This hotel room was not cleaned properly. We were also overcharged with no explanation as to why. They also had deplorable customer service and took over a day to respond to requests for new sheets. The sheets they did have were like wool and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were also uncomfortable. I would not suggest that anyone stay at this hotel.

We got in super late, about midnight. We waited in the lobby for about fifteen minutes while the clerk finished up with another family. No problem there. The clerk was lovely and upbeat. We were in a room shortly after that along with him. The room was ok. Not the cleanest, furniture was stained, toilet paper was almost out, small things. We could look past all that. The next morning is when things started to go awry. We were awake to housekeeping trying to get in our room at about 7am. I told them we were in there and they left. About fifteen minutes later, someone knocked on the door softly then left. Fifteen minutes later, someone else tried getting in. After that, I got up and put out the dnd sign. About an hour later, another knock. It was the front desk clerk asking who we were. I have her my name and that was that… Until she came back again and asked if we had stayed in another room. It was very annoying and quite honestly upsetting. We just wanted to get some sleep. I asked for a call from the manager and have yet to receive one.

The building is nice but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The first room I was assigned had an odor, so I was graciously upgraded to a "poolside" room. Again, a lot to be desired. The staff seem nice enough though.

Our room was filthy. There are ants in the lounge area near the pool. The lamp shades in the room were broken, the room door had a lining that was peeling off. We had multiple rooms for a large group and 2 of the rooms had keys that didn’t work. There was one person checking people in and, through she was nice, she was swamped. The website uses the nicest filters — I felt like I was catfished. Looks good online but in person it’s pretty pathetic.

This used to be a beautiful hotel. Now, the AC unit in my room is moldy with broken front louvers. The toilet would NOT flush even after I went after a plunger. It was slow from the first day. The lights on the beautiful front veranda style front porch need replaced as many of tge lights are out. The entire hotel is in need of serious upgrading. However, the staff was friendly & breakfast was decent.

Rodeway In was clean. The breakfast was okay. The breakfast area was hot due to the pool in the same area. Didn't seem to have enough people working to keep up with breakfast demand and checkout. Had a coin washer and dryer. Washer was quick and efficient but dryer to at least 2 cycles to dry everything.

This has to be the worst place I've ever stayed! Stains on the bed. Sheets had not been changed from the person who stayed before. Just put back on. Found hairs from someone else on sheets and pillowcases. Manger would only apologize, wouldn't do anything about it! Don't stay here! Absolute worst hotel! How in the world it has a 2.5 star rating, I do not know! Should not get any stars!

What a hole in the wall. Beyond gross. We checked in, changed rooms twice. Finally ended up checking out all in 20 mins. They allow pets in all the rooms, which are very run down and out dated. We had dogs barking on both sides of us. What a hot mess. This is the place to go if your looking to caught bed bugs or other critters. After looking at how gross the top cover on the bed was. We didn't chance it.

Good motel with basic rooms. Way too loud in the morning with kids in the pool at 8am and the breakfast room being right next to the pool makes it even busier. Very basic cable with 20 channels. It could definitely use a dusting that I could see the tops of things from my second story room. NO elevator! No handicapped access. A woman had to be carried up and down the stairs by her son while I was here. Would have been easier if they just gave her a 1st floor room.

Great place to stay. Front desk was nice, pool and hot tub area was the best part. We got a king bed with a jetted Jacuzzi in the room that was a great experience. The place was clean Very close to Branns that’s where we end up having dinner with A 10% discount because we had a room at Rodeway Inn. I will definitely be going there again.

Nice place, reasonable price. Restaurant is not connected to the hotel it's across the parking lot. Pool and hot tub should have an adult swim hour from 10-11 as kids were allowed to be in the hot tub. Not real relaxing. Also should be allowed to sit outside your rooms in the open area. We were told we had to be in our rooms when the pool area closed.

Phones don't work so no room service! When I called off of my cell for blankets we had to go outside to main office to pick up our own. Also for the money not very clean! Only good part if the pool. Kids had a great time swimming. Oh and the so call free breakfast, you better get up early it ends at 9:30

On February 24 2018 I paid for a king size room with a jacuzzi tub, and the room was SO NASTY. I checked in at 5 but I left and returned at 11. At 11 pm I opened the the door and I noticed a huge coffee spilled in the bathroom hair and other particles in the jacuzzi tub, strange stains on the chairs, I ended up cleaning the room myself with gloves but I was so scared to sleep in that bed with stains in it I decided to leave at 3:00 am! Save your self the 175.00 and pay a little more for the Hilton or another nice hotel, this place is a dump.

I had a nice 3 day stay here while going to truck driving school. My room was nice and clean and warm. When I came back each day house keeping had fresh towels for me and my bed was made. They have an indoor pool and hot tub and breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again.

I’ve gone here for years off and on. This time we stayed 2 nights and the TV didn’t have the channels they said they had. Also it wasn’t very clean in our room. The first night we had the pool and hot tub alone. The second day and night there were people and their kids and their friends and neighbors and they were not all guest. Paying guest I mean like us and they took over the pool and that whole area with their food and drinks all night. I understand kids parties but that’s why they have Chuck — E — cheese! Not relaxing at all. It was our 34 anniversary.

My family has been coming here for 18 years for our family Christmas party. It used to be quite nice years ago when it it was a Best Best Western. It’s been bought and sold a couple of times since then. We knew it was out of date few years ago, but kept coming because of the convenience of the pool and lounge area and it was still clean enough. After our last experience here over the weekend however, we have all decided that we need to find a new venue. I’m really bummed out about how this place has gone down hill. Our family has had a lot of great holiday get togethers here. All of the little kids in the family looked forward to coming here. They loved that they had an open space to run, a pool to swim in and a game room. Now we have a whole new generation of small kids in the family and we’re going to have to find another place. Everything has it’s run I guess! Positives. 1) The lounge area is large and has open seating for families. 2) Kids love the pool 3) Cheap, but for A few bucks per night more you could do a lot better. 4) Staff was nice enough, to me st least. There just aren’t enough of them to properly maintain the place from what I could see. 5) The location is convenient, especially if you have little kids. There are several restaurants close by. There are also a bowling alley, roller skating rink and kids playhouse all within a 2 minute walk. It’s close to the freeway as well for easy traveling.

Dump. We stayed there once before and everything was pretty convenient given that we have a baby and a dog, so we decided to do it again. We were going to stay two nights, but weather prevented us from getting there the first night. Apparently even though I reserved a specific room (the same as last time), they gave it to someone else. Ok, not a huge deal, it was just across the hall. But now we have to pay more because it's a king bed, and get this — THE HEAT DIDN'T WORK. Christmas night! They have two heating systems, both we tried to get working with no luck. Go to the front desk thinking they might move us, but nooooo… They gave us a space heater! And we have a baby in there! We had to put a towel under the door to keep the heat in and keep the leaking bathroom door closed. For all the INconveniences you'd think they would try to compensate somehow, but no on that also. We will never be back. This place is a joke, don't waste your hard earned money on the crappiest hotel ever!

The picture was so pretty and cozy, but now I understand why it was cropped to show just the entrance. Our room was dark, smelled like urine and there was mold throughout the bathroom. Bed was very uncomfortable as well as pillows. Towels were dirty as if they did not change them from previous tenants. Way over priced. Walls so thin you can hear everything in next room. If I had paid $13.00 for this room it would be overpriced!

We had our hotel block for our wedding here and a whirlpool suite for the night. The floor of our room had sticky spots. Breakfast is basically done poolside in the humid open area.

Stayed for 1 night. Upon checking in, we had to wait 10 min for someone to show up at the front desk. Our room was slightly dirty and had an interesting scent to it. Less than desirable neighbors, as they were partying and roaming the hallways most of the night. The nice part of this hotel was the price and charm, especially in the pool area. It's not the worst hotel I have stayed at; however, I would not stay again and will be using Air-BNB next time. Do Not Recommend.

The hotel was conveniently located near a few cool places like a bowling alley and a skate drink. There was also a restaurant in the same parking lot as the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the pool area had a hot tub, billiards, air hockey, and fooseball. There was an arcade room too. It was a fine hotel. The woman at the front desk was very nice too and she handled an incident with a customer very well. But they definitely should always have more than one person working the desk at a time because it's safer. My only complaint was the breakfast. It's was mediocre and they didn't have a lot of food when my friends and I arrived.

High hotel price, low motel amenities, blocked off a bunch of rooms for my wedding. Bad idea, nasty chemical smell in rooms, curry smell everywhere else. Breakfast was served in soggy musty pool/ multi purpose area. Hard crusty spots on floor in room, Whirlpool in room was not working correctly. Stains on sheets, dim front desk workers. Honestly the only thing this place had going for it was that our bed didn't have bed bugs (as far as we could tell). Seriously spend your money elsewhere.

Room was clean. Pool was a nice addition. Lots of variety in the breakfast selections. Hotel is a little older and is showing it's age in spots. Overall a good value.

Nasty! Sheets are dirty! Towels were dirty and hung up to be reused. Shower was dirty. Cleaned it myself. Pillows are GROSS! Doesn't look like it's ever vacuumed! Hotel looks like it's rented out by the hour! But I guess that's way it's cheap! Stay at your own risk! Sucks that all other Hotels are booked up! We're stuck.

Great rate, rooms are decent. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc. Pool and hot tub are nice. Breakfast was good but had to wait a little while because there were a lot of guests but they made sure to replenish constantly. Definitely worth the money.

This hotel may have been nice when it was built but run-down doesn't even begin to describe it. You can tell some efforts have been made and I will say the bed was pretty comfortable but that's it. The lamp shades are yellowed, the pillows look like they've been around longer than the hotel, the bathroom is out dated and there were hairs all over when we checked in. It's the kind of place you don't take your shoes off and you don't dare let your bare skin touch the carpet. The thing that was the MOST upsetting, however, is we were given a room right in the middle of the pool, the dining area AND the game room. So every morning at about 6 a. M. We were woken by kids screaming at the top of their lungs and games in the game room. They should HAVE to tell you about the noise when you check in. We got terrible sleep and did what we had to just to make it through the weekend. So if you want to sleep/rest well and are looking for a place that would pass a health inspection… look elsewhere. Cannot say enough how disappointing this place was! Oh and my husband and I as well as two of our friends tried the pool out… big mistake… it gave me a huge rash on my arm. We aren't hard to please. This place is just that bad. Truly. Stay at your own risk.

Great pool area, nice rooms, full use of the food area. Very pleasant staff.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that it was VERY loud there since it was New Year's Eve. Even at 3am, the hallway was filled with loud drunk people having a great time singing along with music with random yelling and stomping through the halls. I considered leaving to sleep at a friend's house. At any other time, I'm sure I would have had a great experience at this hotel. I will be sure not to stay again on New Years Eve.

The hotel is economical. The pool is OK, the rooms are spacious but mostly clean. The front door is not easy to find.

Well it snowed a little so no TV at all since it's dish. No worries I'll work. Except the internet is 98 kilobytes. Yes literally kilobytes. So I can't work because the connection is so slow My computer won't even send or receive emails. My non smoking room wreaks like cigarettes. Spend 20$ more a night and stay at a real hotel. All of this mentioned to the front desk got me a "I'm sorry nothing we can do". Won't be coming here again.

A beautiful place to stay. I'm a smoker, and I'm not upset that I cannot smoke inside. Super clean room, very spacious. Great location too. Very friendly staff, and nice pool too. If I'm ever in Grandville / Grand Rapids again, I'll most definitely stay here again!

Our stay was very nice. It was a last-minute booking but I think worked out very well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice staff. The breakfast was awesome with waffles, cereal, fruits, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bagels, juices, and tons more. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. The beds were comfortable, and pillows felt like they were the "My Perfect Pillow" brand. The room was quite humid though, and I had to fight with the air conditioner to keep it at the temperature I set it at. Seems like it had a timer function that locks it out after a while. Overall the place was great on the inside, but the outside needs better lighting in the parking lots, and some curb appeal work. I really enjoyed my stay and would go back here again.

We got a 2 bed room near the dryers. The guy at the front desk is nice. Great selection for Continental breakfast but I read a review that this place was recently renovated and it's not. The wall paper is pealing at the seams and paint is beginning to peal on the ceiling. Decently clean place. The quarter machines are sitting empty and the vending machine took some guys money. My room key occasionally doesn't work for the side entry so I have to go through the front door. Someone should really clean up the cigarette butts buy all of the doors. The wood pillars are rotting away on the outside of the building. I haven't used the pool yet but the fitness center has 3 old machines in it that I'd never even bother trying to use. It's by far not a hidden gem but I slept good on the bed. Also, the Internet signal is a crap shoot.

Family liked staying there. Nice pool area with hot tub. Friendly service.

A little outdated but very nicely kept. Rooms are clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even chatted with us for a bit. Definitely recommend. Have stayed here before and will do so again. Great location — close enough to Grand Rapids to get to everything but no so close that you are right in the fray.

Wifi is very weak, cannot even support email on my phone. FORGET trying to do any work. Breakfast is crappy. The room is okay, nothing special, but at least no bed bugs.

The front desk clerk Justin was wonderful. After a stressful trip, his eagerness to help was welcome. Justin was polite and attentive, and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!

Great service, clean room, great appearance. Could have used more fresh fruit options with breakfast, but otherwise I was very satisfied. Would definitely recommend and return.

Looking for a clean hotel with 1990's charm? Then this is the place! TVs are updated to flat screens, but everything else is a bit of a time warp. Pool and hot tub area are clean and enjoyable. Breakfast is sparse, but does the trick. Waffles, eggs, sausage, and bagels. Basic, but good. Beds are comfortable, but the pillows are very stiff. Overall a nice stay, but don't expect the Ritz.

Staff was surprisingly pleasant. Room smelled nice and was clean. Bathroom fully stocked with toiletries. Comfy beds, slightly outdated rooms at a good price. Noise level was a little high for my taste, but I was located next to the common area. Would highly recommend.

Hotel was clean and the rooms around the pool were great.

First time staying here. It's a pretty nice place all in all. It has a nice breakfast lounging area with a indoor pool and hot tub. Pool table, air hockey and an arcade room for the kids. A quiet place with a great steak house next door. Rooms are clean and beds, pillows are comfortable. Coffee in the rooms, just a nice place. Would stay here again No questions asked.

This hotel is disgusting and sketchy to say the least. The room smelled and the sheets were stained and dirty. The towels were clearly re-folded from previous guests and there was still a dirty washcloth over the shower head when we got in our room. TV channels were all fuzzy, AC unit was loud all night. Would have been more comfortable sleeping in our car. And they charged us $160 for all of these "amenities".

Clean pool, nice staff and the room was nice! But the Price was what loored me in @ $88 a night;) ) ).

Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast was good too! An elevator would be helpful for those with problems navigating stairs. Would definitely stay here again.

What an excellent hotel for my family. We had such a great time in the open area swimming and playing games. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.

Very cool building, the room was average. Clean, tidy room with a relaxing environment. Pool area was very clean and interesting and the staff was great. Also, the breakfast was more than I expected for Tuesday morning at six.

I live in grandville and my mother and I would pay to stay here on my birthday for years until I got older. Definitely the best hotel in town.

Some staff members were rude. We had a large group. And were made to feel like a bother. For as much business as we brought in, staff was rude and didnt accommodate well. Overcharged us, asked us to leave sitting area during normal hours so that they could clean. Amongst other things. Their personnel could use some work.

Me and my friend and her mom all went their on last minute they were the best and our hotel room was right outside of the pool doors awesome.

We ended up here because the other hotel we were to stay at made a mess of our reservation. But it worked out as far as the quality and cost. All areas were clean, the staff were great, and we would go there again if in that area.
