I am ataying in a nightmare here. The lobby was nice. The room… the stench hit us so hard I wanted to throw up. There were stains all over the carpet. Pizza or make up? Not in just one spot, it was everywhere. I don’t even know what it was but got all over our shoes and socks. The alarm clock had red splatters all over it (I want to say pizza sauce or hot sauce? ) the phone didn’t work cause it didn’t charge in the cradle. I brought food for the fridge that didn’t work. It had water coming out of the bottom of it so I am glad no one got shocked. The beds I could feel and hear every spring in the mattress. The one headboard looks like it’s ready to fall apart. The upstairs guests were having a great night… all night. I have been up since 1 am to that plus the people running up and down the halls talking and screaming. The heater/ac is so loud and doesn’t seem to sound right. I went down at 4am to complain and the hosts were both sleeping so I had to wake them up. One told me I had to come back down at 7 to speak to the manager. Do not stay here. This Hyatt does not live up to the Hyatt name.

There is a reason it is so cheap here. The lobby was promising! The moment we got in our hallway, I knew. The carpet was dark green and dirty. It had a musty smell, and poorly lit hallways. Same goes for the room. We booked a 2 queen room. We confirmed this at check in, and we got 2 full sized beds. We said whatever, we're only sleeping here. (The hotel blamed booking. Net for this… even though they know which rooms have each sized beds…) then we could not get in the pool for HOURS the night we stayed because of the limit on the number of people (corona precautions, we love this! ). But the SAME people were in there all night, there should be a time limit. We went every 30 minutes! The pool was half the reason I even picked this hotel! On one of the trips we made to the pool, our floor had wet towels up and down the halls from the other people. We had had enough of the screaming and loud people up and down the halls, and blasting music, SO we left and found other things to do. We got back to the hotel around 10:30pm. The front entrance reeks of, you guessed it, weed. We get up to our floor, it IMMEDIATELY smells like weed again. Exiting the elevator, there are FRIED CHICKEN WINGS on the FLOOR. Not 1, 2, 3 or even 4. A trail and a PILE of wings! (Plus more weed smell! ) We go eat our dinner, and try to sleep through the music and yelling. So we made sure to wake up EARLY to make it to the pool first!

They have bed bugs. Do not go here.

Cant believe house keeping does not clean room until after 5. It is absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER stay here again. The front desk staff is rude.

Our hotel room was unique, and we loved the 11pm-7am menu, also the breakfast options were phenomenal! Highly recommend this Hyatt!

Great hotel! We’re a family of four, two adults and two kids. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Pool area has nice lounge chairs to relax in while the girls were swimming. Our room was cleaned daily by very friendly staff, we stayed 6 nights. We will definitely stay here the next time we’re in Milwaukee.

Clean. Iritating motorcycle noise. Comfy beds. No hot tub (should have this amenity for the $170 a night we paid. ) No free coffee except during breakfast. Breakfast below average. Twice went to refill my coffee to find the urn empty. One cup of coffee had visible grounds. Eggs from a carton, sausage, French toast, cereal, yogurt (only one flavor), bread (they ran out of bagels), fresh mixed fruit (good) and a few mini donuts. I've had much better complimentary breakfasts at hotels $80 less per night. Nice shower in the bathroom.

Reasonably clean. Good for a few nights stay. Nothing special. This hotel is in need of an update to the rooms, new towels (considering all of the ones I had in my room were thread bare and snagged) and the front desk staff needs to be retrained. They didn't explain that there is a $50 a day hold on your credit card for incidentals, and they double billed me for my stay.

Here on business, some of the best sleep I've ever gotten on a hotel bed. Staff was friendly and helpful, and a fantastic breakfast.

This hotel has pretty spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is actually very good for a free breakfast. The Wi-Fi here is pretty horrible, and the TV interface is impossible to use if you wanted to order a movie. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Stayed here for 10 days, would definitely stay again.

There was a delay at check in because our room was ready due to the hotel being completely full the night before. Several hotel employees told me I would need to contact a manager regarding compensation for my lost time. I emailed Maria, who told me I had been moved to a higher floor. As I was checked in to the 2nd of 4 floors, I find this hard to believe. I asked her what else she could do, and after 48+ hours she clearly isn't going to respond to me. While I was waiting for a room, I witnessed other guests complaining about not having their reserved rooms ready, key cards that didn't work, and no housekeeping services after two days of requesting somebody clean their room. The staff was unapologetic and at times even rude. This hotel is clearly not equipped to handle a full booking, and clearly needs additional training in customer service.

Do not try to book a wedding block with this hotel. We recently had a wedding and tried to use this hotel because of the free shuttle that was promised. Of the 20 or so people that stayed from the wedding party only half made it into the block because the people at the front desk kept telling them the block was full. Between my wife and I we had to call at least 15 times to straighten things out with them. The management at this hotel really needs to get it together. Without a doubt the worst customer service weve ever had. On the upside the rooms are very nice.

I am currently staying at this hotel for work. My company is paying but I had to give my card for incidentals. The staff memeber rudley said to my supervisor "he gotta have 50$ on his card for incidentals" implying that I dont have any money. I was bit by something while sleeping and asked to have my room switched she said she couldnt supposedly due to the computer… The hotel is Beautiful and guest are friendly but the staff is rude and far from accommodating.

This hotel is as first-class as it gets, even though it's in one of the seediest parts of Milwaukee. It's also near Timmerman Field which is not a commercial airport like Mitchell airport is. The suites themselves, have a small apartment look so they won't look like typical hotel rooms. There are three stories of suites above the lobby. Also, it has a small bar in the lobby with a bartender as well as a complimentary first-class breakfast every morning. Overall, the Hyatt Place is like the diamond as far as hotels are concerned in this seedy industrial neighborhood called Timmerman West.

We had a great stay! Friendly staff, comfy bed and a nice breakfast in the morning.

I dropped the ball and reserved a room through a website without realizing that I made a mistake on when my vacation started. I reached out through the website to the hotel to see if I could change the reservation one day. I understand I didn't have any "leg to stand on" with regards to getting a refund or meriting a change due to the website conditions but when hotels dot com told me that the price actually went down for the following day, I held out hope thinking the availability was better on the new date. Unfortunately, the hotel manager wasn't to sympathetic to my situation and I guess it's his right to have take the "firm" stance on policy. It's also within my right to review the hotel for their lack of flexibility in light of availability of rooms. They get two stars for the very nice nighttime attendant that was dealt with at first. And congratulations to the manager for getting the hotel more money by keeping it "by the book". You lost a future customer but you run a tight ship there. Update: I owe my apologies to the manager. It seems the website I used had failed to even contact them. After contacting the hotel directly, the situation was resolved. From all accounts, the management at Hyatt Milwaukee-West lives up to the customer service that is expected from a Hyatt property. Thank you.

This is a nice hotel with a very up to date look and feel to it. My only concern is I have stayed here multiple times but they have issues with charging double for a single stay and when I brought it to the General Managers attention he brushed me off and hung up the phone. I love a clean hotel but I will not be staying here again.

Nice rooms & amenities. The breakfast offerings seem to be fresh and hearty as well. The only thing we didn't like was it's proximity to the highway & the surroundings. We like to have sex with the window blinds open at times & this just seemed like we're in some industrial area. This was another on the road, pit stop, spur of the moment visit. But I think we'd stay again when in town next.

Absolutely horrible experience, made worse by the hotel’s response to it. To sum up, the pool was closed (not the first time this happened on a visit to this hotel), our fridge was broken and not replaced until night before we checked out, maintenance man was overheard complaining to maid about having to come back to fix fridge because he came at 8 am while we were still sleeping, and exercise room was 42 degrees. I left a review on Trip Advisor and response by hotel was to make poor excuses for what happened and basically blame us for problems we ran into. We were “gifted” 10, 000 rewards points for our trouble AFTER we said we would never return to hotel again. We were charged for a movie we never ordered and when we called to complain, the manager said the receipt he was looking at did not show a movie was ordered and would email us a copy. Receipt was from a stay 3 years prior! To top it off, I cannot even get on their damn website to get points total so I can try and sell them to a different website. Horrible customer service does not even come close to describing our experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

I would give this hyatt a — 5 if I could. The staff are dirty, hair a mess, just not professional at all. Please don't stay here if you are on vacation because they will turn it into a nightmare. Any little movement they are complaining. The breakfast was cold and basic. For the Hyatt I guess I expected a bit more professionalism!

Used to be the best value hotel in the MKE area. However, the hotel is getting warn. Some rooms have been remodeld, but not all. The rates are so low now that the clientele has changed for the worse. Good bar though.

We definitely expected more having the Hyatt name. It's pretty worn and likely seen better days. We've stayed at many econo lodge and Quality inn (for much less) that had more and working amenities and helpful friendly staff. The staff here was not helpful at check in at all. They acted like we had been there before. They were rude to my wife when she went to inquire about things missing in our room: "I don't know what's in your room"

Need real eggs for breakfast, maybe some biscuits and gravy… rooms are nice… tile in bathroom needs the mold removed… beds are oh so comfortable… a little tlc… and this place would b awesome.

Its nice but the hotel only has a shuttle van for large parties, weddings or baby showers. Customer service was good, the staff is very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I especially liked the wall seperation in the suite.

Price/performance full ok, breakfast and parking free. The rooms are no longer new, but clean.

Beautiful room. Almost like a suite. Very convenient place to hook up my PlayStation 4.

Great location. Its in downtown a couple of blocks away from capital hall. Also close to lakes and zoo. The staff there are very friendly. We felt very comfortable staying there.

The hotel is very nice and family friendly. Breakfast was very good over the weekend. The pool was nice, though there were some things they needed to fix. The toilets in the pool area were clogged and the motion sensor for the lights in the pool kept turning the lights off. Also the clock on the wall was stuck in overdrive, so we couldn't tell how long we were in the pool.

The hotel has next to no accommodations. About the only thing I can say is that the room is fairly clean and that's it for the lost of positives. The bar is located at the front desk and it's always a social event there at any time. It's probably one of the lest family friendly hotels I've stayed at. There are no microwaves in the room and there is one out only at night in the lobby. (they take it away during breakfast and lunch. Of you have small children that require a bottle don't expect to be able to warm it. The room has a mini fridge that is very unstable hard to open and either freezes what you put In it or doesn't cool at all. The rooms have a very dated feel from the furniture all the way down to the cordless phone in the room that has to be from the 80's… The staff unfortunately was as in accommodating as the rooms, in the morning when trying use the microwave they wouldn't even en get it from the back or wherever they put it. It was suggested that we use hot water from the sink to warm a bottle! I hope this helped you if you are traveling and considering staying here as I would not ever stay at this hotel again.

I was able to get a discount since I work at the post office. The pool was nice and they have a bar inside. My sister and I enjoyed a nice drink before heading back to the room.

Of the staff that I saw on our first night, some were friendly and attentive, while others were not. I don't think that it was their fault other than be stressed as there were alot of people here for a wedding and there were a few other dissatisfied guests. Our extra pillow in our room was dirty and we accepted a clean case from the front desk staff. Our AC just kept the room slightly cool but humid. Nothing was overly wrong with the hotel. Just not the Hyatt Place atmosphere that I am used to.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially travelers. Nearby the highway and ton of restaurants in the area. The rooms were always clean & neat. I like how the sitting area is spaced from the bedroom area. Might I add the breakfast buffet was neat & delicious.

Every thing was good. Only bad thing I could say is that it would take 30 minutes to make a hot sandwich. I settled for a salad and it was ok, filled me up as it was late at night and I just got in. Free breakfast was nice.

The rooms and staff are good but my chicken casidilla was made with chicken from a can and soggy and not browned and not worth 10 dollars. Breakfast is slow getting out in the morning people ready to eat and go and staff are just as slow as can be.

The Hyatt is a place I recommend others to book! The room/suite was lovely! The bed made you not want to get out of bed! Really clean room! "Staff treated you like family making you feel so warm and comfortable! And their food was very good, seasoned well (I'm a chef)! Great place I will return back when coming back to Milwaukee!

Stayed for 1 night. Nice, well maintained room, friendly courteous staff. Good breakfast. Only draw back was having to go to the desk to check out instead of auto check-out getting your receipt overnight.

I travel all over for work and by far this has been one of my favorite places. Friendly staff, decent food, but where this place really stands out is the rooms. Separated rooms with living area, sleeping area, workspace, dressing and bathrooms. The large TV refrigerator are great. When on the road, quiet downtime and comfortable quarters are very appreciated and I was definitely given that here.

I was just staying for one night. Rooms are around 200$ a night. No complaints about the staff they were great. The room was unworthy for the price. My only window was facing the building AC unit or some type of ducks or whatever. I could not see outside. The breakfast horrible and the floor was sticky in the lobby. I would expect this from a motel or something. I wish I could have got some type of refund but I know the rules. Smh.

We've stayed here twice over the last year or 2 and we have been very pleased. The rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly and the rooms stay quiet with all the hallway noise that you normally hear plus the parking lot is around the backside of the building so I feel safe leaving my vehicle there. Just as a "heads up", they don't have flavored creamer for coffee so we buy a little bottle to bring and sometimes the breakfast area is overwhelmingly crowded but with a great hotel, you'll have lots of guests :) we will be back on our next trip to Milwaukee! Thanks for another great visit!

The Hyatt hotels never disappoint and this one is no exception. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a decent brekfast. However, the pool is a bit underwhelming with its deepest point being 5 ft.

We stay here once a year when we come up for a baseball game. The staff is great and we love the rooms. They are perfect for a family and very well appointed. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating is that the breakfast is just ok. The rleggs are watery and most of the time the rest is a little stale. But if you look past that we will still keep coming!

Granted we did arrive after 10 for drinks. It's not really a bar — more of like a lounge where you can get drinks. When we were served, the server never came back to see if we wanted or needed anything else. Other than that, the updates to the lobby/bar area were really nice.

The hotel was very nice especially for the price we paid. It's abojt a twenty minute drive from downtown Milwaukee. My room was in great condition. The service was good, but I only really interacted with them to check in and out.

The room service food was horrible. The breakfast was amazing. The room itself was better than amazing. On a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the best, the room was a 20. The bed was like a cloud and I had the soundest sleep I had in awhile. We came in for a concert and were not familiar with the area and it was hard to find and awkward to get to. But it was well worth it. I also loved your did you forget something feature. I ended up not needing to borrow a charger or anything but it was an incredible feature that I have never seen before. All in all I would recommend your hotels to my friends and will likely be coming back if we need a room in the area.

Always friendly staff, updated and clean rooms, nice little bar area to grab a snack/meal. I always stay here for business/pleasure when in the area.

We had a king room and it was great. There was a large sectional that pulled out into a bed. Plenty of space for us to have others in our room. Staff were very helpful and gave us a new corkscrew when ours broke. Breakfast was good as well. I'd absolutely stay again.

It was a wonderful experience. The front desk person wasn't the happiest, and we couldn't log onto the Wi-Fi right away. The front desk said that she would call us when it was back up, and she never did. BUT the room was wonderful and clean.

Very nice hotel. Hotel Bar is attached to front desk and staff is terrible at mixing over priced drinks. If you want a Hotel with a good bar, check out the Raddison and Jimmy's Island Grill.

The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. The hot skillet breakfast was quite nice with hot breakfast sandwich options. Our room had stains on the carpet and the sofa bed couch had cushions with zero comfortable or support. The sofa couch also had stains all over. The pillows for the bed were lumpy and smashed down with no comfort. Half of the TV stations were analog and looked quite fuzzy compared to the other half. I think this hotel could use some improvements in the rooms! I would pay slightly more for better quality/higher standard rooms.

We have been coming here for along time, and this visit truly takes the cake! Andrew, Alex and Lunika are three of the sweetest people. They greeted us with a smile, made sure we had everything we needed and we're just all around wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Please make sure you recognize them for the wonderful employees they are.

I had the worst experience at the Hyatt Place Milwaukee — West and I suggest no one ever stay there. This hotel has bed begs and horrible management. Katlin, the assistant manager handled the whole situation unprofessionally. I would have rather seen the head manager but the person was know where to be found. Katlin refused to refund any money back even the days we didn't stay there and we had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of the night after they falsely accused us of bring them. They didn't follow any type of communication protocol like calling our cell phone numbers which they ask for when you check in, before they entered our room without us there to do a inspection. Because of how unprofessional there management handle the situation, and if this is how they treat there customers I will never stay at another Hyatt ever again. I will also tell family and friends to do the same.

May 25, 2013 My amazing wedding night was ruined by my experience at the Hyatt Place. I walked in with my groom and a bridesmaid into my room. The best was torn apart, never made. There was dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom, and there was starbucks cups in the room. I was so upset I followed my bridesmaid and my groom back down to the check in area to get another room. I was given a room with two full beds. It's my wedding night, I was supposed to get a suite. Insead I got a sub par room with a toilet that didn't even flush properly. I had to take the top of the toilet off in order to flush the toilet manually by pulling the chain. ON MY WEDDING NIGHT! If that wasn't enough, I attempted to enjoy breakfast at 10:02, excuse me I was there a little late for breakfast, but the food was still out and there was many guest still getting food, an employee was yelling at me to get out of her way so she could clean up. I got my room for free for the night, but the reason I chose the Hyatt Place instead of the Best Western was because of the reputation associated with the "Hyatt" name. It was a huge disapointment, all my other guests went to the Best Western down the road and they enjoyed their stay. They stated the staff was more then accommodating. I will be advising Silver Spring Golf Club of my experiences and advise them to tell their future customers the Hyatt isn't the place to go.

Great staff, nice clean and comfortable rooms, and continental breakfast is best I have had at a hotel.

I am hesitant to tell you about this hidden gem because I want to be sure there is vacancy when I desire to return. I simply liked everything about it: friendly staff, tasteful decor, fast Internet for which I did not have to pay extra, convenient location for air travel, decent food with good variety and a lot of meaningful little touches like toothpaste in the bathroom. All at a fair price. I will find a reason to return.
