Not kid friendly your kids can’t laugh or play around during the day cause they can get loud. Mine weren’t even loud at all the front desk lied and said they could hear us from the second floor.

Absolute terrible experience. Issues in the pool with other people, front desk clerk looks at me like I’m an idiot. You have a sign in list for the pool for a reason, maybe you should enforce it, so the other people paying to stay there can swim too.

Rachel f. Was the most rude manager of a hotel I have ever encountered. After staying the night there she extended our check out till 1130. She called at 1113 and was abrasive and said check out was at 1100. I reminded her I just called and you said 1130 and she then said she would extend it to noon and hung up on me. I walked down stairs to see if it was a misunderstanding and it obviously wasn't becasue she was very rude to me at the desk and slammed the receipt in front of me and said you can just checkout now. I asked for me managers number and she gave me a corporate number and acted like she was the highest up I could deal with. She for sure should not be in the hospitality industry. We are Gold memeber and frequent holiday inns. And now we're thinking about venturing out.

The rooms were clean and quiet.

Anytime I've stayed here, I am unable to sleep. Beds very uncomfortable, pillows extremely hard, very noisy from road traffic. Every time, I sit awake all night, as I currently am. I recommend Best Western across the street, much nicer place.

Its disgusting how they're treating medical personnel during this time. They're being put in disgusting rooms, get no room service or housekeeping, no breakfast, no access to the pools or facilities, and still have to pay full price for this.
they dont even get clean beds to sleep on while fighting this pandemic on the front lines.

Poor plumbing. Toilet overflowed all the way into our room and soiled some personal belongings. They did move us to a different room, but only gave us a nominal discount for our bad experience.

Absolutely awful. We booked a room due to a sudden death in the family and needed to change the dates as the funeral date had changed to next week and they refused to change the dates. Will NEVER stay here or reccomend to anyone. All my family wanted to do was change the dates. You people have no heart. A terrible business. I will let all family coming from out of town know not to stay here or any holiday inn anywhere.

Not accommodating at all when an oversight was discovered. The hotel put ALL the blame on the customer. Very poor customer service and not willing to work it out.

This is one of the most friendliest HI Expresses that I have ever stayed at. Front desk is always attentive and always acknowledges you. There is a lady that comes around in the evenings to pass out cookies. AWESOME! Super clean. Super friendly. Breakfast is good.

We stayed one night and it was the best! The people were so friendly and loved our room! Got one with a jacuzzi and loved it after a long drive!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. However, staff at counter did not advise us that the door closest to our room was not functioning. This was pretty inconvenient to have to move our luggage twice. Other than that. Everything was perfect.

Hotel was clean and room was nice, my kids loved the pool. I read another review where it stated it was not kid friendly and I am inclined more now to believe it. My 4 year old was doing jumping jacks on the floor and we got a knock from housekeeping that the guests below had complained and my kids can't jump within 10 minutes of entering our room. This conversation was shocking and grossly inappropriate. We travel often as a family and never have we had this experience. We won't be back.

The rooms were nice and clean, except for the roach that was crawling on the wall. We called the front desk and they sent up a woman and argued that they spray every Monday. I guess maybe they skipped a week. We got a new room and enjoyed the rest of our stay. The breakfast bar was better than most.

Decent rooms, but they could use an update. Nice hotel staff. Location is pretty good as well, near some restaurants and a Starbucks.

Staff was very accommodating. This hotel doesn't have a hot tub anymore. It closed over a year ago. I told front desk, because there are still pictures left online that show a hot tub. They do have suite with in room hot tub.

Nice hotel — much higher quality than the ones around it (visited both because some relatives were staying in ones close by). Good breakfast and good rooms. Only thing is the walls seemed to let a lot of noise through. Good thing there were no noisey neighbors.

We had 168 young ladies to attend the TCG Today's Christian Girls conference.
Thank you so much for your compassion, understanding and always going out of your way to help and accommodate us. Trying to contain and keep quiet these young ladies ranging from 8-17 year olds (mostly teanagers) was not an easy task. Lol
Your hospitality and kindness was much needed and greatly appreciated.
We have a great group of Apostolic Godly young ladies trying to live for God. However they were overly excited.
Our theme this year was

I'm not happy with this hotel or the parents of these loud obnoxious group of kids. Its 12:30 a. M. And the kids are running around making tons of noise. The parents have been asked multiple times to quiet the kids down. This is our future a bunch of brats that don't listen. And parents that can't control them.

Stayed for a week when we had a death in the family. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and comfortable.

Changing Review. When I checked in I explained to the desk the room I had booked was under my company (who had an account on file). At the desk they still requested a credit card, but assured me they would not charge it. That it was just for accidentals. I also requested the rewards points be changed to my name. She would not take my account number but said she would look me up in the system later… needless to say the stay was on my personal credit card and the points went to they company account.

Courteous staff. No cot available. Roll out bed alternative. Good breakfast. Sub par bacon. Phenomenal pancake machine.

The pool is nice and the staff is always very friendly. This is a clean hotel in a nice location.

Rita is awesome! She is such a sweetheart that brings cookies and helped me sleep for my entire stay. She is the best!

My experience here could've been better. The pool area was very small, and the people above us were literally running (small children) until after 3 am. I complained to the front desk, and the guy said he'd look into it. They did quiet down after that. We stayed in Lapeer again a few nights later, and I called to see if they would discount a room for us after that experience. They offered us $5 off. We stayed at Best Western instead and enjoyed it much more. The pool area was much larger and they had a hot tub, too! Probably won't stay here again.

Have had to stay here on two occasions for funeral processions and the staff has been more than helpful and understanding of our needs for the dining area. They are always kind and courteous. I would come back a third time hopefully under better circumstances.

Very Clean rooms! Also the pool was perfect temperature. They also had yummie cookies and popcorn for guests in the lobby. The continental breakfast was delicious too!

Room smelled like smoke and the sink did not drain well. Front desk was very nice.

First things first. This is the first Holiday Inn Express where I have received a call prior to checking in to see if I needed something special during my stay. High marks for the personal touch. It took me by surprise and I almost thought it was a prank call! Everything at check in was in order. Room was the usual what I have come to expect. Well appointed. AC was comfortable, though loud and not a big fan of the loud start and stops at night that wake you up. Spacious room with refrigerator and plenty of shelf space, outlets etc. Was given a Wi-Fi password at checkin which I did not use as I used my Priority Club number. Broadband speed was not up to the mark. Took me little over 5 minutes to upload a 1.5MB picture. Unaccetable! Bed was comfortable with generous assortment of pillows of varying firmness. Bathroom was adequate with the necessary accessories. One thing I noticed was the exhaust fan in the bathroom never came on. Perhaps it was broken. Did not matter as I was the only person in the room. They had the usual offerings for breakfast but I am not much of a breakfast person. The seating area for breakfast is rather cramped and could be bigger. Coffee was good. I got to use the 24 hour gym at the hotel. Quite basic with a treadmill, bike and elliptical trainer. But worked for me. I had the place to myself at 9:00 in the evening. Cant compain! They have a pool too. They had small bags of Popcorn on offer in addition to the cookies in the evening!

The room was clean and the location was in central Lapeer which was great for the event that we were going to. The room cleaning was a little slow, which caused done unfortunate timing issues.

This Holiday Inn is a little older than some, but still nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but it's age shows. It's lacking the modern feel of newer hotels, but I wouldn't let that stop me from staying here again. Overall 4 out of 5. Very hospitable staff and the breakfast was delightful.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, although our room smelled fairly smokey. The cookies they had available were delicious.

Great hospitality not very updated for price. Hot tube is filled​ with cement. The bathrooms are not pleasing horrible lighting. The temperature in the room is either too hot or too cold. The only reason I rate it 4 out of 5 stars is because of the great customer service. Too high priced!

The service at this hotel is exception. Staff is cheery and eager to help. I was asked 3x if there was anything they could do to make my stay better. The hotel is undergoing a remodel but they have done a great job sealing off that half of the hotel. No noise or dust interupted our stay. The bed was comfortable. We were even upgraded to a king size bed! The ppol is heated! That made my day. It was so relaxing!

Customer service is exceptional. The hotel called ahead of time to see if there was any way they could make our stay special. The front desk called our room that night to make sure we had everything we needed. When we first arrived, we found our room was right next to the elevator. We didn't want to listen to that all night so we asked to be moved to another available room. The staff was very accommodating and moved us, upgrading us to a king size bed even, for no extra fees. Smiling staff everywhere we went. The hotel is undergoing a remodel. They have put up fake walls to seal off half of the hotel for the project. At first, we didn't even realize the walls were fake because they are painted and trimmed to blend right in. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and peaceful. We were not disturbed by the remodel at all. Very surprising. I've stayed in other hotels where there was a lot of noise and dust. Not here! The pool has been converted to a salt water pool and it is heated. What an awesome experience! I loved it! The hot tub is gone. It has already been removed for the remodel. The rooms have old heater/air units in them with limited controls but they aren't loud and they did cool and heat the room fast when we changed the settings. Breakfast included pancakes, assorted baked breads, hot and cold cereal, omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurts, and much more. Something for everyone for sure.

Stink bugs in our room (3), no indication that hot tub was out of service and people screaming at 5am outside our room. Police were even called. Great breakfast that's about all I can say. We wanted a nice getaway for the weekend but we can't survive another sleepless night. I wouldn't recommend this location at all.

Just going by the Staff alone, I give this location a 5 Star Rating! Each and every visit was made wonderful by the Staff! I called today and was greeted by the lovely Heather; I have called and spoke with her during my many stays, she has been accommodating, warm, welcoming and Professional! Each time I have called to set up a reservation, whomever has answered the phone was Polite, Accommodating and Warm! I travel a great deal with my company, and not every Holiday Inn Express is Staffed with Stellar, Professional people as the Lapeer, Michigan location! Thank you to Heather, Christine, Audrey & Corey The Stellar Staff at the Holiday Inn Express Lapeer, Michigan for making each one of my visits like coming home!

My experience was just fine. I did have a friend stay there at the same time that was given a handicapped room who said the bed was uncomfortable though.

I didn't get the young lady's name at front desk, but she was amazing. Looked like she really enjoyed her job. And interacted with me and my kids. The next morning the older lady that was working the breakfast was super happy and very helpful. When the pancake maker didn't work for ny daughter she was super helpful. Two of the nicest people and super sweet. Made our trip wonderful.

It was a nice place. The hot tub was only warm. Part of the building seemed to still be under construction.

Convenience, friendly staff, I like the pool and the nice breakfast area, shops nearby and much more.

WAY overpriced and poor quality. Staff is sloppy in both appearance and performance. Mediocrity would be an improvement for this disappointing experience.

I got a room at the last minute due to a power outage at my home. I loved it! The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be back. It was clean, and the staff was professional.

Currently under renovation. Overall a decent, clean hotel; however, many other updates should still take place (e. G. Fitness center room/equipment, in-room air/heating, ice machines always out of order). Hopefully this hotel is tending in the right directions, because it's the best option in the area and updates will keep them there. Stayed at this hotel 3 week per year for the last 4 years, for perspective.

I have certainly stayed at nicer Holiday Inn Expresses, they are currently remodeling. Overall, the staff was nice and accommodating, but the rooms could use a desk and the mattress is leaves something to be desired.

The hot tub was filthy. Wouldn't put my dog in it.

Its better than a motel, is family friendly, but not for businessmen/women. Good for about $100 a night for a double queen, clean and quick.

I cancelled my room when they told me I would not be charged. They still billed me and when I called, they would not refund my money. Will never stay here again.

Poor for business travelers. One tiny dinky joke of a table with low, hard, uncomfortable chairs. No desk or other place to do any paperwork, little tables scarcely big enough for a laptop. Didn't help that I checked in on a June day and the AC was off in my room — over 100 degrees, was 11 at night before the wheezy undersized AC unit caught up enough to make it remotely comfortable.
