Last time I was here everything was great! Reserved a "Superior King Room. " No microwave, no hair dryer and the worst for 2018 no Wi-Fi for two days. The front desk said they are "working on it. " In my book this is clearly a problem.

Clean rooms and comfy beds. Good quality for the price for sure. And the customer service is AMAZING! Nickie (not sure of spelling) was so kind and helpful, we accidentally left a personal pillow behind and she held it for us for a week without any questions or hesitation. I can’t say enough good things about her!

Very friendly, courteous staff. They are my lifesaver. I needed a place to stay. They were the only ones who took me in with my dogs. No pet fees. No restrictions on pets. Very good reasonable weekly rates.

Wifi was very slow most time didn't work. Customer service was good. My first room was a standard room was to really small. It only cost ten dollars extra a day for a superior. The superior is a nice big room. Prices are to high.

Customer service is friendly and awesome. Rooms are very clean and I'm one picky person! Beds are comfy. Close by to restaurants too. Glad I came here. I have no complaints.

I stayed here for business. My company booked the room. I don't think I would pick this place for myself but the price is right for a quick overnight.

It's a budget hotel. There's not much too it. The rooms have a stale smell that I wasn't a huge fan of and some items were dusty. Not my favorite place to vacation or rest, but worked last minute as a place to sleep and is pet friendly.

Front door wouldn't close or open unless you used your hip to slam it. When I left to get something to eat (which I had to lift the door up before exiting), I couldn't get back in my room. The employee had to get some tools to get me back in my room. Ants on the bathroom floor (April), phone in room didn't work, and every time I flushed the toilet it smelled like rotten eggs for 30 mins. I will say it wasn't worth my $70 during the week.

This place is shaping up nicely, rooms getting redone and housekeeping stepping it up is great. Can't wait for bathroom improvements. Will definitely return.

Second time riding uber and it's a great experience and very reasonable, I'm looking forward to using uber in the near future.

I wouldnt give this even one starr, the neighborhood could do without this place crackheads and cruisers waiting to hustle you going in and out of the office. Out there panhandling and husteling guests wjo are simply booking a room. What kind of management allows that to take place right outside the office door?

I've stayed here 4 times. The prices are really good but you get what you pay for. First couple of times was good… Lasthe time, my room smelled like an ash tray. It was so bad, I could barely sleep. I thought I'd just go nose blind to it but the smell was really powerful. Avoid room 207 at all cost! So bad.

Usually the hotels in college areas are run down and disgusting. Not this one! Very impressed. I travel basically every wknd so I don't want to spend a lot on a room becaue I'm really only there to sleep and shower. Housekeeping was awesome, very clean rooms, and easy access to rooms with plenty of parking.

Staff is awesome the rooms are clean and in really good shape nothing but good things to say about this location would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was very happy with the hotel… and so was my furr babies… I checked around for the cheapest prices for a weeks stay and they had to accept pets… and red roof was the best in both categories.

There are two red roof inns in Lansing area. I wanted to book the east Lansing location. The west Lansing location uses the same artworks and photos on the find a hotel page. There was no indication that it was the west location I booked two nights. As it wa going through the confirmation process I was able finally able to see I was booking west. I hit back on my browser and was taken to the booking page. Where I. Was able to book the hotel. I wanted. When I went t my wma I bitivtoved. The west location went thorough. I immediately. Called to cancel and they refused to let me out of the charges. I'm eating one night from a greedy hotel. Don't support greedy franchisees. Stay at east Lansing location. Not the west. The east is much cleaner anyway.

Nikki the front desk clerk was terrific! She was quite busy yet handled my check in cheerfully while juggling other responsibilities simultaneously. A cheerful greeting at the end of a long day makes all the difference in the world. The room itself was as one would expect for $62.00. Most accomodations at this end of the scale are comparable. These types of rooms still retain a smokey smell from when that was permitted. That said, I would return albiet with odor absorbing candles…

Horrible, Horrible, experience. Brand new phone stolen out of the room. Was solicited by front desks friend, who was staying on her discount. Borrowed fortyfive for room, never paid it back. Also police escorted off, so no refund, refused. The solicitor was also a prostitute. Paid over three hundred for a week. Only two nights into the room. Please Be very careful.!

The front desk manager was lovely. She saved me a room on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the sink had a clog that took awhile to drain. My nonsmoking room smelled like cigarettes. People living in the rooms tend to smoke outside their doors, so I think many of the rooms could smell the same. But it was clean and quiet and affordable. And welcoming to my dog. I was only there for a few hours, but it felt like people stayed for longer, as there was a makeshift table and BBQ grill out back.

Avoid at any cost. Bed bugs, filthy sheets with blood stains. Management did not take any action. Very poor management, worst customer service. Absolutely no follow up to a serious issue as such. Will never stay at Red Roof again. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

Rooms are great, good location to many resturants and bars. Front office staff was super nice and quickly checked me in. They saw my preference for 1st floor and acknowledge that which was nice, also received my 2 bottles of water and I didn't have to ask. Will stay again.

In need of a last-minute emergency hotel, Red Roof Inn Lansing West came through. Price was very reasonable. Room was clean. Grounds were well maintained and I felt safe during my stay. It was quiet and close to restaurants and just about any amenity you may need. All in all its a great option if you're looking for an inexpensive, clean place to crash.

We prepaid for a 2 night stay through Expedia. The room smelled like smoke. There were stains on the pillow cases and hair on the sheets. Pillow was flat as a pancake and I woke up with a stiff neck. After the first night we left at 8 am and returned at 11 pm to find our room had not been cleaned. Everything was as we left it in the morning. Beds not made, dirty towels in the tub, not vacuumed, no coffee, dirty sink, dirty toilet, etc. I went to the front desk and told the attendant, she apologized and gave me fresh towels and then asked if I wanted sheets to change the beds myself! Are you kidding? You'd think she'd offer to change them herself. At checkout I told a different person at the desk and they apologized again and said they would inform the manager. She offered me a coupon for 15% off my next stay at any Red Roof Inn which I will never use because I won't go back to a Red Roof Inn ever. No frills Inn, no refrigerator, no microwave, no breakfast, no coffee in the room, AND NO MAID SERVICE! They say you get what you pay for, well here you don't even get that!

Only stayed for a single night but enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and helpful in giving information we needed about finding a place to fix our tire. The only downside was that we hit a nail in their parking lot on our way in. However, it was fixed for free by the tire company when they found out we were in town for my Grandfather's funeral.

Good clean the people next to us had a dog but it was well behaved, the room was clean honestly I cant think of anything bad to say about this hotel and I will be back.

Staff was very friendly and helpful in pointing me towards the right direction for food. Cottage Inn pizza I recommend. I also enjoyed the high amounts of outlets.

Respectable staff members. Small but acceptable rooms. OK parking. Front desk didn't have any extra pillows or covers. Oh yeah, BED BUGS. This motel does have bed bugs. Beware of that before you come here.

Very clean, up-to-date, and simple hotel design. Rooms are small but satisfactory, geared towards getting in, sleeping, and heading out. No flourishes such as work-out room, minifridge, pool, etc.

Ample parking, hard to see the driveway from the road in bad weather.

As soon as we checked in and got into bed my arm got eaten alive. I don't know if it was a spider or bed bugs but I got 5 bites on my arm and they welted up instantly. Called the front desk and at first they didn't offer a new room, finally they gave us an "upgrade" which was just a microwave. Would never stay again, not even if it was free.

The room is clean staff friendly… will stay again… Wi-Fi is a lil shady.

Pretty good for a place to stay not much extra offered but I didn't spend much time in the room.

Rented 4 rooms for my work crew, had fleas in two of them. Management (Steve) didn't help at all and was rude. Room service was terrible and one girl was cleaning rooms and walking in and out barefoot. Terrible place, trust the negative reviews and don't stay here.

Super slow Wi-Fi, half-assed maid service and no breakfast.

Service was exceptional both evening and morning. Room was clean and overall experience was good. I would stay at this location again.

I come to this location every month for work. The rate is always good and the rooms is really clean. I like the staff and its convenient that they have coffee, water, and cookies.

This is my favorite hotel in Lansing. The rooms are just what I need nothing special but the beds are comfy and they have a flat screen tv. The staff is pretty accommodating and this red roof is recently updated. Love the redicard program.

Will never stay in this hotel or for that matter ANY red roof any where else. Awoke to discover that during the night I had been bitten repeatly by bed bugs to the tune of 47 welts all over any part of body not covered by pj's and a t-shirt. Have never experienced anything so disgusting my entire life! Mgr S Kassab has since told me that a pest control tech has told him that he felt that the bugs were NEW bugs and were probably brought in by the lodger. Are you EFING kidding me they now have the balls to say that I infected the room.

Stayed here on business, clean comfortable room. I will stay here again. Plenty of restaurants to chose from. Gas station next door.

The room is clean no smoking smell, the staff is very friendly the only thing I notice some shady and loud people but they have no control of that they have to behave them self in civilized way and respect other guest pls, common people we are in 2015.

We checked in Christmas day 2014. The first thing we found on the floor was a tube of raspberry flavored "D***alicious" sex jelly. My wife and I are in our fifties and we are not prudes, but really? I took the lube to the office right away. The lady at the desk said that after a room is cleaned by staff that it is rechecked by a member of management. She had no explanation as to how 2 people could have missed sex jelly on the floor. I returned to the room and decided to check the bed. We found that the bed had just been made and the sheets had not been changed! There were short black dog hair on the sheets. We told the manager that we were leaving. We were in the room less then 30 minutes. The manager refused to refund our money. My wife called Red Roof corporate the following Monday and they too refused a refund. I stopped payment by filing a dispute with the credit card company. We will NEVER stay at a red roof again. UPDATE: My wife called corporate again and they said a rep will call her back in 48 hours. We'll wait and see. In the meantime, she did get a form email from the store manager, Steve Kassar, stating the he was sorry the room didn't meet OUR expectations and they would pass the comments along, blah blah blah, but no refund. I decided to call Mr. Kassar myself and ask what HIS expectations would be.

Almost exactly what I needed. I booked for $39 on Priceline — this was the midpoint on a long drive so I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours. Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and condition of the room! The missing items were a box of kleenex and shampoo. There isn't much protection from noise, but since the hotel was not close to capacity this wasn't much of an issue.

The heater in the room we were given had been turned all the way up prior to our arrival. It was so hot in the room that it was difficult to breathe. We turned it down and left the door open while we unpacked but, despite temps outside in the low 40's, it barely helped. We then turned the AC on full blast and left it on all night but still had to sleep without the covers. The room smelled like smoke, despite being a "non-smoking" room according to the card on the desk. We ran out of toilet paper first thing in the morning and could find no more in the room, the next door neighbors could be heard slamming doors and yelling to each other into the late night hours, the Wi-Fi signal was poor, the clock's time was 27 minutes fast. Definitely NOT worth $100 for the night. Worth $30-40 tops. Told the desk person our troubles as we left in the morning and all we got was an "oh, okay".

Room smelled of smoke. Perhaps the staff smoking while they did their housekeeping tasks was the cause, as that seemed to be the way they did things. Dirty bathtub. Long hairs on shower curtain. Wifi non functional, was given a disconnected number to call about it. (Doesn't anyone know how to reboot their own routers anymore? Lots of workers stay here, so parking lot was filled with long term trailer parking. Large groups of workers and other folks hanging over the railings till all hours of the night. Were woken up several times by shouting and loud cars going by. I travel most of the year and this was the worst place I have stayed as far as the clientele. Some would say it is a crack house. Management at night seemed not to care what was going on. Establishing some quiet hours and enforcing reasonable parking rules would o a long ways but the place needed a security guard to keep order. I will never be there again. Don't let the coupon book fool you into going there. Also look out for the safe charge on your bill. Automatically is added to your bill unless you request its removal.

My husband, 2yr old son, dog, and I, found ourselves staying here for a long period of time. At first checking in, the front desk ladies, knowing our situation, upgraded or room to the largest, for the same lower price as the standard. And THEN, also gave us 1/2off on our third night. Also set it up to work with us, in case we couldn't pay for the next day before payment due at 11am. Just as long as we told them we'd have it later in the day, they took our word for it. Wonderful girls working there, and we had no bed bug problems, nor rude service. Must of been a fluke for us lol, but I'd stay again. Thank You Red Roof Inn.
