Absolutely the worst hotel we’ve been on this road trip. Very dirty. Shell out a couple extra bucks and go somewhere else and get a good night’s rest!

The beds were very springy and felt old. The pool was unique — can't quite out my finger on it, but it didn't feel clean. The breakfast area was small, especially compared to the number of guests the hotel can hold. If it had been a one night stay, this would have been great, but for a multiple night stay, it didn't feel adequate. I will say, though, my kids are not as picky as I and they loved it and thought the place was awesome!

Older hotel but it was nice. Not your usual set up like modern hotels. Had breakfast, including waffles.

Clean, great price, indoor pool and hot tub were immaculate! Manager is so friendly and accommodating! Plus only a 2 minute drive into town! Would definitely come back!

A comfortable enough room with 2 double beds, very quiet and clean with plenty of fresh towels daily. A pool for our granddaughter, away from the noise and traffic of town yet only a 3 minute drive away. Very polite, friendly, helpful staff. A park just across the road that allows kids to run off any extra energy. While there are other high end/fancier hotels, this met all our needs at a reasonable price. We believe hotel rooms should be somewhere to sleep, change clothes and shower, we don't need or want all the other trappings. We didn't even switch on the TV. Use it as a base and get out and enjoy yourselves!

This hotel was subpar. No elevator, old rooms but good budget prices. Rating it a 1 bc the manager was very rude, and when I left items behind by accident he was extremely unhelpful.

WONDERFUL STAY: beds were VERY COMFORTABLE, rooms had what you need to sleep and chill after seeing the sites,. Yes the rooms are smaller, but the maid service keeps your room together and Kevin was more than helpful. If you want large, expensive rooms, go elsewhere, if you want comfort, and don't mind just a little smaller room, you can't go wrong.

We thought we messed up booking here, but we're so pleasantly surprised, the rooms were clean and above standard, breakfast was great and the gentleman running the place left it up so we could eat since we checked in late, he was great we wish we caught his name, made our foggy trip to Rushmore great.

Everything was extremely run down and there was a piece of plywood covering a hole up in the ceiling in the hallway. The room had a dingy, not cleaned well feeling to it, it could have been just because of the age but it was quite disappointing. Also, from the website it made you feel like you like you might catch a glimpse of Mt Rushmore from some of the pictures but it was about 15 minutes away and completely not possible. The hotel was definitely in a less attractive area than the average tourist area as there was a run down trailer park across the street and random people just sitting on the side of the road. Nothing happened while we were there, but it was not an area where my husband was comfortable letting me run to the car for something by myself. I agree you get what you pay for, so I was expecting anything super nice but it was considerably below what I would expect for the price range.

I stayed here with my family this past week and we all agreed this was one of the most pleasant experiences we've had with a hotel recently. The rooms were really nice, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful — I always love waffles — and the customer service was exemplary. They were extremely helpful and kind at the front desk, especially when we had questions. The pool looked great, but we were too busy sightseeing to take advantage of it. I can't wait to come back to try out that pool and visit again!
