Just had the worst customer service call with a direct employee at the reservation desk. The man was extremely rude. I tried to book 2 rooms and he wouldn’t assist. I’ve stayed multiple times this past year and never had such a hard time booking a room. Absolutely rude. If I were the manager at this property I would fire him just based on how he represents himself on a 3 minute conversation. Couldn’t imagine how he would treat real guests PAYING hundreds to stay at this hotel. Super disappointed.

Have stayed at this hotel for years, never had issues with staff until the other night. The guy at the front desk was rude to my wife and son off the start and it continued until I had to step in and ask him to stop! Then he said I was trying to fight him and called the cops and had us removed. Come to find out he was sick from what he thought was covid and they were making him work, so he decided to take it out on everyone else.

Good clean rooms. Wonderful location.

Lovely place. Rooms were comfortable, love that there is nice grass on the lake to walk the dogs, restaurant had great selection and friendly staff — nice get away.

Dirty. Hot tub, pool, rooms, all dirty. I would expect with the revenue brought in that they would maintain the pool amenities much better. Food from bar is great but definitely a disappointment for one night at over $200. Should have went to the Soaring Eagle instead.

We made a spur of the moment decision to stay here and it was an excellent choice — The service was amazing and the food and drink were outstanding and ZELMA our waitress made our evening — She is a hardworking seasoned server who had been on shift from 11 am and we arrived close to closing time she still had us laughing and she made us feel like we could have stayed for hours! This woman deserves a raise — Thank you Zelma and the sunrise across the lake first thing in the morning was incredible to wake up to — 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful big room, bout a hundred foot walk to Higgins lake. Can sit and watch the lake activities and/or your tipups on the couch in tbe warmth with a hot tottie… great get away.

This place needs a big cleaning, rooms were dirty and the pool area really is disgusting. This place has such potential but needs some TLC.

The resort is absolutely beautiful and had the best service and manager was the best ever would go there every month.

Had amazing night stay here the bar was wonderful the staff was wonderful food was beyond amazing! The room was super clean and nice! The view of the lake was breathtaking! The jacuzzi was very relaxing in our room! We will definitely be coming back! Only thing I wish would have been mentioned is that the pool was/is open. I picked this place because of the lake since every where else I’d already called said their pools were closed inside due to the Covid restrictions. But all around it was amazing experience we like the rooms wish we could’ve stayed a few more nights!

Dirty, nasty, unpleasant stay. Dogs barking all night. Rude staff. Dirty rooms, cob Webs in our room.

This place has great potential, but with it's current condition and management, I would not recommend staying with them. — They checked us into a room that already had people in it… lying in bed! To which the manager replied, "No big deal. " — They allowed one of their employees to KEEP the garments I accidentally left in the closet. — The manager is unprofessional and would not return my calls. I will say this… the service and food in the RESTAURANT was outstanding.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I was there for a womens retreat. The place made u feel like u were home. My room overlooked the water and it was breathtaking. The staff was warm and kind. Rooms were clean and never had to wait for anything to be taken care of or needs to be met. Tammy is awesome and fed and took care of all are needs and kept are bellies full. Brooklyn the manager made sure everybody was taking care of. Her professionalism and kindness made the stay. Never to busy to chat and get to know everyone. Planning my next adventures in wonderful Michigan and will always stay there. Thank u all❤❤

Beautiful place with amazing food!

We paid good money to stay at this hotel so we expected it to be pretty nice. The view of the water from our room was amazing and the pool was nice but other than that, we were extremely disappointed. We came here for a wedding and check in was at 3:00pm. We arrived about 3:20 and the room was not ready, and the wedding started at 3:30. We had to change and get ready in a conference room and leave our bags there since our room was not ready. Then after the wedding when it was time for bed, we went to crawl into bed and there were no sheets on our bed. We had to go get them at the front desk and make the bed ourselves. Not happy at all. Our bed wasn’t too comfortable and people were loud in the hallways but that is normal for most hotels.

dirty — long story short, don't bother getting a balcony because it hasnt been power washed in years: so tons of old and new spider webs and thousands of dead bugs not enjoyable at all. Jacuzzi had ring of film that I was able to clean off with a towel. Wallpaper peeling. I could go on
special request — I got a king jacuzzi suite, I told them I wanted to be away from main floor and large groups. So whaaaaaat do they do put new on second floor by the balcony that is having a wedding. Why wouldn't you put a wedding party person in this room.
service — you can't adjust temp in room and can not run a fan on unit. Im assuming the front desk is controlling this? I walked down to desk rang bell never got answers.
bar and grill — the only thing that was good.
disappointed to say the least.

I would not recommend this place!
I believe $350.00 dollars for a child's birthday in the water park is outrageous and then they want to charge an additional $5.00 per person not swimming a SPECTATOR FEE!
And don't try contacting the manager, she will Not take your phone call or Return your call!

I just had my wedding July 6th 2019, Brooklyn and the entire staff was Excellent outstanding and amazing, like a Family, superior service, the rooms are comfortable and the Property is Family and kid friendly. My wedding was 100 people and everyone Loved this venu hotel and stay from 6 days and below outstanding and they are all Returning. What a Beautiful Day and Property due to this outstanding staff a Family I would call as they all know each others jobs and every one works a A Great Beautiful Team — с Joel Dean.

Worst experience ever! Service is so slow. Completely understaffed and servers are taking tables all over the place instead of taking them in one section. Took 20 min for a drink. Took over an hour for food, when it finally arrived medium rare ribeye was over cooked like almost well done. Then filet was fatty and tasteless. Told server we refused to eat it. Manager offered a $15 comp. I almost lost it. I remained calm and clearly explained we would be paying for our drinks then leaving. Didn’t even get to have a sip of the 2nd drink we just got but charged us anyway. Management wasn’t even apologetic. Menu is pricey so you would think the experience would have been much more pleasurable. Will never go back and I highly recommend never checking it out. Sad because the location, environment, and menu could really be amazing.

I had my wedding here and everything was great! Brooklyn along with the rest of the staff were all so helpful. The venue was beautiful and food was delicious. Everyone loved it!

The family suite on the lakeside is pricey not worth the money. Bunk beds in kids room has bed bugs. Upon waking up the next morning myself and children were covered in bed bugs bites. I actually was able to catch one and take it to office. Requested to speak with manager but she was off. So first thing Tuesday morning I got to speak with the manager. She of course denies there is any bed bugs. But I made sure to take pictures.

It was nice, clean, friendly staff is all I ever worry about I been traveling for 12 years this was not bad for the price I would definitely be staying here again.

Water park was not clean. Trash and grime all over. The slide was closed half the day and the fountains weren’t running for half the day either and this is the whole reason we even came. Walls are paper thin. Didn’t even get to speak to anyone at check out as she yelled from another room while on the phone just to drop the keys and go. Very disappointing. Will not be back.

All of us at Michigan UFO Con-tact are over the top happy with the way the Lakeside Resort and Conference Center helped to make our event as wonderful as possible. We had about 200 people who were voted to keep our event here next year! Huge kudos and thanks to Vinny, Brooklyn, Tammy, Brandy, Laurie, and all of the staff who worked so hard to take care of everyone. Your place is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is top notch!

The staff was AMAZING at check-in. Rooms were nice. We had 4 kids with us and they loved the water park. They swam all day. We will definitely be back!

After a flood incident at our home, we were forced to stay in a hotel for 10 days. Vicki\amanda were VERY empathetic and helped us out immensely throughout our stay and made sure we were accommodated. However, I had a bad impression of her manager\boss at check out. Vicki was handling our check out and was over taken\belittled by her manager as if she wasn't capable of doing her job. Not a smooth move in front of customers. Good job Vicki and thank you for all your help.

Ok, this place feels like it is in flux. Understand the area, this is a nice resort for the area. However, there are signs of maintenance, repair or repair needs all over. From a pool area that needs painting, sealing and descaling, random bricks piled up around the building, to external egress door jambs pulled and wallpaper off the walls. I feel this place is in flux, because there are signs of what looks like improvements happening! However, staff were very friendly and room experience was good.

Beautiful rooms! Staff is amazing. This hotel has the best wedding events coordinator. Perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Or for a special event. Weddings are spectacular here and leave lasting memories for a lifetime. Cannot beat the view of beautiful Houghton Lake. And the lakeside restaurant has great menu items with delicious food and a great screened in deck or outside so you can dine with the water in full view. Love this place!

Breakfast was not good, I got the last of the ok scrambled eggs, waitress told us beers were 3$ and when the will came they were $6 ea, our room was countryside not lakeside and they would not upgrade unless I called later… running a hotel on the cheap side, gave me an empty bottle of steak sauce, served us our beer and then 10 minutes later came with our chilled glasses, and they only had a handful of customers, on and on not a friendly place or a vacation enjoy.

Rooms where very nice. Clean and well prepared. Great view on the lake side. Had dinner at the restaurant. Sat outside during sun set. Was amazing. The food was incredible. The long island ice tea was not good at all. But the wine choices and flavor where good. I don't like wine. But they had 1 I did. The continental breakfast was very good. Staff was left Polite and friendly. And they did not have a pool. But a mini water park. With a slide, endless river, and 2 hot tubs.

What a wonderful place. The hotel is clean and has comfy beds. The continental breakfast has a lot of options. The water park included in the hotel is fairly small, but it is a lot of fun for kids. I would highly recommend here to stay for a vacation.

I was really excited to spend the weekend out on Houghton Lake with my family. I sold my husband on the place as there was a water park AND a beach so if the weather wasn’t great we could still be entertain our daughter with the water park. I called the night before checkin to see if they could accommodate early check in and they said it shouldn’t be a problem but we’d need to call in the morning to secure it. We left metro Detroit leaving around 10am and called the hotel around 11am to see if we could check in around 12:30 and was told check in was 3pm and that’s when our room would be ready. Strike 1 — don’t tell me the day before they should be able to accommodate us and not do it. Strike 2 — While we were waiting we used the lobby bathroom. Based on the appearance alone it should have been closed. No mirror, no soap, no paper towel. Only a toilet. It looked like they could have been remodeling. Again, they should have just closed it or remodeled before Memorial Day weekend as I assume there when busy season starts. Strike 3 — While waiting they did however give us wristbands to the water park. Hoping to pass some time we walked in and it looked like a run down mini waterpark which consisted of a lazy river, hot tub and a water slide. Let’s start with the lazy river — it was infested with dead flies. Not sure how that’s even possible seeing as tho it’s a indoor pool. The lazy river was broken so t was just free standing water. I took it upon myself to start skimming it.

First impressions were not great. The lobby bathroom probably should've been closed, as it looked like it was in the middle of a remodeling process. No soap. No mirror. No paint. Luckily, a toilet. We stayed here with the intention of using the beach. Unfortunately, the "beach" consisted of a rocky area about 20 feet wide. The area was littered with debris, a tire, and well, litter. The "water park, " was mediocre. It appears the bugs found more enjoyment in the lazy river than my daughter did. My wife took it upon herself to net three skimmer fulls of insects. However, my daughter still refused to swim in it because of the remaining bugs. The water slide was lacking water-the result of a blown water pump-but it did provide entertainment as someone attempted to slide down dry. While we booked the room for two nights, we quickly looked for a way out. After several attempts, we were able to get out of the second night. The only redeeming factors were the room was decent, as well as the breakfast bar.

We stayed in the family suit, spent most of our time at the pool. The room was pretty, and bed was comfy. The kid's room was literally just a bunk bed and a TV on a dresser. The pull-out couch bed was broken, one of the TVs had a bad cable cord so it was staticky. Overall the experience was good they could just use a little updating.

My family and I love this place. I take my children here regularly. 12 dollars per person a day for the water park. I believe it's a total of 9 or 10 hours available to non hotel guests. The rooms are great we usually get a two room suit so the kids have there own bedroom and the wife and I have some privacy. I would recommend a room lake side because it offers great views. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and is very family friendly. The restaurant also offers a tiki bar on the deck lake side. Staff all around the property is very helpful and friendly.

Very nice resort first time I've been there. I think I'm more than likely got the winter rates But the rooms were comfortable lots to do with your kids if you have them.

The only reason I’m giving this place such a low rating is because it’s absolutely filthy! As I sit here, the flooring around me is covered in grime and when we came into the pool area there was an empty glass liquor bottle. The shower drain in the bathroom is clogged with hair and grime. The men’s shower doesn’t even turn on. The mirror in the bathroom looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned in a long while. The flooring in the bathroom is appalling. We had plans to come back next weekend, I don’t think it’ll be happening.

Fair place to stay, safe area but hotel is in need of some Reno. Water stain on the celing in bathroom, most likely from the room above, next to a bad ceiling drywall patch. Looks like there has been some issues… Dirt and goo behind the toilet on the floor. One would think the cleaning staff would clean that up. Water park is nice but also needs some work. Stairs to the water slide are very dirty, clumps of dirt, railing is dangerously rusty. The pile of towels, empty beer cans, coffee cups on mechanical room roof for the pool that has been there long enough to turn funny colors. Fair place to stay but could be so much better!

Staff was very nice. Pool area was relaxing. Breakfast was good. Room was nice. Fireplace common area is very pretty.

You can tell the people who run this place really care, the amenities are wonderful especially for the area. The property is absolutely beautiful, the bar and grill is probably the nicest in the area and also that they have such a large pool and water slides show they care and not just trying to fill in space with more rooms. The staff is very friends the rooms are very clean, keep in mind it's not some luxury resort the rooms are more of a country feel, perfect atmosphere. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the are, no other hotels offer all of these things not even close, the ambiance is like you're staying with friends and there to have fun not just a place to sleep.

When making my reservations in advance I informed them that I was a contractor coming in to do some work in their town. When I arrived I had a bunch of kids running up and down my hallway. I informed the front desk there was kids running up and down the hallway every 20-30 minutes. With no change in the activity as the kids ran by I hollered at them. This continued on, and on, and on. At that point I packed up my stuff and went and stayed somewhere else. Before leaving the hotel I asked to speak to the manager. I was told the manager was not on duty. I then called the manager twice. As hers voicemail was full both times I called I left a message with the front desk to have her call me. After four days I still have not heard anything from her so I called today and was able to speak to her on the phone. She indicated to me she could either give me a free night stay, which I don’t stay in that town I was only there to do work. Or she could take 10 percent off of my bill. As an A+ business owner myself I understand there’s always going to be a day where your business fails and it’s what you do to correct that Fail is what makes you a good business owner or operator. These people only care about the money & made that very clear to me. I would recommend any other hotel (resort) over Lakeside Resort.

We have used this motel and water park many times during our Christmas break. This year everything went well. There seems to be a change of direction in the last couple of years and we found it enjoyable.

Stayed Tuesday night the 26th. Was not told when we booked rooms that only 4 water park passes came with each room. We had 2 rooms that slept 6. Why wouldn’t 6 passes come with that room? Staff was very rude to us when they were explaining it. We called to make reservations and it wasn’t told to us then. Said it was on website. But they couldn’t tell us where. It wasn’t on website when we checked while we were there, but was on website when we got home and checked. Ordered pizza from restaurant. AWEFUL! They said they would deliver it, then when they didn’t we called and they brought it. It wasn’t warm and it was the wrong pizza. We tried calling and they wouldn’t pick up the phone at the restaurant. My family has been coming up over Christmas for years to stay a night and do the water park with the kids. This was the worst it has ever been. We will NOT go back. We will find some where else to go. They were not very busy, I would think they would want some people there to use there rooms. We won’t again.

The rooms are getting rather dated with pealing wall paper. The heater runs non stop because of the cold air leaking in around the unit. The kids love the pool area but the chlorine is so strong they leave with rashes. We have had a family Christmas here the last few yrs and they accommodate our large family. The place just needs some work.

My son got married here in September so we experienced both their ballroom facilities, pool and rooms. We were pleased with the service and how accommodating the staff was to us. Brooklyn was exceptional in her attentiveness to our requests. The rooms were clean. The pool was a ton of fun. The facility itself is bit old but it appears they are making changes to update. Overall a very positive experience. I would give the staff 5 stars and the facility 3, hence the average of four on my review.

The resort was great. Me and my family liked the water park. We had a lakeside room and it was awesome. Only downside was the spiders, but what do you expect from being near the water and near the woods. Overall loved it.

This place is great. We had booked a lakeside view and it was beautiful. Staff is awesome and worth the ride up here. The waterpark is not that big, but you will have a fun time. The only down side of the trip is the spiders. But what do you expect it near the water.

We stayed over night in a family suite. The room was wonderful the staff was extremely pleasant. The dining was wonderful and the food is delicious. Its very family orientated. Vinny was bartending our service was outstanding he went over and above our expectations! I extremely recommend going!

This review is the hardest review that I have ever done. The outside of the hotel looks pretty, but if people want to be technical then it needs some care. (Trash in parking lot. Many lights out. ) Now, I checked into the hotel at 3:00, but went to visit family instead of going to the room. Arrived back at the hotel at 7:30p. M. Went into our room. It looked pretty clean, but didn't smell clean. Went over to the window to shut the blinds and I was greeted by tons of SPIDERS! I immediately went to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. Mind you this is at almost midnight now. Guess what? MORE SPIDERS! Moved us again — only 1 SPIDER, but so many mosquitoes. The pool area looks like so much fun, however you have to get passed the SPIDERS in there as well. Not only on the walls, the slides, but actually in the pools too! The staff did try making it a little better, but could have done way more.

Oh where do I start? I definitely wasn't expecting a luxurious resort, but this place is a hole and on top of it all the staff is rude and unfriendly. The "waterpark" is dusty, dirty and full of bugs and spiders. Our room was fairly clean, except again for cobwebs and spiders and dead mosquitoes in the window. We had asked for more towels and a blanket and were told they were busy but we could come get it ourselves. I went to the bar/grill on site and asked if they had coffee in to go cups so I could take it outside to the "beach area" and was told yes. I asked for two cups with creamer and was charged, then the server brought these huge foam cups without lids and informed me that they were out of cream but they should have some at reception. At reception they did not have cream and I was told no one was available to refill it right now. (however I did found to go cups with lids there and free coffee) The place is also quite noisy. The one star is for the restaurant as the lunch was actually good and the menu is decent.

I loved the food at lakeside bar and grill. But my waitress was even better Courtney Ignat. She was very sweet and on top of the game. I recommend her highly.

Our perfect oasis from cold. Not too far from home. Perfect for my 9 and 10 year old. Great food. Visit many times a year.

Rooms were a good value. Attached resturant was great dining. My sons enjoyed the small arcade. Continental breakfast was OK, but lacked condiments and sorely needed a second waffle machine. The Waterpark was great when it was all working, but an issue with water temperature and level plagued our multi-night stay. Room itself had a great view of frozen Houghton lake but suffered from minor cosmetic damage.

Rooms are a decent price with a water park. We like the restaurant. The arcade had a few games that didn't work and ate quarters. During our stay, the water slide and some of the water heaters were out of order. They had someone there working on it. The swimming pool, lazy river, and adult hot tub, were enough to entertain our family. The continental breakfast was typical. The hotel seemed a little understaffed.

December 2016 I booked our company Christmas Party at the Lakeside Resort so we would not have to worry about food and beverage service ourselves. I was assured that we would have our own dedicated wait staff to take care of all our group's needs. When calling to confirm our party a few days before the event, I was told that we had been upgraded to the 4th floor ballroom at no charge. How terrific, right?! I ordered sampler platters to be delivered approx. 10 minutes after our guest arrival time, and requested that they also take care of beverage orders and take menu orders promptly at the start of our event. I also required someone to show our entertainment to the room an hour prior to our arrival and get them anything they required for the show to which I was told the hotel would take care of everything. When we arrived, the lights in the room were all off except a dull light in the entry and bathroom area, and the room felt very cold. Our entertainment said the room was like that when they arrived, and nobody was there when they arrived. We found the lights ourselves and turned them on, and figured they probably just had turned the heat up so it would probably be a bit before it started warming up.

I recently attended a wedding at the Lakeside resort and conference center. The wedding was held outside along the water and was absolutely gorgeous. After the ceremony, the reception was held in a very spacious room that overlooks the lake. They have a full service bar and a nice dance floor. The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. I was only a guest at the wedding, so I can't speak for how everything went with the planning and setup, but if it was anything like what I experienced, I'm sure it was fantastic.

Food was ok… service was good … bar food as expected… lots of potential… hope the next time the food quality goes up a notch.

Very nice atmosphere. The waitress was great. The food was good although a bit pricey. Nice view of the lake.

We decided to have our son's birthday in their breakfast room, then go to the pool. The package was reasonably priced, and included 3 hours in their breakfast room, 19 swim passes, 4 kind of tiny, but delicious, pizzas, and several pitchers of soda. The pizzas were very late, but the hotel was helpful and apologetic. The water park swim area is amazing! The only things that disappointed me was the little 12" pizzas, how late they were, and that they didn't discount the extra 6 water passes we needed. I had already invested a lot of money into the whole thing. I expected a slight discount. They were also very accommodating when it came to cleaning up and leaving. There weren't any other people needing the room later, so they didn't kick us out after our 3 hour limit. It was a very fun experience.

Came by boat and the docks are terrible. Need a lot of work. The food on our last 3 visits was great but waiting for the kitchen to get it out is test of ones patience. Friendly staff, great view but poorly supervised kitchen. Gives the impression of being under staffed.

I stayed here for a week. Alisha who works the front desk is a very nice enjoyable young lady. My room was very comfortable. It was very clean. My room looked out over the lake and even though the weather was overcast the view was nice. Enjoyed the water park. I would stay again. All of the staff was friendly. Thanks Alisha for all the help. Resturants food was very good.

They hosted a frat party while we were there. Not a family friendly environment at all. People running around screaming and swearing all night. Had some people kick our door a couple times through the night. My friends kids were awoken several times by all the drunken students. Waiting to hear from the manager… probably never going back here even though we have visited several times before.

My family and I drove over 3 hours to this hotel and had a total of 5 rooms. We were celebrating three birthdays and had several children, 18 months to 8 years, with us. The pool and rooms were nice but did not make up for the fraternity that had rented out the hall and pool after hours. Part of the reason, we chose this hotel was because of their "quiet hours" which we assumed would let us and our children get a good night's rest after a day of playing. Insted we put up with loud music, swearing, slamming doors and chanting all night long. The front desk was called several times and eventually stopped answering the phone. They seemed grossly understaffed for the events they had taking place and did not seem to care for their other guests. In the morning when checking out our complaints, along with several other guests, seemed to fall on def ears.

This is my first time staying at this hotel, and let my say I was suprised this wasn't rated at least 4 stars. The location is incredible, as it is right on the water. Has a restaurant bar connected, which even does room service. Drinks are well priced, and the rate on the room was a steal, as I booked in the off season. Rate was slightly better than rooms I saw in grayling, that were not nearly as nice. Even comes with free breakfast! Even though it was not super busy, bar and kitchen stayed open pretty late, which is uncommon for winter. Nice arcade with a variety of games, pool table, and awesome swimming pool where just the icing on the cake. I will definitely be coming back during the summer! Alicia at the front desk made check in and check out a breeze. 5 stars!

We had a great time! The bartender Chris was very attentive and sweet. Great drinks, great food, and a great time!

The place is extremely nice, I was very pleased with the service given. It's amazing to view the lake right outside where you stay in any season. The people were extremely curtious to my needs.

The workers are great. Not paid enough but great.

Held my son's birthday party at the water park, the kids had fun. We had great pizza and appetizers, the staff is great and nice.

Great stay hotel is clean, can see a lot of improvements to the hotel, staff is very friendly, keep up the good work.

I had 100 older adults at this hotel and we were all very happy with the hotel. The location is beautiful, breakfast was very good, and the waterpark was fun. Great experience, and I will definitely bring groups here again.

The service was okay until the day after our first night there. The housekeeper moved all of our things around, stole my medication and then the feomt desk proceeded to tell me that they could not do anything for me because the staff was with them for ten years and I may have cursed a few times but never called them out their names, the continued to tell me I was lying, and to leave and never come back. I asked for even just a refund for one night our of the two that I stayed for the uncomfortableness that they caused me throughout the night, they told me they would call the owners and ask them what to do but never gave me a call back. These people have no idea how to treat their customers. I wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here. I hated it.

I can't tell you how disappointed we were when we went to the Comfort Suites Lakeside Resort for dinner the other night. It was going to be our last night together on our family vacation, and I wanted to treat my kids. We bundled up the three grandkids and drove the boat across the lake. Sadly, once we were seated, no one ever came to take our order. People walked right past us to other tables, where one or two people were seated, but not our table of 6. They didn't even bring water. People at the table beside us tried asking, since we were there before them. Finally, I got the attention of the woman who seated us and she pretty much said there was nothing she could do. "The waitresses are in a bad mood. " It had already been about 20 minutes and we were pretty hungry, so decided our best bet would be to head down about a mile to the beautiful log cabin resort called Limberlost on the same side of the lake. Best decision of the week! The difference was like night and day. We had happy staff, there was music playing, beautiful interior decor, view of the water, and the food was superb! This Nana was happy to spend $140 on a fantastic family memory — and just what we were hoping for.
