We have had good experiences before with Residence Inn, but our stay here was not good. When we tried to go to bed around 11 pm it was super loud outside our window by the fire pit area. We did call the front desk, but the noise never stopped. The second night it was the same, with people being loud until at least 1 am. When we checked out the staff said sorry and that the area was supposed to be closed at 10 pm, which obviously didn’t happen. We were looking forward to a restful trip and it didn’t happen. The facilities are great there, but we were really dissatisfied with our stay. When you pay so much money to basically sleep somewhere we expect it to happen, otherwise we would have stayed at a cheaper and more convenient hotel for the weekend.

It's a nice cozy place. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. It's conveniently located next to couple of restaurants and across the street from a shopping center. Haven't faced any issues while staying here. Recommended.

I will definitely be revisiting. Danny and Thomas were great hosts providing A1 service.

The pool is nice, the staff is extremely friendly, the rooms have a full kitchen and if you feel like eating out there is a array of restaurants less than a mile away. The only down side is that the gym is small and the basketball court only has 1 hoop and ball.

Nice room, a little dirty; great breakfast; close to places to eat & shop which is directly across the street.

Staff was so friendly and helpful! Danny is amazing at what he does! He has the best personality and attitude for costumer service for sure! The room was amazing, I felt at home and will definitely return anytime I'm in the city.

The hotel was wonderful, the room had everything we could ask for and price was more then acceptable. Location was great, lots of choices for activites and food surrounded the area.

Had good breakfast with waffles, fruit, yogurt, eggs, toast, and juices in the lobby in the mornings. The two bedroom rooms were very spacious.

A couple of minor issues with the room (slow draining sink) but very nice. We were only there for one brief night, but it would be very comfortable for an extended stay. Breakfast was a nice variety of items. Good coffee.

Wonderful service and Great clean rooms.

The staff worked with us and were really great. They were very accommodating of our needs and very welcoming of us and our dog. We will definitely return on future trips to Grand Rapids.

Alrighty, time to talk about this place. So personally I don't like Residence Inns. I have always have had bad experiences with them, but I was willing to give this one a chance. That will never happen again. First, our room was awful. It wasn't bad roomy wise, it was the standard Residence Inn room, it just smelled of pet dander and wet dog. There was also dog hair everywhere. None of my family was, but I would feel bad for anyone who would be allergic to it. Next was the pillow fiasco. We wanted an extra pillow and blanket for our pull out bed. They said they didn't have enough. They shooed us off. How are my TWO little brothers going to share one pillow. They eventually gave us a pillow and a comforter. Finally was breakfast. We asked someone to refill the waffle maker batter. It took ten minutes. TEN MINUETS, for a crappy waffle! I watched the guy, he wasn't doing anything else. So unless you have a dog and need to say here, Do not stay here. P. S The only reason it has Two stars instead of one is the fact the dogs were cute.

Excellent location, walking distance to many restaurants and mall. Rooms are recently remodeled, nice layout. Breakfast is OK but social hour Mon, Tue and Wed has to be the worst seen ever, better to go to a restaurant close by.

Very friendly staff. The room was excellent, very comfortable, clean, and had everything you could need. Will definitely go back here if I'm in the Grand Rapids area again.

Absolutley lovely after the remodel. Enjoyed our stay very much and the staff was phenomenal. Makes a perfect place for a longer stay. With the kitchenette and the seperate suites.

Easy to locate, with ample parking, this hotel is close to excellent restaurants and shopping. The breakfast voices were plentiful and tasty. Decor in the room was tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked and it was a nice surprise to have a dishwasher.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Dropped off laundry by 8am but when I returned at 8pm from a long day, I was told that the laundry wasn't returned because it was picked up late. I was asked if I needed my clothes… yes, thats why I brought them down… I received a. Oh sorry about that. Then today (Sunday) I left my room at 10am and returned at 5pm and my room was not serviced, so I called the front desk and all I got was " oh sorry" The best part was Nicole who cleaned my room during the week, she was awesome!

Smells like smoke and mildew. Some light fixtures Broken. Had issues with the leak in the refrigerator moved to another room, was much better! I would choose a room on the third floor again, seems to have been more updated than downstairs room.

Very nice and clean. Staff was professional. I'm looking forward to my two week stay in May. A home away from home, but many more dining establishments.

We have stayed here many time, but never again. The bed was old, the fridge was loud and a dog in the next room barked all night. The staff had many chance to fix the fridge but instead just shut it off and told us to write a review. When we complained about the mattress they simply said maybe that room was missed during the remodel! We were never offered to move rooms or help to fix anything. I think they need a new manager or a real manager. I guess we will stop supporting this chain of hotels! Good luck to those who stay here.

Great location — Great people — My home when I travel to the area.

It's a nice, clean place to stay, but a horrible place to work for. FHG are cheapskates and don't care much for their employees. : (.
