Mark and Sue both were amazing they are so kind and helpful with anything you need. Our room was perfect, and by far the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. I would rate more then 5 stars if I could. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

This place is great. Ive stayed in many Unique hotels. But for the price this place is a steal. Huge ceilings and very comfy beds. I’d recommend this place to anyone. Owner was available by text very easily. Came to my car to help unpack, what a great guy. This is my go to place around deadwood-lead area. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Very seldom does one find a place to stay where the owner checks with you before your arrival. Mark is truly a great host. The room was exceptional and we wanted to stay there forever. (But Mark does not deserve that! ). Cannot express the how clean and unique the Town Hall is! 13.8 to 18 ft ceilings. With the addition of a microbrewery (Jailhouse Taps) ; a person would be sad not to stay here!

Had a great stay at Town Hall. Comfortable beds, oversized rooms, exceptionally clean, friendly staff. Love the old elements that have been preserved in this building.

We LOVED our stay at the Town Hall Inn! So quiet and relaxing, just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Deadwood. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and friendly. If you want a peaceful stay only 3 miles from Deadwood, this is your place!

Very nicely repurposed hotel. Right across the street from the homestake open pit on Main Street. Very peaceful and quieter then deadwood.

We spent 5 nights at the Town Hall Inn and used this as our home base. The night we got in from our flight from Rapid City we enjoyed a nice scenic hour ride up 385 with about a 2 hour stop at Mount Rushmore. Then to Town Hall Inn with a super easy check in with the owner Mark who pointed us to a nice hike which we saw one of the largest waterfalls in South Dakota. Then to a very good meal at Cheyenne Crossings, about 20 minutes from the Inn. We enjoyed a nice nights sleep in our very comfortable and quite room. The next day we were off on our way to hike the Devils Pool (recommended hike by Mark and Jade the owners of the Inn) it was an awesome hike we got there early and were done and on our way to the Devils Tower in Wyoming about 1 1/2 hours drive, then back to the Inn and out to the local burger joint, The Sled Haus, that Mark recommended which was great. The next day we drove back down 385 to Hill City and rented bikes and did a 19 mile round trip ride on the Midckelson Bike Trail to Crazy Horse and back, then a mind blowing car ride on Needles Highway through Custer State Park. Today we are heading to the Badlands, we are so happy we picked the Town Hall Inn as our home base and highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Next we are going to the rodeo in Deadwood then it’s back home to the grind.

My wife and I stayed here 2 years ago and liked it so much we stayed here again this summer. The rooms are very unique and comfortable. The owners are extremely accommodating and truly friendly. They helped us out in a big way when we realized we booked a day late and even let us check in early. The location makes a great "base camp" for getting outside and enjoying everything the Black Hills has to offer.

IMO, quite simply the best hotel in the Black Hills. Great owner who the takes customer care to almost ridiculous levels. The hotel is the former Lead Town Hall. Built like a fortress. 15 foot ceilings, thick brick walls, etc. Don't expect central air, no way to get central air ducts in the place; but the window AC units work just fine. Plenty of windows in the upper and lower units up front. There is no elevator to the second floor; again, the size and layout make an elevator nigh unto impossible. With 15 plus foot ceilings, that makes for a hike to the second floor. The cost to stay is quite reasonable for the rooms. A lot of antique furniture in each room and sweet, ultra model bathrooms. This is the only place I'll stay when in the Hills.

Beautiful inn, with top notch hospitality. This is our second time staying here. We have stayed in the Engineers Office both stays. It's so spacious, and emaculatly clean. Price is right, also.

Ended up here on a whim with my boyfriend on our way to Devils Tower. Beautiful building, clean, quiet, sunny, extremely comfortable room and bed. Mark, the owner, was so welcoming, gave us local recommendations and just a warm fuzzy feeling. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in the area.

I've stayed here several times, and wouldn't stay anywhere else when in this area. Staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are very clean, and this is coming from someone who 40 years ago used to clean rooms and upperscale homes. Peace and rest is a must for me, and this place delivers.

Part of the charm of this place is the history you walk into and is carried all the way through the rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the owners were very accommodating. Loved this place and we can't wait for our next trip to the area!

Wonderful setting and ambiance. Beautifully restored historic hotel. We absolutely fell in love with this place. The owner's are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the town's history and the surrounding area. We stayed in the Defense Attorneys Room, super cute! We also sampled local beer from the owner's new portable kegerator … Fantastic treat!

What an amazing place to stay! Rooms are decorated perfectly! Fresh banana bread in the morning made my day! We stayed in the Judges Chamber! Awesome view, huge room! Loved it!

Spacious rooms with high ceilings, historic decorations and friendly staff at a reasonable price, this is one of the best place to stay! We stayed at the 'Engineer's Office' with two queen beds and nice large windows. Loved our stay. We'll be back!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Town Hall Inn and absolutely loved it! The location was great (we were skiing at Terry Peak for the weekend), the owners were so kind and friendly, and the room itself was homey, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend the Town Hall Inn and can't wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed here for a Ski Trip, and we both enjoyed the cozy home atmosphere. The room was a good size with all the same amentites of a normal hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We are so excited to have a great place to stay whenever we visit the Black Hills.

Historically maintained with modern bathrooms. Great service AND FRIENDLINESS from owners, Mark and Paul. Clean, (I'm very picky) spacious rooms with crazy reasonable rates. Quiet, but fun. Great central location. Easy cab to Deadwood for low rate. Donuts, fruit and good coffee in the mornings. I'm telling everyone about it and can't wait to go back this winter for skiing!

Lead is minuted from Deadwood so for our 25th anniversary trip, we decided to take a nostalgic change of pace an stayed at Town Hall Inn while passing through and I can say this — Skip staying in Deadwood unless you want to stay in tourist overrun places with high prices. The room in this in are large, well equipped and very clean. High ceilings and decorating make it a real treat to stay here. Fresh coffee and continental breakfast are included. Close to fine dining and groceries stores as well as main highways. I am so glad we picked this hotel since our trip down to Deadwood showed you very crowded hotels with very expensive prices while we stayed in true luxury at a faction of the cost with a very lovely view!

We highly recommend this quaint Inn as it has a fun feeling of history yet with the comforts we've come to expect in today's times. Our room, the Municipal Judges Chambers, is on the 2nd floor. It quickly became our home away from home. One of many special aspects of this room is the tall and numerous windows allowing sunlight to pour in. There are shade darkening curtains you can adjust for as much or as little natural light as you want. Our host greeted us with a relaxed warmth. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts and they gladly shared some of the history of Lead and the area. Staying here, especially for more than 1 night, gives you a feel for the past and present of the town of Lead. Using this inn as our base we traveled to many cities and area attractions including — Crazy Horse Monument, Mount Rushmore, Rapid City, antique stores, Evans Plunge (Hot Springs) and Deadwood. We loved the scenery as we drove. We hope you get a chance to experience this special place! Oh, if you do go, ask them about the vision and hope they have for an attraction in Lead. It's exciting! Great place to stay. Stayed her to Ski at Terry Peak. Really close to mountain. Old fashion rooms and entry way, loved that. Great rate. Kids liked running in and outta the room to see grandma and papa (oops). Would be great place to stop if cruising by and want to split up a trip.

This is a great little inn, built in an old historic court house. The beds were quite comfy, the staff very helpful, and the stay pleasant. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us suggestions on what to do and where to eat, along with making sure we were enjoying our stay. I definitely recommend this place if you're coming to see Mount Rushmore or any of the many attractions near there.

My mother and I shared a room at the Historic Town Hall during our visit to the Black Hills this past June. The room was huge with high ceilings and two large comfortable beds. Service was excellent, being very friendly and helpful. They offer extremely reasonable rates for such a nice place to stay. There are a number of interesting things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel and it's a short drive to Deadwood. My mom especially loved the place and we both give it 5 stars.

Stayed here on several occasions. The rooms provide great size, and once you enter the building you step back in time. High ceilings, spacious rooms, and vintage decorations provide for a great experience. Very great price, and a short taxi ride and you are in Deadwood.
