Not the motel's fault, but when the toilet in the room above us over flowed at 1 am, the front desk would only give us 2 towels to mop up our bathroom from all the water that was pouring through the light fixture. Under these circumstances I would have thought a few extra towels were warranted. Also there were no maintenance people on — call or available until the next morning. Very good morning coffee! And shower pressure was excellent.

Beds and pillows are comfortable. Pet friendly. All of the staff I have met have been quite nice. They do their job and allowed me my personal space to enjoy my stay. Love the queen jacuzzi suite. Regular full rooms are decent as well. Only complaint is there is no refrigerator in room.

I paid $100 per night on a weekend when everything in town was sold out, but I've seen ads for other nights at $40/night. At that price it's worth considering if you really can't spend more. It's not horrible, but there are many nicer places in town and staying at this Motel 6 was a bit depressing.

Very good until the last evening. Party next door from 1:30 AM. Until 4:45 AM. Loud. Told Manager & I was compensated that one day back. I stayed 7 days. So it at least was no charge, but no sleep. One person on duty at the desk one evening (I think it was May26 or 27th 2018) was very rude to people. Upset with himself. Everyone else was great!

Clean, well-kept up in the parts that I saw at least. Love that Motel 6 is pet friendly and still cheap. Tip those housekeepers though, especially if you bring a pet, they deserve it for the extra work involved and cleaning up after your (hopefully well-behaved) pet sheds.

First things first… it's a Motel 6. So you have to understand that this is a no frills, no amenities place to have a bed. The room was decent, a bit old but still fine for the night. The area was decent, but it's close to alot of places so that was nice. Hotel staff was nice on check in and check out. Wouldn't be my first choice, or maybe even second, but for what you pay, it is just fine.

No frills place to stay. No breakfast, no shampoo, no hair dryer, but couldn't beat the price. Just make sure you pack what you need. Some rooms have been remodeled.

You get what you pay for. Absolutely nothing special about this worn down hotel. They required both me and my wife to show our IDs before we could check in. Seems shady.

When I arrived, the Front Desk Representative greeted me quickly and the check-in process was quick and pleasant. She explained my charges and told me a little bit about available dining in the area. There were no billing surprises; I received exactly what I had reserved. This is an economy motel. While the age of the property was noticeable, both the common areas and my room appeared well cared for. My room had a king sized bed, a work desk, a flat screen television, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a lounge chair. The furniture and amenities showed age, but were clean and in good repair. The bed was comfortable; the mattress was by all means well within its life cycle. The refrigerator was a little noisy, and seemed to be running constantly. Personally, I didn't mind this all that much. Nonetheless, other guests may be disturbed by this. As a hospitality industry professional myself, at the property I staff, I would expect an inefficient appliance to be replaced. Contrasting this, the property I staff is an upper scale property with an upper scale price point. The property I'm reviewing is an economy class motel. The bed linens and towels were clean and were well within their life cycle. Complimentary coffee in the morning was a nice touch. I found the level of noise from both within and without the property to be reasonable. It wasn't excessively quiet, but I didn't notice a level of noise that I would consider startling or uncomfortable.

Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was nice and hot. All the people we dealt with were very nice and wanted to help anyway they could. Will definitely stay there again!

No refrigerator in room so bring your own cooler, if necessary. Double bed is decent. Bathroom sink is outside room of toilet and shower so you can use those separately with roommate.

Friendly staff, lobby looks nice, but the room smelled like weed and cigarettes. Wallpaper is peeling, walls are cracked, bed is not comfortable, and there are places that feel like you're going to fall through the floor when you walk across it. I had to leave the window open all the time just to not feel like I was going to pass out from the smell.

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. The hallways smelled like weed. Stains all over the room, definitely needs an update.

I reserved in advance, but upon arrival the desk clerk quoted my price as twice as much as I reserved for. They were very kind and courteous and corrected the problem. Upon getting my room I noticed it was quite warm. I attempted to turn the thermostat down, as well as flip a switch on the wall which had three settings (heat-off-cool) no matter what I did my room remained balmy for the duration of my stay. The floors must be crumbling underneath the carpet, as I continually walked on uneven divots and potholes. The walls were incredibly thin, as I could hear everything my neighbors were saying to each other, even though it was clear they weren't being loud at all. Other than that, the stay was fine. Coffee in the morning was good and the ice machine worked fine. Employees were friendly and professional, but it seems the building is crumbling in.

This was a last minute booking for a conference trip. Very good value option but I would not recommend. Each of the three nights of my stay I went to my room only to find that my key cards didn't open my door. So I would have to walk to the opposite side of the building to the front desk and back. Every time. It would be nice to have an iron/board in these rooms as well. Or even a 'do not disturb' in case you don't need housekeeping.

Amazing service! Ms. Emily and Mr. Carl made everything about my trip very satisfying. I was traveling for work so I missed my family during the holiday but they had a pretty xmas tree and lights, soft piano music, and it smelled like gingerbread! Made me feel at home despite being 318 miles away. I am so grateful. Little things like that go a LONG way.

A very pleasant stay. Very nice check in. Very clean room. A much nicer place than I thought it would be for the price. I will definitely be staying here again.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was great for the price. The only problem we had was that someones pet had flees and my family and me kept getting bit. We had bites all over which sucked for my youngest son because he's disabled and can't talk to let us know he itches or is in any kind of pain.

Convenient location, Prompt, easy check-in. Problem with key cards resolved promptly. Room was clean, rather small but well-equipped. Comfortable bed. Exceptional price for meeting our immediate needs,

Our stay was fine with you but we will never go thru Trip Advisor again! They suck! The front desk manager was very nice and tried to accommodate us after Trip Advisor dropped the ball on our special requests. What motel nowadays doesn't have a microwave and a refrigerator in their rooms? We would stay with you again if you put microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Pet friendly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located within 15 minutes of everything I needed to get to. Sounds really carry (especially the sound of running water) and the carpet should be vacuumed along the wall. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a good stay. It would be nice if you provided toiletries like shampoo. And we told the front desk no housekeeping because we heard there was no DO NOT DISTURB signs for the doors but she woke us up at 9 am anyway. So, maybe get do not disturb signs? We got in so late & wanted to sleep in. You should read online reviews. It would help you make the stay better. It's the little things that people appreciate.

Definitely cheap. Staff were friendly. Poor cleanliness of of rooms. Cobwebs on cieling, visible dirt in corners of room. What kind of hotel does not give shampoo or conditioner? Bed squeaky with springs felt when laying down. Apparently policy to not offer/utilize do not disturb signs-housekeeping woke us up before 9. If you prefer to sacrifice your comfort stay here and save a few dollars.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past 7 years during or right around Oktoberfest. We come down for the races at the speedway, make our reservations for next year's event as we are checking out for this year. The manager Greg is an awesome nice guy, and although he doesn't (admittedly) know that much about racing he does make a concentrated effort to engage in conversation on the subject and most subjects. He is very knowledgeable about the area and is always willing to assist. As for other things on these reviews NONE of them have ever happened when we have stayed there. We will continue to frequent this establishment yearly.

Cheap rates, Staff was friendly, Rooms were plain and pretty clean. Make sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner Motel 6 does not provide any. Also let them know upon check in if you do not want room service because they do not have "DO NOT DISTURB" signs in the motel. 9am they will be knocking if you do not let them know.

We were able to get a room the at the last minute on the Friday of Oktoberfest! It wasn't loud and the room has nice wood floors. The room was $100 though! That's the price you pay for last minute and it being Oktoberfest.

It was nice the room had a microwave and refrigerator. However the refrigerator wasn't cold. I think the ice box need to be thawed out. We both took a shower and by the time we walked across the carpet to the bathroom 2 or 3 times are bare feet were dirty. When was the last time the rooms were shampooed? Other then that it was fine.

Great price but lacking some amenities, which I expected. Had to run to the store and get shampoo. Rooms were decently clean except for carpet by the walls which was clearly dirty. Bathroom was a bit dingy but worked fine for the amount of time we were in the room. Bed was less comfy than expected. Overall decent stay though.

The room was cool, refreshing, and very clean. It was like walking into a new motel room. The maids and other staff made you feel welcome and offered their help if needed. We understand, the Asst. Manager spent considerable time of her own in seeing that the rooms were upscale. We enjoyed the stay, and would do it again. Lgm.

We were staying one night in La Crosse for event so we stayed at Motel 6. The rooms were nice mine had hole in the carpet but that was only thing. Some of the rooms have fridges and some don't. Same with either having an older TV or newer one. It was very quiet there. Thanks Greg if we come back your away this is where we will stay!

Room 141 had leak in bathroom from the unit above. In the middle of the night, my husband stepped in a huge puddle. This leak may also be the source of moldy smell in the room other than that, everything was good. The room was pretty clean. Check in/out was easy and it's in a convenient location.

The room was nice. The staff was helpful. I thought it was wonderful that they made an effort to have the fridge and microwave in room as requested. My only complaint would be that the joints on the tub surround were discolored by water stains. I would stay again if I am in town.

Service was great. Room wise; small, sink is outside vs together with toilet and bath tub. Most of all my door was not fully closed;so, be careful and always check the door. Bed, you can feel the box springs. It was an emergency and I did not fully do some looking. Other relatives, checked in at Holiday Inn and got a room with a two queen size for $64 with taxes.

Best parts were the staff and the price. The room was okay and got the job done, but without frills such as free shampoo or an ironing board in the room which is what Motel6 is geared towards. I had no issues with cleanliness in the room but the TV stand was pretty well worn. Bed was fine as was the air conditioning, which was important because it was extremely hot and humid outside and rained about 6 inches during my stay. The thing I would most recommend for improvement is upkeep in the public areas such as vending, hallways, and stairs. Overall given the very low price I found it to be a good value and I would stay there again.

The room was very warm when we walked in and smelled like wet dog. We messed with the AC for awhile thinking it had just been turned on. We never did get any cool air. It would cycle for 3 minutes with some semi-cool air you could feel when standing directly near the AC. Then it would stop and only run the fan. We should have asked for a different room, but we didn't. The hallway was much cooler than the room. We hadn't planned to stay the night anywhere so we didn't have shampoo/conditioner/toothpaste, etc. The hotel didn't provide any either, so that was disappointing. Soap was the only thing included.

During a recent stay with the La Crosse Motel 6 we had a pet emergency in the middle of the night. The staff of the Motel 6 went over and above the call of duty to help us out. Their assistance and follow up ensured a happy outcome for our family. I highly recommend their facility and would definitely stay there again. Many thanks again to management and staff of the La Crosse Motel 6!

Price is great. Rooms are clean. Staff is very accommodating. For the price. It's the best in town. Don't expect a Hilton, but this was the best sleep I've had in weeks.

We booked a room with 2 double rooms online and arrived with a single double room and they were sold out. The hotel was run down out dated and overall kind of creepy. We stayed in lacrosse wisconsin. The hotel didn't even offer shampoo. The key cards at the entrance didn't work so we had to go through the front door anytime between 10pm and 5 am. The fan rattle and doors slammed hard. The price was the cheapest in town and you definitely felt like it. Wish we would have paid the 140/ night like my mother in law to stay at a nice place instead of this run down establishment.

I've been staying here extensively for several months. The facility is very well-managed and maintained. The location is relatively safe, but not very convenient to most attractions. La Crosse is an easy city to navigate by car, and city buses stop less than a block from the hotel and travel to most attractions. For the price, this is a great value!

I love the fact that Motel 6 is pet friendly because having our two dogs along for the trip was wonderful. The rate was great and on par with the quality of the room. The gentleman behind that counter was very nice too. I will definitely stay at this location again when I come back to La Crosse.

Great value! We were in town for a WORS mountain bike race and stayed here and our stay was above average in comparison to other hotels/motels we have stayed at. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The place has no bells or whistle but near several restauntants.

When I checked in last week, I noticed a group of smokers (5-6 people) standing at the side entrance, which I had been told was closest to my room. Rather than walk through a cloud of smoke, I went back to the front entrance and told the desk clerk about the smokers. He said, "OK. " That was that. The smokers did not look like transients, but rather long-term occupants. They were a pretty seedy bunch, but they had plenty to talk about and liked to smoke while doing it. There is a sign on the side door that says there is no smoking allowed within 25 feet of that entrance.

The room was clean, The bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great price, good stay. I needed a place to stay-not a resort — and their place is among many other hotels — so I felt safe.

I stay at roughly 20 hotels a month and this is one of the worst ones I've ever stayed at. First off when I called they said they had truck parking — nothing remotely close to truck parking — I don't even operate a semi just a 3500 Ram and a 40' gooseneck and it was a tight fight. There is a pizza hut next door where a lot of juvenile kids must hang out at because they were loud and kept getting close to my truck and trailer and even at one point got on my trailer and I had to go outside and tell them to get away from my property. Sometime during the night two cars decided to park right in front of me and behind me; this was intentional because there was 6 or 7 spots both in front and behind me. When I came in I was "helped by Julie, " she was so rude I could hardly tolerate it. When I spoke with her earlier in the evening she had said they accepted CLC, when I arrived you could only use CLC if you worked for BNSF… so if that was the case why would you advertise that and have it displayed on the doors? I left my ID in the truck, and I told her to give me a second I'd go get it and she mocked under her breathe, "who leaves without their licenses, you need it everywhere… " Again very RUDE. Come back in give her the ID, continues to check me in calls her manager about the CLC, I finally gave up and paid with my C/C which wasn't a big deal I just wish that we wouldn't have taken up so much time prior too.
