Hotel

Rooms are good. Check in to the hotel at the diner across the parking lot. Small TV in my room, no big deal. Not sure how the other rooms are. They changed their name to travel lodge.

The Oak Tree Inn for the most part reserves rooms for employees of the Union Pacific Railroad that are staying overnight and they only have 5 rooms available for the public. You'll find the front desk for the Oak Tree Inn next door at Penny's Diner. I would probably only use them as a last resort.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we ate at Pennts Diner. Food was great (stay away from the cinnamon roll).

The hotel caters to two types of guests. Railroaders from the Union Pacific and BNSF and then commercial guests. The railroaders need darken rooms to rest, so the hotel does a great job with that. The Wi-Fi works well most of the time and there is a decent selection of TV channels to choose from. The free breakfast is offered to commercial guests, but not the railroaders. Although the staff is very helpful, the pillows and beds are inexpensive choices, so they lack comfort to most. The location is good for easy access by car or foot to many eating establishments. Penny's Diner next door is best at night. The "cook" is actually a chef. I'm not sure if there will be changes, since Travelodge took over from the Oak Tree Inn franchise, but overall not a bad place to rest.

Clean room but they made me call a cab when they had two shuttles sitting there available. Bad business decision in my opinion.

I'm not sure why the website says free breakfast because I've never gotten a free breakfast. The pillows need to be replaced. This type of pillow that they've chosen is the worst. I get migraines from them. They are hard and a super cheap brand or something. They are awful. The worst ever.

Only had 1 room available when I arrived. Apparently no night shift housekeepers. No sitting chair or writing desk in room. Have to go to lobby to be able to sit down and watch TV, read, or relax. No desk to write on, or eat meals. Again, have to go to lobby for that. Room also has a VERY OLD, VERY UNSAFE, microwave in it. It is so old, that it has a dial to set tomer. I have made note of this on numerous occasions, only to find the unit gets moved from room to room. Contrary to what others have said, there is no free breakfast either. Lastly, the internet service in the room is horrible, download speed is not fast at all. Wish I had some other place to stay when I come to Cheyenne.

Food fast and good. Price is always reasonable.

They are so gracious and helpful both times we have been there. Love the free breakfast!

Never Again. Completely unimpressed. In my opinion hotel soap always makes my skin dry and tight. They had no lotion in the room, and only had shampoo+conditioner. They did not even offer regular conditioner, and no lotion. Ugh. In the morning when I woke up I wanted some coffee of course. Pulled out the pot and there was still old coffee inside the coffee pot. Disgusting. But all the new coffee was propped right on top of the pot as if they taking care of it. Well I washed it out myself and made some coffee. So then I'm wondering about breakfast. I took a quick stroll through the building to look for some breakfast, and was not able to find one person. Go back to my room to look for any information on the annemites. Nothing. So I call the front desk, ask about some breakfast. She tells me that they do not offer breakfast in the actual building and it's right next door in the Penny's Diner. I said well I mean does that include a free breakfast and she said let me check your room oh you got a discounted rate so you don't get any breakfast. Even on this online add it states FREE BREAKFAST. Are you serious right now I wanted breakfast can't even offer me some toast? By this time I'm Furious. My coffee pot wasn't washed I found empty shampoo bottles underneath my bed. You could say I'm completely concerned about the cleanliness of this building and I just slept here. I open the night stand drawer for the phone book, I had to peel it out of the drawer.

The restaurant staff was horrendous. I have contacted the health department as to the issue of the server keeping the money in her bra. As a restaurant owner in town I will tell everyone of this.

The staff is friendly, so good customer service. The rooms were surprisingly dark and quiet which is always nice at a hotel. In addition the oak tree inn I stayed at had a 24 hour dinner which was awesome.

The first impression is deceptive!
The reception is in the diner next to the motel. The rooms were super clean. Bed very good. All in all, you don't do anything wrong. The breakfast in the morning was also good, is included in the price. Value for money very good! Opposite 5 minutes walk away a mall for shopping or dining. We stayed at the hotel's diner in the evening, and satisfied!

Clean bed. There is no elevator and it was not mentioned ahead of time. I couldn't carry my luggage up the stairs because I have a broken clavicle so I had to ask another guest for help. Also, there was no computer and printer for guests even though there is a room labeled "computer room". I was very disappointed for the price I paid.

Food wasn't bad. A little over cooked. Descent service.

This place was a joke. We stopped in early that day, had reservation. They said to come back later as rooms weren't ready. So I called them around 5pm they still were not ready. Said to come back later. We were there for bowling tournament, we waited till 11pm and go to hotel, still not ready when we got there. All they said was sorry, we are still cleaning rooms. They told me that at 1pm and 5pm. We will NEVER go back there again.

Very nice rooms. Diner next door very nostalgic. Food is good for the price.

The oak tree inn is located by Plato's closet, the room I was in was really nice and spacious, the inn was very clean and has a gym and computer room!

Penny's Diner is choice. Best diner food in town.

Housekeeping was spotty at best, the diner is a joke. The food sucked. Amenities were not what was advertised,

Location is convenient to the highway, the rooms were comfortable and the service satisfactory. Would stay there again.

One of the nicest surprises on a cross country road trip. Very friendly staff, reasonable rates, and it seemed like they actually cared about the motel's upkeep. The diner that's attached to it is good too. Passes the "5 dollar test" for two eggs breakfast with sausage or bacon added in for good measure.

The heater in the room could be updated. It would get cold, then kick on, and get way too warm for comfort. Then kick off, rinse and repeat. However, even with that, it was quiet, and was reasonably priced and equipped. I would stay again.
