We loved our stay as always. Staff was great and boss was super helpful.

The boss of this place is not very nice to employees. Makes the guy that cleans the outside do it all by himself butnywt can let a guy walk around who is suppossd to be working drink beer and do nothing. For the price you pay for a room there they should be able to pay employees better. The also dont care if yiu or a family member is sick they make you come in anyways.

View was great enjoyed the patio and beach. Definitely needs to be updated especially with what you pay per night. Pool and hottub were nice as well and the staff was nice. Screen with holes throughout, curtains that are probably original etc. Needs to be modernized.

I’ve been a regular customer there for years. Last visit was terrible. People above me were constantly dropping something heavy and thumping around and opening and closing the patio door until the second time I had to call the front desk. Plus people on the beach were yelling and singing loudly until midnight. I couldn’t sleep and paid $200 for the night. Asked for a refund and had to wait two weeks for a response with repeated calls. Then I was told no refund and they would give me a discount on my next stay. Still waiting for that 6 weeks later and the manager can’t even return my call. This is how you’re treated when you’ve been a good customer! What kind of trashy business is this? Disgraceful! Never again. Don’t stay here!

Wonderful staff who were extremely helpful with local recommendations and super friendly! This jewel of a location directly on the waterfront was exactly what my family and I needed. We have found a destination that we will return for years to come♥️

They have the friendliest staff, most beautiful views and the cleanest rooms! This is the third year staying here and already have our reservation for next year! Love this hotel ❤️

customer service was tops, room was clean and comfortable, and you couldnt ask for a much better view to relax to at the end of a busy day.

We stopped at several Lake Michigan places while on our roadtrip ending here at the Beachfront Hotel. The Great Lakes are big and beautiful but this place is a comfortable and welcoming spot to remind us of how wonderful Michigan inland lakes are as well.

Amazing property! Beach and waterfront are awesome. Super clean inside and out. Rooms are so nicely done as well as gathering areas inside and outside of hotel. We will definitely be visiting again next summer!

Allows pets and the balconies beach side have great views. Beds and pillows are very comfy in the updated rooms. We loved having two connecting rooms. Breakfast was as expected but would've loved if the beautiful fireplace was on. Definitely would stay here again.

We stumbled on this hotel during a long trip, and will definitely return to spend some time in the summer. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to see the beach in all its glory!

Great place and location! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the rooms are not super clean. Light cobwebs in the corners, dust around the edges of the TV, a couple of dead bugs in room. Nothing major. The staff is fantastic! The pool is ok, needs some updates. The beds are very comfortable. Room has fridge/freezer and microwave which is a bonus! If you get 1st floor, you can walk out to the beach. Most rooms have a patio that overlook the beach. They have grills so bring burgers and charcoal! Second time staying here, will come back again.

Everything was very lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool water could have been warmer lol. But over all wonderful!

If the pool hadn't been ice cold, I'd give it 5 stars. The hot tub was very foamy, which is not normal. Our room was nice and updated, the best very comfy. The "window" in the bathroom for the jetted tub makes for a very non private bathroom tho. It was pricey but at least was nice and clean and comfortable. Great location, breakfast was as expected.

Right on the lake! Play area for kids. My room is over looking the lake, great veiws. Rooms are nice, bed not comfy to me but everyone is different. 2 fire pits. Clean beach.

Beautiful view! Accommodating staff. Plenty of beach seating. The dock is a huge plus to bring your boat. Nice remodel but could have sprung for some new toilet paper holders in the bathroom. :) Loved that it was set at 65 in our room on a 100 degree day! Definitely will be back! Didn't try continental bfast as we all slept in on the comfy beds.

We had a very nice one night stay at this hotel at a fair last minute rate during the holiday week. We took a room without the lake view to keep the cost down. At check in we were able to check in early as our room had just gotten ready. Nice they let us do that! We enjoyed the lake right outside and had plenty of space to lounge in. The room was very clean! Mandy at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Free breakfast wasn’t 5 star but was fine and enough to get us going. They could use a little more parking though but it works. Totally worth a look and a stay.

Loved this place. We went here for a quiet weekend break during off season and was releasing and peaceful. Value for money!

The rooms were very clean loved the view. They had a hot tub, and pool, beach access. It was awesome. I would definitely recommend for a quick weekend getaway.

What can I say, good free breakfast, nice rooms that actually have a good shower/comfy bed, lakeside view, and friendly staff. I will for sure stay here again next time I come up.

Newly remodeled rooms. Big problem: the beds are so high that someone short, elderly or handicapped can't get in them! Very disappointed! I like the hotel and have stayed there a few times. I don't know if I will stay again. If you are young and agile, enjoy. Does not appear as though they care about short, elderly or handicapped people anymore.

Outstanding the most comfortable pillows and bed we have ever slept in. Will stay there again if in the area.

Very personable, professional, clean, breakfast was good. Went to pool swam, a little disappointed the hot tub was cold keep in mind off season and I was there at 9:30 am, iam sure the evening usage hrs it was hot. Differently recommend and will return in summer for the lake view and beach. I have a Yorkie 7lbs anf staff very accommodating. Tk you.

We've stayed here a couple of times. Once in summer, the other time in winter. Very nice, clean, and felt very welcomed.

Loved my stay, everyone was great, breakfast was ok. The reason for the low rating is after my stay I’ve gotten so may robot calls stating I’ve won a trip or have a discount at a resort. I get calls at least 2xs a month or more. I’ve blocked their numbers and still receive them.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Save your money and go somewhere worth it. This place, and their management is a joke!
When we arrived on 12-17-17, the floor we were on was being renovated. It smelled very strongly of paint, and being pregnant I was not very happy about. There were no numbers by the doors, so it took us 10 minutes of trying numerous doors to actually finally find our room. When we opened our door, and entered the room we noticed the room was at least 20 degrees cooler than in the hallway, and upon further investigation, realized our heater unit was completely unplugged. We bought things to put in our refrigerator, only to find a few hours later that it. Was turned off. Our television needed to be rebooted, and we had to call the front desk to assist us in that. Later in the evening, when I decided to use the jacuzzi tub (the main reason we bought this room) it was completely filthy with little hairs everywhere in the tub. The grout around the tub was filthy as well. I then drained the tub, and refilled it in hopes it would be clean, and it was not. Today when my boyfriend went downstairs to check out the lake views, he was locked out, and had to climb through the snow without boots on to get back inside. The card reader to let you back in was not working. Last night when I requested more pillows, the front desk lady came up here and made a comment of "I forgot they were renovating up here, almost didn't find your room" and then laughed.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Has a small pool. Pet fee kinda high and they didn't have dog cookies. Should add sausage and biscuits and gravy to the breakfast. Over all. Pretty nice.

If I do have any I could call up to the front office and they lovely seemingly competent women up there seem like they would do their best to accommodate me. Even the elevator is nice. Don't get me wrong this isn't like a 5 star hotel but it is a 4 star if you ask me.

Our family of 5 came from out of state to visit family for 4 days they recommended this hotel I have to say when we entered the staff was nice the hotel was beautiful our room was nice other than couple defects from normal wear and tear but after one night of staying there we had to take our children into grayling emergency because they had small bites come to find out it was indeed bed bugs I was very disgusted and ruined our whole vacation. Definitely won't be staying here in near future!

I enjoyed the rooms. I had the room with a view of the beach. Very clean. Well maintained. Very serene location. Variety of food for breakfast. Indoor heated pool with Jacuzzi. Fitness room and laundry rooms are available.

We stayed here with our three kids. We were hoping to stay for two nights and enjoy the beaches at Houghton Lake but the weather and the fact that it was Bud Bash weekend made that not possible. Because of the rowdy crowds at the hotel (which was no fault of the hotel), we decided to cut our stay short. The staff was able to accommodate us and sell our room to another party so that we didn't have to pay for the night we weren't staying. We will definitely be back on a less crazy weekend!

Hotel is located right on the lake shore. The views are gorgeous. The beach is nice with fire pits and lounge chairs. Free breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay. Will recommend to friends & family. Thank you!

Great service and friendly staff. Our room was clean and the new king bed was great to sleep in. The continental breakfast had a lot of options. We've stayed here before and will again.

I'm currently sitting by the pool watching my family swim. Very nice room, pool, hot tub, and a wonderful beach. Having a great time:) VERY CLEAN. Maybe warm up the pool a little.

Awesome experience. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and well organized. The location is good. We chose a sea walk level.

This was my first visit to the area since I was a child. I was up here to speak at a paranormal conference and this room was reserved for us by the host. We arrived before the scheduled check-in time but were given a room with no hassle. The room was nearly perfect. It was very clean, well stocked, and had an amazing view of the lake from the balcony. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room and a bit more of a breakfast selection but neither of these took away from the overall visit. I will be returning to the area, and will be staying here again.

The staff was nice! The room was clean an in order. I booked on Expedia and had a tub with jets and a stand up shower. I had a fantastic time. Will definitely go back.

One star is almost to much credit! The place is junk! Was there to relax and chill out, was welcomed to nonstop construction without advance notice. Had been coming there for years, but probably will not return. Thank you very much!

We got the honeymoon. Sweet at 400$ on a Tuesday… Could not get down halls carpet being raped up. Then front desk and manger lady drinking and coming in room. Not private or nice. Rude and drinking. Where is the owner?

Where to begin. Booked through Expedia which made no mention of the "Bud Fest" that was going on when we arrived. Entire facility is outdated, marginally clean and grounds were littered with trash. Air coming out of room a/c smelled like cat urine. Do not be fooled by the clever reviews and carefully taken photos. Breakfast nook had a unclaimed half case of bud light and a vapor cigarette on the table. Nice! Pool and hot tub area were like a Petri dish. Parking lot was insufficient to accommodate guests with no overflow. Storm took out electricity and water so I ended up lugging my own water from the lake to flush the toilet. Bottom line is public health issues from not being prepared to accommodate guests in a situation like that. Owner and manager were no where to be found, leaving the hired help to face dissatisfied customers checking out. One and only positive note is clerk called Expedia to square away leaving early. Still if negative stars were allowed this place would have one or two. Military steer clear.

We were there for two night mid July. 1. We got the rooms at 4:00 although check in time is 3:00. 2. The pool / spa is the dirtiest pool I've ever been in. 3. Elevator stopped working for about 16 hours during our visit. 4. Rooms are ok. We asked for extra blankets they gave us two ripped blankets. 5. Beach area is dirty. 6. Unbelievable amount of Bugs you can't sit outside at al. Bugs inside the room too. 7. None of the Arcade games work. 8. Only one treadmill works in whatever they call it fitness. I will never go back there and will never recommend it to anybody.

Stayed there recently. Some staff helpful, some not. Had a fall in the bathroom due to them not having any thing to hang on to or any rubber mat to step out on. Hurt my wrist and elbow. They sent a wonderful housekeeper to help me (Burt). Burt helped me up, got me ice, and assisted me as needed. It was decided per self that I should go get checked at urgent care. I stopped at front desk to get any paperwork to take with me. None. My insurance paid for x rays. No one from the hotel called to check to see how I was doing. I called numerous times to get a copy of an incident report. The front staff said they will send it and they would have manager call me. No call, no incident report until I stated that maybe a lawyer would have to call. Then boom it was at my house. Still I do not think that my insurance should have paid and then to boot, after numerous phone calls, getting lied to, they deducted 175.00 for my stay. Hello, what happened to good customer service. No stars, if there was a negative star this hotel deserves ones. (I had to click a star to publish so giving it a star) Who ever says this hotel is good is not helping others. This is the WORST HOTEL I have stayed in my life. Rooms have a stange smell and you cannot sleep at night if you have asthma or any breathing condition. Staff are extermely rude. . 1. Only one elevator that is extremely busy in a hotel with 4 floors. 2. Check in time was 3:00 but the room was not ready. 3. Some staff not at all friendly. As we were waiting for our room to be ready, an employee walked past us, threw her blue staff shirt on the floor by the office door, which is right in the lobby, and walked out. Very unprofessional. 4. Our room opened to a balcony facing onto the lake. But the sliding glass door providing access to the lake looked like it hadn't been washed all year. Very dirty. 5. Sink in our room was clogged and took forever to drain. 6.4 light-bulb bar above the sink had one light bulb burnt out. 7. The pool was supposed to open at 8:00, but there were days when it not open till we go ask. Bugs all around. Strange smell coming from the room when air condition is running. I can continue lisitng the issues. But do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

The maintenance man (Elton) came back after leaving for the day to inspect our heaters on a frigid night. In addition he taped our doors and grabbed extra blankets. Elton was very kind about it and didn't seem inconvenienced at all. Thanks.

Had stayed at this motel 3 years ago and really liked it. Unfortunately this time around was not as good. The room was generally clean, and the breakfast food was good. But there are several negatives that have us deciding to stay at another location next time we are in that vicinity. 1. Only one elevator that is extremely busy in a hotel with 4 floors. 2. The pool was supposed to open at 8:00, but there were days when it was 8:15 before someone came to unlock it. Also there was trash around the pool — candy bar wrappers, empty pop and beer cans. And the drinking fountain in that area was scummy and dirty. 8. There was a pop and vending machine on our floor, as well as an ice machine. The pop machine had a note taped on it saying it was empty at the time and they were waiting on the vendor to deliver more pop so it could be refilled.

A very nice hotel right on the lake. Warm indoor pool and walk right out to the beach. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A great stay and a pretty reasonable price. You couldn't ask for more.

Good family value. We got 2 Queen beds for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very nice, no complaints. The common areas were nice and clean, not high end and not trashy either. The included complimentary breakfast could have been better and healthier. It was definitely an afterthought. Housekeeping was a bit lacking too — sheets were not dusted, and new cups were not provided. We used this as a base to visit Traverse City and Sleeping Bear. Yes, it is a 1.5-2 hour trek. But for 1/3 the price. It was worthwhile for us.

Decided to stay here for a few nights instead of making the trek to Traverse City when we found a great deal from Groupon. Overall, the hotel, though dated, was pretty nice. It looked like the lobby and elevator had recently been renovated, but not the rooms. Our Groupon was for a Jacuzzi room, which is not available with a lake-view. There are only, I think, 4 rooms at the hotel that have no balcony whatsoever (not even of the parking lot) and we got one of those, which was a bummer. Our room had a strange smell to it. It wasn't overbearing, but it was there and noticeable every time we walked into the room. The jacuzzi was large and wonderful, however the shower was very small and the shelf wasn't even large enough to hold shampoo and conditioner at the same time. The beach was small, but clean, for the most part. My 4 year old enjoyed it. They have 2 fire pits, several plastic chairs and I think even some plastic sand toys for kids. There are a lot of ducks there that apparently get fed a lot because they come right up to you. Which was cute at first, but then I got to thinking about all of the duck poop that must be in the water. The game room is a joke with only about 3 working games and they wanted $1 to play pac man. The pool was pretty nice but had a lot of sand in the bottom from people not rinsing before they got in. The temperature was nice though.
