Very Wyoming Country. The price was perfect. And the rooms were nice but very country.

Was not made aware that the check in office closed at 11:30 pm local time. So when I arrived at midnight to check in was not able too. Slept in my rental car. When they opened in the morning checked us into a room right away. I needed to have Wi-Fi which I did find, but signal was spotty and could not connect. Maybe a better access point would help. The motel is not 5 star as listed so if you are beat down tired and just need a bed to sleep in this is the place for you.

Perfect price vintage, but clean! Slept good to hell with those other places $90-200 you never use all that extra stuff anyway.

I wouldn't bring my wife here. Mostly clean. Wifi was not good but not terrible. Owners seem hard working.

I was looking for an inexpensive motel in Cheyenne. The owner was so nice and accommodating me to safe room for a gal. I had everything I needed for the night had a good sleep. The rooms were clean. Thank you for being there…

Motel was clean for being so old. Didn't smell weird. Wonderful original feel. Water was instantly hot, and had good water pressure. Beds were clean and comfortable. Couldn't hear the neighbors at all.

Extremely skeezy and disgustingly nasty… There was trash under the beds and behind the stands, brown stinky sticky stuff running down the wall behind the bedside stand and splattered on the boxsprings fitted sheet, a t-shirt left in the dresser, the bathroom window had a towel hanging up to the window because the window wouldn't shut, and worst of all there was a drug baggie and a broken pin to snort with… I was in room I took pictures of the horrible conditions, and when we told the front desk he refunded us all of our money minus $5 and said goodbye bring me my key… The housekeeping is beyond terrible and the front desk staff is rude and unhelpful… I Do Not Recommend Staying at The Sands Motel unless you've had ur tetanus shot…

It's a lovely and quaint motel. It is in a good location. It has refrigerator and microwave. It is a smoking room. It has a shower with no tub. I would recommend if your on budget. The front desk person was helpful and efficient. I would recommend if you don't want all the frills. Thanx for reading my review.

The Wi-Fi was nonexistent in the room. The TV was broken. The room was too hot. There was dust everywhere.

Looked like a decent hotel, my friends said they loved it. When I visited their room it was very clean and laid out well.

Like going to you bad part of town, that has a wanna be a "hotel". Rooms are small. Restroom even smaller. NO bathtub, or a choice. However, they do their best interior area.

Do not trust them with your reservation. I booked my room in advance during a busy weekend in Cheyenne and only a few days before my arrival they canceled my reservation saying that because of a "glitch" in their system my room was rebooked to someone else, of course at a much higher price, leaving me without a room last minute.

Nice Western doors, look like they might be 100+ years old and still in great shape!

Trust me on this one, you are better spending your money elsewhere and I recommend just paying 20 bucks more per night. You will get so much value for your money than this.

Avoid this place at all costs. Very filthy. We made a reservation tonight for one of the 2 bedroom units. Despite the online reservation indicating that the room would overlook the courtyard, none of the 2 bedroom units overlook the courtyard. Rather, all of them are on a separate street where you feel like your car will get broken into. After checking in and paying, we went into our room and were horrified to find piles of nasty chicken bones undernear the bed and near one of the side tables. Evidently, the room had not been cleaned before our stay. After reporing it to the manager, he made some excuses that the 2 bedroom units are usually used by people who stay for extended periods of time and as such it is harder to keep the room clean. I don't buy it. Will not ever be coming back to this place and you should never stay there.

Noisy place due to the super thin walls, and room makers knock your door like bank rubbers in the morning even though you haven't checked out. Not so clean but still OK.

This was a nice little place and great deal for the rates. Management was very friendly and helpful during my stay.

Not the nicest hotel, but not a crack hotel either. We needed a quick place to rest and this did the job. No real complaints, unless you have a hard time sleeping near train tracks. The price was good. 65 bucks for 2 beds. We'll be staying there again if the need ever arises.

Clean and professional, price can't be beat. Great location near interstate for a very quick overnight stop.

The cheapest place to stay in town is cute as a button, obviously run by a loving family.

The Sands does not accept service animals for people with disabilities. I even offered to pay for my dog. Makes you wonder what other federal laws they're breaking…?

I was in Cheyenne on extended business, and stayed at the Sands Motel for four months. I was quite happy with the accomodations, and would certainly stay at the Sands again if visiting Cheyenne. Certainly, the Sands is a budget motel. Some of the furniture and fixtures are aging — — but at the very reasonable low price rate, this is certainly the best budget motel in the area. The most important things to me were that the place is pretty quiet (despite its location on a busy main street), the accomodations were kept very clean, and there are no bugs or insects of any kind. In my long stay, I didn't see any of the problems some other reviewers have noted, and can only say that perhaps if some people are expecting the Ritz for such a cheap price, they have unreasonable expectations in the first place. I found the staff friendly, and would certainly recommend the Sands to anyone looking for a clean, cheap place to stay in Cheyenne.
