Cozy and charming lodge. It had one of the best beds we have stayed on this whole 3 week trip. The manager told us the beds were brand new this spring. We appreciated the location and the staff's help for where to eat and things to do. You don't get better than this location in Cody and it was half the price of the big name hotels we looked at!

Had a great time in Cody and it was all possible because we stayed at the Moose Creek! We could walk to everything we wanted to go to except the rodeo but there is a rodeo bus that will take you out there that picks up a block from the hotel! Super fun staff and a great comfy room. Loved Cody and loved the hotel. We will visit again and tell our peeps! We got to see some customers that were not so friendly (because they had a pet and they don't take pets at this hotel) at the property and the staff is great at handling them — way to go guys! We can tell your heart is in it!

Great family friendly place! Very clean. Cute decor. Warm (86°-87°f) clean indoor pool, we watched the owner test the water often through our 10 day stay. Rooms are average in size and comfort. Staff is friendly and helpful with everything! They go above and beyond to be helpful. We will definetly return if we go though Cody again!

It was the only hotel room available in the town. Definitely book ahead if you're planning to stay near Yellowstone. It was more than we wanted to spend but the room was very nice (it was actually a suite) and the beds we're very soft.

Where is the half star option! Ok let’s be honest, it’s Yellowstone. A destination for so many in the summer. This place is terrible motel. We were placed in the renovated 4 plex located across the street. It smelled awful. The sheets and blankets are stale. We actually slept on top of the sheets. The shower was like warm at best and don’t even get me started on the 200$ a night price tag.

Loved staying here! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean (cleanest I have stayed in) and comfortable. No there isn't a lot of bells and whistles… but those run about another $100+ throughout the town that I could see. Side note to help out those coming to the area. Check with the hotel direct — we got a better rate than online.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. I had read the mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect but it was great! The little gal at the front desk was really helpful and sent us to a great dinner at the Proud Cut Saloon. We were tired from our long day driving and had the best night sleep on our trip! When we checked out in the morning the gal working said the beds are new and US made. We need this mattress at home! We will be back!

I recently stayed here with my family. This was by far the most expensive and appalling hotel experience we've ever had. We paid $230 for one room that was filthy and outdated. The advertised Wi-Fi was nonexistent. There is no morning breakfast, only coffee that is obviously and shamelessly watered down. Found a live bug in my bed as I was about to fall asleep! It appears the owner would rather pinch a few pennies instead of pay for pest control. Unfortunately, that is not even the worst of our stay. The next morning before we checked out, we discovered that all our food has spoiled in the mini fridge overnight. We called the staff to come over to help. This old woman came in and began berating my parents saying it is "our responsibility" to ensure the fridge is on the normal setting, and informed us that between guests they turn the fridge to the lowest setting to save money. How cheap! Their negligence to turn the setting back to normal before a guest arrives is their fault. It's "their responsibility" to ensure that their rooms are fully ready for guests prior to their arrival. Our room didn't even have toilet paper in it when we arrived! The icing on the cake was the same old woman saying "goodbye" to my mother as she checked out with a mocking and smug sneer. Clearly these people shouldn't be running a hotel if they don't even know how to act like respectful adults. What a joke. Enjoy your 1 star, Moose Creek Lodge, you earned it! :)

Excellent stay! clean and friendly.

As a guest staying across the courtyard from Benjamin, I can agree with management for asking you and your friends to leave. You were being very loud and I heard the whole thing. It had nothing to do with your color, it was because your were being loud, period. I'm sure they are trying to provide a decent place for their guests to stay and having loud guests ruins the stay for everyone else.

Friends had a room reserved for the horse sale. We stopped in to get a room, there were three of us. My buddies, brothers, went in to inquire about said room and came out with details. I went back in with one of them, and after telling the previous pair they had a room available, they told me they would NOT rent me the room. I’m not white. They said they didn’t want “cowboys causing trouble”. On our way out, they were overly welcoming to a group of four “cowboys” roughly the same age as us, being loud, and from out of state, but they were all white. I’m not saying they didn’t let us stay because of my skin color, but y’all can read the story for yourself. They won’t get my business ever again.

My 2nd visit… just as good as my first. I'm a Diamond member at Best Western and will stay here every time while in Cody. Robyn at the front desk is awesome: she grew up near Cody so she has a lot of good recommendations, good personality, and treated me like a friend. I recall the conversation we had when I travelled thru last year and we picked up right where we left off last time! A hotel that keeps their employees… it makes a difference… so nice to see a familiar face after several days on The road. The hotel itself is newer, is right in downtown, within easy walking to great restaurants, shopping, and historic Buffalo Bill Hotel. The place is undervalued and frankly a bargain. Thank you and look forward to next time.

We had a room on the ground floor, backwards, towards Rocky-Mountain Mojoes!
The room was small and musty, the air conditioning rattled that was not to think of sleep and after using the shower you could not go to the toilet anymore because the whole bathroom was under water!

Second time in 4 days that I have stayed here while traveling around the area. Very clean, good price, comfortable beds, walking distance to downtown, friendly staff. Robyn went out of her way to be helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable. Perfectly located in the middle of historic Cody, walking distance to nice bars, restaurants, and shopping. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, they gave us plenty of ideas on what to do and see during our visit. I will absolutely stay here again next time I'm in town, and recommend it to any other travelers spending time in Cody.

Avoid this awful place at all costs! Although we had stayed there some years back and found it adequate (2-3 stars), our experience this trip was totally unsatisfactory. We would have checked in had it not been for the purposely rude and belligerent desk clerk= an obnoxious and unpleasant woman who seemed determined to frustrate us. Clearly the motel owners are either unaware of their employee's incompetence or they don't care. Either way they are losing business because of indifferent or non existent supervision of their employees. Find another place to stay.

For the area, this was a nice enough place. It seemed like it was a little old and worn. The biggest detriment to this place is the parking. There just isn't enough. Overflow parking is on the street. If a couple of people are staying there with RVs you might as well forget it. I was happy with how close this was to the downtown area but would probably choose a different place next time.

Good rates, clean basic rooms. Staff can be curt but a good location and place to stay.

Location was nice, right next to down town Cody. Room was okay. Very basic. For some reason you need to be 21 to check in which was very inconvient. And they had a bible verse showing on their welcome sign, which I felt was kinda off putting…

We stayed here on vacation. The rooms were clean. The kids enjoyed the pool. The gentlementire that worked the evening shift was very helpful and gave us alot of great ideas to do on our stay.

Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were nothing fancy but were clean and comfortable. Everything necessary for a quick stay passing through the area.

DO NOT STAY THERE! MANAGER IS VERY RUDE! The room we stayed in smelled very very bad! Do not use the bathroom if something is wrong with your room. They will not refund your money. They hand you a can to cover the smell and tell you to deal with it because you used the bathroom,,, we didn't mess nothing else up. No discount no offer to change room. Not good customer service at all. Even the managers son said the room smelled like old people. Dad!

We stayed at the Moose Creek Lodge for one night. When making the reservation there was no check-in time noted. We ended up having lunch next door so I stopped in to see what time check in was (around 11:30ish). I was trying to ask what time check-in was and was cut off three times by the gal running the front desk. Each time I started to ask my simple question regarding check-in, I was literally yelled at stating that we couldn't check in yet. When I was finally allowed to ask my question, her response was rude, catty, and mean. When my husband went later that afternoon to check-in, he was treated with the same rudeness I was. I'm very unimpressed with their customer service and would never go back based solely on that. The rooms are decently sized. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the cleanliness was sub-par. The pool was small, but enough for my young kids. Cody is a great town and there seem to be a lot of better options for travelers than Moose Creek.

A racist motel I have ever seen before, carried a friend who orders on Holiday Inn and check in there, they are keeping telling me I have 3 people to try to stay in their motel. Actually, I check in regular 2 persons. During they called to check our order on Holiday Inn, which was an unauthorized background check, others group of Asian went to check in there. Then they got conflict, cursed each other! Motel manager flings their clients! Motel even called the cops to come here to protect their own rights! Eventually, they called the cops says we have 6 people wants stay in 2 bed room! Rudeness service I have ever seen. If you are white, they welcome you. Otherwise, especially Asia, please keep away and check the other motels in Cody. You want to disputes with your client lets go ahead and do so, teach me how to stuck 6 persons in a sedan driven from Denver to Cody and stay in your a 2 bed room? Can I pick up my mom's friend come to check in? She stayed with her husband at Holiday inn that register her husband's name, should I really need know her husband's name? You don't even feel you were so rude to check out somebody's background without their agreement? Then, you are kept telling me I had more than what I reservation. Don't be that kind of silly. Bastard. How silly you are! Your manager took my sedan's photo. She knows everything what is this process. You obviously foolish and do nothing of this incident. Horrible experience at the Moose Creek Lodge. My father, my children, and I made a reservation. When arrived on the day that we had planned on. Upon arrival my debit card was declined even though there was more than enough money in the account. My father used his card and it was declined as well. We offered to pay with cash and they wouldn't accept it. I went directly to a neighboring hotel and had no trouble getting my card to run. The next morning I called the Moose Creek Lodge and tried to get it sorted out. The lady told me that I would be charged for a no show fee of $189. Before I could even try to explain or even say more than a few words the lady asked if I had been drinking and said if I come back she would call the police. I went to the lodge and asked for the manager and it turns out that the lady I had spoke to was the owner. She argued with me that their credit card machine is just fine. Then she looked me right in the eyes and told me the bold faced lie that I refused to pay with cash. I told her it was a lie and she called the police on me. I video taped the whole conversation with my phone. At no point was I out of line. My 11 year old son was with me when they called the police. The officers were extremely nice and could tell that the lodge was in the wrong. I'll be here all week and I will now have to waste some of my vacation at the chamber of commerce filing a complaint. Drove 1400 miles to be here and this is how they act. No room and still charged $189.

Incredible customer service! I am traveling with my wife and granddaughter through the Yellowstone and Glacier parks this vacation. I have never experienced better help from the front desk than at the Moose Creek. At check in dinner reservations were happily made for us so that we could make dinner and still get to the rodeo. In the morning they helped us find and excellent place for breakfast and got us all mapped out on our next two days through the park which was spot on! The room was clean and the bed was the best bed of our entire trip with 4 pillows per bed! We needed that great night sleep! Thank you to all the staff there including the owner who is there most of the time and happy to help her staff and her customers. I have to say I haven't seen this good of customer service at the higher end places we have stayed, let alone at a small "mom and pop" hotel like this one. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and family!

My husband and I flew into Cody from Paris, and needless to say, we we're so excited about the outcome we had when staying with Moose Creek Lodge and Suites. We found Moose Creek when searching for Cody Wyoming Hotels, and needless to say, we're happy we found them. Customer service was amazing, and the quality of rooms for the price we paid were outstanding. Further, my husband truly loved the swimming pool as it started raining one day and left us with little to do. If you are looking for a great Cody Wyoming downtown location, look no further than this location. Thanks Moose Creek!

Hey guys, I've been to Cody several times for summer vacations and needless to say, I finally gave Moose Creek Lodge a chance. I am very happy that I did, and I feel that the quality was way above and better than any other Cody Wyoming hotel I have stayed at. Also, their tea bar is great, and staff were wonderful. Heavily recommended!

Excellent service while staying here. Was an easy choice for me and my wife to lodge here while visiting Cody. Will be continuing to stay here on future visits!

My wife and I came from Denver Colorado, with the intent to visit Yellowstone National Park. We decided to give Moose Creek Lodge a try, and needless to say, it was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend their hotel as the rooms we're extremely clean, and the staff was very helpful at showing us things to do in town, and also provided extensive information about Yellowstone National Park. I believe the owners name is Christie, which I had a very pleasant conversation about their experiences as a hotel manager. 100% Recommend this place, don't pass it up.

This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was fine. Got here after driving 8 hours across Wyoming. The lady at the desk was EXTREMELY rude. Was way more concerned about how many people were staying with us (3) than the fact that my room key wouldn't work. The lady insisted that we had pets… Ya we don't travel with our cats, thank you. Went to our wedding… Came home at 10:30pm and were greeted by the nastiest lady and the police because there were too many people needing to use the restroom. We were all quiet and orderly (note that we are all almost 30…) heading to a bar downtown. Got evicted… cops had more important things to do so they left. Wr booked a new room and told the moose creek lodge to keep every penny. Awful people. Do not give them your money or your kindness.

Horrible customer service. I have a group of people that visit Cody & its attractions on a 3 to 4 year reoccurring schedule. I called this establishment and asked about making a reservation for a block of rooms and the 2 individuals on the phone were extremely impolite, obstructive, discourteous, and constantly spoke to each other or interrupted me while I tried to explain the details of my request. Consequently, I explained that I was grossly mistaken in my attempts at making reservations with them. I will not consider this location ever again and I advise others to stay away from a hotel, such as this, that lacks in its customer service principles.

DONT RISK COMING HERE! I have never had such terrible customer service in my life. We pulled up at 6pm finding they had given away our rooms and had no others to offer. When we asked if the knew of any other hotels open she said "call them yourself. " Both ladies at the desk treated everyone in the lobby so terribly. Also we had to park in the street because there is very little parking spaces especially for larger vehicles.

Very nice rooms, they were clean and convertible. There under new management, so the only thing is they to improve on breakfast other then that it we really had a great stay. Staff was very ok, attended to the guest needs.

Where do I start. The price was outrageous and we found a way nicer newer room at the best Western for the a few bucks more! The manager on duty was very rude and unpleasant! Continental breakfast was a joke. Old stale doughnuts. No milk just orange juice. Our room was not cleaned. Poor hotel for the high price we paid.

Our experience at the moose Creek was horrible the staff mainly the manager was the rudest person I've had to deal with. The accommodation's are well below the standard in cody wyoming and the pricing is outrageous you can stay in a 4 star hotel down the road for about 15 dollars more you are also not allowed to have any unregistered guests on the property at all so if your visiting someone definitely do not stay here or they will be asked to leave very rudely.

We stayed here for 2 days and suffered from the parks closure. Strange that the park rangers were paid retroactively but all tourists who came to visit parks just heard the usual "so sorry. Our Hosts were very friendly and the Motel, the Museum and the Restaurants made our visit to cody worth while. good value for Money, breakfast could be better.

I travel to Cody each Spring and Summer for business, and will stay for 2-3 days each week for 3 months. I have been in most all of the hotels in Cody in the past 4 years. Moose Creek is the only one I stay at now. They are the best priced and they have everything you will need. It is very clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was giving me some problems last Spring but that was fixed quickly and I didn't have any other problems with it. The cable worked perfectly, no issues. You do need to ignore the older posts as the issues brought up with those have been taken care of. I highly recommend Moose Creek in your travels through Cody.

This place was Great! Ignore the older reviews/pictures. It is no longer an econo lodge. Rooms were pleasantly clean. Small — but clean. Comfy mattress. Cute decor — looks like a rustic cabin. Our room had been recently remodeled. Staff was pleasant and rates were affordable. Walking distance to several good restaurants, shops, and downtown attractions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family stayed here for a week and enjoyed every part of this! This website needs to be updated as the hotel is no longer and Econo Lodge. The front desk informed us that they have been trying to remedy this with Google for quite sometime. Our rate for our room was great for the Cody area. We found this place to be very clean, comfortable and the staff was great! This location was nice because we could walk to everything we wanted to do! I recommend this place as a great place to stay and would suggest you ignore the previous comments about the Econo Lodge as it is no longer that hotel.

The good: They have a small pool and let us stay in it a little after normal operating hours. Advertised as having cable TV and wireless internet. The bad: NO working cable. NO working internet. Ira and Vicki (co-owners) insulted me with a $10 off discount. Ira said you can "either take it or get out of my hotel". I quickly chose option B and we all stayed at a beautiful cabin outside of town with both internet and cable (and at a cheaper price). STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Cody has many better options.
