Just coming onto the property it looks very well kept, once inside it's so spacious the rooms are pristine and the beds are comfortable and huge… will definitely come back to this suite when I'm in this part of town!

Beautiful room with lots of space and very clean. Super staff, friendly and courteous. Big new washer and dryer which was great for catching up on laundry! But pool water was green and smelled funny. The grandkids were disappointed that we didn't get to swim.

Excellent hotel! The staff was beyond kind, accommodating and welcoming. If I ever stay in this area again I will stay here. The bathrooms and rooms were nice and clear. The only con is that breakfast is not included (but they do have a decent spread for breakfast at the restaurant attached). Spare yourself the headache and don't stay anywhere else!

POOL IS CLOSED! If you are looking for a hotel mostly for The kids to use the indoor pool I would suggest a different location at least until July 13th. Based on my experience as a pool owner that is how long it is going to take them to get this pool cleaned and sterilized. You can barely make out the 4 foot rings of dirt at the bottom of the 4’ deep pool. Imagine how a full tub would look if you gave a kid a bath after a full day at the beach covered with sand and sunblock. Now take an entire teenage track and field team and wash them off in the pool after a day of sand and sweat and lotion. I would take a picture but they have since closed the pool and limited access. It’s an indoor pool that looks like it went through an uncovered winter outside. Except for that this is a clean updated hotel.

I stayed here for one night this pass Saturday, I can in town with my one year old granddaughter for a graduation celebration. The accommodation were nice however when I booked if they had told me there was a Greek Festival going on until midnight with loud music playing, I would have booked elsewhere. Needless to say my grandbaby couldn't go to because of the noise so she was fussy. I down to the front desk about 10 pm to find out if they had a band playing down stairs and that's when I was told there is a Greek Festival going on and it should stop shortly, I stated my grandchildren a one year old is trying to go to sleep, I was asked what do she want to party, I stayed no she want to go to sleep. I paid $169 with tax for this one and we had to be up by 7:30 am and I didn't get to sleep until almost 2 am. I'm very disappointed.

I was an overnight guest and it was a very good hotel. The rooms were nicely kept and service was good.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast has a pretty good assortment to choose from. Our only problem there was some kids whose parents were allowing them to roam the hallway making noises in the wee hours.

Second time I have stayed in one of their hotels and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, great service, clean and smells wonderful every time you walk through the door!

Not one of the better HI Expresses. They had done renos which helped spruce it up a bit, but they were clearly done cutting corners. The tub had the dirty looking residue of no-slip decals (I was glad I didn't need to shower). The one bed had clearly been slept in and remade! Fortunately, the other bed was clean. The breakfast was so-so, not bad for a free hotel breakfast.

Rooms were nice and clean with modern furniture. Helpful staff. Definitely enjoyed my stay.

Was an OK room the beds felt cheap and I didn't sleep well hence the 3 star rating. Plenty of places to eat and the internet was decent. Rooms were clean and the staff was also pleasant.

Needed to go stop by because we were visiting family who was visiting us (I know, weird). The lobby is beautiful and everyone was wonderful and friendly. The complimentary coffee was great for hotel coffee too!

Newly renovated 13 yr old property that’s pretty… and very nice staff but it’s understaffed and they need to learn how to CLEAN! I can’t say I’d stay here again.

The hotel is well kept and clean. The breakfast in the morning is good. The reason for the three stars is because the first room we were put in had water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom and the vent was falling out of the ceiling. But we were quickly put in another room once I called the front desk. Very Friendly And helpful staff.

New hotel, very nice accommodations, and a pretty good complimentary breakfast. My wall thermostat didn't affect the HVAC unit; I had to adjust temperature using dials on the unit instead.

Check-in was quick, the staff friendly, rooms were clean, and hotel was quiet. Room decor is combination between 70's throwback of yellows, greens and acqua and brown IKEA-like furnishings. Nice variety of power ports for charging your electronics. Breakfast area is very spacious; it can host many patrons, simultaneously. The food itself was bland, as if everything came directly from a plastic wrapper. The location is convenient; just off the interstate and a few miles from Christopher Newport University. You have to enter the property through an adjacent hotel, see the posted pictures.

I stay here every month on business and so far so good… keep it up!

This place seems to be pretty new or renovated. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Odd location and entrance.

Amazing staff and the rooms were fun an modern. Super quiet. Only was going to stay one day, ended up staying three, exploring the area.

To start, the parking lot is strange because you have to go through another hotel's parking lot to get there. Once you arrive, everything else is fine. The people at the front desk where very cheerful and helpful. The layout of the hotel is very simple, and its easy to find ice machine, the pool and the complimentary breakfast area. Our room was neat and clean, and contained a microwave, dorm fridge, and a Kurig machine. We had pretty much everything we needed. Our stay was relaxing, and we'd definitely stay with them again.

Wow! Blown away by the modern design of this location. I am not sure if it was recently remodeled, as many HIE locations are going through the process now, but overall this location really impressed me. The decor is one thing, but the comfortable spaces and seating areas in the lobby, the clean, well equipped gym, and the room layout really are a step above many other HIE locations. The rooms are clean, smell fresh, and have furniture that is not only sleek and modern, but efficient. There are spaces for everything from lounging to working, as well as a plethora of outlets everywhere. Very pleased, and I hope this is a sign of the direction of the brand. Great service, and exceeds the high standards of the brand.

Hotel room was great. Fitness center was a bit lacking, it only had free weights and some cardio equipment. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. Overall a good stay.

Remodel is in progress, new parts great. Old parts OK, better when all complete.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and especially David who put us in one of the newly renovate rooms. The new rooms are fantastic… Keep up the great work IHG and David.

Really nice place. Internet could be better/faster, but it gets the job done. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff is friendly. We spent 4 nites here during a basketball tournament. Would definitely come back.

Terrible customer service period. WAKE UP, the customer is what it's all about! I WAS a loyal Priority Club member until this particular location treated me like some vagabond off the street! For roughly 10 yrs I did my best to remain a loyal customer of the Holiday Inn hotels, that all changed today. I will NEVER stay at another Holiday Inn property ever again! One would think that years of business, they would do their best to work with people in a unfortunate situation right? No, not this location, to them, being a Priority Club member means NOTHING! To make a long story short, I, for the first time forgot to bring my Corporate card with me on business. I only had enough funds on my debit card for one night. When I explained this to the attendant, she said that there was nothing they could do, that they would have to charge all three nights to my debit card. I told her that my Corporate card was being over-nighted and if she could simply enter my debit card in the system until the Corporate Card arrived-I am (WAS) a Priority Club member, not a homeless person for crying out loud! So, I then cancelled my 3 night reservation and found a nicer hotel who did exactly that, they held my reservation without charging my debit card! I hope the franchise owner reads this-your staff needs to learn what customer service is about! Corporate will also hear about this terrible experience as will my friends and relatives.

WARNING: BEDBUGS BED BUGS I stayed in room 104. In the morning when I turned on the lights I saw a bug crawling on my sheets. I took pictures and captured the bug in a coffee cup, then gave it to front desk. I went back and removed sheets and found lots of the same bugs huddled in the corners of the mattress. There were black blood dots all over the mattress. I took lots of pictures. The staff debated with me if it was a bedbug. No member of staff seemed least bit concerned. I never received an apology from any member of the staff. Before getting home I took my bug and pictures to a professional because I had anxiety that I might bring them to my house. It was a confirmed bedbug. I still have not received the call promised by the general manager to tell me if their “professional” decided what the bug was. KEY POINTS: They have bedbugs. They put me in room with these bugs even though they KNEW they had a problem. They NEVER once even came close to apologizing for ruining my stay and majorly disrupting the next couple days of my life. They never called me to tell me what their "professionals" decided about the bugs. You decide if you want to stay here.

The visit with my my family was excellent. They gave us everything we needed every time we asked for it. Service with a smile from everyone on staff. The roon was very clean and very comfortable.
