I think for me it's because I had a last minute event location change and they were suppose to match the other hotel I canceled at price the ornate dining room is really nice it was the easiest room I have ever had to decorate in all my years of mothering and party planning. My kids were disappointed because they thought they could swim but the pool is still closed until inspection of reopening it which was really the only rain why I jumped on the offer I thought I would skip getting a room with a hottub and use the pools they have available the second reason I came was because the decorations and details of the setup and scenery is another reason why I picked this hotel. So far everything has went great but up on checkout and the return of fifty holding fees then that will answer three question. Cause believe it or not the other hotel I was at didn't have fifty the holder's fee. And no smoke was in the room cause we was constantly walking past the desk going out to smoke and we are and I'm the type of mom and wife I clean up after myself regardless if someone else does it or not only thing I don't touch the trash bags in the rooms as well.

My fiancé had planned to have his Air Force retirement celebration here in the lobby with the wonderful Air Force decor, bar, and restaurant. Due to Covid his retirement cancelled but we and our 3 boys came for his decoration presentation for his last weekend. Holiday Inn went above and beyond making us feel welcomed and special. They put a congratulations sign on the TV in the lobby, champagne and chocolates, and even sparkling cider for the boys so they feel special as well! I never imagined his retirement would be this way, (20 years of service) but Holiday Inn has really put us in the festive mood from the moment we arrived! Special thank you to Dawn for accommodating us, dealing with the chaos of reservations and cancelations down to greeting us upon our arrival! We can’t thank you enough!

Recently stayed and attended an event there… USVMC VetFest. The staff and hotel were very accommodating to our large group. Very flexible, respectful and helpful. Would definitely recommend for an event!

Terrible service. I do not recommend it at all. At the reception they treated me to the worst. They discriminated against me and treated me very badly. I was about to pay for the whole week but due to his attitude I retired. Rude people. I never come back. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Nicole (front desk) is awesome. Very nice room. Absolutely no issues.

We had a small convention and the employees were very friendly and polite.

Clean. They helped us when we had questions or problems. Very friendly staff.

My husband was attending a seminar, the staff was real friendly while I was waiting. The young man at the front desk provided information and willing help. The wait staff in the restaurant was just as friendly and nice. We are going to plan a run away weekend soon.

I just want to take a moment and say how enjoyable our stay was this weekend. The ENTIRE staff is beyond amazing, they went above and beyond in every aspect of their job/duties and then some. I’ve never had a more enjoyable experience, I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the great people here! A very special shout out and thank you to Nicole at the front desk, Deb at the bar and Hunter in the kitchen! We will definitely be back and that’s due entirely to these great people!

Our server, Shelby at the hotel restaurant was great. Personable, prompt and excellent. My salmon dinner was amazing, too. Compliments to the chef!

Staff is friendly, the hotel is very very clean even when there's a lot of traffic, prices are reasonable, and they are dog-friendly!

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Our softball team set up a group block of rooms for a tournament. We all booked online or over the phone. I, and several others, booked ONLY Saturday night and recieved confirmation for $173 (that included taxes and fees). We showed up and were each charged $209. We were told the group rate only applied if you stay 2 nights EVEN THOUGH we had only booked one night and received confirmation of that rate. The woman at the desk said there is a note at the bottom of the reservation that says "other fees and charges may apply" so that covers the hike in fees. Also, according to her, everything is sold out in town so all the rates went through the roof.? Isn't that the whole purpose of booking ahead? on another note, one mom in our group missed the deadline for our group booking and secured the same room for $160ish with taxes and fees included by booking regularly online. There is a best rate guarantee on the website which they obviously don't stand by. We are just starting out on our traveling years of softball and soccer… I can assure you — our clubs will NEVER choose a Holiday Inn again!

Lobby is very nice. Recently redone. Had large work event in hall. It was okay. No knowledge of rooms.

Friendly service. The room wasn't great though. The fridge was too cold. It froze the drinks and no temp control knob to adjust. The shower was luke warm at best. The only thing that wasn't cold was the AC. The control on the wall was just for show. It said it was set for 68 but never got anywhere near that cool. I woke up in a puddle of sweat and I wasn't covered up at all. I didn't eat the breakfast but it looked like a decent selection so it's also got that going for it.

Nice hotel/conference center. Easy to get to, easy access to highway. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Typical rooms, only downer is conditioner only goes to 68, I like it cold.

It has been a great stay, the staff couldn't have been any nicer. The manager social hour is also a very nice gesture when you are considering where you will stay. In general I usually enjoy the holiday inns.

Good, but could use some improvements. Bar food and breakfast buffet is really nice. Sheets are not the best — itchy and scratchy and flannel-y, which is not good in high humidity. Friendly staff. I didn't get any maid service over 3 nights. Maybe one day I had the DND sign up, but not the other. All in all, a nice stay.

Great night stay here! The room was amazing, pillows were wonderful and the staff at the bar was amazing! The chicken wings and wedge salad was.

Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. It would have been nice if the breakfast buffet had been included in the price of the room. But it was only $9 per person, so it wasn't too bad.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are clean & well appointed. Pool is small & very loud. Also a hot tub on the adjoining patio would be nice. Breakfast is great but needs waffles.

Very polite staff, clean rooms, clean beds. The bar has decent selection on tap, and many choices of liquor. The food is delicious, recommend the chicken and waffles. They do offer a indoor pool and gym, but I did not use those facilities. Very pleased staying here.

Location was convenient for attending events at Wright State University. Rooms were modern and clean. The bedding did seem like it needed to be replaced, but was not dirty. Overall pleasant experience at this Holiday Inn.

We had a great time staying here. Everyone working was polite and wonderful. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy. There's a vague cleaning agent smell everywhere, but I'd prefer that to some bad smells or uncleanliness.

Accommodations were excellent. I got a great deal on a king sized room when there weren't any remaining and the breakfast was amazing. Definitely stay in one of the higher level rooms! However, there was lime scale in the bathtub and the stopper at the bottom of the tub had been pulled up. The staff didn't do a thorough job of cleaning.

Traveling home we decided at the last minute to stop around Dayton to take in the US Air Force Museum. Not having reservations we tried one motel only to learn that they were booked for the night. So we tried this Holiday Inn and got a room. Their price also beat others in the area. It is far quieter than our stay last night at another motel. One drawback is that they don't offer a complimentary breakfast. They do have an on site restaurant that is quite nice though a bit pricey.

The staff was meh, not bad but not exceptional. The lobby was beautiful but I knew when I got on the elevator that I was in for disappointment. I was on the 5th floor, room 518, and it had an odor. The room was 80 when I walked in, but the a/c worked fine to correct the temp. The room was very dated, but did have the bed size I requested. My co-worker reserved a King size bed months in advance, but was given a double bed. The breakfast they provided was rubbery, and when I requested coffee I was brought a carafe of ice cold coffee, leading me to believe it was brewed the day before. Also the waitress in the dining area made herself scarce, so I ate my breakfast with nothing to drink.

I was there for a meeting. The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. There was no signage so it was tough locating the room. Overall, not bad.

Like all Holiday Inn's, the premises was very well upkept and clean! My visit was brief, as I was only stopping through for an event. The staff member at the welcome desk was helpful and hospitable, which made a great impression. I would definitely stay here.

The rooms are a little dated, but overall it's a nice hotel. The lobby, bar, and restaurant seem like they have been renovated recently and the staff is nice.

I have to say it was a very nice hotel from the time we walked in. We were there for a meeting room for the college work shop. The room was a very nice and spacious to hold any meetings to dinners in. Thank you for inviting us.

Downstairs is nice and the hotel is good. Average overall, rooms are slightly outdated. The breakfast buffet is probably slightly below average, though the bacon is good!

Nice place and good location nearby eateries. Stay there for business. Clean and nice staffs. Recommended.

I was at the hotel Saturday, love staying over when I come to Dayton for the Time Warp Prom.

My first time here but it won't be my last! The staff is amazing. When you come here please ask for Adam /Front desk mananger he went above and beyond for me. The full service in-house restaurant called The Wright Restaurant, offers many different dishes 5 start taste for sure you can enjoy the moden style ambience or order room service.! The workout room has everything you need to jump start you day. I highly recommend Holiday Inn 2800 Presidential Dr.

The establishment was extremely welcoming. The staff was very courteous, polite, and attentive. The room was very spacious and nicely put together. The complimentary Keurig in the room was a nice added bonus.

Great location. Free beer and apps Mondays and Tuesdays! Rooms seem recently renovated.

Had a nice restaurant. Very good food. Had a nice inside pool and an exercise room. Very clean.

4 stars because you get what you pay for. Definitely worth the amount of money paid but the rooms are a little run down. The heating and air is pretty loud when it's on and the walls seem super thin, can hear noise real easily. Other than that it's nice for a Holiday Inn.

This place was an excellent hotel for value. Great pool, beautiful restaurant and lobby, attentive staff. We stopped here on a cross country trip and would definitively come again.

We went there for a holiday party in one of the party rooms. Everyone that worked there was wonderful. We stayed the night as well and the rooms were very clean.

Nice venue for professional and social meals. The lobby, restaurant and bar, and ballrooms were recently renovated. The catering is of consistent good quality and staff are professional.

It was fine lipo and the Jente were very friendly.

BEWARE** BUGS HERE! I am currently waiting for this hotel's insurance company to contact me regarding the 38 bed bug bites I received while stating there 11/08/17 in room 226. Based on the lack of regard for my safety before I stayed there and their lack of concern now I would be very weary of staying at this hotel. I understand these things are possible, but so is a reasonable response. Beware! bed bugs here! bed bugs here!

It's a bit cold so I didn't do much but they have an indoor swimming pool and a decent gym for a hotel that size. The front desk are very courteous and the dining area is one of the best I've seen. Also they have a very good variety of breakfast choices.

The staff here have been excellent for our event, very available and friendly to everyone. The meals they provided were good even with our large numbers. Excellent hospitality.

Beautiful hotel — booked via Expedia, last minute. The entryway is gorgeous and Adam was quick and polite at check-in. Stayed with 4 children and it worked out fine. Only suggestion is having stirrers and more sugar/sweetener to go with the coffee cups.

Very nice holiday inn. Lobby with restaurant and bar area, open and inviting area. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel is older but recently updated. Derek at front desk was really nice, met our needs and had a little fun with us too!

The renovated lobby and restaurant area are very nice and roomy. Derek who worked at the front desk was very pleasant and did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The air conditioning worked well and the hotel was quiet even with a soccer tournament going on in area. Would stay again.

We used the back 2 meeting rooms, overall a pleasant experience. The smaller conference room did have a musty odor I'm guessing maybe it's not used as frequently? But they had really nice table cloths in our main meeting room this time! Overall a good place to hold a meeting if you've got a lot of people attending!

A great place for the Ohio Toy and Show! The ballroom was large for all the table setups, and there was even a theater-type room for guest panels. Nice bathrooms. The only issue at this location is parking near the back entrance. There isn't quite enough of it. But overall a great place for an event like this.

Great staff. Everyone is very helpful and professional. The restaurant is great. The only thing I didn't love was that the pool isn't conducive to just sitting around the pool hanging out with your friends. The kids loved it, but the adults had to sit in a strait line around the wall if you didn't get the corner table. But they do have a great outside space to sit. Overall, great hotel.

Over all, the experiance was good. On my trip, our commanders put tape on the door to make sure we didnt leave. Some people from another group ran around and cut the tape on most floors.

The hotel was being remodeled, but everything was still up to par. No complaints as a customer. Clean room, comfy bed, good Wi-Fi.

I am a disabled individual who is incredibly appreciative of their effort to ensure my stay was available and comfortable. Their front desk associate Zane did an outstanding job making sure they not only had a room to accommodate my needs, but also it was convenient and accessible. Good job Zane.

The room was comfortable and spacious. Even with construction and upgrades ongoing, the service was excellent. And no one can say no to a good breakfast buffet.

Service was great! Rooms are a little out dated, and old sheets and an old rickety and sqeaky bed were in my room. Renevations are in progress so im sure this will change soon though! Very friendly staff too!

Had my wedding reception here, and was very pleased with the way it turned out. The food was delicious and everything looked very professional. Would have rated it five stars, but we had ordered mashed potatoes and were served cubed roasted potatoes instead. They were still good, just not what we ordered.

The rooms are dated, low quality TV, only like 20 channels, A/C unit extremely loud, old lumpy bed. The lobby looks nice. The Wi-Fi is ridiculously difficult to re-start every 24 hours. I also think they throttle you after so much, because I would get all my work done and about 1 TV show on Netflix before my connection would drop to less than 1mb/sec. Lame. I wouldn't stay here with my own money.

I booked a room for a night. I then modified the reservation having decided NOT to 'earn' additional priority club points. I then had to cancel the reservation which I did. I was charged for the room because supposedly I chose to pay. I called the hotel and spoke to a person who had been there two months and he promised to follow up and call me back. That was 8 days ago and no call back. I sent an email to IHG and they responded that they had notified this property and that I would be hearing from them. That was five days ago and nothing. I will be in the area on business and drop in and ask personally why their behavior is so irresponsible. For me I intend to use my priority club points on 'free' stays and share this experience with as many people as I can at the many conferences I attend. Typical of corporate America. Short sighted and intensely stupid.
