Good location, generally nice accommodations, and a nice food menu. However, a few things happened during our stay that I couldn't overlook… I took students to a conference and this was one of the hotels listed near the convention center. I needed to pay for a few of the students' lodging and be reimbursed, but other students had enough savings to pay out of pocket and do their own reimbursements. I signed an authorization form that showed the names of the 3 students I would pay for upon check out. When I returned back to work, I saw that the hotel had charged me for all 8 students' lodging costs! It was a very large amount that I did not authorize. One of our students also had bedbugs in her room and ended up with bites. The hotel did pay for the cost of a new suitcase and washed her clothes. However, they ended up putting the washed clothes back in the room with the bedbugs! The student also said the washed laundry smelled like it had not been washed, but we can't know for sure. The bathroom in my hotel room also had a funny smell like old water. The printer in the lobby was broken. My colleague was using it and realized that the same person had been signed in for hours. She let the staff know, and we are wondering if someone got charged for all of that computer use time. One last thing… there are lights around the bathroom mirrors that make your eyes look like they have square pupils. Creeeeepy. The front desk staff was quite nice, though. They were helpful and accommodating. So I will give an extra star for the nice people who work at the front desk and lobby.
