Horrible hotel. Took three times checking in to get my room right, no AC and no TV, because it’s raining outside. 🙄

Terrible experience. Was charged twice for the disappointing room we stayed in, and have yet to be reimbursed for one of the incorrect charges. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Staff is very polite and helpful. I always stay at a Hilton Garden Inn when possible.

Numerous floors, everything was shut down for covid.

Added multiple extra charges to our room, valet parking was advertised as $30 no where or at anytime did anyone say it was $30/day and you could get you car out as you wanted
The lobby was in the process of reconstruction and was a mess, the fire place was on child’s level and super hot and had no warning as DO NOT TOUCH, luckily I touched it before our little could.
Over all wish it would have been nicer and had been told about valet parking.

Stayed overnight for the Packers Vs. ViQueens game. Staff was very hospitable and room was quiet and nice. I will stay again next time I'm in the area!

The staff at this hotel go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. They are very friendly and helpful. We were here with several other volleyball teams for a tournament at the convention center. To make our stay better they asked their kitchen staff to come in two hours earlier than planned for the weekend schedule so that the families and girls could eat before they had to meet at 0700. Exceptional Service❣️

Well done hotel. Always reasonably priced IME. As a Lifetime Diamond, I have always received an upgrade when asked. I will continue to patronize this hotel for my trips to MSP.

In town for a concert — great location walking distance from restaurants and concert venue. Door didn't seal properly to our room, creating a vacuum like sound that was constant, but otherwise a great experience. Friendly staff, efficient valet parking, clean and comfortable rooms.

Great location and prices. Beautifully updated accommodations! Very clean! Friendly staff all over, especially front desk, valet and bartender. We will stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful hotel! Close to everything downtown Minneapolis, walking distance. Staff is also very friendly and helpful helping you get around and recommending places to try. It was also surprisingly quiet given its location. The only downside was the 'valet only' parking, kinda spendy. But given I prefer to walk my way around downtown it wasn't a problem parking a block away in a ramp recommended by the valet gentleman.

I paid more to stay at this hotel than I would have elsewhere because of their pool and because they advertise themselves as "family friendly" After a day of traveling in the car with a toddler, we were excited to have several hours to spend in the pool. Several unwelcome surprises awaited us at check-in, though. First, there is no on-site parking. With a toddler and luggage, this is a huge problem. Valet is available, for $30, which didn't feel like much of a choice. No one offered to help with my bags at the valet or even get a luggage cart for me. There was a $50 incidentals charge was required at check-in. After we got all suited up for the pool, we find that it was closed with no forecast for reopening. My toddler was not pleased and neither was I. This hotel advertises that it is family friendly, not same the pool, there is absolutely nothing for kids here. We received vouchers for free breakfast and a handwritten note apologizing for the pool closure, which I appreciated. But in the morning, the kitchen messed up our order, which my child then couldn't eat for to a food allergy. So the free breakfast felt like a loss, and with a plane to catch, I couldn't stick around for a Mulligan. I will definitely have heightened awareness in the future of parking arrangements and won't put any eggs in the basket of relying on a pool for entertainment.

My husband and I stayed in the king bed standard room. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. We paid about $7 extra for our reservation to include a free hot breakfast buffet valued at roughly $31. The only thing I didn't realize is that it was valet parking only which was another $28 so we ended up parking in a garage about a block away and walking back to the hotel. That cost $15 and was a better deal for us. Overall our stay was pleasant and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If the need arises, we would definitely stay there again.

Had a pleasant stay during a conference trip! The staff members were SO friendly and willing to help! I arrived there three hours before my check-in time and they got me settled in a room within an hour. It was so nice of them. I was exhausted and weighed down by my luggage. When I finally settled in the room, I was trying to turn off the a/c but not sure how to adjust room temperature. I called and the mechanic stopped by in 10 minutes to help me fix the thermometer. The front desk lady even gave me a call later to check on me. The room was clean, spacious, and tidy. Best of all my Hilton Garden Inn experiences!

Clean, comfortable room and extremely helpful staff. Only complaint was the valet parking at $28 — — was told that was the only way to park at the hotel; public parking was a block away. Watermelon water in the lobby was a very nice touch for an extremely hot weekend.

Was very acceptable. Clean when I arrived, staff was friendly, placed me in a room right away. It is a little far from good restaurants, but it was great walking weather, or an easy Uber/Lyft. My only complaint is I had put the "do not disturb" sign out while I was doing office work in the morning, and they did not come back to clean the room. I was only there 2 nights and knew that if I had called down someone would've come up, but a courtesy call asking if I wanted it cleaned would have been nice.

Overall good hotel, but breakfast is bad and expensive, and the sheet on my bed had presumably a menstruation stain or some such blood on it… probably was easy to miss so not too upset about it but still. Would probably try a different hotel but if not available would come back.

Room was nice and clean. Hallways look like they are having some work done, because the wallpaper looks like it's torn off the wall. But overall, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room was in great shape. Beds are also comfortable. I would stay here again.

Spent the week for a conference here and found the staff (from front desk to the housekeepers) as very helpful and friendly… My room was well appointed and comfortable. The concierge floor (25) was great for breakfast and having more private meetings or just getting a breather… Location is central and convenient to airport ($23 by uberx) within a 2-3 minute walk from all the good restaurants and bars… PS. Food inside the hotel was also excellent (lunch). Our 23rd floor hospitality suite was outstanding for our after dinner party which was a big hit with our customers…

Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent breakfast, good location.

The service for the event seemed slow and unorganized. It was understaffed, food was lacking and slow to replenish when the food, drinks, utensils ran out. I walked into the restroom and the doors for each stall were either completely broken or they don't close properly.

Nice rooms and good breakfast selection. My only complaint is that I like firm pillows to sleep with and the pillows weren’t firm enough but I did sleep well. Beautiful location and great staff!

Clean comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff and walking distance to tons of great food. The downstairs restaurant is good for a drink in a pinch but look elsewhere for a full meal.

We had a nice stay about 2 months ago. One reason I had picked the Hilton Garden Inn was due to the fact that they had valet parking available and parking on the premises. But when we arrived there was none available. Also the fact that they had shuttle service but we asked the frontdesk to let the shuttle Personnel know we wanted to be on a certain shuttle they didn't inform them. I talked to the shuttle personnel and they went out of their way and made an extra trip just for us. The driver was very nice we talked the whole way really appreciated that. Great room very spacious but it was extremely noisy due to the outside traffic which would be expected.

I received raw turkey burger at dinner. They remade it with no discount offered. Called for valet service early so I could leave right after check out. No answer so went to the front desk to checkout. Hoping to ask for my car and check while I waited for it. The front desk person had to leave to chase down the Valet driver who was on his phone. Walk around the hotel. That took 10mins. For that after trying call earlier. Told the front desk about my meal. I was told he would tell the manager. That was it. Then another costumer was waiting at the she asked if I'd been help. I told her I was waiting to get my car. She had paid for breakfast with her room there was no breakfast received. They told her the cook did not show up. I asked if they were going to take charge off her bill. She said they said nothing about giving her a refund. I in hospitality for years and work school food program. I have had better service at what one would consider Low vendors. Hotels and food service.

Nice room, comfortable bed, packed hotel so not ideal when trying to use the restaurant or hang out at the hotel. We did have great shuttle/ town car service when needed which was at least twice a day. Very close to convention center. Do wish they came to the airport instead of taking a train to get to the hotel. Otherwise nice stay and would come back.

The staff was great. We arrived on Christmas and the staff that was there and the days after were quick to attend to our needs.

Nice clean rooms but parking was too expensive so we had to park 3 blocks away to get there and back. The breakfast was not inclusive and over priced. The snack pantry didn't have any prices labeled on them and were very over priced when we found out. The complimentary coffee and hot chocolate was out and not restocked the whole stay there. No hot tub and should have been for the price and for being a Hilton and downtown Minneapolis with a small pool but no Jacuzzi which was a huge bummer. It was nice but sure we could have found better with better accommodations like breakfast and a hot tub or vending machines.

Was in town for a work event at the convention center and this hotel could not have been more perfect for that. I was easily able to walk to the event during multiple sessions and it was close enough where I could return for even just a brief stay. It is also within easy walking distance to some downtown favorites. While it may be a little far for some, I was able to walk to Mill Ruins Park and had a great walk. There wasn't much special about the rooms — which I am sure you will read in other reviews, but the room I was in was very comfortable and it was very clean. No issues what so ever during this stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful with the small number of things I asked for.

In town to visit old friends and tour US Bank Stadium and catch a Vikings game. Very nice stay. Downtown is very walkable, so you really don't miss your cat being valet parked. If you do need it, 10 minutes and it's out front waiting. Very nice staff.

There are so many great things to say. Super clean, decent coffee, comfortable room, etc. But the staff… They were amazing. So much so that they actually ADDED to my experience. First, they all come off as genuinely happy and friendly. Next, I catch them all in a team building exercise, playing a pick up game of soccer in the parking lot across the street. From the General Manager in a shirt and tie on down the line, they were having a blast. It made sense to me and it made my day. I will stay here from now on.

This is my 3rd visit. I have always found my room clean, and the staff friendly. Tonight we ate dinner here and it was really good!

Very nice suite. If you like being downtown, it's a great location. Beware of the valet-only parking at $28.00! I hate being blindsided by extra fees so I took a star off for that!

Great staff and service, amazing location and the facility was top notch. Was in town for NHC and they took amazing care of us. Lauren and Will and the whole team went above and beyond, even offering staff recommendations and letting our group take over the lobby area for a couple of hours. We will be back!

Great hotel! Very friendly staff that will bend over backwards to help you! Some of their staff even know about the Minneapolis craft beer scene! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great place to rest after a long day at the conference center… Hope to stay here again!

They have the greatest incentive that I have ever seen at a hotel. In the morning they will allow you to call a number and deny room service in return for rewards points. Every hotel should offer this service. It is absolute genius. I highly recommend staying here.

Very nice staff made sure we were happy. Had lunch for a meeting at the hotel catered by the kitchen and I was really impressed three types of sandwiches. Chips and desert. Sandwiches were very good big no one left hungry. Weekend breakfast buffet was good eggs and omlits made to order room was nice comfortable bed.

Rooms were great, Wi-Fi fast and front desk people nice. But be very careful ordering room service — 20% service charge plus $2.50 delivery fee plus $2.50 tray fee. $20 order had $11 service charges and tax then you still have to tip the staff on top of it.

Stayed here while attending a conference at the convention center. Although it wasn't the "conference hotel", I think it might be the closest hotel to the convention center. The rooms and lobby were very nice and clean. The bar/restaurant was good with very friendly bartender and staff. Not too much directly around the hotel, but restaurants and stores were only a couple blocks away. With the weather being relatively nice, there was no issue walking to these places.

Great staff great location, they take care of anything that you need I parked in the free parking area with meters and I forgot to put money in there and they actually went ahead and put money in there for me!

The room was clean and had a number of very useful amenities, including a fridge, a microwave oven, and a coffee maker. My only gripe is that the parking was valet only, and rather expensive. However, the staff members were really friendly and quite helpful.

The stay was fine. I stayed on the 8th floor. The neighbors were loud and kept me up. The room was clean. Please be aware that the breakfast is not complimentary.

Service was excellent. The overnight valet was very personable, and we struck up a conversation about engineering (of all things). Joe, the overnight desk/cleaning was also very helpful and professional.

Treated very well by a great staff, incredibly comfortable rooms, what more cab you ask for? Good location relative to 35W and not very far from the airport. Worth the stay!

This is an awesome hotel. Nice clean rooms, good food and great people. Jensen is an outstanding waitress there.

Our room was very very clean. It was nice. Our view wasn't spectacular but it wasn't a view of the parking lot either. The room was set up very nice, the bed was very comfortable. They set us up with a play pen for my daughter to sleep in. Although the pool was very small, it had a pool which isn't that easy to find in downtown minneapolis. The location of this place was AMAZING though. It was 14 minutes from basically every place we had on our list to visit for the weekend, including MOA. The best thing about this hotel, though, wasn't the ammenities, or the toiletries, or the fact that it was close to everything we wanted to see on our trip. The highlight of my family's stay at this hotel was the front desk guy. Cameron? I believe his name was. He was by far the friendliest of any front desk clerk I have ever met. My partner and I both had the idea that after we stayed and they wished us happy travels back home that we would write a review about him. Hopefully his manager sees this, because this guy deserves a raise. Even though we stayed there the weekend of christmas, Cameron was spending his Christmas weekend working and was still full of cheer and smiles. This is what the service industry is about. Someday when I open my own business, I'll be hiring people who have the same kind of attitude and charisma that he carries himself with. Kudos to you, man. I hope your boss is paying you well :-)

Pros: updated and fresh looking inside and out, location is walking distance to most everything downtown, price is very low for where you are located (I was surprised at how low), staff is super friendly and helpful, well managed location Cons: parking, you can have valet for 25 a day (unlimited in and out) or self park across the street behind a church for 6 bucks a day. Not the longest walk in the world but you do have to go around the church. Not fun when it's — 10 out. Lastly breakfast is 14 bucks per person. Seems steep for what you get. All in all solid choice. I haven't stayed there but there is another hilton right down the road or a double tree by hilton that will both get you about 2 blocks closed to everything. But I cannot speak for the quality of those 2 places. This place is solid.

Very nice, modern hotel that is very conveinent to the convention center. Price very reasonably for a major city downtown hotel. Parking is basically valet only, so unfortunately there is a fairly steep charge for that per day. Staff was very attentive and were very good at acknowledging guests as they walked by.

Staff was friendly. No mountain dew : (. Parking is by vallet. Rooms were clean, bed was firm. Breakfast was decent. Be sure you have great directions, the turn in/ road is very easy to miss where you are pulling in.

Called down for dessert at 10:15 to the response "Kitchen is closed, bye. ". I'm fine that the kitchen was closed, though it was open later the night before when I got service seems seems odd to me. The dismissive, bordering on annoyed voice that I even called and to be immediately hung up on was entirely unacceptable. If guests and their requests are such a big inconvenience please do not work in the hospitality industry. I have encouraged my company to avoid this location in the future.

We checked in this hotel on 25th of July and checked out on 30th of July. Most of things about this hotel were fine that the hotel room was clean and the clerks were friendly. However, I had a major problem after checking out. What we didn’t know about the Hilton garden inn was that they charged full price for the deposit (for staying 5 days costed us almost 1200 US dollar for the deposit). We found out this when we went to rent a car on Saturday 1st of August. The clerk at the rent car company told us that my credit card was blocked. Then I called the credit card company, I found out that it was blocked because my card got the maximum limit for the week. It was mainly because the Hilton garden Inn charged me three times about 840, 340, and 1174 US dollars. I called the Hilton garden and talked to the manager. I asked the person why they charged me three times. The answer was that they changed me twice 840 and 340 for the deposits, and 1174 for actual bill. I asked why they charged me twice for the deposit but the person didn’t tell me why. The person just told me that they were for deposit which will be returned by Monday or Tuesday. At the end of the conversation, the person told me “have a nice day. ” Therefore, I asked “do you think that I can have a nice day with all the problems? ” The person told me “You can try to make a nice day. ” My friend who was travelling with me also got the same problem that her card was blocked.

Expensive parking, confusing valet and our sink didn't drain but Mike down at the bar was focused, industrious and provided excellent service. Room was big, bed was comfy.

I went to Minneapolis for a conference and my travel planner booked this hotel for me. I looked at the forecast and it called for some serious snow. Luckily when I arrived, there wasn't any snow yet. However when I woke up in the morning and opened the shades, it was a winter wonderland with 68 inches of snow overnight. Great hotel and amenities, the only gripe I had was that it isn't connected to the overhead Skyway. I also didn't have the appropriate snow boots since I live in SF. So I had to slosh in the wet snow until I could get to a building that could access the Skyway.

We loved every second of our quick stay, from the valet, the blue berry pastries, the clean rooms, and an exceptional staff. Good stuff.

I was only there for a very brief stay. However I could really appreciate the cleanliness of my room and the rest of the hotel. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the linnens are fresh and white. I could not complain. The neighbors did make a little noise that went unchecked, but it was New Years Eve. So whatever. It was in a very convenient spot, without the inflated price of most downtown locations. Lacking a bit in parking if you don't want to invest in the valet service.

Valet parking is mandatory unless you want to park in a parking garage 3 blocks away. I definitely prefer to park my own car. There was no continental breakfast which was disappointing. The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks, but a little expensive. The staff and service was great! the room was great. Very clean. I did not particularly like the mattress or pillows but was able to stay pretty comfy.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. We always stay at Hilton's and were impressed by this one. It has a great location and clean. Most of all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden lat week for seven nights and now know why this hotel it ranked number 1 on TripAdvisor. The service is outstanding! They do not have a formal relationship with a massage therapist, but went out of there way to arrange a massage for me. When I returned from the business trip I received an email from the hotel asking me how the massage was and also asking if my granddaughter was born yet. I had mentioned to the people at the front desk that my daughter was past her due date. Not only that, but the staff made me feel welcome the whole time of my visit. Thanks to the entire staff at the Hilton Garden for there extra efforts.

Clean rooms, decent location. The interior decoration is definitely reminiscent of the 70s and the furniture seems like a hodge podge mix, but the service was great.

I love this place, except for the sheets. They create a lot of static for some reason. Stayed here twice and both times had the same problem. If they changed the type of sheets they used I would give them 5 stars. Great food and great staff.
