We did NOT stay! It had been a 95 degree day. We arrived late that night and when we went to the room the air conditioner was NOT working. We wanted a different room. The ONLY fix offered to my husband was they would send a repairman even tho they had a lot of other rooms empty. We did NOT want to wait an hour for the room to cool down. It was by then midnight. We left and were forced to find another hotel late at night! Will NEVER book at another Motel 6 EVER!

The motel was nice on the outside and the check in process was easy and the staff was accommodating, but the room was dated and the bathroom was very dirty. The price is right if you don’t mind the lower quality of the room. Perfect and accommodating for dogs.

I was very comfortable and the bedding was very comfortable and clean and the staff was very nice and polite! I definitely enjoyed my stay at Motel 6!

It's a great place to stay with your family of dogs they are very pet friendly the staff is friendly you have good clean up-to-date beds to sleep on you can watch TV if you want but the main reason we gave it a five-star and loved it so much as it was so close to all the other entertainment that's in Newport News Virginia on top of the very nice staff.

After a difficult day of travel including traffic delays we arrived at Motel 6, where we found the ice machine not functioning. We drove to a local 7-11 to buy ice, when it should have been provided. After moving into our assigned room we discovered the front window was completely shattered and had been boarded up on one side, with gaps for bugs to come in and the danger of falling glass. The tub grout has black mold. The microwave has no turn table in it, so it burned a personal item. The sink fawcett sprays water all over when you turn it on. The only items that truly functioned well were the AC and the TV.

We had reservation for 8 nights, I couldn’t sleep the first night, couldn’t wait till morning to check out after seeing a roach, everything in the room was sooo filthy.

Needs some serious maintenance and updating. Bed was clean, bath mat had a big black shoeprint on it. Acceptable accommodations but not highly recommended. We use motel 6 sometimes because they are affordable and pet friendly. This one was on the lower end of the chain's quality scale.

I was in Room 100. The television stations were constantly interrupted, freezing or stopping completely, 90 percent of the channels which I realize are in the reviews for this location and still hasn't been addressed. The room smelled horrible, air should've been on fan level to at least keep a constant airflow being that it is a smoking room. Other than that it was a decent room just could've been much more enjoyable if the TV was functional.

Female staff not so friendly except beautiful African American housekeeper, she was exceptional that's why I give 3 stars only for her.

Stayed for like 2months always had me feel like I was important And they were glad to help.

I was threatened with bodily harm by a staff member. This is a felony. i didnt get any sleep and its not fair I was not given a refund. I would steer clear of this place if you want to get any sleep. Extra attention to customers needs could have improved this experience to a four star level. There were a few fleas in my bed… I guess some vaccuuming and some plastic on the mattresses could fix that as well there was raw sewage in the washing machine caused me a lot of grief and I couldnt go to work the next day as I had to deal with the sewage covered laundry. When I went to get change for the washing machine the front desk person refused. Really? you cant provide change for the guests? the washing machines smelled like sewage.

Dirty. Loud fridge, wood floors looked like they were put in horribley, joke in wall, cigarette burn marks on the bead spread literally were holes in them. Bathroom tub was dirty.

The tub was taped to keep the long cream from leaking. The floor of the tub actually dipped and moved when you did. The floor and bed were clean. The table tops needed a lot to be desired. The sink was obviously new. BUT the bathroom needed help. We had to unplug the fridge due to the horrible noises it made. The fire alarm kept beeping. We had to take it down and turn it off.

This place is horrible will never stay here again. We couldn't open the door, the room smelt like cigarettes, the blankets had cigarette burns in them and there was roaches In the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. Plus the neighborhood was bad.

Hotel was almost completely vacant. However, my first room assigned was in the back far corner. Very difficult to open door. Door looked like it had been broken into. Smoke detector was missing and wires hanging out of wall. General appearance very poor. Room smelled like urine. Was moved to different room that was in much better condition closer to the office. Room was ok, but shower nozzle sprayed water onto wooden floor. Notified front office. Would not stay here again.

Not a bad motel 6. Just need a alittle repair work done in the rooms. We had a few big open holes in the walls and the dresser was coming apart on the top. Also the TV will turn off after it has been on awhile even if the timer was turned off.

This hotel was one of the greatest I've stayed at. Very quite and very clean rooms. Kitty at front desk was very helpful and friendly and made my stay a great one. We had a great week at Motel 6 NN, Clean linen and towels daily. Friendly staff 24 hour's a day. Laundry available. Walking distance to oyster point for Friday night live music June — August. Very convenient to 64 They will be there with the light on!

Management was really nice. But the hotel could use some TLC. In the bathroom there was a hole in the wall where the shower head was attached and someone had just shoved some tissue in it. There was a huge crack in the door frame near the bottom of the floor where the wall met the door. A non smoking room but had cigarette burns all over everything. The room smelt awful I don't even know what it was. The tub was dirty and the lamp shades were cracked like someone hit them. There were a lot of rude loud people living there and I mean living there. I will not stay here again, was definitely not worth the money I spent on it. The room pictures were not what I saw when I got there or I would've went somewhere else. Also the lock on the hotel door kept sticking and I had to kick the door just to get in it.

Appreciated the mini fridge/freezer & microwave. Rooms are clean. A bit heavy on the air freshener, but much better overall than I anticipated. The beds weren't too hard or too soft. Overall a comfortable room for our stay.

How should I start… 1st o would like to thank motel 6 the company in general because I've been getting rooms for 3 weeks now! But this location I think I finally met my match but I will also admit that the maintenance man did all he could. 1st the lights didn't work in the room and still doesn't, the fridge didn't work, been replaced. No microwave getting it tomorrow. A fist fight took place in the room with the wall, big whole. Main comforter has 4 burns from cigarettes, the bathroom wall has been aten up by a dog. The tub has duck tape inside to cover a whole. There's a big whole around wear the shower head is as if it's been replaced but never sealed back closed. And let me think I think that's it. I can't switch rooms because they want more money. I can't get a refund because they would keep 1 night. So what do I do pray and ask God to keep me safe. That's about it.

The owner is raciest and treat black females as if they come to the hotel just to prostitute, they change prices without notice and put colored (Black) and white people in the worst rooms. If you are Indian or Chinese decent at least you will know that you will have a working (Air/Heat unit) Otherwise you will be dealing with dresser doors hanging off, matted carpet, they don't fully change all your linen daily when you stay more than one night. I will blame management. This use to be my go to spot when I just wanted to get away from everyone. Fridge, Microwave, Flat-screen Tv; sounds nice right? That's what I though. Don't waist your money, unless you are damn near homeless and have no other choice.

Was the worst stay ever! The management there was very unprofessional when it came to the matter of trying to find a resolve in the bed bugs incident I occurred while staying there. I advise all to not spend your money there. I was left with a broken out bed bug bitten back and no resolve for the incident. The worst.

A little secluded and in a somewhat sketch location. Rooms are decent as to what you'd expect from a Motel 6. If you've never been to one it's about like any other motel.

TERRIBLE! My recent stay at Motel 6 was less than pleasant to say the least. Upon first entering the room I immediately noticed the pungent smell of cigarette smoke. I contacted the front desk and asked to be switched to another room. The attendant informed me that I was in a non smoking room, and all the motel had available was one vacant room. That room happened to be a smoking room. The attendant then recommended air freshener. I was not amused. While smoke can be unpleasant to some non smokers, to a non smoking asthmatic, the smell is repulsive. So much so that I was forced to leave Motel 6 in the morning and get a room at another establishment, although I paid more money, fresh air, sheets, and blankets were definitely worth it. The manager at the Motel 6 was unmoved by my complaints, nor was he motivated to offer any apology, discount or show some effort of caring. At the least He could have attempted to have the smokey blankets switched out. I didn't even get a simple, I apologize for the inconvenience. Never again will I patron Motel 6

Beware they have bed bugs. I stayed in room 311, woke up with rashes and bites all over my body, tried to speak to the manager and was tols he would be there the next day at 10am, he did not show up. They said the same thing about him showing up the day after that, never got the chance to talk to him face to face. They bullsh*ted their way out of allowing me to file the injury report rhat is requiered by law, in order to stall while they covered up the incident. I had to go through corperate in order for them to obligate him to file the injury report for the lawsuit that I WILL be filling against them. I would not reccoment staying st this motel to my worst enemy. Dirty towels, NO shampoo, and minifridge that did not properly cool, so my food spoiled. They ruined my vacation by having to spend an entire day at the emergency room trying to cure my infected wounds. The gm is one of the worst customer relations person I have ever spoken to. His name is Patel.

Pets stay free… Always rooms available cheap decent place. Although alot of drug activities at some.

I enjoy my stay while attending the dog show. The desk gave me a room at the end of the motel that was just right for me and my dog. Easy to get to a safe area to walk my dog, quiet, and easy parking. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked. I will stay there again when I am in the area.

Just Stayed here … Yes I know check out is 11 woke up a little late and I was getting my things ready when a lady opend my door without knocking first and the room had bugs.

It was big nasty bugs, not regular roaches. They need to spray and handle that… I will not be coming back!

Stayed in a room at motel 6 Newport News worst night ever. The people in the room next to mine kept screaming about a deity all night. The sink had no water pressure and that was the coldest shower of my life. Never staying there again.

I am very upset, first thing first 2 dogs got left in the room for 30-45 mins, and they were 4 month old puppies, they started chewing on things, well my cousin was staying there and locked his key in the room, the room was in my name, the lady at the front desk refuse to let my cousin get the puppies out the room, when I checked in and gave the front desk my info and told them I was not the one staying he never mention to me that I had to put my cousin on the list, so the puppies caused damage, the manager tried to black ball me from renting rooms after I talk to him 4 hrs after I checked out and told him I was coming back to discuss the matter, this is the 2nd time I had a issue with this hotel, I refuse to ever stay there again, they have professional employees who pose to do their job, the damages could have been avoided if they would have done they job. I promise im going to let every other truck driver know who comes to newport news va do not stay at motel 6 in newport news. The nerve of this guy, try to black ball me, for a situation that could have been completely avoided.

Not a bad place, but dook lock has not worked right for 2 days. Tell front desk every morning then get back after working 10 hours and back to the office to get them to make a new key to try to get in. Good chance I will not be staying the rest of my week's stay.

Worst hotel ever. Dirty, prostitution, drug dealing. You name it, it goes on here. Complained to the staff but they did not care.

There was black mold under the bathroom sink and under the toilet and around the tub. The microwave was burnt and smelled bad like something caught fire in it and not cleaned. The floor was disgustingly dirty. They only had 2 towels and 4 very flat pillows for 4 people and when I went to them they didnt have anymore. I was 14 hours away from home and was suppose to stay for a week, there was no other place to go so I stayed 1 night and when I complained to the manager he just said oh really? and I have lung issues so staying there im sure cause me to have more breathing issues. I like he didnt know and said he would give my money back but it would cost me for the one night so he charged me 90 dollars for one night that is insane.

While 4 stars may be generous, I did enjoy my stay here. I do have a couple of complaints. For starters it was advertised to have a pool, but the staff informed us that the pool has been inoperable for 3 years. Second, I could not get a hot shower. I got up at 5am every morning so I know that the hot water wasn't just gone. The cold shower of course was the big deal for me. Aside from this, the room was clean and room service did a wonderful job of keeping it that way through the duration of my stay. The location is fantastic and for the price, I think it is well worth it (aside from the shower).

Bad bad bad. The microwave is burnt. Under the sink theres a black mold hole. And the microwave smells bad.

This hotel is horrible the room was okay but the ac didn't work called for maintenance twice the first guy was high as a kit and smelled like weed he looked at it and said yes it's on I will call the boss. 2 hours later I called again but of course Noone showed up. If you wanted to take a bath you had to let the water run for an hour just to cover the bottom on the tub and the shower didn't work at all. The TV had so much static that it didn't even pay to watch it. So don't waste your money.

Most awful place I have ever been too. I checked out right after checking inn. OMG do not stay here.

I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room, that they had a king-sized bed, the area was safe, and the staff was friendly. I have two dogs and am on a budget, so I appreciate budget hotels that are clean and safe. I would definitely stay at this Motel 6 again. I do wish that all Motel 6s were equally clean, friendly, and safe, but my experience has varied widely.

This motel is just fine and the people are very friendly. Entire town of Newport News is a little dirty and a little hoodish. This area isn't that bad. I think most of these bad reviewsare frightened outsiders who have no hood experience at all can't tell the difference between a drug deal and two friends greeting each other on the street.

Received a free voucher from motel6 in fayettevill nc for a bad stay. Used my voucher here actually tonight. Asked for room on front but desk clerk said she wanted to put me in a room tht had been completely renovated. Yes! Worth the free voucher! Smells good. New floor. Clean carpet. Quiet area. And clerk was very nice. Maybe motel 6 still had my business.

This place is cheap but it isn't even worth the $40. This place is outdated, dirty and it feels unsafe. The a/c is so dirty that I wouldn't dare turn it on. The chair and rug appear to have blood stains. It a actually looks like it could have been a crime scene at one time. The shower has mold, the sink is cracked and the bathroom floor nearly sinks when u enter. However the TV worked and the front desk got me checked in pretty quick. I guess I got what I paid for.

These froms are cheap but they fucken stink. A. C. Doesnot work. Housekeepers are ghetto with blue yellow and red hair! They need to remodel. They don't wash the top cover smdh. If you wanna be hot and save money go here if not run.
