It's the best hotel in the Tri-State area. It's the only one I'll stay at when I come in from Texas.

Very happy with my experience at Comfort Suites! The general manager really went to bat for us to receive a refund from Expedia when the hotel lost power due to ice storms. We were so happy with our experience, we stayed two nights the following week when our own house lost power again as the linemen worked to restore power to our neighborhood. Fast, friendly service and clean rooms. Thank you!

Stayed because our generator stopped working amidst below freezing temperatures from winter storms Uri AND Viola. Nice, clean suite with a sitting area. They served to go breakfasts due to COVID 19.

Love the people that work here. Great place to stay.

Very nice staff and clean rooms!

We chose this Comfort Suites because it was a good place to stay because of a stop we will be making. Jo, manning the desk immediately made us feel welcomed when we arrived and was friendly and helpfull as we dtermined whato eat. The inn is undergoing some renovations, some apparently completed in our room. Nice Inn in the Huntington srea!

Kaitlin Bennett just had $1500 stolen from her room at this establishment by a employee. Find another place to stay, don't support thieves and companies that do nothing about crime to their guests.

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The location is 2940 County Rd 144, South Point Ohio.
When we made our reservations, we asked for and the manager, Rebecca, guaranteed over the phone that we wound have adjoining rooms as we were traveling with a baby. However, when we got there, there were none available. They promised our third room to be on the same floor as the other 2 rooms and all they had available when we checked in were 3 rooms on 3 different floors. We asked for a refund of the 3rd room and was told they would process a refund. That did not happen and they now refuse to refund money for a room that we did not stay in. The other two rooms had broken furniture, stained bedsheets and a dirty toilet. I have contacted Comfort Suites corporate headquarters and I am waiting on a return phone call but the on-site manager at the Comfort Suites in South Point told me that they are privately owned and they don’t answer to the corporate headquarters so I’m not even sure we will get any place with that.
I would never book with Comfort Suites again and hope other travelers choose elsewhere as well. Extremely poor and unprofessional management and deplorable room conditions.

Had a great stay. Rooms were very clean and nice. The breakfast was really good with a nice variety. The staff at the desk was super nice and very personable and helpful. We usually stay at another hotel close by, but from now on this will be our go to spot! Would recommend to anyone!

Normally I really like staying in Comfort Suites. They are a good stay for the money, but this one was a bit of a letdown. Our room was super damp like sleeping in an old basement. When I walked into the hallway in the morning the door to the pool room was propped open with a chair. Seems like a liability with kids walking around. The outside door at the end of the hallway was also open. Breakfast bar was pretty typical but the eggs tasted like papier-mâché. Again I really like Comfort Suites but this one needs some work.

The staff was the best over all. The rooms where clean everything was wonderful.

I've stayed in many hotels, but this hotel was 1 of the best! I like to stay in the king bed, jacuzzi suite which is so roomy! the linens are always clean, no stains. They store extra pillows in the closet which is nice cause I sleep with many! The refrigerator always has 2 complimentary waters. There's so much to choose from at the complimentary breakfast, but it's not just the quantity I like, it's the quality! the staff is warm & welcoming! They really go the extra mile to make sure you are enjoying your stay. But above all that my favorite thing is that the entire facility is non~smoking. However they do provide a kazebo for those who do smoke. I highly recommend this hotel! I added pictures. Some of them are from there website & some are pictures I took. I did this so you can see that the pictures on their website are accurate. I posted 1 from the website then right beside each picture from their website is a picture taken by me. Hope this helps.

Clean room, little hot/humid in parts of hotel. Breakfast was good but had to wait a while for them to fill the trays with food.

Very nice people had a great time. I loved the pool for the grandkids. The gazebo was great spent a lot of time there. Family reunion went great and this place was great to come back to.

Our initial room had a dirty stained looking curtain and gnats galore all over the inside of the window. The staff was accommodating and we were moved to a different room without difficulty. The rest of our experience was enjoyable and I would recommend it.

Update, 4/12/18: I spoke to the GM, Christian Patel, this morning. He, of course, deflected responsibility and claimed that despite asking if we wanted it insured and what the valuation was, supposedly didn't actually think we wanted it insured for $1000. What a CYA move, Christian. He then proceeded to become more and more belligerent with me on the phone, yelling over me constantly. I asked him several times, with increasing frustration, to stop talking over me/interrupting me and he continued to barrel onwards. So finally I did tell him to shut the F up. He then got all high and mighty because I dared curse despite him being incredibly belligerent to me and began to mock me. I asked him for the number for corporate customer service and he gave me the number for the reservation line for Choice Hotels instead. I got ahead of Choice Hotels customer service on my own and let them know the whole sordid tale. Sadly for Comfort Suites South Point, Christian has soured me on what would have otherwise been a decent experience with only minor issues. I visit the Ironton-Ashland-Huntington region twice a year and was hoping to find a hotel I could count on and come back to, but it probably won't be this one so long as this issue remains unresolved and Christian continues to think he can shirk responsibility and treat customers the way he does. I now wish I could give negative stars, solely for my interactions with Mr. Christian Patel.

We’ve had to stay here due to a house fire. The staff has been way beyond loving and caring and has taken us in like family. The room we’re staying in is very nice and very clean! The complimentary breakfast is delicious and the pool and workout room are very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Excellent staff. Friendly and fun. Easily the best to stay within 20 miles. This is just me singing some stevie wonder, it is not related to my review. Although, for musical reasons, stevie is the man. As far as hotels, this is the one.

The staff tried really hard to make this stay nice but there were a lot of things that just did not quite work out. I reserved a Jacuzzi suite which smelt of mold and mildew (room 203) so bad I could not stay in it. The tile arround the tub was in disrepair see pictures. They managed to get me into a different suite (room 303) that did not smell but they had to run an extension cord down the hall to get the tub to work. I appreciated the effort the manager put in to make this work out or the evening would have been a total disaster. — THE STAFF WAS AWESOME — the pool area was having drywall work done so it was closed. The next morning the shower did not work in my room but the staff was quick to respond and get me keys to another room so I could shower. The internet worked well and the breakfast was typical for a choice privileges property. This is not a bad property but it could use some attention and maybe if I had requested a regular king suite my experience would have been different. I would try this again in the future maybe.

We stayed here this past weekend for a cheer comp! Omg it was the best ever! I am a single mom and had an 8/3 year old with me! The staff was so accommodating we checked in and warm chocolate chip cookies were made! My kids were floored by the hot breakfast spread and the rooms were clean and warm! I would def stay there again! Thanks for everything ladies!

Nice, modern enough hotel. Clean rooms with the essentials. Standard room does NOT have a kitchenette of any kind but other suite options may. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently positioned in the middle of the Tri-State area between the airport and Huntington. Pool and gym are tiny, but exist. It would be nice if they had a BBQ (grill) outside for guests.

This was a very up to date and comfy hotel. The mattress was not too hard or soft and the bathroom was amazing with stone vanity top and a great shower. The staff was great. Food was good. And, check in and check out went without a "hitch".

Friendly staff, clean rooms, the internet actually works unlike most hotels. Heated pool seemed nice though I didn't use it. Food across the street and quick access to downtown Huntington via car. Key reader worked my entire stay and didn't have to replace a card over the course of a week.

Our family stayed at this hotel last night and my sister is handicapped. She has a lot of stomach issues and just recently got a colostomy (which means she does not have bowel movements). She got sick in the middle of the night on the bed sheets and my mom cleaned it up the best she could with a towel; however, we were charged with a $125 dollar fee because she “soiled” the bed sheets. I definitely do not recommend this hotel!

The hotel itself is very comfy and clean, I had a great nights sleep. However, this is the second time out of only 2 total stays that I have had billing troubles. Last time it took a few months to resolve. Hopefully this time will be significantly quicker. The location to food is good, but there's not a lot to do without a little drive to Huntington.

We found this hotel and have been there 2 times going back in a couple months. I am pleased with this place and enjoy my time spent there. Rooms are clean, staff are great, breakfast is nice and hot. No complaints here.

Very disappointed. Room's smells like they had mold growing. Wal paper coming off wall in room 102. I had the worse experience ever at this hotel. Told the front desk staff I was in a hurry grandbaby was diagnosed with cancer trying to get room got keys at 3:00 Pm. Didn't get back to room till 7:30 the room smelt like mold and the Wall paper was falling off. Front desk staff offered me another room. Which had the same smell. I asked the front desk staff if my charge was taken care of and she said un huh. Did not get a receipt for my stay and now the manager Christian Patel says I have nothing coming. That I left the room dirty, don't know how I could leave it any dirtier. Avoid this hotel if you want to get sick. Horrible service.

My room was clean and was nice and big. I was on a work trip and the internet was not working. I also had to go down to the front desk twice because my keys were not working.

Awesome place. Very clean. In room coffe and continental breakfast. I like this place more than the Beligio inVegas.

Nice place. But full of kids running the hall way past midnight. People at the front desk did nothing about it. Pool was so cold it could not be used. Breakfast was terrible and cold.

A decent room for a great price. The free breakfast is almost non-existent. Needs so. E repairs but not too bad.

I was in room 206, which has two beds, a flat panel tv, desk with a chair, fridge and microwave. It also had a pull out sofa bed. The hotel itself was nice and clean but will need renovated soon. The breakfast was good but the juice machine was out of order so they had juice in pitchers. It was a typical choice hotels breakfast. The room and bathroom was clean, the shower had good pressure. The ice machine was on the second floor which was convenient for me and the parking lot is just big enough for a box truck. You couldn't fit a semi with trailer in the lot but there is grass in front of the hotel and there was a semi trailer in the grass already. Overall it was a decent night's stay but the hotel should probably be downgraded to a Comfort Inn.

Nice hotel, building and location. Bed was comfortable. Front desk was not too friendly on check in. Serious lack of maintenance was evident. Security lights in parking lot were out. Shower wouldn't drain, TV kept wanting to play Direct pay TV movies and wouldn't play regular TV. Wallpaper was peeling. Cleanliness in elevator. They could try a little harder.

Breakfast was good, beds comfortable, room clean. Staff were great, they let me use the business center even after I checked out.

We always have a good experience staying here. The location is convenient to both Huntington and Ashland, the rates are affordable, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is always helpful. The Wi-Fi may sometimes be a bit overloaded but that's a hazard of all venues. There is a fitness room, laundry, and pool as well.

Nice service. Appreciate the smoke free environment and included breakfast. Suite setup good for traveling with a child.

Great place to stay… great room.

Only one problem. The heated pool room was freezing. Your fine in the water but once you get out it's to cold. There were people in the room watching children swim and they had their winter coats on. Everything else was great.

Clean, inviting comfortable. Just a few miles off the hwy without a sign to advertise. Right on the w. Virginia / ohio line. Good rate. Breakfast satisfactory, pleasing and CLEAN room. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Nice room, good service! Worth the money!

The room was clean and the front desk staff extremely nice! But the room smelled of mold. I am highly allergic to mold and got very sick the next day. The breakfast was not very good either. The milk had turned just a little, coffee was lukewarm and the waffles tasted as if the batter was old. I did not see any staff working the kitchen besides the very nice young man from front desk so I suspect they are understaffed. We would not stay here again because of the mold, but otherwise we would. We don't always eat continental breakfast so that would not be a deciding factor for us.

I stayed thanksgiving weekend. Was not to bad. Cpl small issues. Room coffee pot was broke. And pool heater wasnt working. Otherwise not bad. So I decide to return for memorial day weekend. 3 weeks before memorial day my father had a severe stroke and has been in icu. So obviously im not able to travel right now. So I called corporate. They direct me to the hotel. So I call the hotel and talk to a manager? she said she would see what she could do and get back to me. Over a week goes by. No call. So I called again. The phone is disconnected. So I call corporate again. They get the same. Nothing they can do. So later I called my credit card to see if they could help. He got through on a 3 way call. Again I explain the situation im in. The woman remembered me. And says her boss hasnt been in? so we ask her to call her boss. Hes not available? I ask her to call me back. Still no call back,, if you cant do anything to help me at least have the courtesy to CALL BACK! I will go back to staying in Ashland KY. I make this trip once/twice a year.
