Absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Not only was the place dated, dirty and run down the manager was rude and unprofessional. I witnessed her yell at kids and make a scene in the pool over someone’s beer bottle (not mine! ) Then she abruptly closed the pool the following day. We canceled our night before noon and were informed that we would not be charged for it. Two days later I was charged. Now I have a fraudulent charge on my account and they refuse to contact me. This is the most poorly managed hotel I have ever seen.

Had a little issue come up and the general manager Jim and his staff are absolutely fantastic, addressed it right away and made me feel very good about staying here!

Very neat and clean. I was on an end room and really couldn’t hear anybody coming in and out.

Had a great time! pool was great. We loved the breakfast. Staff was friendly check-in was fast. Our rooms are pretty and love the door to go outside in and out from my room. We will definitely be back :-)

Have a great team also breakfast is good clean, game room and pool. Is great.

From first Contact until check out the hotel was staffed with trained efficient individuals that met my needs Beyond expectations. The breakfast was suffice hot edible and served clean. The night staff were helpful in helping us to locate great dinner last night and we appreciated that up until and including this time now the day after.

It's an old place but we've stayed here several years for an annual event and are always pleased. They always give us a room on the ground floor with a door to the garden in the middle of the building. Our 4 year old loves walking around this little courtyard. Friendly staff and easy access from the highway.

Terrible experience! I had a gift certificate that I got directly from Best Western. They wouldn't accept it without a hard copy. I read the fine print to the clerk that explained she just needs the UPC and PIN, but she refused to accept it. I spent an hour in the conference room trying to print it, but they have a computer virus. Now my email is messed up. This whole headache for $10, that they still refused to accept.

Update: I gave another star for excellent customer service and great hot breakfast. The staff here really care, and that shines through. Rooms are OK. I like having a TV, microwave, and mini fridge in the room. Everything is super tiny though. Tiny toilet, tiny bathtub, tiny counter. I feel like a giant.

We stayed at the Bay City Best Western. It's staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean. Full hot breakfast was very good. Hotel could use some renovation but overall nice I would stay here again.

The room is amazing! It's bigger than I was expecting and they have an awesome pool. The only issue I had was when we got our key card. It wasn't reading the card. I took it to the desk and they fixed it right away.

Room & bath were very clean. Pool water was warm and hot tub was great! Complimentary breakfast had more choices than I've seen in any other hotels. Staff were very friendly. I'd stay here again when I'm visiting that area.

Very nice accommodations. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was kind. Breakfast selection was nice. Good restaurants within walking distance. Easy to find while traveling.

I was under impressed with this hotel. The Wi-Fi was out, I called the front desk twice and they kept saying they were fixing it and it would be working soon. It never worked. The vending machines were empty and the soda machine was broken. There is a game room and there was a bunch of people partying in there. That’s fine, but it was supposed to close at midnight and they were still there and rowdy at 1 am. My room was right next to it so I had a hard time sleeping. The only reason I’m giving it 2 Stars is because the complimentary breakfast was impressive but the roof leaked on my head when I was sitting there. (It had been raining) This hotel needs some work. When you pay for a room you expect the amenities to be working, especially the Wi-Fi.

Very upset that I was told one price when I called to reserve the room. But when I got there and checked in it was 20 more. I asked about it n got no where. But yet others said they got there room the exact 2 queen that I got for the cheaper price. I would not recommend this place again!

Good location. There is a family entertainment center right next door and you can get there by walking. It has indoor pool and sauna / jacuzzi a game room and a good complimentary breakfast. Next door has indoor mini golf, bumper cars, bowling, virtual reality, escape rooms, a great arcade and a Lazer maze. Also a full service bar/restaurant.

My wife and I booked a room that was labeled as a “deluxe king room”. When we walked in we were hit immediately with the smell of pot. We walked into our room and saw anything but deluxe. We had a full wall that was all red bricks, reminded me of an alley, speaking of alley we had a great view of something that resembled an alley. All we could see we’re electrical wires and a wall. Probably a space smaller than 6x6. Back to the room, besides our lovely alley wall, we found mold in the bathroom around the tub and in between the tiles. There is a window unit acconditoner in the wall, much like an apartment. The whole room was dimly lit even with every light in the room on. The drop down ceiling had tiles that had obviously been tampered with. My wife and I didn’t even make it a full three hours before we left with pounding headaches and she began to break out in a rash.

We usually visit every year. I have never had a problem and usually have a great stay. However this year the Wi-Fi connection did not work. The hot tub was closed, we had to go to the front desk to get pool towels, and my son received chemical burns on his body from the pool having too much chlorine. I don't think we will be returning next year!

Large clean rooms, with a microwave and refrigerator. Nice large king size bed, firm mattress and an abundant amount of soft fluffy pillows. The pool was very clean, has a sauna and a hot tub. Although I would have liked to see the ability to set a timer on the hot tub. It cycles on it's own and only for a few minutes at a time and only a few jets worked. That was only minor though in my book. They offered adult swim from 10-11. Breakfast was offered until 10am they had biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and sausage links. They had yogurt, and build your own waffle. Well worth the money under 100.00 dollars for a Friday night. The location was perfect, walking distance across from Mongolian BBQ where the food and people were very personable. The Valley Lanes is also walking distance and offers bowling and lots of family entertainment for the entire evening. It's our vacation close to home, we have been here many times.

Staff was very polite and helpful. Pool area was great, breakfast was pretty good. Overall decor is a bit dated but a nice hotel nonetheless. We would stay here again for sure!

Great place to stay, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast! Definitely coming back soon. My sister and I live 3 hours apart and Midland is half way for us, we will make this place the spot to stay from now on. Sorry Holiday Inn.

It didn't look like much from the outside… I was there to work, so it was going to be a good night's sleep. I decided to try the pool. This place was built before everyone got scared! It has a… 9-foot deep (2.75 meters) pool. Seriously! And… a separate 3-foot (1 meter) deep lap pool. And… a hot tub that was so big I could lay down without touching the sides. … Going back for sure!

Excellent stay! Very clean hotel and lobby area. We were in Midland for a convention. Very close to the freeways. Lots of restaurants in the nearby vicinity. Staff were great and breakfast was better than the average hotel continental breakfast. We would definitely recommend it and we would definitely stay there again.

Really amazing hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Rooms are very nice and it's easy to go from floor to floor. Service was great and they really care about their guests. Overall experience was wonderful.

This place could use a face lift, but it's a comfortable place to stay. It's adjacent to a bowling alley, that houses a putt putt golf course as well as a bar, restaurant and arcade! There is also a hibachi grill across the street that is quite good as well. We paid less than $90 on a weekend for a one night stay. It was well worth it. They also offer a complimentary breakfast in the lobby. Vending machines do need to be replaced and restocked, it sucked wanting a snack and I couldn't get one since the machines didn't work. Even if they did, they were pretty empty. We will return for another stay I'm sure.

Staff is friendly, rooms/beds are comfy, free hot breakfast is very good, and price is always good. I stay here when in town to visit family. After playing in the pool and hot tub at the hotel, can walk across parking lot to Valley Lanes entertainment center next door (for bowling, arcade, bumper cars, indoor mini golf, and they have good food).

We had a family group of 75 people, and have been coming here for over 15 years. The banquet room was very adequate and staff was very accommodating to our needs. The kiddie pool was COLD much to the dismay to our little ones and was not fixed when we left, and also the big pool was chilly, which made the whole poo rooml cool. Several couples stayed the night, and staff were very accommodating by putting us close together. The breakfast was very good, kudos to the staff.

Jets weren't working in the hot tub, kiddie pool had no heat, so there was 12 kids running around jumping in and out of the pool and hot tub; we couldn't swim or relax in the tub. Second time we have stayed there and no regular coke in the vending machine. Only had 3 sausages in the breakfast left for me and my husband to eat in the morning & cold unflavorful scrambled eggs (And he is a 6'8 man, that wasn't enough to feed me as a short person.!. He had to have cereal. ) And house keeping was very presistant on knocking on our door at 12 and at 12:05 right after I had told her we was just grabbing our things. So I didn't get to grab my coffee. We came here specifically for a romantic evening out, and although our room was nice, we didn't feel very welcome or valued as a guest.

Good experience. Front desk clerk was courteous and knowledgeable. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable. Right off the freeway, but surrounded by fun places for families to enjoy.

A great place to stay after a long days work. My only complaint is my work has me starting early and breakfast not served until 6, most locations have grab and go bags for us early risers, but none were available this time. The room was clean and comfortable.

Our stay at the BW Valley Plaza Inn was wonderful. Good clean Inn. Breakfast was fantastic and the choices were plenty. The staff went over and above to make sure our stay was comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when in the area…

We were happy with the room except we had a room with an adjoining room. At 2am either kids or adults opened their door and tried to get into our room and they were really loud. Called the front desk and they said they would look into it. Got quiet until 3am when it started all over again. Needless to say not a good nights sleep. The second night was much better.

The hotel rooms are great as expected. There is a porch you can walk around if you live on the ground floor that is peaceful and pleasant to explore in the mornings. The breakfast is great, the staff is great, and there are a wide selection of things to eat.

Rooms are comfortable. Shower runs hot and cold constantly, nothing to stop it. Missing towels and trash can when we got there, they were brought to us as we requested them.

The Best Western is just off of 10. I have never stayed there myself, as I live in Midland but I attended a baby shower there. I was surprised, as usually for events like this the Great Hall is the go-to place and it is right next door. The room for the event was a good, comfortable space and easy to get to from the front of the hotel. The staff that I asked for directions was very accommodating as well.

The people were incredibly nice when I checked in here he left Orlando just before the hurricane supposed to hit and they went out of their ways to answer my questions and help me I appreciate that. Made it here just in time for my best friend's wedding and got to spend the day not so worried about whether or not I was going to have a house when I get back weather here was beautiful a lot cooler than Florida about 55 minutes where I was and the breakfast was incredible the people were nice just what you want when you want to go to hotel and just relax.

Nice hotel especially for kids — two pools — one shallow pool just for young kids. Free breakfast had waffles AND pancakes :) Nice location.

Nice clean hotel in a convenient location in Midland. Definitely an older hotel but seems to have been recently renovated. Clean and quiet even though it was located next to a highway.

So quiet I could not hear the neighbors at all. Beds were extremely comfortable. Pool was so nice. Clean and elegant.

Great room! The inside of the hotel is pretty much all brick, so very unique. Rooms are spacious. I can't comment on the breakfast, as we did not make it in time. Beds were firm and comfy. We had a problem with our TV remote not working, but staff sent someone up immediately and fixed the problem. We will definitely be staying here again! Awesome staff!

Our checkin was nice and easy. Room was spacious and clean. Something that was nice about the room was the sink in and out of the bathroom. Works out great when staying with multiple people. Room service was good although they did not take the tip that we left. All around good stay.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is fantastic. Located 5 miles from Meijer and across the street from the highway.

GREAT free full breakfast for guests, pool area is enjoyable (large pool, small pool and "hot" pool) … game room is not good and doors to rooms need updated.

I loved the friendly man who helped us at such a late hour at the front desk. I also loved the design of the rooms and the building!

I stayed here for an ItWorks OTOM. The staff here were very nice and professional. The hot tub was nice. My children were with me and my little one loved the kiddie pool. The rooms were very clean and the temperature was comfortable.

Ghetto. Hallways with all steel doors and solid brick walls. Safe in the closet, no dvd players or microwaves in the rooms (they always get stolen). The heater worked, but the room was always cold even with it on full non stop. On the plus side, everything was CLEAN, outdated, but clean. I had a room with two queen beds, it was a little a small, but not too bad. There was a balcony, that was nice. Staff was friendly and accomodating. For the price ($90 a night ish) its an average hotel.

Our room was $124.00+. $20.00 extra for pet room. The entire wing of the hotel was cold. Our room was very cold. Floor was freezing to the point had to leave socks and shoes on. I turned on furnace to full heat. It never got above warm. Left it on all night and it only got to 65 degrees. The tub had drainage problems. By the end of my shower, I was standing in 3 inches of water. Will not be returning to this hotel.

Just want to say Jackie is bye far the sweetest lady I've ever met. She definitely is an asset to this hotel. Room was clean, internet worked, and the pool is 9 foot. I will definitely stay here again.

Best western in midland is a really nice place to stay. My favorite part about the stay was the really nice security gaurd.

Room was comfortable, quiet, and cozy. Breakfast was tasty and the stay was enjoyable.

No no no. Just don't. Save yourself. Food in the sheets. Food on the floors. NO shower curtains in multiple rooms. Staff smokes weed in the hallways. Front desk incredibly rude. Went to first room and it was torn apart like housekeeping had left in the middle of cleaning it. When we were moved to the second room it was EXACTLY the same. SO terrible it was actually humorous.

The seeds and ants in my second room were the best part of my stay. So not much good to say. The hotel staff telling us that two queens for a couple was good cause now theres one to "creep in" very unprofessional. Also the half naked man and his wife staying in my room. That I didnt book with may have been a problem. But valley plaza was ok with it and after everything the hotel staff still hasnt worked with me. Very unorganized unclean and unprofessional. By far the worst hotel ive ever been at. Also the Wi-Fi is only free because it doesnt work. I was in 4 different rooms over my one night there and didnt have a signal that was strong enough to open it in any one of them.

Staff was unprofessional and incompetent, especially when our room was double booked and we walked in on another couple. The room we were placed in after was not clean and had ants. Do not stay here.

We just returned from our 30th anniversary trip and stayed here 4 nights. This hotel was OK as the rates were better then other hotels although we have some complaints. The room carpet was badly stained. The hall ways smelled terrible and musty because they don't have any air vents in the ceilings. The hotel maid would take our dirty towels away, but then not replace them with clean ones. Soap, shampoo, kleenex and other things not replaced either, even though we left a decent tip. We went to the front desk for replacements. Breakfast ends at 9:00 a. M. Which ends alot earlier then other hotels. There is only one waffle machine and you have to wait in line. They need to have at least two of them as you spend so much time waiting in line when breakfast then ends at 9:00. On the plus side — — The walk out patio is very nice. Pools and hot tub is nice. Staff is nice. Fridge and microwave is nice to have. Beds are pretty comfortable. Not a bad place to stay though because of the reasonable price!

This place is a joke, employees do drugs while on the clock. Theres arguments between staff members, also had bed bugs and lice in my room.

Just stayed there with the fam the hot tube would work for 1 min and shut off for 5 mins the pool was ice cold the kids would not even go in it because it was to cold the the tube in the room did not work went to the front desk they told me I should have check it when I check in the room at 2 oclock come on now they told me they had multipule complants that my room was dirty now how do they now that if the staff or some one with a key go in my room I checked in with wife and four kids come on the kids took their stuff off and we went to the pool so how did the staff know that if they did not go in my room or do they have camra in the room checked out at noon called back at 1230 to tell them that I left my earrings the told me that the have a wittness that they was not in the room why would they say that mybe because the two people that went in there found them and took them I will never stay if thats the only hotel for 100 miles I will drive the 100 mile to go somewhere else. Used to go there all the time theaiter dont work sice they have new owners it went down the drain.

Just stayed there for my anniversary, the movie theatre was closed down, the place was very cold thru out the whole building not very welcoming. The water and shower in our room was cold and took forever to warm up. I stayed here 10 yrs ago with my kids thats why I came back. The went down hill since then. I will never stay here again.

Awesome place. So much to do for kids and adults alike. Very clean, well maintained, staff was awesome. Only tiny complaint have is that the pool located inside. Of the best western was cry over chlorinated. Not sure about the other pools. Will definitely be back soon with the family and we plan on staying longer since there's so much to do.

The accommodations were very clean. Was here for a graduation party. Staff was very willing to help. Would definitely recommend this is a good place to stay.

To 3 indoor pools, 2 saunas, a fishing pond, cable tv, bowling alley, bar, and movie theatre. My kids absolutely love it and it's a full hook up campground. Also it's located near Great Lake Loons baseball diamond.
