotel is gorgeous and not what I expected with a Hilton Garden Inn. The coziest lobby with fireplace. We drank wine and played cards for hours and the staff was nothing but accommodating. Rooms are spacious, great beds, pillows, very modern and fresh. Indoor pool/jacuzzi was super clean and modern. The restaurant-I’d go there just to eat dinner again. Make a reservation as they are very popular and book up. Thankfully the owner Chris was kind enough to help us get a table. Best food I’ve had in a long time. (Whole Bronzino, roasted lamb leg and fig and speck flatbread) Breakfast was also wonderfully simple by the fireplace. This is a hidden gem. Great owners, great staff — well run. As a small business owner myself, Kudos. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing service! the room was so spacious with huge windows with great view. Breakfast was a variety of fresh fruit, pastries and hot entrees. I would highly recommend.

I had the Sunday breakfast buffet and it was excellent! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I was promptly greeted by Ryan at the front desk who directed me to the buffet and the waitress Jackie came and immediately greeted me at my table. The buffet servers were also friendly. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!

What a neat experience from the time you walked into the door and until you left. What a wonderful place to spend with family. It was beautiful, food was delicious as were the drinks and the staff was five stars. Can’t wait to do it again.

We just stayed there for one night and it was a wonderful hotel. Very clean hotel. They did not offer the buffet style breakfast on Sundays but you can order off the menu and let me tell you it was very delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and we had great service. The only thing I would say is the pool bathrooms were not attended to and we did have to call down a couple times to have someone bring some towels but it wasn't a big deal. We will definitely be going back this hotel is definitely located in a great location just minutes from restaurants and downtown.

The Igloos at the Hilton provided a beautiful and unique/ private experience. Food was delicious. Only complaint is that it felt pretty rushed due to the time limit of 1.5 hours for reservation.

I practically live here for work. They are so friendly and thoughtful and help immediately with any concern or issue that may arise. Even though other places may be less expensive this is where to go if you want that extra special touch from the staff. The food is wonderful and who can beat a hot tub and pool at your disposal?! One of the best stays I’ve had! Housekeeping’s little note was so appreciated after a long day at work. The igloos outside are a special dining experience too.

We stayed there for a family visit for 2 nights. Nicest and most modern hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Very clean and the staff was phenomenal! When we were checking in a lady interrupted our check in twice and the girl checking us in was so professional and polite. I highly recommend it for the hotel, one, and the staff, two. The rooms were gorgeous and the bar/restaraunt was fabulous. Breakfast and dinners were good and the rooms were nice.

Fantastic representation of the Hilton brand. Rooms are large, spacious and really quiet. Internet was fast. Water was not horribly over softened as is the case at so many other hotels. Wading pool for young children was great. Pool and hot tub were great as well. Didn't use the fitness room, but it looked well equipped. Breakfast was superb (thanks Lisa). Front desk staff were super helpful. Honestly, I can't think of one single negative on this hotel. Can't wait to go back here.

Fantastic service! Clean and spacious rooms, great and very affordable breakfast, quiet. I cannot say enough positive things about the hotel. The staff is phenomenal. I left my Kindle in the room. They found it and shipped it to me. I received it in two days. Thank you!

We stop here to supercharge our Tesla when passing through. The decor is very nice and modern. Bathroom is spacious and clean 24/7 No matter what time we arrive. The bar and restaurant serves up delicious food plus the staff is very courteous and nice. Would totally stay here if need arises and highly recommend to all!

Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Huge rooms, everything was new and we'll maintained. Loved this hotel, felt like I was walking into a fancy 5 star hotel!

The venue was gorgeous and well presented. My one issue is the staff didn't do a good job bussing our plates and keeping refreshments stocked. They had quite a few events going on at the same time so I'm not certain if their service suffered as a result or if that is what it is always like.

I have a sales territory of primarily Iowa and Wisconsin and this is HANDS DOWN the best hotel in my territory… gotta find a good corporate rate because it is pricey… would’ve given 5 stars if they didn’t get you on their avg rates of $175/night.

Was there for a job fair, interior did not disappoint, very upscale and sophisticated feel it was my first time in a Hilton so truthfully I was a bit intimidated to be honest as just out of curiosity I inquired about the price of a room for one night (around $170 before taxes). When I can afford the room I will definitely return to see if it measures up to all the hype and determine whether I feel I got my money's worth. I doubt I'll be disappointed lol.

This is the best Hilton Garden Inn I've ever stayed in! Wow! The architecture is unlike anything you've ever seen and they definitely did a great job. My large room had a picture window with a beautiful view of the mountains. All the furnishings were top notch too. The staff was the best I've ever encountered. I had to stay an extra night because of a snowstorm and they were very accommodating and I was able to keep the same room without moving. The bartender, Zac, was very friendly and I enjoyed sitting at the bar because you have a view right outside. Zac recommended a fine wine and also the blackened salmon which was delicious. The next morning, a member of the hotel staff was cleaning the snow off my car. Now, that's service and going beyond the normal course of duty. Thank you all HGI/Wausau for a great stay, I'll be back!

Very modern looking hotel and less than 1 year old. Only stayed for a cocktail at the bar but it looked awesome!

Great staff, beautiful area in the great state of Wisconsin. Hotel is super clean with large modern rooms. Great amenities.

Great service. Really friendly staff. Nice rooms. The restaurant and bar area are really nice. Great breakfast. The kitchen staying open longer would be better — even a limited menu as late as the bar is open.

Beautiful modern hotel. Staff was great nd room was excellent. Everything very clean and exceptional.

Had dinner to check out the new Hilton. Food was good. Service was okay. Asked for NA beer and told they had none. Asked waitress to double check but she assured me they didn't. After dinner the manager of food and bar gave us a tour including a tour of a room. The rooms there are very nice. Hard to describe. Spacious and lots of windows. Pool area very nice Conference facility excellent. During the tour I asked about the NA beer and was told they had O'douls. I would recommend checking it out.

Stayed here for a mini honeymoon. Staff seemed decent except when we checked in the pm person did not explain pool hours, breakfast hours or anything like that. Hey, here's your key, have a nice stay. My wife is a night auditor at a Hampton in madison. So we know how things are supposed to be. Room was great. Love the shower. Made use of that plenty.

Great place! Closest to the tracks! Friendly staff! Whirlpool is great! Dining area is often cold since it's close to the door, but that's ok;) I would recommend it!

A state of the art new Hilton Garden In with all updated amenities. Rooms are very spacious and beds are amazingly comfortable. Lobby, bar, restaurant are all exquisite and decorated perfectly for the wausau area. All that and a top notch friendly staff there to solve all your concerns and genuinely take care of you. I'm in Wausau once a month and this will be my go-to property.

This hotel is amazing. I have been a diamond member for years and this hotel has blown my mind. I normally do not spend time writing reviews but you will not be disappointed by staying here. It does not have the same old garden inn building layout, but yet it is something completely different. They have been opened a few weeks ago so they need to fix a few things. Like not having shelves in the showers, they have a bar that has screw holes showing and so on. Either way I told the general manager he needs to fix this. I would normally stay in Stevens Point and I was tired of it being booked! If you only knew what y'all were missing!

We were some of the guests in the hotel for the Honor Flight and cannot say enough about the service and care we received from everyone at the hotel. The room was clean, the employees knowledgeable, service great, and most of all the care they gave the honored Veterans was heartwarming. We highly recommend this hotel.

Had a reservation here tonight I made a week ago and they sent me an e-mail yesterday canceling the reservation. What's the point in even doing so? Never got a response as to why they canceled it either.

Was there for an event and it was very nice.

Waited over 10 minutes just to get service at the front desk. Hotel was dirty, leaves were scattered across the hallways. Took a shower in the morning and the drain was plugged up. Will not be returning to this location. Wyndham is becoming an embarrassment compared to other hotel chains.

Terrible. For the lackluster quality you'd think it be a 20 buck a night motel. I suggest looking elsewhere. If it was 1/3 the price and I had to stay I'd still recommend sleeping in the car. If I had to have a positive, free Wi-Fi? (Scratch this 56k dial up has a more consistent connection) Which is standard most places. It was clean. (Scratch this as well rotten food in fridge)

The service the first day was good but after spending half an hour in the pool we noticed that all our silver jewelry was severely tarnished including our sterling silver stuff, We think it was that there was way too much chlorine in the pool. Half the jets worked in the hot tub, if there was an elevater I have no idea where it was, the second day we asked the person at the service desk what there was fun to do in Wausau since we had never been there. He couldn't suggest anything over all we had a good trip its a beautiful city but I wouldn't stay here again.

This is my second stay, first time of holding a company Christmas party. The first time the hot tub was broken and the pool needed some repairs like paint chipping in the bottom of the pool. That was 2010. Now its 2011Christmas and the hot tub is working but the pool floor is still chipping. The lobby was very nice, our room was spacious but beds were to close together for how much opened space there is in the room. I loved the sliding glass door out to the parking lot so moving luggage from vehicle to room and back was painless. The court yard in the center, granted it is winter time, still looked unmaintaned. In short the courtyard looks ghetto! Overall I give it two stars because of the price and lack of update comforts like flat panels tv's, microwaves, or fridge. I've stayed at hotels in Wisconsin Dells for cheaper which included waterpark passes. Location to Rib Mountain is GREAT thought, just across I39.
