I made a reservation 1month ahead of time. I call and left messages numerous times. No one got back to me. Now it came the day of and I got a charge of 102. I called and he told me no cancellation number I can't give you your money back. He didn't even give me confirmation number. So if I were you I would go to the Grand. It's alot better motel. This guy does not speak English very well neither.

Booked full. Noisy, anyways… cops were out front when I showed up. Pretty sure someone got arrested.

The property reeked of steamed urine, but only outside in the parking lot — which is difficult to avoid, really. The room was clean, however, and smelled like nothing but clean sheets. Not much could be heard from outside over the rattle & hum of the a/c unit, either. I like that. Especially in that part of the world halfway through July: What is going on outside is of little concern with good a/c and owners who understand that as long as your money is green, they are easy like Sunday morning.

I don't even want to give a full star, let alone even half, or one at all. Rooms are disgusting, outdated, full of bugs (ESPECIALLY BED BUGS), and the lot is overall shady. Cops literally showed up over 5 times over the time that I stayed there. Drugs, drinking, and illegal activity are no surprise in the area. Management was horrible. This man charged each person different prices for the same pay period, sold rooms while people were still living in them, and booted doors. One situation completely ended our stay at the motel. It was the last day of our rent, and we were out of town. He called and He repeatedly showed up demanding money, and when we requested to collect our things and leave, he refused to open the door without collecting a 40$ fee. When I asked what the fee was for, he said that it was for our overnight stay, which we actually slept in my car because he had booted the door the night before. We did end up paying the fee just to get our things, and we will NEVER do service with this motel again. This place should be out of business, and is overall horrible. Nobody should stay at this motel.

Paid for a week as we had just come here and no place to live yet. Owner seemed pretty niceat first. Rooms were, to put it nicely, HORRIBLE. We had to change rooms after our first night. I'm disabled, and we were told we could move after my boyfriend got off work. Nope, had to move immediately so I had to move everything myself. Then, the owner rented our room during a busy weekend for this area, and TOLD me I would be moving as soon as the other room was clean. It was worse than the one we were already in! Then he was watching me with another guest through my window. To top it all off, I found a cockroach the night before on thefloor in the bathroom, then my boyfriend had one in his coffee cup the morning the rest of this mess took place. Not kidding… both rooms we were in had blood stains among other stains all over the floors, food splattered on the walls and ceiling, tub wasn't cleaned, I forgot my shower chair when I moved everything from one room to another and when my boyfriend got there and went to ask theowner for it, he said there was no shower chair left in that room and that maybe we left it in our car by accident. Ummmm… I had taken a shower that first night and then walked everything back and forth to the second room we got since my boyfriend had the car… that only leaves one place and I knew I forgot it a couple of hours after, but the owners and housekeeper were gone when I tried to reach him.

Clean and Spacious rooms with comfortable chairs, larger mini fridges. Staff is great. Very helpful. Office was open in the middle of the night, and I was able to get a room at 3 am. The motel next door didn't even come to the office door when I rang the right after hours bell. It's quiet. And it's a really good price for what I have gotten. I recommend the rainbow to singles, and couples traveling on a budget. I will stay here everytime I come to Hastings from now on.

If there was no other place to stay, I wouldn't stay there. Roomsbare dirty, beds are hard as a rock. Some very shady people can be found there. I couldn't even give it 1 star. So find some place else to stay. Sorry but this place is the "pits". As my mother would say.

Great ghetto hotel! I've stayed in a few of these places across the country and this was the safest feeling. Not the cleanest but my cats enjoyed chasing the flies, though the time of year was more to blame than anything else for that. Smelled a bit like incense or powder carpet cleaner. Warm and comfortable. The price is better than the KOA camp grounds and far warmer, with a shower!

Don't get your hopes up for the Wi-Fi. They advertise continental breakfast and of course there is none. The only reason I contiued to stay for the duration of the time I was in town, was because despite the owner is a very good person, I was there for work and he helped me out a couple of times when I was in a spot from being short on funds.

Bed Bugs! Do not stay here unless you want to bring bed bugs home which cost thousands to get rid of! I found the bed bugs at 1:30 am. I walked to the front desk but the office was closed so I left my keys and drove an hour to another hotel. I have never had to leave a hotel before. When I called in the morning to request reimbursement, I was told by the employee that the owner probably wasn't going to reimburse me. What?! I have never even heard of this before. The place is dirty and run down. I don't mind staying at cheap motels at all but this is ridiculous. Bed bugs are not okay. I can almost guarantee they rented out that same room tonight without any bed bug treatment! There were two ther rooms leaving at the same time as me due to bed bugs. Gross!

You couldn't pay me to stay here again. There are a ton of people living here and tons of drug deals going on. I got woke up at 545 am to people screaming they were going to kill the other person. This went on for a hour. Got no sleep… felt filthy when I left. The owner is super shady. I asked if I could have my appointments for the next day faxed there he said no problem. Went to office to get them he tried charging me $15 for 14 pieces of paper that had copies of other peoples drivers licenses printed on the other side. Overall scary place!

This place is full of bugs. The good reviews you read are no dought from the owner and his extended family. I was giving a refund, because I paid cash. However my to buddies paid with a credit card and the girl didnt know how to refund that. They went back later and the owner said the room was fine and would not refund thier money, even thou the girl saw all the bugs.

Non Smoking room smelled like someone unloaded a pack right on the bed. Sheets were yellow and had mouse feces stuck to the side. I found bugs all over the bathroom. Way outdated appliances. Unsafe electrical. Wallpaper peeling away. Staff is very unhelpful. Tried booking over the phone and they upped the price $20 when I showed up. Unable to connect to Wi-Fi. Would have given 0 stars if possible.

I've stayed here several times over a few years. Been in at least 4 of the rooms and they are pretty consistent. They all have refrigerator, microwave and a small wide-screen TV. I never experienced bedbugs in any of them. The rooms were sufficiently clean, including the bathrooms. It isn't high-end quality. For that you'd have to pay at least 4-6 times as much per night. But for the budget rate in the range of $45-55/nt, it's satisfactory. I stayed at a Motel 6 in the same region within weeks of my last Rainbow stay. It cost $20 more. Clean, but no refrigerator or microwave. Less value than Rainbow.

Cheap price. Comfy rooms. Great hospitality. While the building is older, the owner personally walked me to my room to verify it was okay. The bed is comfy, and the fully furnished rooms have an atmosphere you don't get in the chain hotels. For the price, this was an amazing value.

I was eaten alive all night by bed bugs! I have a terrible reaction to them having experienced the problem years prior so I know thats exactly what it was!

This motel is the filthiest bug infested crack hotel that I had the misfortune of choosing recently. Upon check in, the owner "Raj" seemed pleasant, acted like he took great pride in his hotel… the room was absolutely disgusting, floor wasn't vacuumed, bathtub had dried soap scum all over, dead bug body parts were everywhere, there was d Filth buildup on all the baseboards, and one wall looked as if someone had sneezed & sprayed phlegm all over it. But the very best part, had to be the discovery of 4 used syringes under the nightstand, dried blood & no caps. Raj also has a HUGE problem with AMERICAN GIRLS… Apparantly we are all lazy & worthless. No good to hire. Don't know how to work. Beware high school softball teams!

This place was terrible, dirty, outdated, and the worst place I have ever stayed! Rust, mold, stains and the walls are so thin that you can hear everything going on in the rooms next door. Please see the photos I took. By the way the pictures listed of the room and front desk are not the actual motel advertised (Very deceptive).

This is a terrible place to stay. First off, they do not collect the keys back. My husband stayed there and a previous rent of the room came in at night when he was there. When he spoke with the owner Vin, he was informed that he used to rent the room, but was arrested for DWI and that he was harmless. 3 other people then came into the room and the last time when he went to complain, they stole things out of the room. The rooms are dirty and disgusting. There was no phone, alarm clock, refrigerator or anything that was promised when I called. The place should be condemned.
