I recommend this hotel. The services was excellent and my suite was perfect with a wonderful view.

I wish people will stop giving false review at this hotel. The rooms are filthy, no trash can inside the bathroom, the room smells wet, towels smells dirty, carpet is dirty and entrance of the hotel is dirty. Since the lobby is at the 7th floor it seems like they have forgotten to clean the main entrance of the hotel. We stayed in a suite but everything is outdated, old musty carpet and dark hallways. For the expensive price you pay I must give this 0 star at all. Glad we stayed only one night!

The rooms are dirty and there are many things that are broken. I requested that our room be cleaned and the front desk refused. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is broken and there is mold on the bathroom ceiling.

Staff is great. Rooms are clean and sanitized. Great views.

We do NOT recommend this hotel! We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and we’ve never had issues like we did this stay. My husband’s tote bag was stolen out of the room, and top drawer of dresser emptied while we were in meetings during the day. The room was a total shamble and half cleaned …, no follow through from management staff as to why or how this could of happened.

It is a very quiet hotel, clean, romantic, one feels very special.

The customer service was exceptional. However, we did not have hot water for our showers and the room was over 70 degrees no matter how low I put the heat. Sleeping was miserably hot. I will stay at the Hampton Inn or Garden Inn next time. Doubletree will be the last option.

I can not say enough good things about this hotel! The staff at this hotel are second to none. I want to give serious props to Gina and Tamra at the front desk. These ladies were able absolute pleasure to interact with every morning. I had some online purchases delivered there and not only did they accept them, they saw me and had them ready for me before I got to the front desk! It’s close to everything, has an amazing river walkway a block away, delicious restaurant inside the hotel! If my wife and I ever do come back to Columbus, we will definitely stay at this hotel again! The pic attached is the view from our hotel room in the morning!

Terrible customer service! I booked a double bed suite online for a night in Columbus. After receiving a confirmation email that confirmed a King bed suite I called immediately to let them know of error. They told me they didn’t have any double bed suites and I could only get a king. I told them to cancel my reservation literally 10 minutes after making, under impression for the the double beds. The woman I dealt with wasn’t helpful at all and refused to cancel. Said she would have to talk to the manager that would be in at 1 and call me right away. 2 comes around and still no call. I called again and spoke to the same lady and she said the manager was late and should be there in 20 minutes. Of course, I received no phone call, no nothing and a charge for $334 for a room I never stayed in and they booked
Incorrectly on website. This is unacceptable and I will be having my attorney deal with it. This will cost them a lot more then 1 cancellation.

Hotel is located in the heart of downtown and it's easy to access. May seem a little odd to get to but the staff are friendly and helpful. My reservation somehow got accidentally cancelled but they were able to accommodate. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Not brand new but still nicely laid out. Room service was slow and after extra charges and delivery the total cost is almost 50% more than list price. Still I would stay again just not order room service.

Really wish they had a pool. Rooms were nice. No breakfast, only a siWaited 3 hours for towels to be delivered to room, took two phone calls. My 3yo left his blanket, tried to call about it… left name and number but no call back after 2 days. : (

Definitely would stay here again. Rooms are clean and it is a short walk to a lot of places to eat. The gym is the best one I've been to at any hotel… partially due to them sharing with some type of club but if you like to work out during your travels… this is the place to stay.

Me and my significant other stayed here in a King Suite on the 10th floor. Our stay was beyond unpleasurable and the staff was DISRESPECTFUL and the room was DIRTY which is highly unacceptable, there was hair & floss tangled together left in the shower, the bed sheets were never changed and there was a big yellow stain on the sheet from the stay before by whomever, there wasn’t any trash bags in the trash cans. There was MONTHS of dust build up left behind the chair in the bedroom suite and behind the Television in the bedroom. Because of this Hotel refused to compensate me for my troubles or to resolve the issue. On top of that they overcharged my card for the stay saying that it was an incidental fee and that it was be refunded, however it never fell off and is an extra charge on my card, and the amount charged to my card does not reflect the amount stated on my receipt that I received at check-out, which in theory is STEALING in my opinion if it was a transaction I didn’t authorize nor was it shown on the receipt at the time of departure. It’s been 2 days since I checked out of this hotel and I’m still trying to get the situation resolved. I have left a voice mail to the Assistant General Manager and I have yet to receive a call in regards to the situation. I would highly recommend no one to stay here. I figured for it being a downtown location it would be more CLEANER, UPSCALE, & more POLITE but I was wrong and was deceived and disrespected.

The customer service at this hotel is terrific. I arrived to make a presentation at a conference and failed to make an individual reservation (I thought the conference advisors had taken care if this). Geri at the front desk was able to get me a room, a very nice room, for the evening and was then able to get me the same room for the following night, I didn’t need to change rooms at all and seeing how it was my mistake that was terrific. When I needed directions they were able to provide them immediately, when I needed any question answered it was answered. When I had a room service delivery it was speedy and with a great smile and kindness. The negative things are multiple: dated, clock did not work, I could not get the temp in the room to my liking. However I never questioned these issues, perhaps the room they found for me was on the “upgrade” list. I highly recommend this place simply because of the terrific service.

I was charged more than double the amount I made my reservation for. The manager when I spoke with him kept giving me lame excuses after his employees told me there was no way I had that rate. I must’ve not been looking in the right spot. They thought I couldn’t find my original email because I was searching for Hilton. Once I told the manager I found it he came up with reason they made NO logical sense.

The Doubletree is a great place to stay in downtown Columbus. Located right across the street from the capital building, it's very close to many sights and easy access to anything you may need during your stay. The river views from the hotel are amazing, and the windows are large to showcase that. When I checked in I also received a delicious chocolate chip raisin cookie upon check-in, which is nice. The hotel is located on top of the parking garage for easy access.

Stayed at this hotel in Columbus downtown. Love receiving the two bottles of water and the big cookie. Liked the buffet breakfast. Nice large suites with enough room for three goals. Glad there were shuttles to and from the convention center.

Our room looks spacious but is full of damaged elements like missing drawer handle, burned out bathroom light, broken bath tile, sharp splintered wood and sharp metal nails poking out of side of cabinet, lumpy saggy mattress, shower rod is loose, sofa is punctured and stuffing coming out and never could log onto the internet. During the night the power went out and only half of the building had fire alarms go off. Power wasn’t restored for hours so cold showers and no elevator. But the restaurant staff was so nice and offered free breakfast. Upon returning to my room my key card wouldn’t work so staff came up but battery in lock was dead so that had to be repaired. I waited all day for my room to be cleaned and it never was in spite of asking twice for it to be cleaned. There are dirty streaks on walls and furniture all over the room. Can’t wait to leave and never come back here to stay.

We were in town for an event at the Riffe Center. Our room's AC was broken and extremely hot. We reported it to the front desk and were assured maintainance would fix the issue. We left, came back to the room and the thermostat was set on 60° the room was 74° so I called the front desk again. I was assured that it just "takes a while" for it to reset after maintainance. We showered and went to sleep thinking it would cool off… woke up to a hot room, did not rest well at all due to this issue. I told the front desk again at check out. It would have been nice for them to offer a discount, but that did not happen. The bed was comfortable but that is about all the good I can say. Furniture was outdated and worn… but the biggest issue was the temperature!

The room was horrible. There were dirty sheets stuffed in BOTH dressers, no toiletries, dirty carpet, and no answer at the front desk. Awful experience.

We love staying at this hotel, but the quality of the hotel has declined. Our room was not clean again. Upon checking in it was obvious the room had not been cleaned. There were peanuts and other trash on the carpet and bathroom floor. The furniture was dusty and the table and counters were dirty. No mattress cover on the mattress. This was unacceptable! It makes you wonder if the bathroom had been cleaned. We requested a different room. The manager came up and agreed with us. We were moved to a different room. The same thing happened to us in December 2017. Our organization has a contract with Doubletree. We might have to consider a different hotel if the quality does not improve.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I was given the wrong room style upon check in. Not the type I was promised via the representative online Hilton chat. The staff did their best to accommodate this mistake. However, the room was so sub-par nothing could ever make up for this. There were no trash cans in the room, none… we had to call for one. The air conditioning was non-existent, we had it set on 63 while we went out and about and it never cooled down. I'm not even sure the room was cleaned before we checked in as there was a large clipped fingernail on the bedroom floor beside the bed, hairs on the bathroom floor and a white substance all over each wall in the room. The mirror looked as if it had never been cleaned before, with hand prints and streaks all over it. I could continue with the list but at this point its useless! I was so disgusted with the whole situation, as a frequent traveler I expect more from a Hilton property!

Staff is excellent. Rooms are spacious. Close to great food (like Milestone 229). Easy check-in / check-out.

Stayed here the night during my wedding in Columbus, the staff and hotel was great. Centrally located for us. The accommodations were nice and clean. Fancy but not extravagant. Would recommend for anyone staying near downtown Columbus.

I had read reviews after booking this hotel. I was nervous after reading the reviews and was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the reviews written were false. The parking garage is not hard to find at all, it is in a gated garage located to the hotel. Columbus in general is a very historical city, so the decor matches the beautiful building it is in. Our room was just as I envisioned. Of course there will always be minor details that every hotel can update, but the staff was wonderful. The hotel was in a great location overlooking the river.

The location is very centralized to most of the downtown Columbus area. The staff are nice and courtesy. My room was clean and had a great view of the river!

Was there for 3 nights on a business trip. Housekeeping never cleaned my room. I had trash overheeped in my trashcans and had to leave trash on the counters. I really wanted more coffee and needed fresh towels and had to go to the front desk to ask. They eventually did send someone with just those items. I have never been to a hotel that didn't clean and especially one that considers itself to be top rate.

I've stayed here a few times. I must say I've been underwhelmed. The hotel is a bit like Dickens' character, Miss Havisham. At first glance one thinks one sees finery, but look closer and one sees the decayed and tattered true image. Elevators with broken covers over service panels, scuffed and scarred walls in the corridors, dingy brown, tan, and vaguely orange geometric carpeting that looks like it could have been from the 70s or early 80s, window seals hanging from damaged casements, room refrigerators shoved into holes cut into the sideboard, and good-old boy art work that would be at home in men's only clubs from the 50s or 60s in all its waspy splendor. The location is still good though, and dated and damaged as it is, the price is good for being right downtown with views of the river and the Ohio Supreme Court Building. Just don't look too close or ask for too much in modern amenities. They just aren't here.

Location was great, room was extremely clean and very spacious. Parking was also cheap for being a downtown hotel. $25 for in and out privileges per day. Will definitely stay again.

Great room, and easy service! With that being said, finding information on where and how to park was difficult. I didn't see anything clear or visible explaining the situation about the overnight parking in a hard to find garage. Or explaining on whether it was extra, or included in the cost of the room. As for the rooms, our door didn't have quite the snug fit I would have liked. Every time someone opened or closed a door near our room, it would rattle horribly. Definitely difficult to sleep through as you thought someone was trying to come in. All in all, it was clean, great price and would stay again.

The hotel staff were fun to get to know. The bar tenders were fantastic. The rooms were nice and the beds were fantastic. We could not get the digital key feature to work and having to get your parking ticket validated every time you want to leave is a bit much. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would stay again.

I was really impressed with my stay. It's in a great location downtown with complimentary garage parking that makes it easy to walk around and see downtown Columbus. Great large clean rooms. Really everything you could ask for in a stay for business or leisure.

I almost gave this review 3 stars because many of my colleagues had no hot water for their entire stay! But personally, my experience was fine-the room was clean the fitness room was great. Nice location with access to downtown. When I first checked in, both elevators were down, so I had to use the maintenance elevator. This was no big deal, but the elevators kept going down at random times during my stay and was clearly an ongoing issue. Staff were nice, but overall the hotel didn't always seem organized.

We stayed at this location to attend an OSU game. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it was 26 degrees outside and our room had no heat. There was only one elevator working for 10 floors of people. The following day, with still no heat, the hot water went out. That got corrected quickly but it took a while to get the heat working. The hallways and elevators were dirty. The bathroom was old, dirty and needed some serious maintenance. Caulking was coming off, the granite had been ruined and there was mold growing in the shower. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful but they couldn't get things done quickly. This is the third time Hilton has disappointed us as Hilton Honors members. Looks like Marriott has won us over.

We had our wedding reception at Capital Club and it was perfect! The staff was excellent and made the day super easy for us, beautiful, and the food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend even outside of large events, even if you're just looking for a place to stay or even going to grab some dinner or drinks. Patrick Beaver the event planner was the best!

Stayed here for the premiere Beauty classic and couldn't have been happier with our room! Very spacious room with updated an extra amenities! Hotel bartender was friendly and efficient! Short drive to the convention center.

Only stayed for a night but the hotel room was very nice and clean. The only problem was that only one elevator worked and that in order to get from the street to the rooms was to take two different elevators. The staff was very helpful with finding restaurants and venues as well.

While the room was very spacious and the bed was extra comfortable, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. First off, the hotel front desk staff seemed to be baffled by our request to pay for the balance on our room part cash and part debit card — giant mistake on our part as they charged the entire balance of the room to our debit card along with taking our cash My wife and I had to speak with the front desk several times to get the issue straightened out, which resulted with us getting our cash refunded to us upon checkout. However when we got home, an additional charge had been authorized on our debit card, totaling over $600 in pending transactions. Several calls to the hotel ended up with my wife being placed on hold for 20 minutes and promises of calls back that went unfulfilled. The hotel only had 1 working elevator for 10 floors of rooms during a weekend where there was a home Ohio State football game and several weddings, making going up and down a complete nightmare — especially on Sunday when everyone was trying to check out at once. While I commend the staff for being professional, I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there until the elevator is fixed and pay with cash.

Not very clean: hair in the bath tub, mold on the floor and bath tub, blood stain on the carpet, could definitely use some dusting. No sheet for the mattress of the sofa bed, there were no towels in the bath room (had to go ask and they were very friendly about it, but come on no towels in a bath room?! ).
Breakfast and parking were extra $$. Won't stay here again!

I've been a repeated guest here for three years now and this recent stay has been rather disappointing. It seems like once they knew there would be renovations next year they stopped fixing things since it would be a waste. The entire stay of three evenings only one of the two elevators were functioning. It's very problematic when in the morning everyone is checking out with their gigantic suitcases and in the afternoon everyone is checking in with them and the elevator will only hold 5 maybe 6 people then. Give yourself extra time where ever you're heading to because you'll be waiting ten minutes for an elevator. Additionally the bathroom floor was sticky and the bathroom smelled like the cleaning people just streaked urine that was already on the floor with a towel to "clean" the bathroom. Another thing about the bathroom is the towel hook was missing so there's no where to hang up your bath towel to conserve on usage. It's rather sad when this is generally a lovely hotel with great access to most of Columbus. In a way I'm glad it's my last stay here but sad I won't see the renovations. I'd be concerned if staying during the renovation process, best of luck!

We stayed in a King corner suite with a city view and the room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The service was great but they didn't serve the room until our second night, which was fine. If we had needed something they would've been happy to help.

Great sized rooms and very comfortable! Plus the cookies are always great… personnel were friendly and helpful, but the cleaning of the room was half done. Bed not always made and had to call for fresh towels at 7 pm since our used ones were dumped by the door and not replaced.

Room is very spacious is the only positive about it. Gave us the wrong room initially. Called for housekeeping at 6:30 pm after they never came in the morning and at 10:15 pm they still had not come. Tried calling the front desk with no answer so went down there to at least get clean towels and request housekeeping. A young gentleman came up with clean linens and said he's new and they didn't train him on how to change/make the bed. It took him at least 20 minutes to change 1 bed and put sheets on the pull out couch. The pull out couch feels like you're going to fall through it. No fan in the bathroom, broken shower curtain, a dirty washcloth when it's suppose to be clean and more. Completely disappointed for the price paid.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and updated. The only complaint I can think of is I wish their room service menu had more options. Great visit! We'll be back.

Great location for downtown. It's not right in the heart of the arena district, but it's pretty close. There's also a bar and restaurant attached, which is very convenient. It's a little older, which is evident in some areas, but overall still very nice. The room was clean and very big. Parking is a bit of a hassle with the need to validate every time you go back to the hotel, but we were told this was because the machines are new.

Got the feeling of greed from the company. $17 for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous in my opinion. $25 per car per night for parking is unnecessary. Apparently $180 a night for a hotel room wasn't enough. Especially for a hotel without a pool or shared hot tub both my wife and I could enjoy together. I'll try to avoid this place in the future.

Cons: Pokey, questionable Internet access, funky black mold growing on the ceiling, no free parking. Pros: Suites are enormous, well appointed, and surprisingly affordable. Upper floor rooms enjoy nice views of the city. Growing number of places for food and drinks within easy walking distance as Columbus' downtown renewal continues.

We had no need to use any services provided by the hotel, so I am limited to the services I can review. The rooms were beautifully arranged and the view from our 9th floor room was outstanding. I'm confident I will stay at the Doubletree again.

Check in was great. The rooms are good size but when we opened the blinds in our room we noticed paint chips on the window sill. We looked up and there was extensive water damage and black fuzzy mold. We checked the other windows in our room and it had the same water damage and fuzzy black mold. I informed the front desk and they were very nice and accommodating and switched us into a different room. That room also had water damage and fuzzy black mold above the windows. Went back to the front desk to let them know again, asked for a manager but one was not on duty. They were understanding and helpful but I was just concerned about the health issues and mold issues of the two previous rooms they gave us (they were on different floors and both had mold). They upgraded us to a very nice suite which didn't have mold but did have water damage on the ceilings. The staff was very nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here due to health concerns.

In town for the 2cellos concert. Stayed in room 302. Very quiet, clean and great view. Windows could be cleaned from the outside to offer a clearer view. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had an issue with our TV reception and telephones not working in room. They offered us free breakfast vouchers. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very accommodating. It was my husbands birthday and I requested room service and a card to be added. They went the extra mile and added a Ballon and candles. Great experience.

Super disappointed. I had a 2 room king suite with river view. While it was a nice room, it was also across from the elevator. Clearly heard the elevator going up and down all night, not to mention the people exiting the elevator. Terrible. Did not sleep the entire night. Do not take room 210. The breakfast buffet is not free as with most other properties. No clearly visible sign either. $30 for 2. $30 for terrible eggs, so so potato's and a fruit cup. Parking garage sign has 24 hour parking for $18, but since you are a hotel guest you pay $22. That I do not understand either.

Very spacious rooms that are conveniently located across the street from the Supreme Court. Easy access to downtown Columbus sites. Valet parking is not available and you will need to park in the garage located around the corner from the main entrance, which is a little confusing. Room was very clean. Workout room is only open til 9pm during the week.

Stayed with a friend and would not recommend. I was told chechin was at 4:00, at 6:30 we still had no room and receptionist was handing out rooms to quests that arrived hours after we did! What good is a reservation? We had to change clothes for a concert and the hotel maid just walked in without knocking!. We came back from the concert and out room was an oven. Before. We went out we turned the heat off, now we had to wait for a maintence man to repair the heater. Hilton should not destroy their reputation by being associated with this Doubletree.

The staffs were super friendly. Don't forget to check-in as HHnors members. You will get a great room with free bottled water service.

The location of the hotel is in downtown Columbus central to all amenities and tourism sites. The room itself was very clean and everything was in the room but I could have needed. Regarding the service everyone is very polite and professional.

The room is great 5 stars there. The restaurant is awful, 1 star. Overall 3 stars. If I didn't eat at their restaurant it would have been 5 stars.

Room was decent. Couple stains on carpet and fixture was loose in kitchen. Lack of amenities and pricey parking.

Stayed on a Friday in August 2015. Horribly dated and unclean guest room with ineffective and loud AC unit. Asked front desk to look at AC and never knew if they checked. They did not follow-up with us. We slept in the heat and it was terrible. Not near Hilton standards. Time to sell this property, Hilton! Do not stay here. Not worth the expense. I seek out Hilton and Marriott for consistently clean and updated hotel rooms. This place big disappointment.

Okay, I liked the place BUT paying for Wi-Fi in your room is ridiculous. Plus the night we stayed they were having a cannabis convention. Smoke weed everyone. Not something you normally want to see when checking in. Had to stand there a few minutes while waiting for the one lone desk attendant talk on the phone with someone, with not even a node our way to acknowledge that we were there. We could hear the T. V. From the other room and hear the people talking too. I went down to the bar to have a drink and there were about 5 people sitting around the bar but no bartender. I sat there a few minutes and asked a guy next to me where the bartender was and he said that he was there a few minutes ago. So waited a couple more minutes then just left. Whatever.

Stay here at least once a year and always been good. Got to love the free cookies.

Nice, spacious rooms, great fitness center and great location. Only negative was that fact that they do NOT offer free wireless internet! It will cost you $10 per day. Parking is a bit pricey at $22 per day.

Eh, the rooms were clean enough. But I expected better service. The breakfast was ok. Parking was fine. It's easy to find and parking is good. When I stayed there, it was a bit noisy, but I know there was a group staying at the same time so this may not aways be the case.

The hotel and room is very nice. For 2014, they cut out full breakfast for Diamonds and Golds, and instituted "Continental Breakfast" which is basically toast, cereal, and orange juice. Very disappointed this go-round.

If I am on a trip and need to get a hotel and I have options, I am likely to stop at the Doubletree because they have the BEST cookies. I know that is not the best reason to choose a hotel but they have the recipe DOWN and their marketing team were smart to employ such a delicious strategy lol. Beyond that the hotel is always clean and the service is friendly when I go so it is a good place to stay while working on the road. Jennifer Nicole Camp.

For $170 per night, you'd think you'd get a bit more. Here are my biggest complaints: 1) I paid $13 for a pot of coffee. It was on the room service menu, 3 different sizes, the largest size being $7.50. I was fine with that — — we had a few friends in the room and didn't want to have to make single packets all morning. When we received the bill, it was $13 for the coffee and when I called the front desk to ask why the price was double what the room service menu said, their response was simply, "that is the price for a pot of coffee. " 2) No free internet. $10/day and the speeds were absolutely atrocious. Find a local coffee shop with free internet. Don't pay for their archaic connection that should be provided complimentary. 3) No complimentary breakfast. Again, for their rates, some breakfast would be nice. Even if it was just some fruit and toast offerings. 4) Parking was $18/day. Overall my experience was price gouging at it's finest. I'll never stay at another Hilton hotel.
