Our room was really nice & very reasonable in price. Most importantly, the staff was super accommodating & friendly! Highly recommend this motel!

We stayed the night of 01/14/20. Check in was easy and the rooms reasonably priced. No complaints at all! Rooms were large and clean. Beds were comfortable with a ton of pillows. Staff were friendly and the continental breakfast had plenty of choices. When we come through the area, we will make this our stopping point for the night. Everyone in De Smet were so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a pleasant stay after a long day of driving!

Super friendly! Also, provide a place to clean/freeze your game! Definitely will be back!

Paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights on Pageant weekend. Everything was great! Have zero complaints. Son even locked himself out of room at 2AM and called number at desk. The employee quickly arrived and let him in. We will highly recommend to anyone! Thanks Super Deluxe!

Nice, updated room capable of meeting our needs. The pool area was a well loved spot by our little ones. Should we be in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This hotel has updated allot! Best of it is new mattresses! So comfortable! Updated the paint and decor and the flowers look great. The staff are still awesome! The only flaw I have is the hide a bed sucks… But the kids slept on it so nbd!

We made reservations for two rooms. Was scheduled to spend 2 nights, but one night was too many. We spent one night because there was not much choice. Room, bathroom, outside hall, and check-in area were all dirty. Wife bought Lysol wipes to clean all surfaces. Would not recommend this place! Breakfast was fig newtons, pop tarts, donut holes and cold cereal.

Was supposed to have a room to myself after a long night, but was locked out of my room. Someone had picked up my key before I got to the hotel myself, but when I had multiple tries to open the door without succeeding, I went to the front desk. The front desk had closed at 11 pm, but there was no sign saying who to contact if I had issues with my room or stay. So instead of being in my room, I ended up sleeping on the floor of a friend's room. Even after complaining to the staff about my experience, they made me pay for my room even though I did not enter my room once. After I told them my story and they told me I needed to pay, I asked if I could receive a discount of some kind for the room. They refused and said if I didn't pay they would charge it to the bride of our bridal party group. Honestly, their attitude and customer service skills seem to need much improvement!

This place is EXTREMELY unprofessional. We had multiple rooms and one girl couldn’t even get into her room and because there was no one even here to help guests past 11 pm she had to sleep on the floor BUT STILL PAY FOR THE ROOM. The bride was charged extra because there was a noise complaint from a different room. House keeping walked in our room without knocking. They were constantly trying to change prices on us. Breakfast was a joke. There is no way half of the things they’ve done is even legal. Worst experience ever dont come here.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I got married in town and my bridal party and family stayed at this hotel. One of the keys didn’t work and one guest had to sleep on the floor and still had to pay the whole room cost. She tried to call the manager, who didn’t answer. At check out we were told that “she didn’t care” and that we were being too loud. If local people are being treated this way, I can only imagine how they treat tourists.

This is the first hotel that I've stayed at where I felt like I was at a bed and breakfast. Totally top notch customer service. It's a homey feeling, very welcoming and even hooked me up with a room big enough for my ten kids and husband. The pool set up is great with showers and soap provided. The towels in our bedroom were soft and thick. The room is very clean, smells good and each room of our 2 room suit has air conditioning. After a long vacation and staying at a different hotel that really stunk this hotel was a breath of fresh air and a great place to spend our last night away from home. There isn't protein available on the breakfast bar, but our hostess told us right away. I'm glad to know. She provides these little pizza cooker cooker things which I've never seen at another hotel. This hotel knows how to treat people. You will be glad you stayed here.

Room was decent, pool was good. They will let your pet stay for an extra fee. Had a nice, quaint breakfast area. Would stay again.

I would have not given this motel even a one star, but had to in order to post. First we made reservations and were promised a suite at the same price as the standard room — of course we wanted the suite. After arriving we were told that we only booked for one night and the suite was not available to us only for the first night. We even called on our way to see if they had booked the suite for us and we were told yes. We traveled 350 miles one way to spend the weekend. The price per night was ridiculous and they would not accept AAA or any other discounts because of the fair being held in Heron. Also we had 2 dogs and on the website it said they were pet friendly and there was a $10 fee for dogs which was fine with us. After getting there, there was a pet policy saying that the dogs could not be on the bed and had to be kenneled. We have stayed all over the US in some of the nicest motels and resorts and never have we run into a policy like this. If this is their policy, it should be posted on their website. Our reasoning for wanting to stay in De Smet was to check on the dogs several times during the day and take them potty. We have never had a problem with dogs messing the floor in any room we have rented. For the money we were told that cold cereal would be served for breakfast. At $102.00 we expected something warm in the morning. The desk clerk, who we were told later was the manager, did not try to make any other arrangements or work with us at all.

Sweet place! Loved the alternative room arrangements. Kids were able to each sleep I their own twin beds rather than sharing a bed our a sofa sleeper. They had their own room while parents had a room. Everyone slept better that way. Friendly staff, clean room and common areas. We would stay again.

The desk clerk seemed to be angry and did not greet us when we arrived. They did not offer any senior or government discounts during the month of July. The place was really clean but the floor of the pool and the spa had a stained brown appearance. The room was typical hotel room size but we had to get a rollaway bed and it used up much of floor space. Breakfast was at 6:00 but at 6:30 the lights in the breakfast room were still off and there appeared to be only cereal for breakfast. There was an elevator but I heard someone say there was something wrong with it. The water was nice and hot but there wasn't much pressure. The checkout was easy and the clerk at that time was friendly.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly. My only issues is for the $245 We paid for 2 nights, it would have been nice to have a hot breakfast instead of just toast and donut holes. I know it's a smaller operation but it's not difficult to have waffle irons and batter set up for people. As someone who has worked in the hotel business, I know how important it is for many people to have a hot breakfast available that have a full day of activities planed.

Always so welcoming and accommodating. Amazing pool with the perfect temperature, alongside the hot tub! Breakfast was above and beyond what we could of asked for. So happy with our stay. Will definitely be coming back again.

Hi I and my husband visit the hotel in september this year and we loved the service. The hotel was clean and we can warmly recommend it.

Stay there for business all the time. Very nice people. Everything is always clean and very reasonable price.

There aren't any fitted sheets, but other than that, it was a pretty nice quality experience for my family and I.

If staying for more then one night look else where. Housekeeping does not clean rooms.

My husband and I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel back in 2004 when it was a Super 8. Five years later, more than the name has changed. We were extremely disappointed with our room. It wasn't very clean and it was dusty. The bathroom also hadn't been cleaned properly. The next time we were in town we stayed at the Cottage Inn a short distance away on Hwy. 14.

One of the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I have stayed in quite a few.
